holidayautos.com Review

The Scam Detector website Validator gives holidayautos.com one of the higher trust scores on the platform: 90.6. It signals that the business is best defined by the following tags: Authentic. Trustworthy. Secure.. We are confident about our score as we also partner with other high-tech, fraud-prevention companies that found the same results. So, why this score? We came up with the 90.6 score based on 53 aggregated factors relevant to holidayautos.com's industry. The algorithm detected little high-risk activity related to phishing, spamming, and other factors, as noted in the Authentic. Trustworthy. Secure. tags above. Long story short, we deem this a secure website. But let's explain in more detail.

Explaining Our Analytical Approach

We've displayed some important information within the Company Details section above, each deserving more explanation:

  • Proximity to Suspicious Websites
  • Threat Profile
  • Phishing Profile
  • Malware Score
  • Spam Score
  • Domain Blacklist Status
  • HTTPS connection
  • Domain Creation Date

While some are self-explanatory concerning holidayautos.com, let's look closer at the remaining ones.

Proximity to Potentially Harmful Websites

This metric gauges the connection, scored on a scale of 1 to 100, between holidayautos.com and websites marked as suspicious. Elevated scores point to a stronger link with these questionable online destinations. It's worth noting that website owners might not always be aware of their site's proximity to these dubious platforms or servers. However, a "Proximity to Suspicious Websites" score surpassing 80 strongly indicates a high-risk website, while a score below 30 signifies a less-threatening site.

Risk Factors: Threat, Phishing, Malware, and Spam

These indicators reveal the vulnerabilities and elements embedded within the HTML code of holidayautos.com. They become especially pertinent if the website has received reports from internet users who've encountered unsolicited emails, ads, or messages related to the site. In the context of holidayautos.com, our investigation continues working to pinpoint the specific category, but we welcome your insights in the comments below. A high Malware score generally implies the presence of suspicious code that might be unknowingly disseminated. Conversely, a high Spam score hints at a possibly spam-ridden email address associated with the business. Scores under 30 in both categories are reassuring, but any score surpassing this threshold should raise concerns. holidayautos.com is an authentic, safe website, given all the risk factors and data numbers analyzed in this in-depth review. Share your experience in the comments.

Domain Blacklisting Status

This term indicates whether holidayautos.com has landed on any online directories' blacklists and earned a suspicious tag.

Assessing HTTPS Connectivity

This section provides insight into whether holidayautos.com boasts an 's' at the end of the 'HTTP' protocol listed in your browser's address bar. If the tab displays in green, consider it a positive sign.

Safe Check

We want our trust scores and reviews to be as accurate as possible so that you can protect yourself from online fraud. Our algorithm aggregates factors that efficiently analyze a company's website, in this case, holidayautos.com.

