Is homeandlighting.co Legit?

It is not clear on their website that if you order a 60 W solar street light it does not come with a mounting hardware you have to purchase separately. Even though they say they have a 60 day moneyback guarantee it is not a full refund. I told them that I wanted to return the light for a full refund as soon as I received it. They told me there was a $30 fee to return it, again not disclosed anywhere. They told me that the mounting hardware is sold separately is in the FAQs. Why would they bury an important fact in FAQs? Why would they not have something next to the picture of the light that says mounting hardware sold separately? Or something at checkout to draw your attention to the mounting hardware is separate this is deliberate of them, not being transparent.Buyer beware of this company.

Bought the solar flag light. Installed as per instructions it charged all day . It only lasts 3 hours . It's junk!!! Don't buy from this company. They do not stand behind their product. Phone calls are a waste of my time and they said I must be doing something wrong. I am not an idiot!!! Basically this product is a POS. "BEWARE"!!!!

If you enjoy being harassed and spammed by a company, these are your guys! They will email you nonstop and never let you unsubscribe from their emails and then when you complain, they increase their emails! These are a bunch of assholes behind this company, all the more reason to believe its a scam or they wouldn't honour their product.

Try to call company to deal with the problem with the lighting. Never could get a response from them. They don't seem to back up what they sell. I went to another company. Much better good response. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!!! BUYER BEWARE..

These lights were awesome. 4 of these lit up my whole riding pen. The different modes on the remote make them even better. Definitely a great purchase.

**FRAUD** Worst customer service ever!!!!! American based yet it has a huge "made in China" label across the side. I received a light but it only lights barely for about an hour. I wanted my money back, but they said they would only replace it after I sent a video of it NOT working. They also said I would have to pay for shipping, warehouse fees and restocking fees. I have contacted my bank, the BBB and Utah Dept of Commerce. Hopefully someone can get them shutdown. What a shame people are so devious.

I purchased three 1400 lumens solar powered street lights. The lights are very well-made, that are constructed of high strength plastics and the solar panel is incorporated into the top of the lights. To install these lights, you simply insert the mounting poles and put it on the telephone pole selected and screw it in. You then set it to the selected light pattern or motion detection and you’re done…

I place all 5 of the 800 44 LED Motion Sensor lights in rooms. Charge one day and the sensors work for 2 nights. I have not installed the other recent purchases yet, but I bought three 6000 Lumen motion sensor lights in 2021, and they have performed well. They pick up the motion of cats, racoons and foxes and people. I even snapped some pix of a gray fox that wandered past my window one night.

One of the worst experiences in my life. They are more concerned about milking customers through return shipping fees warehouse fees and a very arbitrary “return fee”. After being unhappy with a solar light that I purchased from them I contacted them and notified them that I’d like to return the item and to please send me a shipping label. After trying repeatedly to get a live agent on the phone I ended up e-mailing and finally got a return e-mail. The e-mail listed the slew of charges and the ridiculous number of hoops I had to jump through to get what amounted to a fraction of what I paid for this product. The last comment of their e-mail stated that after they reviewed and verified the return of this item I was then entitled to a “partial” refund! Never have I seen such greed and a blatant disregard for customer satisfaction. One of the worst experiences of my life!

This is an association of gangsters based in Utah.The state authorities have been reached out including police and FBI I just contacted the attorney general of Florida since it looks like they are trying to do something out of Miami.I hope that those crooks get arrested and go to jail for a long time !!!

We have purchased five lights from Home and Lighting; two of the 60W and three of the 140W Solar Street High Brightness. These are the best lights on the market because they perform as advertised; they stay on at full power all night, while the competition lights go dim because of weaker batteries. We look forward to buying more.

I started out with 1 test light, mounted above the back door on my deck. The remote that comes with it is ingenious and versatile, enabling you to customize various options. I have 2 outside gates and plan to mount each gate with this reliable solar powered device. When lit it opens up the sun in the blackest of nights. No one will venture into its illumination without being seen. A top security MUST!!

The lights worked as described. Subtle light at low setting, however the slightest detection of movement, its on all led, i have had 250 watt incandescent flood lights that no pun intended - “couldn't hold a candle to these.” While on the topic of bright, i believe Patrick has a bright future ahead, customer contact, from a thanks for the order to sending mounting instructions four days ahead of receipt of the lights. For a bright light and all future lighting requirements, you cannot go wrong with homeandlighting Co. ask for Patrick, tell him Mort sent you!

The lights were not as expected. The mounting did not allow me to install them the way I intended. The real problem was I was unable to reach anyone to arrange a return after multiple attempts over multiple days. That is unacceptable under any circumstancesThey claim now (July 2024) that I am a competitor but I assure you I bought direct from them for my personal use. Worst customer service ever. They're still sitting in a pile in my shop. No way to use them and no way to return them

We just built a new carport and wanted some nice solar lights for the front posts. HomeandLighting had the perfect lights for us!! Purchased them easily, delivery was flawless, and product was and is exceptional and just what we were looking for. They look great and we have them on 30% all the time and then they come on brighter if there is motion detected. Will keep this company’s information for future purchases!!Thank you HomeandLighting!!!

Easy to mount (other than getting comfortable being 20 feet up on a ladder). I was skeptical it would last all night on full brightness, but IT DID! The 2 pictures show it at 30% & 100% brightness. My intention was to leave it on the motion-sensing setting, but my flag seemed to set off the light repeatedly throughout the night, so I switched to full brightness all night. Makes a huge difference in a neighborhood with old-style, underpowered streetlights. I plan to buy more and install in other areas.

I purchased two of these lights and installed one above our French Doors leading to a back patio and the other over a garage window facing a parking area for guests. Both work great and supply just the right amount of illumination. These are easily installed lamps and perfect for areas where there is no electrical supply.

I ordered one of their outdoor security lights all their advertising shows the light with mounting brackets. The light can’t be placed or used without a bracket. Their marketing on this product doesn’t clearly state up front that the mounting bracket is sold separately. This information is hidden in the FAQ’s however. They will not refund the item because the box was damaged by rain. In addition they will not pay for shipping to return the item, and they will only refund a small portion of the purchase price.

Intact i have not install the lights but i had tested it for hours, it's amazing is nice, bright to extend i'm absolutely satisfied. I'm planning right now to buy some more to show my friend the new way to light up our street, yards and more. I am even thinking of introducing this amazing products to my state government in my country Nigeria, because we have electricity power pandemic in that continent.

“$2400 down the drain...”

I ordered 6 lights from them and after discovering a bait and switch on the lights, I requested an order cancellation. I have all of the communications via email. They never emailed a refund confirmation, and never refunded my money. This place is a total scam!
