giftya.com Review

The Scam Detector website Validator gives giftya.com a medium-risk trust score on the platform: 64.8. It signals that the business is best defined by the following tags: Known. Vetted. Low Risk.. We are confident about our score as we also partner with other high-tech, fraud-prevention companies that found the same issues. So, why this score? We came up with the 64.8 score based on 53 aggregated factors relevant to giftya.com's industry. The algorithm detected a slightly lower risk for activity related to phishing, spamming, and other factors, noted in the Known. Vetted. Low Risk. tags above. Long story short, we recommend staying vigilant and using common sense when engaging with this website. But let's explain in more detail.

Explaining Our Analytical Approach

We've displayed some important information within the Company Details section above, each deserving more explanation:

  • Proximity to Suspicious Websites
  • Threat Profile
  • Phishing Profile
  • Malware Score
  • Spam Score
  • Domain Blacklist Status
  • HTTPS connection
  • Domain Creation Date

While some are self-explanatory concerning giftya.com, let's dive deeper into the remaining ones.

Proximity to Potentially Harmful Websites

This metric gauges the connection, scored on a scale of 1 to 100, between giftya.com and websites marked as suspicious. Elevated scores point to a stronger link with these questionable online destinations. It's worth noting that website owners might not always be aware of their site's proximity to these dubious platforms or servers. However, a "Proximity to Suspicious Websites" score surpassing 80 strongly indicates a high-risk website, while a score below 30 signifies a less-threatening site.

Risk Factors: Threat, Phishing, Malware, and Spam

These indicators reveal the vulnerabilities and elements embedded within the HTML code of giftya.com. They become especially pertinent if the website has received reports from internet users who've encountered unsolicited emails, ads, or messages related to the site. In the context of giftya.com, our investigation continues working to pinpoint the specific category, but we welcome your insights in the comments below. A high Malware score generally implies the presence of suspicious code that might be unknowingly disseminated. Conversely, a high Spam score hints at a possibly spam-ridden email address associated with the business. Scores under 30 in both categories are reassuring, but any score surpassing this threshold should raise concerns. giftya.com is likely a safe website, given all the risk factors and data numbers analyzed in this in-depth review. Share your experience in the comments.

Domain Blacklisting Status

This term indicates whether giftya.com has landed on any online directories' blacklists and earned a suspicious tag.

Assessing HTTPS Connectivity

This section provides insight into whether giftya.com boasts an 's' at the end of the 'HTTP' protocol listed in your browser's address bar. If the tab displays in green, consider it a positive sign.

Safe Check

We want our trust scores and reviews to be as accurate as possible so that you can protect yourself from online fraud. Our algorithm aggregates factors that efficiently analyze a company's website, in this case, giftya.com.

“Horrible place”

Worst place go buy customer service is non existing. And they won't give you credit or a refund. Do not use you'll get screwed! Products used:Gift card Service Value Shipping Returns

“Never received money”

Purchased gift card through Buffalo Wild Wings website. It sent me into Giftya who charged me. Email sent to my son, he followed instructions for account setup. Bought the wings, money never came through. Giftya customer service was a robot, not helpful. Products used:Never got giftcard money Service Value Shipping Returns Quality

“Don't waste your time”

Horrible! I bought a gift card and the person I sent it to never received it. The online chat did not work. I had to spend over 30 minutes to find a phone number and get ahold of customer service. They were barely any help. They just keep telling us that it was sent and they claimed the gift card. The person I sent this to NEVER received a text from them. At one point they told me they emailed it to him, I NEVER gave them his email. I asked for a refund. Now it's saying to will take 10 days to get the money back. Service Value Shipping Returns Quality

“A scam?”

I don't if this is just really poorly designed or a scam, but it didn't work for me. My mom bought me $75 for GrubHub (not realizing she could just buy a card directly from GrubHub...) and I have not been reimbursed for any GrubHub purchases. At best, this is a stupid concept. Service Value

“Don't do it”

I ordered a 50$ Uber eats card for my boyfriend. It was not delivered from his phone within an hour. I called and they told me the system is slow and it would be delivered within 4 hours. Here it is 2 days later, still have not received. I called and they said the order was cancelled and I am banned from using giftya again for reasons they can not share. I was so confused this was the first time I had ever used their website or heard of them. Just a waste of time overall Service Value Shipping Returns Quality

“Could not open the gift card, never retrieved the gift. DON'T USE!”

