The algorithm detected potential high-risk activity related to phishing, spamming, and other factors noted in the Doubtful. Medium-Risk. Alert. tags above. While some are self-explanatory concerning goodremotes.co.uk, let's dive deeper into the remaining ones.

Proximity to Potentially Harmful Websites

This metric gauges the connection, scored on a scale of 1 to 100, between goodremotes.co.uk and websites marked as suspicious. Elevated scores point to a stronger link with these questionable online destinations. It's worth noting that website owners might not always be aware of their site's proximity to these dubious platforms or servers. However, a "Proximity to Suspicious Websites" score surpassing 80 strongly indicates a high-risk website, while a score below 30 signifies a less-threatening site.

Risk Factors: Threat, Phishing, Malware, and Spam

These indicators reveal the vulnerabilities and elements embedded within the HTML code of goodremotes.co.uk. They become especially pertinent if the website has received reports from internet users who've encountered unsolicited emails, ads, or messages related to the site. In the context of goodremotes.co.uk, our investigation continues working to pinpoint the specific category, but we welcome your insights in the comments below. A high Malware score generally implies the presence of suspicious code that might be unknowingly disseminated. Conversely, a high Spam score hints at a possibly spam-ridden email address associated with the business. Scores under 30 in both categories are reassuring, but any score surpassing this threshold should raise concerns. goodremotes.co.uk is a suspect website, given all the risk factors and data numbers analyzed in this in-depth review. Oh dear, why didn’t I take the trouble to look for reviews of this company before purchasing what was meant to be a replacement Sony DVD player remote? It took ten days to arrive, during which I could track day by day the manufacture in China and the shipping process in impressive detail, but when it arrived (minus the advertised batteries) it took only a few seconds to establish that it didn’t work. Communication with the company led to a request for photos (which were supplied) and then silence. I’m just left perplexed: why go to all this trouble to take people’s money when it surely wouldn’t be that much more effort to provide them with what they think they’re buying???
Goodremotes is anything but. Tried to get money back through Paypal but discovered I would have to mail the piece of junk to China, at a cost £11. Item cost £14.98, so no point. Paypal also produced some interesting and complicated requirements to get cash back. Unimpressed with them, but more importantly, do not deal ever with Good(?)remotes, unless you like filling Chinese pockets.
Like others, I read previous reviews after placing my order and was a bit concerned. However had a despatch notification the next day and was able to track it all the way to when it was delivered today by EVR. The remote is for my Samsung TV and works fine. Delivery took just under 2 weeks.
This company are untrustworthy and sell poor quality remotes that do not match up to there discription. I purchased to remotes that claimed have back light control buttons for low light operation. This was nonsense as only two buttons have back lights, the rest nothing rendering the remotes useless. These remotes are also faulty and are not assembled correctly due to a design fault and will fall apart at any time. The are simply poor quality and not fit for purpose.I have requested twice for return labels and have had no response to this request. So I recommend that you do not trade or trust this company. They have a rating of 2 out of 5 for good reasons they are untrustworthy.I will be contacting PayPal with this issue to reclaim back the money for these poor quality mis sold remotes.O/N 23998.
Avoid at all costs. Sent a remote that doesn’t work with our tv despite the website description saying it would. When asking for a refund, the company suggested sending more money to a PayPal account so they could send another. No further response to emails requesting a refund. Scam company. Do not buy from here.
Remote control arrived and doesn’t work. Have contacted retailer (who say on their website they will reply within one working day) 2 weeks ago and they’ve not responded. Wished I’d checked Trustpilot first and realised this is a company based in China selling either fake or substandard remote controls. I’m hoping to get my money back via the bank on a chargeback dispute!!!
Waited a fortnight without so much as a dispatch notification. I emailed chasing it up and was informed it had probably got lost in the post and another would be sent out. Okay, I suppose. Remote control did turn up another week later but was a cheap Chinese knock off - not the genuine article as advertised - and in Amazon packaging. I suspect a drop shipper. Avoid.
Still trying to get a refund for a device they sent that does not work. They only responded once MasterCard contacted them and threatened to reverse the transaction. They still refuse to provide a UK address for returns and just waste time by asking for pictures of the faulty remote. If you are lucky enough to get a device that works, well done! If the cheap, Chinese imitation rubbish that they ship out fails, getting them to respond is hopeless. They are no better than con artists.
Utterly dreadful. Have been attempting to contact them for 4 months trying to get a refund under warranty (which they state on their website) but constantly ignored. Do not buy from this company. Terrible products and even worse customer service
Please do not buy from this scam company. They sent out a toy remote less than half the size of the original remote I thought I was purchasing, which surprise surprise doesn't work.Have bombarded them with emails with one reply asking me to send pictures which I did, two weeks later absolutely nothing.I wish I'd read the reviews before I bought the remote.Being on a very tight budget too, very disappointed.
terrible service, misleading website name - nothing to do with UK, took over a month to receive the remote.ordered a remote which is quite expensive for my lg oled tv (with gesture/ mouse control), but it won't connect to the TV. Customer service is not responding to my emails at all.Waste of 35 pounds basically.Avoid
I actually read some of these reviews after I ordered my replacement control and was concerned I’d have problems. So I was very pleasantly surprised when my remote arrived within a week and seems to work perfectly on all the buttons. I did contact the company a few days after ordering to check on delivery and they responded quickly. Hopefully they’ve sorted out any issues customers may have had in the past.
Was apprehensive after reading these reviews but ordered, 10 days later received a good working remote for my Bose Wave for half the price of an original. How long it'll last only time will tell but happy in the meantime.
Ordered a Sharp TV remote. Remote did not work. Although they stated that products are genuine, they are not. FAKE. Customer service constantly requesting photos and refusing tonoffer refund. Customer service taking days to respond. I have escalated to PayPal and store and sending replica emails. Do not use this company.
SCAM, as per all the other bad reviews, shame I didn’t check on here first, lesson learnt!! They did send a remote, however it doesn’t work at all. Tried to return it only to have all the problems listed above in other reviews. So annoying they basically get your money and fob you off with returns. Bought another LG remote from Amazon which works perfectly.
Shocking service. Avoid using them.Supplied a "remote control " Non -working, cheap imitation.Would not reply to emails, returned remote as requested to "warehouse" ...a house in Bristol !!Still no refund, various email addresses linked to website. Been ongoing since early February 2021 !
Cheap Chinese knock offs ,very slow delivery, when the remote eventually arrived it didn't work, felt cheap and was definitely not a genuine product as advertised. I have asked for a refund, after a few delayed email responses asking for further details all communication has stopped. Doubt I will ever see the money back.
Ordered a replacement LG remote which was clearly a fake replica and cost more than a genuine LG remote, I later discovered. When it arrived it did not work. Really strange reply from company about two weeks later asking me to send pictures of defective remote. Then asked to send the defective remote to what appears to be a residential address in Spalding at my own cost. Still awaiting a refund and have ordered the genuine LG remote in meantime. £30 wasted. Avoid like the plague.
The remote I received isn't the same as the one I ordered, and although it does work with my Samsung TV the quality is poor and it looks like a cheap Chinese manufactured knock-off. Press the navigation buttons once and more often than not it registers twice and skips over what you actually want to land on, very annoying. I've given them 2 stars because something resembling a Samsung smart TV remote did arrive fairly quickly and it does work(ish) but I certainly won't be buying anything from them again. Based on the other reviews I don't think there's much point trying to contact the website to get a replacement. Disappointing.
Ordered a remote that does not work, got told I would receive a refund then later got told that’s not happening and to wait for further emails, when asked what I was having to wait for they emailed back without answering the question, again being told to wait for further emails. Faulty goods, terrible customer service. I wish I’d have read some reviews before ordering!

