Is gsmliberty.net Legit?

This company is a scam!! As an IT security expert I should have known better. I paid for an unlock code for my Iphone and two days laters I contacted them and they told me there was a delay in the unlock server and that my unlock code would be sent to me that day or the following day. Four days go by and I still haven't received my unlock code and I contact support again. Once again they told me that there was a delay in the unlock servers and that I would be sent my unlock code today or tomorrow. Oh well, I will know better next time. I will also be contacting the proper agencies to let them know about this. I really hope my 14 dollars was worth it.

I honestly purchased this unlock for my Samsung Galaxy s6 locked to bell mobility and I thought I would be scamed because most of the other unlocking sites I saw the reviews were a bit scary . For the price they charge it's too scary ! But I'm glad to say that GSMluberty is the honest truth well in my case that is ! It took two weeks to unlock two iphones, and i was charged for three.

I was quoted 3 days max. To unlock my phone, or my money back. After 4 days I tried to call them and the number was out of service. I emailed them and never got a response. On their "chat" on their website, I was clearly talking to a computer. They just kept saying they will email me when the phone is unlocked, and to send any concerns to support to support@ gsmliberty.net After 6 days of no response from them, they emailed me telling me its unlocked. I spend the next 8 hours trying to get the unlock to work, they said plugging it into iTunes and updating my software is all it took. Needless to say I went to a professional and my phone was indeed still locked. I had to pay someone in town double the price to unlock. Dont use this website, they dont even have working phones!!!!

There were some minor technical issues in the process (some on my end and some on theirs), but the code worked like a charm and their customer service did everything they could to ensure that I was satisfied. I would recommend email or chat support over phone support if you have any issues.

Live chat guy cut off the chat when I challenged him too much about honouring their guarantee. They did not deliver in the time stated which goes against the guarantee, but would not admit it. I tried calling the support numbers but they don't work. My bad for not checking more thoroughly before using them. BE SMART! DON'T USE GSMLIBERTY!

I was a little nervous because a lot of the reviews cry foul but since GSMliberty is so well priced and I figured I could get the CC transaction reversed if they didn't deliver I went ahead with the purchase. Put simply I'm glad I did. Not only was the whole purchase process smooth, they emailed me the unlock code for my Samsung Galaxy Note II (SGH-I317M) in 3 1/2 hours, which is much faster than they initially said. The real test came when I went to use the code, of course, and I'm happy to say the unlocking was flawless. The ONLY suggestion I have to make it a better experience is that GMSliberty should recommend software for people to backup their existing phone contents and then restore it to the newly unlocked phone. I ended up finding and using Wondershare MobileTrans, which I recommend because it too was flawless... My wife is now up & running on her new phone with all the important data that was on the old LG.

Delays and "server" issues blamed for terrible service and slow slow service. They say 24 hour support & ordering - but they only work Monday-Friday 9-5. Nothing can be done outside these hours...and it appears nothing gets done inside these hours too. I ordered days ago, and my code hasn't arrived. I'm trying to cancel, or get refund but who knows. Not impressed.

Tried using some other unlock site before for few of my phones (S, S2...). But they cannot unlock my new Bell S4. I try gsmliberty, a bit $$$ (gsmliberty charge $31, when others is about $10-20 for unlock code only), i placed order at 5pm and received full list of code (network,provider, subprovider, defreeze) at 8am next morning. Will use them unlock my other 3 set of S4 too.

The experience I had with GSM liberty was superb and I highly recommend it to anyone interested in unlocking their phones. It was a quick process. The delivery of the code was within 7 minutes. Notification emails were sent in every process that helps alleviate uncertainty. What I'd like to suggest, though, is to make it clear before sign-up that the code will be sent to PayPal address. It's great that the company didn't have to ask for it.

I don't understand the bad comments... I was afraid, first, because of some few bad comments, but GSMliberty are cheaper, so I tried anyways... And I was very surprised when I received the code after 24h and then, I had very fast e-mail Support from their nice crew. By my experience I see no problem. Purchased the unlock code through PayPal, received it one day later by email (they had initially quoted 7-8 hrs but no big deal), entered the code in the phone and 2s later I was using a Bell Canada SIM card on an unlocked phone. Everything went flawlessly and I highly recommend GSMliberty.

I ordered a code for my Bell S3 which i had just had Koodo port my number from. Stupidly i used my Gmail address in the purchase process and because i use 2-factor authentication with text as the 2nd factor i couldn't get the text with my pin so i could retrieve the code. So i purchased a 2nd code using my Yahoo email and got the code successfully. I then contacted support to request a refund for my first purchase and my request was responded to and approved the same day. Was a perfect business transaction.

