Is gotogate.co.nz Legit?

Customer service is top I made a mistake booking the date this evening , got my ticket basic were no option for cancellation or rebooking but customer service made an action right away to do a refund . Cost 40€ but that’s fine for a quick response and help . Thank you gotogate

On September 23, 2024, I received a notification from GoToGate stating that my order (No. 1003-267-521) had been canceled due to a flight cancellation, and the company had submitted a refund request to the airline. The email mentioned that the refund process typically takes 10-15 business days, but it has now been over a month, and I have not received my money.I have checked the refund status through the My Bookings section on their website, but the information remains insufficient. Finding a contact address for direct communication has proven difficult. I hope this situation will be resolved soon and that GoToGate improves its customer service in such cases.I request that the company contact me and provide an update regarding my refund.

Process was simple and quick. However, it would have been appreciated that Gotogate could have sent me the itinerary like other sites. Then having to log into Gotogate to download the itinerary and then finding that you could be waiting 8 days for the e-ticket to be available. Luckily it only took 3 hours, but having to keep logging in to check is annoying.

It was a simple booking service and all the correct information was provided. There was no need to make contact. I was even contacted when flight times had slightly changed in advance of the trip.

I experienced an easy and reliable booking process. The only issue is the frequently changing list prices of airline companies, then you need to restart filling the form but I guess booking agents do not have much to fix this.

Goto gate website, the bookings is straigjt foward. The price of the ticket is quite reasonable.The most exiting aspect is the laugage: 23×2 plus 8kg hand bag

Overall the flight ticket booking experience was okay. But just before paying the amount, there was an increase in the amount to be paid compared to the initial amount shown. The website explains it as a minor increase due to heavy demand of the ticket, which is not acceptable to be shown before doing the payment.

I have only just booked, so I cannot review on my travel experience. But the booking process has been perfect, instant responses and informative. As a customer I naturally worry once money is taken from my account online. But the immediate responses and documents sent gave me confidence in the service.

GoToGate is an absolute disaster of a company. Their customer service is pathetic—nobody listens, nobody does a damn thing, and every call is just an endless runaround. Don’t bother trying to change a flight; you won’t get anywhere. If the airline cancels, you’re completely on your own. They don’t even have a proper company email, and all you get is empty excuses and zero help.GoToGate singlehandedly ruined my trip. The agents were indifferent, offering no real assistance or solutions.This company is a complete scam, with no regard for its customers. Save yourself the headache and avoid them at all costs. They’ll waste your time, your money, and your sanity. Don’t make the mistake of trusting them—you’ll regret it.

It's my first time using them, to find cheap long haul flight from UK to Japan. It helped to find a shortest transit one, instead of 7 hours wait between connections. Not cheapest I expected but when you have to spend about 16 hours on non direct flight it helps. Direct flight will cost twice much, I rather use it for something else. But, annoying is that this service push so many extra options like insurance which I have best multi trip cover with no excess and extra medical or choose seat at extra is just unnecessary and time consuming and boring! You don't know what companies you're dealing with in case you need claims only reputable insurars deserve your trust, money and time.

Complicated to see the bookings with all importante info through the website. Complicating getting access to the tickets. I got a flight with one stop and end up being two stops ( one of them with visa requirements) that I got to know when I double checked my booking with the airline. The night before traveling I got an email from go to gate saying my flight was canceled. The email was written in another language and we though it was weird. So I call go to gate and they said they didn’t send any email and that the flight wasn’t cancel at all. Next day when we went to the airport we found out it was cancel and we need to reschedule the hole thing. So my experience with go to gate was chaotic and stressful!!

I booked a trip with Gotogate. They recommended SimpleVisa for Visa Application. I applied for a Visa 20 days before departure. During check-in I noticed my visa was still processing for Hanoi/Vietnam. I tried contacting the company but got an automatic reply that they don't work in the weekends. The booking agent was available and told me, after letting me wait untill departure time, there was nothing they could do and that I had to turn back home and would lose the money/my holiday. Luckily for me I found Go Vietnam Visa. They literally saved my holiday and arranged a visum in less then 15 minutes! After boarding time. SimpleVisa contacted me that I had to be patient 😅😂 I asked for a refund because they didn't do their jobs! They blamed the Vietnamese goverment and declined a refund!I advise tourist, do not applicate with Simple Visa and I also advise Gotogate do not promote Simple Visa's services!

Gotogate owns me money from a canceled flight (the airline canceled the flight).After 8 Months I am still waiting for my money.The customer support is useless and unwilling to help or escalate the case.They also refuse to connect me to a more competent person. My wife booked the same canceled Flight direct from the airline and got her money back after two weeks...

Everything was okay, till I had to pay for my suitcase at the airport, when I have pay in advance to avoid any extra charge. I booked everything across the website but they sent me an email once I was already travelling to my first stop, once I was there I thought everything was okay, but at the airport they asked me to pay for my suitcase 120£ I tried to explain what happened but they just told me “ If you want to fly you have to pay for the suitcase if not you will lose the trip”

They are using other companies names to collect your money. I paid for a ticket when I called to get the details of the ticket I was told I needed to pay $275 more before they can issue the ticket to me. I then requested my money back via PayPal then went to buy another ticket with ‘My trip’ only to find out that the money went to Gotogate. This company has to be stopped for their fraudulent activities.

There is no direct email link to ask a question or add baggage as I require extra baggage.The booking notification contains little to no information about where to board your plane or links to assist you with any queries.If you use the my bookings link you have to then type in all of the information about your booking yourself and it gets you nowhere anyway!So I try phoning about extra baggage and the useless person tells me it's not their responsibility I have to talk to the airline directly. I mean really what kind of service are these people offering?It's the first and last time I'll use Gotogate! My booking from Sydney to London Gatwick was cancelled, and I was offered an alternative flight with terrible timings and a 12 hour + layover, making my journey in total 40+ hours (originally 27 hours).I requested a refund (which was the other alternative). I am still yet to receive my refund and have been advised this will “take some time”. It has been a month now and no refund or timescales for a refund. Unacceptable to hold others money, stopping them from booking other flights, given the disruptiveness is based solely on the airline.Where is my money?

Website flipped leaving airport and destination aiport when flight time selected. Realized as soon as confirmation came through seconds later. Immediately, rebooked correct route and called Customer services to explain. Simply told incorrect flight was non-refundable and that they wanted another £62 off me to cancel. Completely unhelpful. Could not have possibly taken incorrect flight in any case as it was taking off from the island I was trying to get to due to airport being closed due to bad weather. Terrible customer service AVOID! Will never use again.

SCAM!!! I would highly recommend you to pay a little extra for your flight than booking trough this website. They postpone our flight to one day earlier and they compensate nothing. Also, now, we've to pay an expensive visa because we are 1 day longer in the country. Thanks for all the extra costs.
