Is giftbasket.com Legit?

Placed two orders, customer service cannot find either and I am out of more than $225.00. This is fraud...somebody needs to tell Jim McCann, the founder, he has a fraudulent service ripping off people.

Would not allow me to change the ship to address even before it shipped. Customer service is in India and impossible to understand.

My best friend is visiting Nashville on her very special birthday. As I couldn't join I ordered 2 (expensive) items through gift basket which I found on Google under "Nashville" gift baskets. With the promise of next day delivery if order is placed before 2:00pm a business day before, being extra careful, I ordered the items Oct. 19th (Saturday) for delivery October 22nd., her birthday.Tracking keeps telling me different deliveries. One item shipped by FedEx, the other by UPS, none originating in Nashville. Both items "on their way" on day of intended and promised delivery, "estimated delivery, October 23rd", by 8:00 pm, past her birthday and, lilelly past her checking ot of the hotel for her flight home.They initially offered a 20% refund, following my insistence of a full refund, they complied. That, however does nothing to ruin a birthday surprise for a very dear friend ! Total waste of time and effort.

Contrary to previous reviews here, I have to praise them for their service. I ordered the Easter Basket for my family in Texas which, when duly arrived was pathetic compared to what the description was on line. I wrote to them immediately and voiced my disappointment and described what they had received. The response couldn't have been faster. And smartly resent the correct gift. 100%satisfied.

Well I guess this company could improve things by delivering my order to the recipient. Or was placed on 17/07/24 I have also sent several messages but no response I don't usually write reviews but I don't want anyone else to be scammed by this company

They not only did not send out the gift I ordered I kept getting emails saying they could not send out the order until they spoke to me as there was a problem taking payment. They DID take payment but did not deliver any gift despite the order being cancelled both by me and by them. Huge disappointment and embarrassment to the person whose b'day it was. My experience was very GOOD. Wish I remembered the name of the person who helped me out.I phoned in order. I do not order things on i'net. Anyway, I made a huge mistake and realized it AFTER I hung up. Called back immediately and luckily the same person answered the phone. She was VERY sweet and gracious in spite of it being such a stupid mistake on my part. She made the necessary corrections without throwing out any criticisms my way. Thank you for that.

Similar experience to everyone else, paid extra for quick delivery and it came late, super lackluster items and presentation. Basically paid $100 for stuff I could’ve got for $20 at any corner store.

The ordering and paying process went well. Unfortunately the failure can when I received a phone call saying my order could not be filled. After the website showing my area had someone to fill the order, I received a phone call stating that the place that was to prepare and deliver the fruit basket did not have fruit and could not fill the order. The caller then wanted to give me a 50% refund. I say no way, I want a full refund and complete refund of the product cost and charges applied to the order. I did get the refund. However, I really needed that gift basket. They should know if their suppliers have the items they advertised within a specific zip code.

I wish I had read the comments before I buy anything with them. I bought a Next Day basket gift that supposed to be delivered today 29th February. Since I got an email with the confirmation of the payment I haven’t received any updates regarding my order so I called them today and just found out that my order supposed to be delivered tomorrow. The birthday is TODAY not TOMORROW. What on earth I’ll hire a next day delivery in this case?

Ordered on a Monday for a Wednesday delivery for Valentine's Day. Paid $19.99 for 2 day delivery. Today is Wednesday and the tracking number only says "label has been created". Why would I want something FOR Valentine's Day delivered AFTER Valentine's Day? I wish I had read these reviews before ordering. They offered me a 30% refund. That won't even cover the cost of the shipping. Customer service is honestly no help at all. Never again.

I have seen similar reviews. Ordered Sunday for Wednesday delivery. Package not even close to being delivered. Customer service acted as if it was my fault. Will never use again and ship things all the time as my spouse works on the road extensively. They didnt even make an effort to resolve.

