gosplitty.com Review

The Scam Detector website Validator gives gosplitty.com a medium trust score on the platform: 58.3. It signals that the business can best be defined by the following tags: Active. Medium-Risk.. We are confident about our score as we also partner with other high-tech, fraud-prevention companies that found the same issues. So, why this low score? We came up with the 58.3 score based on 53 aggregated factors relevant to gosplitty.com's industry. The algorithm detected high-risk activity related to phishing, spamming, and other factors noted in the Active. Medium-Risk. tags above. Long story short, we still see some red flags with this website. But let's explain in more detail.

Explaining Our Analytical Approach

We've displayed some important information within the Company Details section above, each deserving more explanation:

  • Proximity to Suspicious Websites
  • Threat Profile
  • Phishing Profile
  • Malware Score
  • Spam Score
  • Domain Blacklist Status
  • HTTPS connection
  • Domain Creation Date

While some are self-explanatory concerning gosplitty.com, let's dive deeper into the remaining ones.

Proximity to Potentially Harmful Websites

This metric gauges the connection, scored on a scale of 1 to 100, between gosplitty.com and websites marked as suspicious. Elevated scores point to a stronger link with these questionable online destinations. It's worth noting that website owners might not always be aware of their site's proximity to these dubious platforms or servers. However, a "Proximity to Suspicious Websites" score surpassing 80 strongly indicates a high-risk website, while a score below 30 signifies a less-threatening site.

Risk Factors: Threat, Phishing, Malware, and Spam

These indicators reveal the vulnerabilities and elements embedded within the HTML code of gosplitty.com. They become especially pertinent if the website has received reports from internet users who've encountered unsolicited emails, ads, or messages related to the site. In the context of gosplitty.com, our investigation continues working to pinpoint the specific category, but we welcome your insights in the comments below. A high Malware score generally implies the presence of suspicious code that might be unknowingly disseminated. Conversely, a high Spam score hints at a possibly spam-ridden email address associated with the business. Scores under 30 in both categories are reassuring, but any score surpassing this threshold should raise concerns. gosplitty.com is a problematic website, given all the risk factors and data numbers analyzed in this in-depth review. Share your experience in the comments.

Domain Blacklisting Status

This term indicates whether gosplitty.com has landed on any online directories' blacklists and earned a suspicious tag.

Assessing HTTPS Connectivity

This section provides insight into whether gosplitty.com boasts an 's' at the end of the 'HTTP' protocol listed in your browser's address bar. If the tab displays in green, consider it a positive sign.

Safe Check

We want our trust scores and reviews to be as accurate as possible so that you can protect yourself from online fraud. Our algorithm aggregates factors that efficiently analyze a company's website, in this case, gosplitty.com.

