Is hike-footwear.co.uk Legit?

The shoes are just slightly more robust than my $10 water shoes. Comfortable as house slippers but you can feel every bump or rock when walking outside. The sizing range runs large so they slip off too easily. I bought them as part of a BOGO “sale”, thought I was getting a deal, ended up feeling ripped off. Definitely not worth the $40/pair I paid.

I purchased two pairs as buy one get one free, same size. One was noticeably larger so contacted customer service about replacing that pair. The representative was prompt in responding and taking care of the issue. Even through email I got the sense of personal care. (Thank you!) The shoes are comfortable. What negatives I've experienced are the shoes slide off my heels on certain terrains (ie: slopes), and it is easy to trip over the tip of the toe box. That said, I'm willing to try the winter shoe when the time comes.

I can’t give 4 because I just got them. I am barefoot whenever possible but it’s just not doable for all occasions. They are very comfortable, very similar to being barefoot but with a very comfortable sole. Quick drying. Machine washable. Wasn’t thrilled with the fact that I paid close to $50, then saw the exact same shoe on Amazon for $19. I bought the $19 one also because I like the shoe and out of curiosity. Turns out, exactly the same shoe. Live and learn. Guess I should have checked Amazon first. I do recommend the shoes but strongly urge a potential buyer to check around the internet for the cheapest price.

I had high hopes for these shoes. Unfortunately they were so stinking flimsy. They hurt more than just walking barefoot. Definitely do not recommend.

Did not think shoe was that durable or comfortable. Was too expensive for the amount of times I used them. Which basically was 1 or 2 times to the beach. Didn't feel safe walking my dog or using them for hiking over rough terrain. Definitely couldn't wear them at work, standing and running about for 12 hour shifts. Wish I had not purchased.

Hike Barefoot shoes are like a return to childhood for me, soft, comfy, and cute. They also provide stability for wobbly ankles!I have accumulated five pairs, & may get more. There was a small issue with my last order, & I mentioned it in a review. Almost immediately I heard from customer service! They jumped in & took care of the problem quickly & without being asked. I have never experienced such fantastic customer service!A great company all around.

Remarkable shoes. I can walk on stoney pathways (which I don’t do often or for long periods of time) & not feel pain. The shoes provide a different & unexpected feeling, almost like I’m not wearing anything on my feet at all. They’re wide at the front of my feet, which is great as I’ve had bunions for most of my life, & the shoes don’t make my feet ache after wearing them for hours as other ones do - even sneakers & other casual shoes.

I love my summer barefoot shoes and am a repeat customer with those. This is my first time ordering the winter ones. I haven't received them yet, but really wanted the company to know I visited the site repeatedly trying to make a decision. It would be really helpful if the descriptions of the shoes told what was different between the different styles. If you make different styles I am sure there is a reason but I have no idea what it was is most cases.

The product sells itself & it helps immensely to have the nicest, most helpful sales people around! I was totally sold on the barefoot shoes the minute I put on my first pair! I haven’t put on another type of shoes ever since! I’m the proud owner of 3 pairs of Hike’s footwear! And I found another pair I gotta have! I’m planning to have a hip replacement surgery soon and the shoes even help with that! I can’t imagine finding another pair of shoes that I like better!

Sheila was the customer service agent that help me resolve my issue. She was professional, very knowledgeable and helped me correct the mistake I made at check-out. She even called me back when I hung up on her inadvertently. Great customer service! I can't wait to receive my shoes. I'll write a review when I receive them.

I like the concept. The shoe is very flexible on the foot . Unfortunately one foot is larger in width than the other foot. So I have a hard time getting the bigger foot into shoe. Even with adjusting the laces some days don’t work. If you can develop a wider width shoe. Also have high arch. So not completely sold on shoe but concept is creative to fit shape of foot.

I primarily wear mine my hike-footwear indoors. Planning on ordering the orthotic insole. The primary structure of the shoes is very good. I appreciate the wide toe box compared to other athletic footwear on the market. They are easy to slip on and off. Will definitely consider purchasing again.

I love the shoes. I bought the inserts and I don't like those. I put them in my shoes and they felt comfortable, but the minute I started walking my heel kept coming out of the shoes. So I took them out and the shoes were fine again. The inserts sit up too high in the shoes. And I can't send them back because I've already cut them to size. I'm very disappointed in the inserts and would not recommend buying them, but I highly recommend the shoes. They are extremely comfortable.

Buyer Beware! The shoes are horrible! No support at all, and their 'customer service' is nonexistent. If I could give them zero stars I would. I am a real person, they are not getting my photo ID.

I have a recurring plantar fasciitis, have purchased several different brands to minimize the pain. My Hike bearfoot shoes are the only, repeat only, one I can wear all day, day after day and have no pain, and I mean none. Love them so much, I bought two more pair.

So far so good, and your customer service is to be commended for responsiveness to my questions.The shoes have been a relief for my feet and peripheral nerve problems. Like wearing socks around with a bit more support and protection from gravel and rougher terrain. The support and comfort also includes the flexible upper and elastic shoe ties. I have a real case of hammer toes and the cushioning and room is comfortable, feels healthy. I will run these by my podiatrist at my next visit to have his concurrence. I also purchased an orthotic insole for my regular Brooks Running street shoes - it has my vote so far.

The quality and comfortability of the shoes is excellent! Shoes are true to size and fit like a glove. Only complaint is the insole wear out quickly and make the shoes unusable. It would be great if customers could order original replacement insoles.

I got these shoes because I'm on my feet a lot. I have mats on the floor but wanted a flexible house shoe that I could pull on & kick off easily. Like a few others who've commented here, I missed (or muffed) the "Size" pulldown menu and received two pairs of size 4 shoes. Because some of the emails from the company had a Chinese address, I contacted the US email address, and they sent me a replacement pair promptly. I've been having knee problems lately, and these shoes seem to have fixed that -- I was so impressed that I wore them out on the street the same day I got them! They aren't hiking boots, but they work for my needs.

I bought a pair of black shoes recently and think they are wonderful. Recently replied to ad SAVE $ IF YOU BUY 2 PAIRS. Of course I bit and bought white pair for myself and black pair for husband's birthday present. They arrived today, mine without plastic piece that holds end of laces together on one shoe. Other piece with holes to thread thru laces just found in the bag. Missing piece no where to be found. What to do now? My husband is wearing his Sept. 22 present now. Hopefully will respond positively to our love. Thank you

Love, love, love my Hikes! They are so comfortable - almost like going barefoot - but better! Toes don't feel cramped and they're easy to put on too. Only improvement would be a little more arch support.
