I have shopped in HEMA off and on over the course of several years as an expat, but finally gave up on this store completely. The quality for every single item I purchased was so bad, that this store wasn't sufficient for even the simplest of items. For example, I bought pens, but they were all dried out from the time I pulled them from the packaging. It's too bad, because there isn't a large variety of shops in Holland, but I wasted my money too many times at HEMA.
Once you have registered for the newsletter of this company it is impossible to adjust or even end your registration to their newsletter.Once you click save changes on the adjustment page it will automatically revert all settings back to the full newsletter. In other words, once you have subscribed to the newsletter you are stuck with it forever.And don't try to contact them about it, they just ignore you.
Shame on you Hema supporting a occupying body that is killing women and children, since 7 October at least 7500 people dead and killed under collapsed buildings, hospitals, churches and mosques. Dear sir/madam Today first time I was in Hema Restaurant oder double Espresso but price shocked me đŸ˜² 4,50 € I personally found very expensive for just few sip of black water....I will not recommend any of my colleagues, friends, family members to go to hema restaurant,
I regularly visit HEMA in the centre of Amersfoort (Utrechtsestraat 16) sometimes for kitchen appliances and office supplies or to print photos, often to pick DHL parcels. I’ve had the most positive experience today with three wonderful ladies at the service desk. The sender sent the package via DHL to this HEMA but in a wrong way that it ended up being addressed directly to HEMA. The parcel ended up in a different department completely but I was selflessly helped by these amazing people in a most kind way. Way to go, the level of politeness and humanity, it is so rare these days in the area of customer service.
I recently bought 2 sets of TWS earbuds from an Hema shop while on holiday in France. The first set took a while to pair with my phone, then they worked well for a few days before one of the charging connectors broke, so I now have a single working earbud. The other set simply won't work as a stereo pair: I can get either the left or the right side to play at any one time, but both together seems to be impossible. I emailed Hema customer support, their reply was polite but essentially said that they were unable to help. I am referring to the Hema TWS earbuds, article number 39.63.0154 don't waste money on them - poor quality product and useless customer support!
We have ordered a personalized Mug at Hema, and received the info that the mug was available. This was not correct, but the shop personal indicated that they could not do anything about it. We called later the producer, and the customer help desk, and everyone blamed the other for not doing their work. We then get the BS message that the product was shipped to the wrong destination, so lying and been not consistent is the way of working.
They do not allow you to return items that have been open, even if you didn't use them. Just opened the package to realize it's not the right size, but now I have to keep it anyway.
Never in my life I have left a negative review, but here they sold me a broken coffee press in Almere Haven and when I went back to the store, expecting them to just exchange as it was their fault, they did not. Worst customer service. How can the customer know this? On the website it says that we can return within 30 days, I went to the store at the same time I received the product so I wouldn't have any problems saying that I used the pillow. She said there was a display on the floor and they didn't have the pillow that I bought as a display, I went to the store before buying to see what the pillow was like but there wasn't one. I lost money and I'm not going to use that pillow. This is very revolting.

I've been waiting to receive a few notebooks that ordered for 20 days now. They said that it got lost during shipment and that they would let me know through email. Guess what? That didn't happen. Five weeks ago I have purchased 4 tailored curtains for my new house and was informed that it would take 4 weeks. I have paid a % and remaining at delivery date. 5 weeks later and I am going again to the store and for my surprise I am told that part arrived (no information or email provided), but I need to pay everything but the remaining curtains, they dont know when they will arrive and I cannot cancel. the order anymore. For me, this is unacceptable service, lack of information and transparency in the process. If I know this, I would have purchased the curtains somewhere else. I recommend nobody to purchase this type of products at HEMA.