located next to malaga train station, excellent value for money, in and out of the rental office in 5 minutes, staff ever so helpful. Good clean car, only charged me for the correct amount of fuel I had used, would highly recommend holiday autos, and centauro car hire
Holiday Autos are great - low cost, good website. Goldcar are terrible - tried to sell extra insurance - tried ignored fact I had separate excess insurance and repeated said it was needed. Finally they grumpily accepted this! Credit card was actually charged £1000+ rather than just a pre-approval. Refund of this was £50 short - after contacting them they did acknowledge this and provided a refund - wonder if they do this to everyone and hope they don't notice
Holiday Autos nearly always offers the best value for money and peace of mind. The local hire company reviews and details are accurate and transparent along with all associated charges. On the odd occasion we have needed their help they have stepped in and resolved issues without drama which cannot always be said for the hire companies themselves. Excellent all round.
The staff was very professional. I called to say I would be late picking up the car, no problem. Many accessories umbrella, phone holder and charger. Definitely a good experience.
Your side was easy very clear how to book there side at dollar not so good rip of can’t speak clear English charging you with what ever they want cos you can’t make out a word what there saying
I have been using Holiday Autos for years and it is really a great way of booking a car. The problem I have is with GoldCar, the company I booked a car with. I paid the rental with an American Express card. When I arrived to to place, GoldCar did not accept American Express so I had to use my Visa Debit Card, that they charged immediately for the excess and rest of the stuff (around 1800 Euros) - and is going to take now up until 30 days for them to return my money. This is not acceptable!
Great experience from start to finish. Recommend getting the pre-booking setup which is available - made picking up the car a breeze as all details already captured.
All as expected. Follow all the information about what you need, expect high deposit and have correct documents/credit cards and all straight forward.
Easy to use, great value car hire platform that I use every time I go to Europe. Cars have always exceeded my expectations. Highly recommend Holidayautos for great bargains on great car hire.
At least give the car range booked. Struggled to fit our luggage in. Wasn't a 5 seater as booked. Mini range given so less than 1000cc and although good for town driving, absolutely shocking for any sort of incline. Our holiday was in Derbyshire so anything uphill was taken like a donkey, absolutely shocking and embarassing!
I have used Topcar in excess of 10 times, and have always given a 5 star review. This time I can only award 4 stars as the time waiting at the service desk was unacceptable.
Lovely carEfficient processOnly problem was delay caused by everthing being in Arabic - should have been checked and sorted before it was cleared for rental again
Decent car at a resonable price apart from having to pay a premium for my age twice!!Resonable pick up and excellent drop off.
Clear rental options, ability to select supplier and filter out dubious hire firms, reasonable rates. I have used holiday autos many times a year since it was created >25 years ago.
I had two different bookings with holiday autos for a car rental in Italy. Both times the provider did not give us a car nor a solution or refund, one because we were late (delayed because of a ferry crossing). We paid hundreds of euros upfront only to be denied a car twice. I have tried to contact for support but am met with no response. I will not be using holiday autos again due to their lack of engagement and genuine attempts to help.
We hired a car via Holiday Autos for a trip to the US however had to cancel which we did within 5 days of travel. HA are refusing to refund our monies. There is no one to provide help or assistance and these messages on this site are being written by an AI bot. So many complaints on this site unresolved. Terrible service.
Professional staff at collection point. Paperwork completed speedy and efficiently. Vehicle not ready and alternive car supplied. Vehicle was still dirty after washing as had damage on it. Video Recorded. Alternative Satnav setup by staff, very helpful as Sat Nav ordered in UK was not available. Good Service.
The experience was very smooth, pick up bus was waiting,no queues at car reception when picking up car.Car was in immaculate condition and clean. The return process was equally efficient and was the dropp off to airport, only 2 minutes away.
used holidayautos / okmobility for a car hire in sardinia. booked for 1 week with flight number and pickup time was early ( 3hrs) to ensure my car was available. turned up at hire company 1pm on the day and they had cancelled my booking. was unable to hire car and holiday autos customer service were no help at all
Excellent service from Dollar (through the Hertz desk)Efficient and very friendly staff. Spoke excellent English and no hard sell for extras either!Car was in excellent condition, very high spec and fairly new.Drop off was very efficient too. Would highly recommend.

“They stole my money becarful”

I want to share my disappointing experience with Holiday Autos' app and website. I rented a car through their platform, but when I arrived to pick it up, I found that the vehicle was not the one I had booked. Instead, it was much smaller and in poor condition. I recorded a video of the car and immediately contacted Holiday Autos to resolve the issue. They told me they would investigate and get back to me within 20 days. Despite my request for a refund on the spot, they refused. After two months of following up with them, I was finally informed that they would not be issuing a refund. I strongly advise others to be cautious when using this website or app. Based on my experience, you might end up losing your money with no proper resolution. Service Value Shipping Returns Quality

“Book with Holiday Autos of you want to loose your money”

They stole my money 456 euors and did not give me a car I Booked a car with holiday autos and they did not pay my money back, We i reached to pick up the car with SIXT cars, at union station DC, USA, The lady did not have a car to give me. The ladies who worked at Sixt cars were also rude. They did not have a car to give me. So they mentioned I was late to pick up the car, but I stood right there and called Sixt call center and they booked the same car that i booked and it was available at the same Sixt car center at union station and they still did not want to give the car even when I see the car in front of me. They still told there was no car available. So they mentioned on holiday autos that I was late, I have provided all the evidence to Holiday Auto and they still did not want to release my money even when I did not pick up the car. I have communicated several email and their answer to me is so show them the evidance that i was there on time, so i have told them that my friend dropped me by car and i showed them that i had made two bookings with sixt and the cars where not given to me, I show them that i later booked with heartz and I had rented the car but they still don't believe me. In Conclusion Holiday Autos are there to steal your money and not to give you any car. All the good reviews they have about holiday autos are Fake. “Absolute scammers...!”

