We came up with the 80.6 score based on 53 aggregated factors relevant to glassdoor.co.uk's industry. The algorithm detected a low risk for activity related to phishing, spamming, and other factors noted in the Fair. Valid. Known. tags above. Long story short, we deemed this a known website, with a low scam probability. But let's explain in more detail.
Explaining Our Analytical Approach
We've displayed some important information within the Company Details section above, each deserving more explanation:
- Proximity to Suspicious Websites
- Threat Profile
- Phishing Profile
- Malware Score
- Spam Score
- Domain Blacklist Status
- HTTPS connection
- Domain Creation Date
While some are self-explanatory concerning glassdoor.co.uk, let's look closer at the remaining ones.
Proximity to Potentially Harmful Websites
This metric gauges the connection, scored on a scale of 1 to 100, between glassdoor.co.uk and websites marked as suspicious. Elevated scores point to a stronger link with these questionable online destinations. It's worth noting that website owners might not always be aware of their site's proximity to these dubious platforms or servers. However, a "Proximity to Suspicious Websites" score surpassing 80 strongly indicates a high-risk website, while a score below 30 signifies a less-threatening site.
Risk Factors: Threat, Phishing, Malware, and Spam
These indicators reveal the vulnerabilities and elements embedded within the HTML code of glassdoor.co.uk. They become especially pertinent if the website has received reports from internet users who've encountered unsolicited emails, ads, or messages related to the site. In the context of glassdoor.co.uk, our investigation continues working to pinpoint the specific category, but we welcome your insights in the comments below. A high Malware score generally implies the presence of suspicious code that might be unknowingly disseminated. Conversely, a high Spam score hints at a possibly spam-ridden email address associated with the business. Scores under 30 in both categories are reassuring, but any score surpassing this threshold should raise concerns. glassdoor.co.uk is an innocuous suspicious website, given all the risk factors and data numbers analyzed in this in-depth review. Share your experience in the comments.
Domain Blacklisting Status
This term indicates whether glassdoor.co.uk has landed on any online directories' blacklists and earned a suspicious tag.
Assessing HTTPS Connectivity