After 2 failed unlock codes from AT&T and another from a "free" unlock site, I gave in, signed up with GSMLiberty and sent my info and paid my fee. I got my code a couple of hours later but when I input the code following their step by step instructions but it failed. Seems my previous attempts altered some settings. Support sent me additional instructions which straightened out those settings and allowed the unlock code to work. I started out a little dismayed but after their great customer support, which also included a voice contact at one point, they provided what they said they would...and with Great Customer Support.

I had no issues at all with the service. Everything proceeded as advertised - billing, timeline, unlock process, etc. I suspect the high price for unlocking iPhones rests at Apple's feet since the higher prices are uniformly high across providers. Thanks, GSMLiberty!

I needed to unlock my Samsung S3 My carrier wanted £22 and 20 working days to unlock my phone. I decided to use GSMLiberty and once I purchased the unlock code they emailed me all the relevant information. Within 40 minutes my phone was unlocked. The site is very easy to use and explains everything in good detail with no hidden charges. I hope this review helps anyone who is unsure if they should use this company but trust me its brilliant.

The poorest company I have ever dealt with. They list phones they can't actually unlock, take your money, then refuse to respond to any emails asking for help or refunds. I'm sure they can get the job done sometimes, as long as "getting the job done" does not require any interaction. I wish I'd read the many shocking reviews these charlatans have, but I didn't check and appear to have paid the price. The really sickening thing is that most of these positive reviews on here are clearly written by employees of GSMliberty and should be removed

Always worried about phone unlock companies and their unlocking claims but Gsmliberty did exactly what they claimed and provided a working unlock code in a reasonable time where others had failed. Give them a try it worked for me.

This is my eighth unlock and I've never looked anywhere else! You get exactly what you paid for and that have always responded to my emails and questions sometimes in a matter of minutes. Do you guys even sleep? Easily the simplest unlocking method I've ever used, then again, I've never had reason to try anywhere else!

Surprisingly easy to use. I had no trouble and the email with the unlock codes came within 5 minutes. I was unlocked in less than 15 minutes. (I was cautious to read all instructions because I had made the mistake of typing random numbers in the unlock codes and I only had 5 or 6 tries left.) GSMLiberty worked on the first try. They send 3 different possibilities based on carrier etc but instructed on the web which one to use. I have Storm 9550 originally locked to Verizon. Cost was just $7.95 USD.

“They stole my money”

They stole my money. I requested a code, paid with PayPal and selected a carrier based on the current company I am with now, after few minutes I retracted and sent them an email indicating what my current company was and which that company from which I got my phone was. I thought that was enough to change my order. 2 days after, I received the code, and none of my indications was adopted. In other words, they just ignored everything I told about changing my carrier before sending me the code. Of course I use the code and find out that this doesn't work. I contact customer service and they tell me that this is my fault for not choosing the right carrier, even though I alerted them about that change (several times) few minutes after clicking the PayPal button. That's stealing money online, I am really upset with this company, the code didn't work and the only thing they say is that it is my fault.

We actually don't have the code... that's the answer I got the next day. I needed a back up cell and had found a good deal. Being locked to a different carrier I asked the guy to send me the IMEI. Entering all the phone and carrier info on GSM Liberty, their webpage confirmed the phone model and set the price and code delivery time. The next day what I got was not the code but a message, stating that they couldn't find the code... Of course they never offered any explanation. You can also call their help line, in case you wanna speak to Apu... Wasted time and stuck with a phone I cannot use.

When I requested a unlock code for a phone model that was not listed in their drop down menu the customer service representative updated my profile and inserted the phone model in my file and within a few hours a working unlock code was provided! Great customer service and they diden't stop until I was unlocked. I had an AT&T Galaxy S3 that I bought used and wanted to use on another carrier. Had previous owner contact AT&T for the unlock code and was given same code each time but neither one worked. So I tried one of the "Free Unlock Code" sites without any luck either. At this point I gave in and went with the first unlock code company mentioned in one of the Android forums. I signe dup with GSMLiberty, submitted my phones info, paid my fee and several hours later my unlock code came in an email. Sadly it did not work so I let their customer support know. Seems in the process of attempting the unlock with AT&T and the crappy free sites code, I altered some settings. I had an iPhone locked to AT&T USA. Gsmliberty.net offered an unlock for my iPhone for 75 Euros. It was cheaper than others, where I would only find an unlock solution for 150-200 dollars. I read other reviews that said they are trustful, but they never said anything about an iPhone 4 and especially one locked in AT&T. But, since I was able to talk to somebody I said that if they won't do anything I will be able to get my money back if they can't help me. So I payed and waited. The only thing that I complain is the fact that they promised an unlock solution between 1-3 days. It took like 9 days, counting the weekend too. I did write them once and asked what is taking so long and the responded that they apologized and that they know but hope to find the solution by the end of the day. Well it took another 3 days, but in the end it was worth it. I didn't mind the wait, I was just scared of a scam. But in the end they kept their promise and now I have a permanent unlocked iPhone. So thank you GSM Liberty!
