Zero regard for confidentiality and for data protection.Since December 2023,I have been receiving numerous text messages sent to my phone and outpatient appointment letters meant for a completely unknown person sent to my home address. Despite swiftly making a formal complaint regarding breach of data protection in December 2023, l still continue to receive multiple text messages and even last week , I received a phone call . My complaint was ignore for the longest time . Carley Peck , The Deputy Head of Patient Resolutions and her colleague, Uthayakumar Davidson modus operandi is to sweep serious complaints under the carpet.I have sufficient evidence and I will happily provide the evidence if requested. Yesterday, I received a phone call from the person that is handling my complaint . When she realised that she couldn't bully and intimidate me to accept the pathetic lies that she was presenting , she became very aggressive , She then went ahead to commit a further breach of data protection herself . I have presented this complaint to Carley Peck , but she refused to action this complaint.Unfortunately. i strongly believe that many outpatients of this disgraceful hospital details must have been compromised without their knowledge. This is because in the initial stage, the person handling my complaint told me over the phone that they have recently acquired a new system and that she suspects that this has caused patients details to be compromised; Sadly she has decided to embrace changing the narrative and has been telling reckless lies instead of being upfront ,As aforementioned , I am happy to provide overwhelming evidence to this disgraceful hospital. I used to be an outpatient of this hospital. My confidentiality was breached when I attended an outpatient appointment . I never went back there again !
Fantastic hospital!! Couldn’t have wished for better care and treatment. Staff was super helpful, attentive, caring and professional. I recovered quickly. Food was very good and entire Admission ward and room I was in was super clean. Couldn’t be happier 🙏Better than some private hospitals!! Would give 6 stars if I could ❤️
Dental treatment very goodBut trying to contact department re when appointment to contine treatment is impossible by phone Have tried different times always told in a queue usually hang on for about half an hour Why can't they say where you are in the queue as lots of other companies do
I dislike the idea of no soft soothing music for the patients on the wards!...My mother stayed in St Thomas hospital for a week and she nearly turned into a vegetable staring at the walls day and night. imagine patients who stay in there for weeks and weeks?.. Unless you pay to view the TV With the headphones on, You might aswel turn into a fossil. Most patients don't like the idea of paying to watch TV With headphones on. A Nice Soothing music in the wards would make a lot of difference to the patients.
Today I attended guys dental hospital after a 111 referral , I suffer with really bad anxiety around dental treatment and any visit to the dentist is always very difficult for me .From the moment I arrived to my whole journey of treatment that involved 3 extractions I was treated with respect and empathy. I felt really supported and they understood how hard it was for me . Everything was fully explained to me step by step ,they were through with my medical history I felt involved in the whole process .I cant thank the staff enough for making my visit today a pleasent experiance. Thankyou all so much .
I would not even give the hospital one star. The management is appalling. I asked over a year ago to be transferred to another hospital. Ignored, so made a formal complaint. A year later still not transferred. Shocking attitude from the management .Medics average ,but the management is an absolute disgrace . Even worse , I am recovering from, a massive stroke and ruptured brain tumour not treated for those conditions at Guys , neither would I be, after this.
I spent 3 attempts- each call lasted over an hour, waiting in a queue only to be cut off after the hour and reaching 1st in the queue I got a dead line! Very frustrating as my son is sick and needed to reschedule appointment. I ended calling the surgery line to get through. I got sent another appointment but am unable to open the appointment letter as doesn’t recognise my sons name. The system is flawed.

Dental medicine department is deserving no strat at all. Their service is appealing. I went for my appointment where they made me wait for over an hour because my doctor was with another patient. After an hour they told me they have made mistakes and my doctor isn't in at all due to illness and my appointment has been cancelled. I was in shock . 2 weeks prior that I was told they will be sending me email with treatment guidance which I haven't received even now which is 5 weeks later. When you try to call them,they don't pick up,no one responds to email either. They are rude and useless
Guys and Thomas dental hospital not even deserve a one star went there to have treatment done the dental professor who also saw me said I had to have my 2 tooth pulled out before he could carry on with any treatment which he was with the students I was also seen by. I told him my teeth are fine I have no problem with 2 teeth the professor did not even take any x ray off my teeth which was he job . So I just left and put a complant in to Nhs dental Complants department. What kind off dental professor is he not even teaching he students the correct procedure 🙄

The dental staff there, once you're there are great, however for the 2nd time out of last 3 appointments for my son, I've had to chase up. After my last visit in May they were going to send an appointment for early July. This appointment hasn't been sent, so I have to once again chase it up. Sending an email is a waste of time because nobody replies. 2 weeks later and nothing. Phoning is also a nightmare. I've been on the phone for the last 2 hours. Looks like I'll have no choice but to go to the hospital in person. Not ideal with the Covid situation but due to such poor admin, I'm left with no choice. A little advice to anybody looking for a follow up appointment. Don't leave until you have your appointment confirmed.
Absolutely the worst experience! Nurses and stuff useless and no human behaviour they treat a patient with not sympathy at all or respect, I am talking a patient with cancer after a mayor operation, they could not even offer help for him to showering, the answer from the nurse was, do yourself!This unacceptable, heartless people! These people are not human, I’m not talking about the doctors the doctors are great, the hospital Managment is utter disgrace. My mother was unwell with Leukemia and all we needed were test results and PET scan results that were paid for and it’s been 10 days and no one is helping, all we need are the results ,my mother’s condition got worse and we are in desperate need for the reports. I almost died in this terrible hospital! They gave me Sotovimab and my face swelled up like a balloon then they discharged me saying I was " MUCH IMPROVED AND MEDICALLY FIT" THEY are liars. I was barely able to stand! I WAS so breathless and I wish I had never GONE there.....they withheld oxygen from.ME...discharged ME with no antibiotics...this hospital is supposedly one of the best in the UK.....this is appalling treatment! i would never recommend guy’s dental hospital to anyone. they have a complete lack of empathy and only thing they’re good at is lying and bullying. issues at guy’s caused me to get severely mentally ill. my surgeon even answer her phone and was off for an hour in the middle of my appointment causing me to miss my train home. no apology. no remorse. been there 3 years and have had no treatment. it’s been the worse time of my life. i had discharge myself because of the memtal health damage. never again will i go to guy’s. their dental department lets down the rest of the hospital.

does anyone know how to answer the phone at guys ENT department? apparently not. been on the phone for the last 3 hours ffs. dont reply to emails either, even though on nhs website it says “will reply within 3 days”. unbelieveable.
I can't believe how easy it was to cancel and rebook my appointment with Guys and Thomas NHS Hospital with a lovely receptionist whose name I don't know. To make matters even better my telephone call was answered on the 5th ring where as before it took me over 4 days to cancel an other appointment due to staff shortages and poorly manned switchboard. Considering DNAs cost the NHS millions in wasted time they should look at ways to make cancelling appointments and rebooking quick and easy as it was for me. This include having a dedicated team of call handlers to deal with cancellations and rebooking because a number of times before when I had to cancel and rebook. I had waited for over an hour before I got through to speak to someone and cancelled Yes I am aware appointments can be cancelled and rebooked on line and I tried doing and couldn't because it was very complicated to do and you need an IT degree to do due to complications of their online system. It would also been helpful to customers and the NHS to have a dedicated telephone number to call to cancel and rebook in appointment letters which they don't have nowhere.