I had an extremely disappointing experience with GoSplitty. I was granted a refund from Hilton Hotel, which was transferred to GoSplitty’s bank account as I had booked through them. However, they have failed to issue the refund back to my card, despite multiple follow-ups.I’ve sent numerous emails, but they have completely ignored every one of them. Their lack of communication is frustrating and unprofessional. It feels like a big scam, and now I’m considering seeking legal aid to recover my money. Stay away from this company—they are not trustworthy!
I advise everyone who has dealt with this website,Contact your bank and inform them of any fraudulent or evasive actions taken by them, and provide evidence against them. The bank will return the money immediately.I do not advise anyone to get involved and book through them. They are evasive and skilled at procrastination, fraud and deception. They use cheap methods of lying, luring customers with cheap prices to trap them.
If I could give 0 , I would. I don’t think they have anyone managing their support email. Our travel plans changed. I emailed them and requested changes to our reservation. Needless to say I did not even receive a reply. I clicked on the “contact us” link as per their automated emails.
Please don’t go with these guys for any kind of reservation. Terrible customer support and follow-up, they will not assist you for any help once it get paid. I was terrified to handle these customer support folks. They even cut you off while talking. Please cautious to use these guys.
SCAM ALERT!!! I booked a hotel for October 10 till October 11 with go splitty and I could not go due to Hurricane Milton. I can’t leave my house, everything is bad here where I’m at in Florida, lots of tornados affected my area there is no power. I called them to cancel my booking and refund me since we are in an emergency right now and they said this: Following your request to cancel the reservation, we regret to inform you that the strict policy of your booking does not allow for cancellations or changes as it is non-refundable and non-amendable. Pretty much say f u we don’t care about the hurricane we care more about the money. I called Disney and they said they are willing to refund me since it was a natural disaster but they have to process it go splitty since they are the ones who took my money! They’re not doing it this is the worst customer service they are a scam!!! Don’t go and buy from them! And the bad customer service received was from SHAINA MAE TEJERO she’s the worst!
Terrible organization. Zero customer service. Booked a room with double beds which was stated on the confirmation they provided. Showed up at hotel and hotel states that Gosplitty booked a one bed room and that they are fully booked so we could not change rooms. Contacted them several times to try to address as hotel agreed to cancel our reservation, if approved by Gosplitty, since they could not accommodate our reservation for a room with double beds. Gosplitty never returned my call as promised by 3 different customer service reps. Got stuck with the one bed for entire 4 day trip. Also had to pay additional hotel and service fees daily above and beyond what Gosplitty charged. Shady business practices.
Took our money for hotel stay and didn’t confirm until the day after our requested stay . Had to go elsewhere after checking reservations at hotel advised no booking . Now in dispute to get our money back .
They quote you a hotel room, confirm your reservation, charge your credit card, and send you a "voucher" - even though they may not be able to deliver you the room.
I booked a hotel through GoSplitty, a hotel that I had stayed in last year and rebooked because we loved it. My 8 year old daughter and I arrived at midnight to begin our 10 day holiday to be told we were booked into the Annex across the road from the hotel. My daughter was hysterical, the Annex was run down, grubby and my young daughter felt unsafe. I paid £46 to stay in the main building that night to calm my daughter and get her settled after a long day travelling. I was told the next day I would need to pay £46 per night for the next 9 nights, on top of what I had already paid for the disgusting Annex, that I didn’t sign up for. I checked the site again and there was no mention of being boarded in the Annex either on the site as you book, and no mention of the Annex on the email confirmation. I was completely mis-sold. I had to spend the first day of our holiday looking for a different hotel as my daughter felt too uncomfortable and unsafe where we had been placed. This cost me £250. I emailed GoSplitty 2 weeks ago, and I’ve yet to receive a response. Disgusted and disappointed is an understatement and very much out of pocket. Do no book with this company.
I booked my stay in Bournemouth about 4 weeks previous, and luckily for me I never read the reviews before hand because there was so many bad reviews about gosplitty. and after I booked I then read the reviews, so thinking I may of been scammed I phoned the holiday inn immediately, they confirmed my booking and gave me a confirmation number. so I'd like to say a big thank you to gosplitty for saving me a bag full of money 💰
We booked a last minute one-night stay at a hotel near an airport because we had a very early morning flight. The hotel was poorly rated, and those reviews were not wholly undeserved (carpets very stained) but the room was fine, the staff was great. Served the purpose we needed it to. I called the hotel company after making the reservation to ensure that it existed, and was able to get their confirmation number.
No one ever followed up with me after me contacting them via email and phone for months. Then, hey denied my request for a refund through my credit card. They a terrible company that hires liars for employees. Instead of helping me during a time or a international tech outage, you protected your bottom line. They should be ashamed of yourselves.
They lied to me about being able to cancel up until a certain date and greatly misled me about the location of the hotel. When I looked to see where it was, I went to cancel and found out I was unable to. Their customer service is team is useless. Don't make the same mistake myself and so many others have and use a reputable website.
What a scam!! The website attracts customers by low prices but doesnt mention additional taxes and fees. But this is not all. My reservation was cancelled by gosplitty, however, “customer service” told me that it’s my fault due to late arrival. It is also sounds like they operate from some kind of basement or apartment.
I’ve never heard of this company before today. I was searching for hotel to book for summer vacation and I got a good deal offer from gosplitty almost $50 cheaper than booking thru hotel site. I don’t know about you but I’m always trying to snag deals to make vacation cheaper! Thank you
Horrible service do not trust. I booked then turned up at hotel in Dubai - gosplitty completely changed my booking at staybridge suites Dubai, completely ruined my booking vacation, had to call American Express for help. Do not trust this company. Sent 5 emails no response from them in 4 days, customer service is email based and they don’t reply. Don’t book ! Use a well known brand.
This is for those seeking economic solutions to your travel dollars.DO NOT USE GOSPITTY. Here is why, did you know most hotel chains will meet most discount prices. Screen shot and save.Second, in our experience GOSPLITTY IS A CRIMINAL ORGANIZATION. They are known to double book. Your stay when discovery is made they refuse to refund the account, they also will overcharge your rooms,Do not USE GOSPLITTY.We lost substantially and only wish for you to not experience our losses.
I’ve used GoSplitty twice until now, ones was in Cancun Mexico and second here in Canada, Edmonton….. really I got almost half price with them. I was worried that my reservation wouldn't be confirmed the first time, but everything was perfect in Cancun... let us see next time in Edmonton.
Go Splitty is great! I made the mistake of booking the wrong date and Garry from GoSplitty support was gracious enough to refund the full amount even with their non-refundable cancellation policy. Will use GoSplitty again and highly recommend to others!
Just used them with no issues, they are 3rd party for main sites. My reservation went through, Expedia so unsure about the other reviews.