Sent a gift card via GiftYa to my father via the text method. He could not open it, and they would not let me then send it to myself to get credit. Their customer service is non-existent. Bottom line, I got scammed by them for $50.

“Do Not Use! Save your time and money.”

I tried to purchase a Google Play egift card for my partner as a gift. I put my order through and the money was deducted from my bank account, however neither of us received the egift card. After contacting support I received an automated email response with a link to an article stating why your credit card may not work online and that my order was canceled and never processed! So never processed means they take your money, no one receives a gift, and no refund. I would NOT recommend this website to anyone. Tip for consumers:Save your money and your time. Products used:I tried to purchase a $25 Google Play egift card Service Value Shipping Returns Quality

“It's a scam. Have reported them my bank for fraud”

Accidentally clicked their link when trying to quickly purchase a home depot gift card. The card didn't work when my son opened it at HD--- was told it was a fake gift card. I emailed with gifya support and they told me to **give them my credit card number** to which they will credit the balance-- how's that for a total scam.

“Gift card not working”

I'm wondering if this company is a scam because this card I texted to my daughter does not work and I sent an email to them and they're telling me ways to make it work and that I have to pay three dollars and ninety nine cents through zelley to get the money back. If it does work, it's a very complicated way of doing things. It shouldn't be.I am furious And will notuse this company.

“Waste of time”

Tried buying an e-card for Amazon through Giftya several weeks before Christmas 2021. After several time consuming attempts, it appeared I was successful. But just a few seconds after I received a text saying my e-card had been sent to the recipient, I received a second text saying the transaction had failed. It was suggested I start from scratch and try again. No thanks. Tip for consumers:That the site is NOT user friendly.

“Scam”

I ordered some gift cards and they turned around and canceled my order and then told me I had to wait 3-7 to get my money back they were acting like I was the problem I purchased 5-100 dollar CoinBase gift cards the next day the stock I was going to pick went up almost 3 percent and they told me they would not cover the lost. Tip for consumers:They are scammers to not shop with them Products used:Nothing my order was canceled

“Bad”

Tried to order four visa gift cards thru google browser microsoft browser and phone app and after filling out all the info they ask for payment. I fill out paypal and credit card infor and all i ever get is sorry we can't help you. Talk to them on phone and all they could say is customer service won't tell me anything sorry we can't help you Service Value Quality

“Scam”

My company gave me a gift card through Giftya that never came. They said I opened and used it. I did get the texts with the code, then the website said an email would come with the gift card, it never came. I looked in spam/junk folders, I used search for keywords in my email, nothing! DO NOT USE! Products used:My company sent me an Amazon gift card Service Value Shipping Returns Quality

“Crap unreliable website... no support”

Made one transaction which worked fine. Did a 2nd one 5 mins later and the platform got caught in a loop. The chatbot is useless and no obvious support. Very frustrating Tip for consumers:Avoid this site Products used:Uber eats gift card Service Value Shipping Returns Quality

Top 5 Effective Ways To Spot a Scam Website [VIDEO]

There are many types of fake sites in the online world. We have some good news. Watch the video below to see the 5 effective ways you can spot a fraudulent website in 2024:

How To Remove Your Information From the Internet

Whether you like it or not, unfortunately, the Internet has all your personal information stored. How did that happen? Every time you visit a simple site and accept cookies, consent to their forms, or download an app, unscrupulous data brokers collect not just your phone number, name, AND address. They also sell this to third parties, which creates a $1 billion industry a year. Your collected personal data is used by buyers to send you never-ending spam emails, targeted ads, and, of course, telemarketing calls. Crooks use all your data without remorse.

We can help. Many people have asked us about how to remove your personal information from the Internet. If you want your data deleted entirely from the online world, contact our official partners at Incogni immediately. This legitimate data privacy tool works on your behalf to officially require a ton of online brokers to remove your data.

Our staff verifies this service works and is trustworthy. It costs only $6.49/month but is worth the cost. U.S., UK, EU, Swiss, and Canadian residents only. Click below. button remove data online