Top 5 Effective Ways To Spot a Scam Website [VIDEO]

There are many types of fake sites in the online world. We have some good news. Watch the video below to see the 5 effective ways you can spot a fraudulent website in 2024:

How To Remove Your Information From the Internet

Whether you like it or not, unfortunately, the Internet has all your personal information stored. How did that happen? Every time you visit a simple site and accept cookies, consent to their forms, or download an app, unscrupulous data brokers collect not just your phone number, name, AND address. They also sell this to third parties, which creates a $1 billion industry a year. Your collected personal data is used by buyers to send you never-ending spam emails, targeted ads, and, of course, telemarketing calls. Crooks use all your data without remorse.

We can help. Many people have asked us about how to remove your personal information from the Internet. If you want your data deleted entirely from the online world, contact our official partners at Incogni immediately. This legitimate data privacy tool works on your behalf to officially require a ton of online brokers to remove your data.

Our staff verifies that this service works and is trustworthy. For robust, essential protection, their Standard plan is a steal at just $8.29 for individuals, and you can extend that crucial peace of mind to your entire household with the Family plan (up to 5 users) for only $16.49. They also introduced the Unlimited plan starting from $14.99 that covers not only automatic data removals, but also unlimited custom removals available right away upon purchasing the Unlimited plan. It allows users to submit websites not yet covered by Incogni and get their data removed from there, too. They also offer a free exposure scanner that will give you an insight into what data of yours is exposed and where.