“What a scam Gosplitty is”

I stayed one night out of three and because I had ants in my room and a room that smelled like dog urine I left the very first night. After two weeks of emails and being left on red Gosplitty comes back with the Hotel will not give the refund, but when I talk to the hotel they tell Gosplitty the third party company refuses to give the refund. Never used Gosplitty, they are a scam company. The Hotel was a Holiday Inn

“Don't trust their words”

Do not trust their words. I called to book a hotel room for 2 adults and 3 children. The lady named Cassey, took my call and told me she booked the reservation as 2 adults and 2 kids until I confirm payment. Once payment was taken and confirmation number was assigned, she can call the hotel directly to add my third child. Saying they do this all the time. I get an email later, from go splitty telling me the hotel rejected the modification to the reservation as the max number of people to the room was 4. When I tried to call the company back to try to resolve my issue, they completely Ignored me. When I asked for a refund. They told me I have to go through the escalation dept. After trying 7hrs to get through to them, they told me they need to escalade it to a higher escalation dept to issue me the refund. When I questioned if the call centre was in the Philippines as they all sounded the same, they hung up on.

“No reimbursement policy - poor service”

I will never use their service again. They billed me with 3 rooms instead of 2. Prices in wrong currency. No reimbursement policy. Pressure while doing the reservation.

“Booking "confirmed" illegitimate”

Upon arrival to the hotel, they had no record of my booking. GoSplitty customer service was not helpful! No refund. The front desk employee was so helpful. They had booked me for the wrong dates entirely. It was quite the headache with no resolution for GoSplitty.

“THIEVES AND PREDATORS”

This company bullied and stole my money, I didn't authorize them to charge my credit card and they still went ahead and charged me. They never disclose their reservations are non refundable, and their only objective is to make a sale. DON'T BOOK WITH GO SPLITTY YOU HAVE BETTER CHANCE WITH AIR B&B.

“This Company is a total scam!”

I booked a hotel yesterday for a stay last night with one of their sales associates and they booked the wrong date because when I showed up at the hotel, they didn't have a room for me and told me my reservation was booked for August 11th (almost 3 months in the future). GoSplitty made the mistake, and now they won't issue a refund? Further, the sales agent never told me the reservation was non-refundable. You can't even get a customer service agent on the phone despite repeated requests. You have to communicate through email with them, and the responses appear canned. Stay far, far, FAR AWAY from doing business with this company. Wished I could leave them ZERO stars. I am going to report them to the BBB and the State Attorney General's office.

“SCAM AVOID”

They charge your card immediately and send a receipt that says "this is NOT a confirmation." When I called the hotel to confirm I DID NOT have a reservation for the night booked, but had one the next day. The phone number on the website has a message that says "the person you are trying to reach is not available. CLICK!" The phone number on my credit card bill is OUT OF SERVICE. NO ONE HAS RESPONDED TO MY EMAILS. I called my credit card company immediatley and cancelled the card.

“They just stole $300 from my account”

They've taken an extra $300 out of my account. Sent them an email days ago, not so much as a confirmation of receipt back. Phone number is down. So I guess they've just stolen money out of my account?

“Avoid this website at all cost, 100% scam”

I swear to God avoid this website at all cost. Its cheaper but It will give you so much pain. I read the reviews and still booked through them and I can't tell you enough not to get anything from them. I regret. I booked a room for 4 nights on March 30 2024. To this day (May 15th 2024) I am calling and emailing them every 2 days but they are not able to confirm my reservation. The hotel I booked from say my booking is not showing on their system and many other reviews will tell you this. I will travel more than 5000km to reach my destination in a few days and this website is not able to inform me if my booking is confirmed or not. I have been waiting for the past two weeks its a sham

“Do NOT use them.”