That's a message they sent me after I could not get my car from a rental... I have spent 800 euros for that... Thank you for your correspondence. I regret that you were unable to use the car rental booking you made through us. I can only imagine how frustrating this could be for you, please accept my sincere apologies for the whole stressful situation Every effort is made to accommodate changing pick-up times, but the car rental agent is not always in a position to hold a vehicle after the pick-up time has passed or to keep the rental desk open. Our customer is our primary concern, but we must stand by the rental terms and conditions that you agreed to at the time of booking: All cancellations (which includes the amendments) should be made online via the Manage Booking page prior to the scheduled pick-up time and not with the car rental provider. I am sorry Mantas but in this case the booking will be considered as a no-show which occurs for various reasons including the following: "1 - You didn't inform us about your cancellation prior to your pick-up time. 2 - You failed to pick up the car at the arranged time and date. 3 - Your flight is delayed which results in a late arrival at the rental desk and your flight number was not provided. In the event of any of the above, no refunds will be made to you. Please be advised that the above-mentioned terms and conditions were available to you prior to completing the booking (it is mandatory to tick the box "I agree to the terms and conditions"). They were also displayed on your confirmation voucher sent to your email address upon confirming the offer on: Thu, 20-Jun-2024 | 14:05 Therefore, due to the fact that the terms and conditions were not met, and the cancellation policy was agreed to by you at the time of making the booking, we are unable to offer you a refund on this occasion. I trust you appreciate the fact that we do not have any influence or control over flight disruptions. I do recommend that you contact your travel insurance company, you may find you are entitled to claim a refund. Alternatively, you can contact your airline to find out if they are in a position to offer you compensation for the inconvenience caused by the flight disruption. I am sorry that we are unable to provide the solution you were hoping for on this occasion and I apologize for any inconvenience caused by this matter. Products used:Tried to rent a car... “Awful experience”

Awful experience at the island of Tinos...we tried to cancel the booking and because of late respond of the company we lost our money...no refund at all without using any service of the company. Not recommended Service Value Shipping Returns Quality

“Oplichting”

What terrible scammers! There was no one at the airport and money was lost. Never rent here! Was waiting for an employee at Salzburg airport. No one came. No one could be reached by phone number. Afterwards they informed me by email that I was too late. There were several other carcompanies waiting. Landed 6 minutes later. Pure fraud!

“Avoid at all costs - Any excuse to cancel you booking and keep your money.”

If you are an 90 mins late they will shaft you. My advice would be to steer well clear of Holiday Autos and Europcar. They charged me my full 10 day rental plus insurance and cancelled my entire booking Just for being 90 mins late. They might seem cheap, this is the reason. Service Value

“! Warning! Stay away from this company. Their business is fraud.”

They charged my credit card upon booking (in my case two month in advance) they do not pay to the car supplier, found some excuse not to provide the car. I called them for assistance. Their customer support kept me on hold for 30 minutes. I had to rent a car with an other supplier on the airport, They refuse to refund. It looks as a very lucrative business, they are taking money from customers, tricking them and providing nothing in return. Service Value Returns Quality

“In case of issues they are "just an introductory service"”

Completely dishonest company. Hiding behind a weak excuse like "we're just an introductory service" when problems with the actual renting company arise. Had contact with them via customer support. They promised me to solve the issues. Sadly, they never did and never will. Tip for consumers:never do Products used:car rental Service Value Returns Quality

“Do Not Rent Through Them!”

This place is a scam. Placed a dispute through my CC to get money back. My booking doesn't exist when I tried to contact them. Website just comes up blank. Thank goodness I checked before going on vacation.

“Scammers. Avoid like the plague. Use competitors or book direct.”

Total scam. Never use! Rented through Europcar via Holiday Autos. Holiday autos messed up the booking so we did not take the car and then refused to refund even though they had already ruined our holiday plans. No phone number to call so have to wait several days between emails. Will not return the money paid.

