gunsshoppers.com: Firearms

The business of gunsshoppers.com belongs to a trendy Firearms niche. We tried scrapping a short paragraph from their website to see if it was 'friendly' enough (see below):

We are Promoters of Bitcoin and  Our mission is to provide you with a wide variety of the highest quality firearms and accessories at the lowest prices. So Bitcoins gives us these opportunities to satisfy our clients by giving us discounts which are customers benefit from.

The segment above might reveal or not gunsshoppers.com's object of activity, but that could expand beyond it. Let's look at the rating rationale.

gunsshoppers.com Review

The Scam Detector's VLDTR® finds gunsshoppers.com having a low authoritative rank of 21.00. This means that the business is characterized as Suspicious. Unsafe. Doubtful.

There are a few valid reasons for this 21.00 mark. Most importantly, the domain name is very new. It was registered recently. This makes it very challenging for a brand new site to launch the business, promote the products, get people to buy them, getting clients to try them, and then have time to get the reviews - all in a short time.

However, still giving the benefit of the doubt, our algorithm came up with the 21.00 rating adding in the mix 52 other relevant factors to its Firearms niche. They range from Tranco rank, the quality of the customer service, IP address, the technology used, social media negative feedback, and SSL certificate.

If you don't know what these terms listed above are, do not worry. We do the hard work in searching deep into the web, so you don't have to. One of the best things about using our VLDTR® tool is that the ranking can't be rigged since it is not based exclusively on reviews that people write online.

Our Approach to gunsshoppers.com's Evaluation

In the Company Details section above, you encountered a few tabs, each warranting thorough scrutiny. Here they are again, this time in detail.

While some aspects may be self-evident regarding gunsshoppers.com, let's now shift our focus to the other elements.

Proximity to Potentially Harmful Online Entities

This metric quantifies the degree of association, rated on a scale from 1 to 100, between gunsshoppers.com and websites identified as suspicious. Higher scores suggest a more significant connection to these contentious online entities.

However, many website owners may not always be aware of their site's proximity to these questionable servers or platforms. However, if the "Proximity to Suspicious Websites" score exceeds 80, it strongly indicates a high-risk website, while a score below 30 could be harmless.

Risk Evaluation: Threat, Deceptive Practices, Malware, and Spam Scores

These parameters provide insights into potential vulnerabilities and components integrated into the HTML code of gunsshoppers.com. Their significance escalates when the website has received reports from online users who've encountered unsolicited emails, deceptive advertisements, or unwanted messages associated with the site. As for gunsshoppers.com, we're currently categorizing it, but we welcome your input in the comments section below.

A high Malware score typically signifies the presence of suspicious code that might unknowingly propagate. On the other hand, a high Spam score suggests a potential association with a spam-ridden email address linked to the business. Scores below 30 in both categories offer a measure of security, but any score surpassing this threshold should raise concerns.

The numbers here for gunsshoppers.com are pretty high, though.

Status of Domain Blacklisting

This term reveals whether gunsshoppers.com has been blacklisted on any online directories and labeled as suspicious.

You have all the details, it's in your hands they way you want to deal with this website.

Evaluating the Security of the HTTPS Connection

This tab provides insight into whether gunsshoppers.com incorporates an 's' at the end of the 'HTTP' protocol visible in your browser's address bar. While some individuals may lack an in-depth technical understanding, we won't delve into those intricacies here. If the tab appears in green, consider it a positive indicator.

Additional Info To Consider

However, we're looking to get all the validations done as close to perfection as possible. This way, you can protect yourself from financial fraud. Feel free to share your thoughts below.

Are You The Owner Of This Domain Name?

If you are the owner of gunsshoppers.com, we would love to hear from you. Please send us a message to info at scam-detector dot com. If you would like to challenge this review and your site's rating here, we are more than willing to take a deeper look. However, be prepared to offer us solid proof of your business. That means, please introduce yourself first and be transparent. Consumers are smart. They don't trust websites that don't show transparency, such as the location of the business, team, or any other physical existence.