Online Reviews of glassdoor.co.uk

My colleagues and myself posted reviews about our company that gave a true reflection of our work conditions. Because they were negative, they were all removed. Got into contact with Glassdoor and sided with the the employer to remove them. There own site says employers can't get reviews removed. Seem contradictory to me. Contradictory and hypocritical. Bias and fake curating of reviews.
Glassdoor operates as a one-sided platform that lacks effective management and should be re-evaluated. When an employee is dismissed due to performance issues, it’s understandable that their feedback might not reflect a positive experience. Unfortunately, if someone holds a grudge and has the time, they can post multiple negative reviews, skewing perceptions unfairly. Even when issues are reported, Glassdoor’s response consists of generic emails that don’t provide any meaningful support or resolution, making it frustrating and unhelpful for companies trying to address unfair or inaccurate reviews.
Unusable website.Unable to progress any reviews. Immediately after logging in you're abruptly told to donate money, if you don't you can't use it.
Untrusted source for employees. First by being asked to disclose my role and year of employment, knowing my role is the only one in the company, is then easier to be identified internally for leaving a bad review. How can I leave a review anonomous without the company knowing it was me?Our Management constantly leaves 2 positive feedbacks for every negative one. How can one trust glassdoor when is intended to protect the company and to expose the employee who exposes the company.
an absolute scam of a site no way of monitoring if any of the sh** on there is true, clearly filled with a lot of people who dont like work
The joining process is complete bullsh1t - I have to leave a company review to use the site. I was about to just post a random bs review about a random company, but that makes me think there are probably so many other people like me who have done the same, meaning that using the site is pointless because it is flooded with fake reviews.
The employer has the final word when responding to reviews. Its in glassdoors t+c's. If that's not biased I don't know what is.
I came to Trustpilot to share my disgust at the process of joining Glassdoor. However, I see from the 93% 1-Star reviews that my main mistake was not coming here first! Glassdoor is utterly disingenuous in its advertising. One cannot view ANY information without first posting a review of an employer or similar. My Son is in College as has no review to post. So the only way he can access a potential employer is to create a fake review. This UTTERLY rips Glassdoor credibility to shreds as how many other tens on thousands of unemployed, students or first-time job seekers are being forced into the same situation. For a first-time job-seeker this is 100% useless and simply gather personal information which will be used for whatever the Company choses. I am sure they have a published T&C document but I have yet to meet another human being who reads these whilst trying to sign-up for a service. I daresay there maybe some value to those in employment but Glassdoor really ought to make it clear from the get go that this is hopeless for 1st time jobseekers.
What a absolute garbage website makes you submit a review before you can use the site then you find out how pathetic it is please close down immediately your not fit for purpose
I wrote an accurate and truthful review on a company I worked for.Review was never approved. Review was then removed. Why? Perhaps the rumours of this company taking payment are true?
I reported a few reviews for the company I work for because they were clearly not for the correct company (both companies have the same name but two very different industries). Glassdoor said that the reviews were acceptable and would remain...They also set my profile to the wrong company and then would only let me change it if I told them my work email! No chance. I deleted my account instead
Glassdoor is the worst ever company to leave a review.they deleted my review about Northumbria university because it was only 1 star !.probably the ceo of the university is too ashamed of the mess and glassdoor immediately deleted it .they are unfair and approve only the review approved by the companies they pay them .totally avoid and do not trust their faked positive reviews. Moreover they do no have respect of our privacy because they collect our details if we want to write a review
left a review about my employer and it took balls to trust Glassdoor as I was worried about doing it. I’ve just had an email to say they’ve removed my review as it’s fraudulent!
Used to be helpful and informative, now it's just another work social media platform that forces you to complete forms like a scam website does.. what have you become Glassdoor?
I’m extremely disappointed to discover that Glassdoor removes genuine reviews due to pressure from companies. It’s frustrating to see honest feedback being deleted, which defeats the whole purpose of the platform. This kind of behavior undermines trust, and I no longer feel confident in relying on Glassdoor for truthful insights. I won’t be using or trusting this platform anymore.
Constantly having to provide information to the website, which I already did, just to use it.. isn't really great for a user experience. More so when its a buggy mess and seems to lack many options.Lastly.. when selecting a industry.. you do not even have Education listed.. quite a huge amount of us work in this industry called 'Education'.Baffles me the site has such poor filtering.
Allows 'free speech' then takes all the 1 star reviews away when the company complains.Great 'honest' website, luring staff into terrible companies. The point of glassdoor is what? Clearly the glassdoor is very dirty.....
The website locks the screen and forces me to put my salary or review about a current employer. However, due to the fact that I was self-employed so far in the UK and busy with my own projects, I can't complete those steps and unlock this screen. I don't want to lie neither (but apparently this is what GlassDoor wants or forces the visitors to do!). Based on their limited opinion, a visitor should be already employed in a company to be able to see the information about other companies on the website, which is such a meaningless rule; It doesn't consider all possibilities and it is not comprehensive enough for all types of work/experience.. In this case, self-employed people like me or even people with no previous experience, will never be able to reach information and will find themselves in a loophole, or should lie....(!) to unlock the screen.* The website needs to widen its perspective, and review their restrictive rules.
I would just like to say a big thankyou to Rachel Gilmour and Kerry Adamson for helping me get the job of washroom service driver, look forward to being part of the rentokil initial family
I have just thoroughly checked, and they have definitely removed my review of my employer. I thought it was strange that my company's rating had magically gone up over night, and it seems that negative reviews my colleagues and I posted have been removed and replaced with clearly fake positive ones. Glassdoor have rendered their whole business completely redundant with this outright lying to people who are just looking for honest reviews before taking on a job. What a disgusting, repugnant company. I really hope Glassdoor goes out of business and is replaced by something honest.

Top 5 Effective Ways To Spot a Scam Website [VIDEO]
There are many types of fake sites in the online world. We have some good news. Watch the video below to see the 5 effective ways you can spot a fraudulent website in 2024:
How To Remove Your Information From the Internet
Whether you like it or not, unfortunately, the Internet has all your personal information stored. How did that happen? Every time you visit a simple site and accept cookies, consent to their forms, or download an app, unscrupulous data brokers collect not just your phone number, name, AND address. They also sell this to third parties, which creates a $1 billion industry a year. Your collected personal data is used by buyers to send you never-ending spam emails, targeted ads, and, of course, telemarketing calls. Crooks use all your data without remorse.
We can help. Many people have asked us about how to remove your personal information from the Internet. If you want your data deleted entirely from the online world, contact our official partners at Incogni immediately. This legitimate data privacy tool works on your behalf to officially require a ton of online brokers to remove your data.
Our staff verifies that this service works and is trustworthy. For robust, essential protection, their Standard plan is a steal at just $8.29 for individuals, and you can extend that crucial peace of mind to your entire household with the Family plan (up to 5 users) for only $16.49. They also introduced the Unlimited plan starting from $14.99 that covers not only automatic data removals, but also unlimited custom removals available right away upon purchasing the Unlimited plan. It allows users to submit websites not yet covered by Incogni and get their data removed from there, too. They also offer a free exposure scanner that will give you an insight into what data of yours is exposed and where.