“Dreadful experience”

Dreadful service, claimed the price paid online was the full amount (including full insurance and taxes etc) yet on arrival Goldcar charged an extra £150 to release the car. Despite me notifying Holiday Autos immediately who said they would assist once I returned the vehicle at the end of the holiday, now they completely wash their hands of it. Sadly I didnt read up on them prior to the booking and can now see many others have experienced the same fraudulent activities Steer well clear, dodgy sales tactics Tip for consumers:Avoid Products used:Car hire Service Value Shipping Returns Quality

“Do NOT EVER rent a car from Holiday Autos!”

I booked with Holiday Autos thinking I was getting a good deal, but they did not honour the booking and refused to give me a refund for the money paid. I had to rent from another company and so ended up paying for two cars. NEVER rent with Holiday Autos - they are actually thieves! How can people like this sleep at night. Service Value

“Absolute joke. Bunch of crooks”

Absolute joke. You think you have cancelled but they just keep sending emails saying it will be 20 days over and over. Im going to take an action against them to claim my money back. If you would like help doing the same leave a review above this with your email. I will help you file the case. We can bring these crooks down if we get enough judgments. You are the lowest of the low. People work hard for holidays.

“Strongly do not recommended the services of thi broker”

I strongly do not recommend the services of this broker. Case Ref: *******, I had to pursue a complaint myself from the Budget rental company, which wrongly charged over $ 300 extra after returning the car. Eventually, after a monthly exchange of correspondence, 75% of the fee was returned to me, so I had to pay 25%. Holiday Autos, for 50 days, lied that whatever they were doing about it, their policy is to drag the claim until the customer forgets the topic. The only contact with this intermediary is via chat, only then you can maintain correspondence by e-mail. Holiday Autos is a frivolous company that approaches the client in an unprofessional manner, if nothing happens, it is ok, but in the event of a complaint, they are not able to defend their client. Service Value Shipping Returns Quality

“Worked as expected”

After confirming my reservation on holiday autos I was able to look up the voucher directly through thrifty. I'm assuming this also works for other vendors as well. Chose to pay at the counter and everything went smoothly. Thanks for the deal. Tip for consumers:Look up the voucher number on the car rental company to confirm that your reservation worked Service Value Quality

“Don't take their insurance - it's a con”

"Don't take the risk: Buy our insurance to cover your excess". And I stupidly fell for this when I booked my car in Cape Town. Minor accident - my fault - and rental company took £1900 from my account. AXA who apparently underwrite the policy won't pay because the rental company is not providing them with a sufficient breakdown of what part of the £1900 was spent on the car I hired on what on the other car (what does it matter?) - refuse to pay a penny. Holiday Autos say: "Nothing to do with us - we only make the introduction. Complete scam. If I'd paid the rental company a bit more when I hired to cover any excess on an insurance claim I would have been fine, but because I followed Holiday Auto's advice I'm nearly £2000 worse off - and no one cares.

“Don't book with them!”

I got car booked with them, everything was paid upfront(my mistake!), and after my flight was rescheduled they didn't want to modify my booking, had to order another car, after contacting them, they are ignoring me all the time for 2 weeks now, lost €400 and had to order another car, please be careful as I am never gonna do it again with Holiday Autos and I am warning everyone from doing so! Tip for consumers:Don't book with them! Products used:Had to book another car Service Value Shipping Returns Quality

“Extremely dissatisfied and disappointed”

Rent a car through this rental company for Spain and had the worst experience I ever had. I have rented cars in many different cities around the world but never seen any company unreasonable with poor customer service like this company. They essentially have no customer service. They refuse to understand passengers may not be able to pick up the car at the time indicated given travelling from one country or continent to another. All rental companies provide flexibility on pick ip and drop off times when they charge daily. This company only let you to pick up the car and drop off at the exact time or you will be charged a significant amount. When complain they literally take no responsibility. I truly think they work out of someone's home and has a couple of employees. Dont use them.