If no star was an option I'd give that! I had issues from the start with this company. Did order over the phone ; at the end when it was time to pay I was told they couldn't do the payment. I had to go online and start the whole process over again, paid and thought all was well. Next day I get an email stating it could not be processed because of discrepancies within the order 🤷🏻‍♀️ from me to them at a hospital. The order was cancelled because I did not call them back soon enough ( I was at work) get home, called ; it was to late. They said they refunded the money. Would take 3 days. I talked to them again , worked out the problem . Had to go online and redo the order. End result , recipient never received the order and neither order was refunded! This place is horrible ; had a very difficult time understanding anyone I spoke to on the phone ; I don't think they could understand either. Wish I had read reviews before hand. Lesson learned! Save yourself the headache ; never use "The gift basket store" or affiliated stores owned by same company!!

I just ordered Easter Basket for my son, kind of sketched me out at times because it said unable to locate page but then it popped up. So I hope my Son gets his Easter Basket or there goes $40 bucks out the window.

I ordered The New Yorker- Bagel & Appetizing Package for some family members. Everyone raved about it. Everything was fresh. The presentation was excellent. Some of the items were packed in ice to keep them fresh. I had to contact their customer service to check on the arrival date. The customer service representatives were all professional, helpful and pleasant. It went so well that I ordered another for a brunch that more family members were having. This is a wonderful organization with great, fresh, delicious items.

I ordered a mother's day gift for my grandmother and paid for overnight shipping. The gift still has not arrived after 2 days and is late. My grandmother did not receive her gift as promised. I reached out to support for a refund and they only gave me 20% which isn't even enough to cover for the overnight shipping that I pad for. Will never purchase from this company ever again.

I placed my order 5 days in advance to make sure the gift will be delivered the exact day as our wedding anniversary, paid extra money for choosing an exact date for delivery and surprisingly they emailed on the CHOSEN DATE the saying we can not deliver your gift !!! Ordered and paid for delivery on a specific day and still 4 days later not received. Customer service awful and offered a discount on next order (which I am never going to use). I made an order 9 days ago for next-day delivery and no delivery has been made yet! I email them yesterday and they replied that are out for delivery today. It's unacceptable. That was a condolences gift that lost its meaning because was not delivered on time. I can only imagine how bad is the service on special holidays. I was appalled at the quality of the Exotic Fruit Basket & Champagne gift I paid £132 for - arrived in a a cardboard box, not the advertised basket. Three pieces of the supposed ‘exotic' fruits were apples that were rotten and so went straight in the bin. Ordered a Christmas Basket for my sisters in NY. Paid extra for 2 day ship $43.65. Basket arrived 5 days later. Beat up, ripped box, torn cellophane. Paid this company a total of $285.96 for this basket. Horrible experience. Felt embarrassed for the recipients. What should have been a pleasant experience, turned into a nightmare. They did not even have the courtesy to respond to my emails. Avoid this company. They are not honest people.

I purchased the "Calm Seas Spa Gift Set" which was delivered late but I gave them a pass on that due to a backlog with package deliveries but what I can't overlook is the fact that they did not include my card/message, so the recipient (my assistant), had no clue who it was from. I tried to go about other ways but no email to contact support and no one is returning or answering my calls! I ordered an Easter Bunny basket for my neice and nephew and it was 3 days late. Run away from this company. I ordered a gourmet fruit basket for a funeral and they delivered danish cookies (in the round tin can 2 for $5) and squeeze apple sauce. Yes, that was the top of the line giftbasket. FALSE advertising on website!

“Christmas Disaster”

I placed an order for 2 baskets a MONTH ahead of time. One basket never arrived; when I called to inquire where it was they told me a supervisor would call me right back. No calls. Two days later I call again and finally the "supervisor" got on the phone and told me it was on "back order". They had an entire month to tell me this and had no plans on informing me. They were just letting my order sit indefinitely. The one package I did receive was a completely different basket worth FAR less than what I had ordered, contained items the recipient had no taste for AND had a note on it written to some guy I have never heard of. They have the fastest service for delivery. The flowers are breathtaking every time and all my wife's deliveries. Pleasant, knowledgeable staff. Whether it's Mother's Day or a birthday or a holiday they're always up to date on the modern day vase or flower holder of your liking. They have very reasonable prices and definitely excellent flowers - fresh and with much aroma of beautiful smelling flowers.