A friend recommended them to me. Said" book this for 40$ a night" before the weekend. I should've smelled a rat. 277$ for 5 days? I thought it might be a two or three star hotel. We went to check in and it was hands down 5 star hotel. This price was really too good to be true. It was near Radio City Music Hall and Rockefeller Center. Ritzy area. First the manager couldn't find the reservation. He was on the phone for close to an hour… when someone answered and he told them the situation… they hung up. This was when I knew I was in trouble. My bank notified me and my account is now restricted. Thankfully I didn't lose a lot… 277 won't bankrupt us. Could've been worse in our situation. These $#*!s need to be locked up and definitely ran out of business. I wish I checked Google first. Please DO NOT USE THEM. Big scammers. There are plenty other trustworthy sites like Booking.com, Hotels.com, Travelocity etc.

“Issues at check in”

Do not use this go splittyservice. They will tell you one thing to get you to complete the registration with your credit card information then not follow up. I was told on a follow up call FROM THEM, after initially declining their offer for booking that parking fees were being waved if I completed the confirmation process. Once the billing charges were approved, they would send me emails stating the parking was free. Upon arrival, I learned they lied to me and I was responsible for the parking. Trying to call the customer service was a joke. Could not reach a real person and only listened to pre recorded messaging that an agent will be with you soon and to stay on the line but then the system would hang up on you. I tried for 2 hrs before finally talking to an agent and she said she would investigate and contact me. NOTHING! This is a scam outfit and I will be reporting them to the Better Business Bureau. The hotel said they are affiliated with Priceline and the agents will tell you anything to get their commission. Tip for consumers:Gosplitty is a scam

“I'd give them zero stars if I could”

I'd give them zero stars if I could. They emailed me a receipt and said that it wouldn't act as a confirmation but the confirmation would be emailed shortly. I never received it. If I had, I would have noticed where we were confirmed for the wrong hotel room; a handicap king room instead of a standard two queen room for an 8-night stay. The hotel wouldn't fix it because they were totally booked and they couldn't do much since we booked through a third party. Emailed their customer service and never got a response. Tried calling several times and no one answers or calls back. Absolutely ridiculous! BEWARE!

“SCAMMERS!”

I booked a hotel suite through them, paid them in full and they never paid the hotel. I had to pay the hotel directly for the full amount and have been trying for the past 4 months to get them to give the money they stole back to me. The hotel and I have provided them with the proof they said they needed to refund the money, but yet they just keep dismissing me and said they are working on the issue. Like others have mentioned, it is extremely difficult to get in touch with anyone over the phone. I truly believe that this is a sham company and I have reached out to request legal assistance to get my money back. I do not recommend ever booking through them! Tip for consumers:I have frequently used travel sites such as Priceline, Expedia, etc. I have never had an experience like this. I truly think GoSplitty is intentionally trying to scam people.

“Beaware of SCAM that GoSplitty runs!”

Never ever book with this company; they're looting people's money. I stayed five nights at their hotel and they charged me for nine nights. They don't pick up your phone and don't reply to your e-mails. This compnay is a big SCAM!

“Awful, beyond awful!”

Husband had a heart attack and I was given the news that he had one percent chance of living, cancelled the hotel weeks before arrival. Put in for a credit with my Visa, this Gosplitty sad excuse for a company rebilled me again. Don't ever book anything with them. It has taken me hours to try and get this charge removed - all this trying to deal with a life/death situation. Horrible just horrible people. BEWARE!

“Do not waste your time or money”

Do not waste your time or money! This is a huge scam! I paid for a hotel prior to checking in. Upon checking in, I was told that payment was not received and that I would need to pay for the room. They had my name but not payment. I have called this fraudulent website almost daily since then (3 weeks) and keep being told they are working on my case and they will get back to me in 24 hours after contacting the hotel. They do not update me within 24 hours and the hotel has not heard from them once! Do not use this, save yourself time and use a reputable 3rd party because this one is not it!

“TOTAL SCAM - DO NOT TRUST”

Bought hotel rooms, only to be told that there "was an error" with the booking, which seems to be the same line they give to all customers. Still waiting for the funds to be refunded. Now flying to Berlin with no hotel rooms booked as can't afford to book them again, as had allocated set funds for this. VERY DISAPPOINTED! It's a scam all round. Every site that has reviews! DO NOT TRUST! Thanks for ruining our trip to Berlin!

“DON'T book with this nightmare company”

Reviewers This company agreed to reimburse us for a total disaster trip booked by them but never did…. We contacted the BBB with copies of all the documents showing this company had screwed our vacation and the email where they claimed to have reimbursed us and GoSplitty never replied to the BBB request for information. They never reimbursed either. They are twisted, irresponsible, liars who will ruin your vacation and leave you stranded. DON'T book with this company - if anything goes wrong with your reservations they will leave out to figure it out yourself and you better have some extra dollars to find a new hotel and get home.