“Rip Off”

Do not trust this company. I booked a car using their service and also paid for additional money for their advertised insurance partner alliance. When I collected the vehicle from Europcar, they would not accept the insurance and insisted I used theirs at an additional $50 per day. I booked the car from Manchester Airport with Drop off at Lincoln Town - this was clear on the booking - there were no disclaimers in the small print. When I dropped the car off I was charged an additional fee for premium pick up at Manchester and a huge charge for dropping off at a different locations. Additional fees were $600. In total 4 days car hire went from less than $400 to +$1000 (small car). When I contacted Holiday Autos for assistance they basically say hard luck. Don't go near them. Would have give no stars but the system does not allow this

“Appalling company. Should not be in business.”

Appalling company. Lied to us we would receive a refund after not being able to provide the rental car from Sixt at Faro airport. They sent the claim forms out and then reneged. We are now faced with using our credit card company to recover the funds, almost £500. Do not trust this company Tip for consumers:Don't use. You have no comeback with car brokers such as this Products used:car hire Service Value Shipping Returns Quality

“Poor customer service”

Booked a transfer from Chicago airport to a Hotel. The taxi did not show up and the Holiday Autos emergency line was not answered (!). Incurred extra costs of taxi, phone calls plus the obvious inconvenience. Holiday Autos complaints procedures seem deliberately difficult and designed to deter you from claiming compensation. I would think carefully about using them, there are other options out there!

“Declines issuing an invoice”

Holiday Autos decline issuing an invoice despite receiving a payment and doesn't give an explanation to why. Keep getting the same reply - As a third-party broker, we are only in a position to provide a payment receipt for the amount processed online when making your booking. After asking how can they generate a receipt and not an invoice they went dark on me. I'm pretty sure that's a tax fraud. Avoid! Tip for consumers:Just avoid. Don't do business with tax frauds Service Value Shipping Returns Quality

“Never showed up”

Never showed up to meet me and charged me. I disputed with my credit card company and they told them I was a no-show. I waited 2.5 hours after an overnight flight. Ruined my trip. No refund. Worst company Ever Tip for consumers:Don’t use holiday auto Products used:None Service Value Shipping Returns Quality

“Terrible company- Beware hidden terms and conditions”

Reserved a car for a few days for pick up from Hertz in northern Ireland. Didn't end up needing the car as long as planned so returned it to another Hertz location, where we were assured of a refund for the unused days. After a month and two follow up inquiries they declined to give a refund, pointing to a clause in the terms and conditions, stating no refunds for early return. This was not clearly stated on the confirmation notice, but buried within the fine print. This is a terrible company – don't use them! Products used:Car hire Service Value Returns Quality

Top 5 Effective Ways To Spot a Scam Website [VIDEO]

There are many types of fake sites in the online world. We have some good news. Watch the video below to see the 5 effective ways you can spot a fraudulent website in 2024:

How To Remove Your Information From the Internet

Whether you like it or not, unfortunately, the Internet has all your personal information stored. How did that happen? Every time you visit a simple site and accept cookies, consent to their forms, or download an app, unscrupulous data brokers collect not just your phone number, name, AND address. They also sell this to third parties, which creates a $1 billion industry a year. Your collected personal data is used by buyers to send you never-ending spam emails, targeted ads, and, of course, telemarketing calls. Crooks use all your data without remorse.

We can help. Many people have asked us about how to remove your personal information from the Internet. If you want your data deleted entirely from the online world, contact our official partners at Incogni immediately. This legitimate data privacy tool works on your behalf to officially require a ton of online brokers to remove your data.

Our staff verifies that this service works and is trustworthy. For robust, essential protection, their Standard plan is a steal at just $8.29 for individuals, and you can extend that crucial peace of mind to your entire household with the Family plan (up to 5 users) for only $16.49. They also introduced the Unlimited plan starting from $14.99 that covers not only automatic data removals, but also unlimited custom removals available right away upon purchasing the Unlimited plan. It allows users to submit websites not yet covered by Incogni and get their data removed from there, too. They also offer a free exposure scanner that will give you an insight into what data of yours is exposed and where.

Please note, however, that we cannot verify non-operational websites or those redirected to other URLs. Additionally, we do not verify websites involved in high-risk financial services, gambling, adult content, or illegal activities.