Typically, when domain owners contact us to challenge the review, we would kindly ask them to share the following details, for better consideration in changing the rating:
* Details from their ecosystem that would show that you are 100% trustworthy (certificate of incorporation, business registration, official records showing the name of the website or business, not other).
* Their personal profile on LinkedIn and social media accounts for the business on Facebook.
* If it's the case, some screenshots/proof of satisfied clients (not testimonials on their website), proof of inventory, canceling orders when requested;

So, we would be more than willing to update the review right away - the more proof you'll show, the higher the rank will be. Thank you.

  1. Something about this site seems rather strange. When searching for a particular firearm “for sale”, it pops up with a believable price, not in the realm of “too good to be true”, but lower than other online competitors. Strange, rather than requesting the FFL documentation, which is commonplace, they only require license holder’s name and address.

Purchase the item and it stays in “processing mode” for weeks. When utilizing the “chat feature”, asking for progress on the order, they post your name and address, but no progress. When pressed, whatever thing on the other end, becomes very upset.

Check to see if cc has processed and it never does.

Then, to recommend Paypal which will not allow its services to be used for firearms … that’s the telling point.

Fraudulent but not too smart for fraudsters.

  2. I ordered a firearm from them last night but after reviewing their website I grew concerned and canceled the order. They have the name Brad’s Gunshop as well as Brady’s Gunshop. The website is full of grammatical errors. The PayPal friends and family thing is really a red-flag though. The email is not even to a Brady or a Brad. Buyer Beware!

Someone named Anna, sent a nice email message though and helped me with my cancelation.

    1. i found the site in a search and was cautious about ordering after red flags popped up, 1st one was the super low price 2nd one was 2nd day air shipping at no extra cost. in a chat rep stated price was right and in stock, fpllowed by a message urging me to hurry and place order paypal family and friends payment is not eligible for a refund per the agreement. luckily I just saw a scam report on local news where scammer used this feature to rip- some people off. remember the old adage “if it sounds to good to be true- it probably is!!” beware

  3. Almost lost my money , did the credit card thing , they respond with the Zelle or PayPal Friends and Family , like a dummy I continue. They responded with “success, we passed this on to our logistics dept and will follow on with tracking info
i researched a bit and started to get nauseous. I looked at Zelle acct and they had not yet registered the email provided.
I quickly canceled but lost $35.
I suspect that what they do is get the transaction completed THEN register , get your money then get out to try and avoid traceability. I’ve reported their emails to Google , (they use gmail accts.), and the FBI scam division as firearms are involved. I will continue to report them everywhere I can
    BEWARE FRIENDS !

Same thing happened to me!! I knew it seemed sketchy, but they kept chatting with me on their website and said they were working on their website ‘update’ over Memorial Weekend.

      Totally a scam!!!!!

  4. Tried to purchase a firearm that was hard to find. They had a great price and showed in stock.
I used a credit card. Got an email just after placing order advising me that the company owner had just quit taking credit cards and wanted me to go thru Paypal using the friends and family cash transfer.
I declined and immediately called my credit card company advising them of the issue. So far there have been no attempts made to charge my card. Beware of this company.

    1. Same thing here. I ordered with the use of a credit card and received an email a couple of days later stating that management just ended credit card payments and to use PayPal (Friends and Family), Zelle, or a bank transfer. (All of these have no protection for the buyer.) My credit card has not been charged. Be afraid of these guys, be very afraid.

Not legit! Not one bit! SCAM! In fact when attempting to communicate with whoever runs this scummy site, we found out it was in fact a scam, I have proof I.e., snapshots of text communications between myself and this “Lilly.” We trolled them trying to get our $100.00 back and little would we know, we trolled them so good that they wanted to employ us! Haha, yea how about never! This “business scam” is full of scum of the earth! Just saying!

    1. William C Carr

Another naive person looking for a good deal in challenging times. My first experience with internet fraud this elaborate. I think they have automated response to their email and text assistant if you question them. The physical address on the website does not exist. I called a local retailer to see if they new them or could see their “Store Front”, the person answering the phone said I was the third person this week asking questions. Their 1 800 # does not exist (1 800 1234567). Their phone numbers go straight to voicemail, and return calls are non-existent. I didn’t know how scrupulous and dangerous shopping online could be. Expensive lesson for me.