“Beware, beware it's a total scam with this agency”

I booked with this agency 4 night in a hotel in north africa, but when i arrived at the hotel on july 12 i was surprised that the hotel was not notified of my reservation, i tried to contact the horrible agency, i spent most of the day in the street, and the moment i managed to contact the agency the lady told me that we are sorry we forgot to contact the reservation service of the hotel and acutually the hotel does not have any free room. Try to find another hotel and we'll reimburse you, so I took a cab and went around looking for a hotel, I found a hotel that cost me double what I paid for the agency, I contacted the agency to confirm the reimbursement, indeed the lady she told me pay and send us the invoice we'll reimburse you, and so far I have received nothing, and even they do not answer my calls and my email. Be careful not to fall into this agency's trap I lost $988 the agency won't refund me Samirk

“Stole my money”

These pieces of turd kept my money and never paid the hotel. They are a bunch of third world losers who might have stolen my money but they still live in a crappy country with their crappy lives!

“They will screw you over!”

RUINED MY DAUGHTERS COLLEGE GRADUATION. Booked the room they took the money BUT NEVER SENT TO HOTEL! THEY FLAT OUT DONT ANSWER THE PHONE EVER. They prey on people who can't afford a lot and they don't care. AVOID AT ALL COST. Tip for consumers:WARN EVERY SINGLE PERSON YOU KNOW! BOYCOTT MONEY GRUBBERS LIKE THIS

“They Don't Actually Book Your Hotel You Pay For”

This site is a scam, they charge you, don't let you cancel and don't actually book the hotel you paid them for. Terrible customer service too, the cheap prices are in fact too good to be true.

“ALL fees are not included as they elude to.”

They wrote ALL fees were included upon payment. This is not true. I was charged 150 dollars for resort fees upon checkout from the hotel on my card that I left for incidentals.

“SCAM”

Booked a hotel room through Gosplitty and the hotel went out of business prior to my check in date. Gosplitty refused to refund my money, saying I didn't fallow their cancelation policy.

“Seemed like a good price”

Seemed like a good price. I asked about any other fees and was told no. After my stay I was hit with more fees.

How To Remove Your Information From the Internet

Whether you like it or not, unfortunately, the Internet has all your personal information stored. How did that happen? Every time you visit a simple site and accept cookies, consent to their forms, or download an app, unscrupulous data brokers collect not just your phone number, name, AND address. They also sell this to third parties, which creates a $1 billion industry a year. Your collected personal data is used by buyers to send you never-ending spam emails, targeted ads, and, of course, telemarketing calls. Crooks use all your data without remorse.

We can help. Many people have asked us about how to remove your personal information from the Internet. If you want your data deleted entirely from the online world, contact our official partners at Incogni immediately. This legitimate data privacy tool works on your behalf to officially require a ton of online brokers to remove your data.

Our staff verifies that this service works and is trustworthy. For robust, essential protection, their Standard plan is a steal at just $8.29 for individuals, and you can extend that crucial peace of mind to your entire household with the Family plan (up to 5 users) for only $16.49. They also introduced the Unlimited plan starting from $14.99 that covers not only automatic data removals, but also unlimited custom removals available right away upon purchasing the Unlimited plan. It allows users to submit websites not yet covered by Incogni and get their data removed from there, too. They also offer a free exposure scanner that will give you an insight into what data of yours is exposed and where.

Are You the Owner of gosplitty.com?

If you own gosplitty.com, we’d love to hear from you. If you'd like to challenge the trust score we’ve assigned, we’re happy to take a closer look. However, please be prepared to provide solid proof of your business's legitimacy. Introduce yourself with your name (not just "Admin").

When domain owners contact us to dispute their trust score, we kindly ask for the following:

* Business documentation that verifies your legitimacy (e.g., certificate of incorporation, business registration, or official records with the site or business name).

* Your personal LinkedIn profile and the business's social media accounts (e.g., Facebook).

* If available, proof of satisfied customers (e.g., screenshots, not just testimonials on your website), evidence of inventory, or records of handling order cancellations properly.

We’re more than willing to update your review based on the evidence you provide—the more proof, the higher your trust score. Please note, however, that we cannot verify non-operational websites or those redirected to other URLs. Additionally, we do not verify websites involved in high-risk financial services, gambling, adult content, or illegal activities.

Please send the following via email to [email protected].