Very unhappy with the gift basket I sent to my grandkids half way across the country. Showed up several days after it said it was delivered and was nothing like the picture shown that I ordered. No bucket, just a cardboard box with only some of the listed candy included. Not as advertised. Per advertisement on the website: All Time Favorites Halloween Bucket Contents include: 1 Purple Halloween Bucket Hershey's Assortment - Reeses Peanut Butter Cups Miniatures Kit Kats Peppermint Patties Kisses Bucket not received. Candy 90% Hershey miniatures no peppermint patties, kisses etc. thrown into a box. Probably worth $10.00 max, certainly not $60.00+. First 2 pictures are as received. “Absolutely horrible”

This basket was like $60-70 that I received for Mother's Day and I couldn't believe they were selling things from the dollar store. I'm pretty sure the dollar store looks better than what they sent me, and when you try calling them there's no answer and they give you 5 seconds to leave a voicemail until it cuts you off. I feel bad my boyfriend spent his money on this cheap $#*! basket. The products are nothing but chemicals. He even paid extra and it didn't get here on time for Mother's Day.

“Surprised, they turned out to be great!”

I didn't find this site until weeks after ordering from GiftBasket.com. Was quite surprised to see all of the negative reviews. Nothing but positive for me and my friend who was recovering from Surgery. Did a search, company came up. Ordered a get well basket with cookies, candies, and such. Got a call cursing and thanking me at the same time. Loved the cookies so much they couldn't stop eating, but recovering from surgery couldn't exercise to burn the calories. :) Smiles all around. I will definitely use them again.

“This company has the WORST customer service I have...”

This company has the WORST customer service I have ever encountered. Tried to place an order several times for 20 gift baskets for my customers. Was told that a manager named Evelyn would call me back, and this never happened. Called back two days later and was told the same thing. This was the last week of November. Received no followup for the next two weeks. Called again the 3rd week of December. The mysterious Evelyn was always in her car, out to lunch, in the warehouse, on another call. I really felt that these people did not want my business. Finally someone called me back and I stupidly completed the order. Next time I will call Harry and Davids. May cost a little more, but who needs this headache during the holidays. Also, they never sent me a confirmation number, receipt, or ANYTHING. Just called them today (12/29) for a receipt and was told "Evelyn" will email it too me. The only way I knew these delivered was thank yous from my customers. NEVER AGAIN!

“Inedible and expired food products”

Received a "Godiva & More" gift basket from giftbasket.com, the website lists the "value" to be $130, but I could have picked these items up for about $10 or less at the grocery store (and I would have received full-size items instead of these itty-bitty one-bite disappointments that this company ships). I had to spit most of the items out. Some of the wrappers confirmed what I suspected - the items were past their expiration date. Most of the wrappers didn't even have expiration dates though - which is probably why they were shipping them out bad. I tried to contact the company, and they asked me to send them "proof" of the expiration dates. I sent what I could. I have not heard back. I'm not holding my breath, as I see others have had bad experiences with customer service. Service Value Quality

There was not 1 single piece of fruit in the basket. Instead there was popcorn, a can of soda, honey, salami, cookies, peanut brittle and 2 other small snack bags. What a ripoff! “Absolutely Appauled”

I sent a basket to an employee that got injured at work. It went to the hospital which it never got there in the time frame that they claimed so he was released and it was at the hospital, they called the hospital and told them to discard the basket. So the hospital discarded the basket and then when I called they acted like it was my fault for sending the basket to someone in the hospital. Three weeks later they finally sent the basket again and when it got there it looked like my child packed it up but first smashed everything before putting it in to the box upside down and just thrown in. I would never use them again!
