Is hatsandcaps.co.uk Legit?

Bought a Tilley hat. After less than 4 mont the fabric on the brim loosened from the inside seam. (I have a similar hat for 4 years with no problems). Hatsandcaps/Willagehats repeatedly refused my warranty claim due to the hat being more than 3 month. I explained that I am entitled to a repair og new hat according the British legislation.But they still refused to honor any warranty.

I have found their customer service very good. They responded quickly, I received correspondence from 'real people' and I am happy to still be using and recommending Village Hats.

Cannot rate higher than five stars but would if I could. Great product, great service, genuine people.Definitely the "go-to" company.

I have been buying hats from hatsandcaps for some time and I have found them to be excellent quality and service. Never had a problem and I get comments from people about how good their hats look.

My Village Hat sun hat (Sunday Afternoons Hat - Sol Seeker, Blue, M) arrived as scheduled and has a lovely weight and feel to it, and it fits my 57cm head brilliantly.I also thought the packaging was very good - neat and substantial to protect the product. I shall certainly recommend you to friends and visit your store again should I need another hat in the future.

Gaspard the Superstar!I had a stressful situation re InPost sending the wrong parcels across the country - Village Hats received a huge package not meant for them but of high value to me. Despite this really not being their problem, Gaspard massively helped me out getting it sent back to the intended retailer. So appreciated and great to get clear prompt email responses vs getting stuck in a 'bot' loop!Oh and the hats that I did buy were great also :) Thanks again Gaspard!

I give Village Hats 10 stars! I got the beautiful hat within 2 days - even during the postal strike - and it's far, far better than I'd imagined. Huge Mad Hatter's hat, top quality, velvet, beautifully crafted and stitched, and fits any head size because it's stretchy inside. I'm going to be wearing it all over Xmas & New Year, not only for the celebration in March that I'd bought it for. (I foresee friends asking to borrow it, too...) I've saved VH's details to pass on to friends, and for when I need another hat. Thank you, VH! x

Made email enquiry for a cromwellian hat on Sunday afternoon ,few minutes later they came back asking for more details and photo if possible which I sent. Madison replied they did not have that actual hat ,sent photos their alternatives. They aren’t quite what I had in mind , what quick efficient way of dealing with a potential new customer!

This is a company that cares about their product and their customers. Anything that's come up over the 10 or so years that I've been buying from them, they're always there to do the necessary work and resolve it. Their packaging is perfect for hats and they also have a warehouse in EU to ship to EU customers without going through customs. I doubt there's a better hat store out there in UK and EU (tried very many), so a 5 star rating here is only fair.

Ordered a Kangol pork pie hat late on a Sunday and received it on Thursday. Sizing was perfect using their sizing guide, I’m between sizes so ordered the larger size and used a hat resizing band and I am more than happy with it.There is a lot of bad reviews for Village Hats which I think is an American company but the UK branch, if they are the same company, I would definitely order from again.

Had never heard of this company before, but came across them by searching the Internet- after trying and returning lower quality items from other places.The advice on the site and the delivery service (and option of free returns, given I'd had to return items I didn't like from other places) made me give them a go.And I was delighted with the two products I bought. Best beanies I have ever had. They are now my "go to" place for hats!

My delivery was late due to Royal Mail strike but my query was answered so quickly and when my faux fur pill box hat arrived in a large box I was not disappointed so beautiful, so chic and so warm. I will be buying another shortly in black. Would definitely recommend 100%.Rosie P
