Is getanymanual.com Legit?

I wish I had read these reviews before I paid 95p for my manual as I like others here have had monthly payments of £95.99 taken each month from my account since January. Fortunately my bank, The CoOp bank has managed to get my money back......BUT they are still doing it and my bank has closed my account and sent me a new card.......BE WARNED ALL !Martin

This company this week took an unexpected payment of £49.95 from my account apparently linking it to a subscription following a 0.99p purchase from them a few months ago. At that time there was no indication that this was something I was signing up to.I have tried repeatedly to contact them without success.Please be very careful and don't make the same mistake that I did.

I ordered an instruction manual at a cost of .95pence.It eventually arrived later than it said it would and after I received a manual direct from the manufactures .Then I noticed that this company had charged my bank account £99.95 ? This is something I never agreed too and believe that this is fraudulent. I have made a number of phone calls none of which have been returned. I would warn anyone not to use this company at any price.

Fraudsters and crooks. The website is designed to hook unsuspecting customers into unwittingly signing up to a subscription for a Manual providing service. After initially signing up, paying what seemed a fair price of £0.95 to make a one off search for a manual, within a week this company was helping itself to £49.95 every two months out of my account. There were no supporting emails to make the arrangement transparent and clear. Instead this trick is buried in the terms and conditions. Despite what it says on their website, there is NO customer service at the end of the phone. They have a stock email response to victims who then try to email their complaint. They try to claim there is a 'tacit' agreement that they can take money in this way. Appalling. Will now pursue All options to reclaim ALL my money back. One refund of £45.99 is insulting. Same as many on here. Thought I was buying a manual for 95 pence and end currently out of pocket by £99.95. This is a scam hidden behind a supposedly genuine company.How many people have been defrauded in this way. How many have not realised and lost hundreds of pounds. This company needs avoiding and investigating by Trading Standards the Police or some authority.

If I could rate this site with zero stars I would. This is a really bad site. I ordered a one off manual for a telescope for my 5 year old grandson only to be then charged £49.95 every 2 months. They won't refund so my account is £150 lighter. They put you on an automatic renewal which isn't very clear, neither are the T&C's. Just make sure you cancel within the 7 day 'trial period'.

I was surprised to be charged for a Vax Vacuum Cleaner manual, but I paid up and put my card details in. When the manual did not arrive I got suspicious. No money had come out of my account Hinx's website that they were still processing my request several minutes later, so looked up reviews of the company and decided to cancel my card. No manual, and no card for a week, but no money taken out of my account.

Definite Scam. I was slightly more fortunate than some other reviewers in that I did actually receive the manual I requested. Cost, 0.95p. then, one week later, £49.95 was taken from my account. So I looked through the Terms and conditions to find that I was committed to a monthly payment of £99.99 for three years. This, despite being given no opportunity to terminate the agreement within 28 days. Subsequently, I have instructed my bank to block all future withdrawals. Very much a case of us customers having the wool pulled over our eyes. Come on Banks, jump on this scandalous scam and drive getanymanual.com straight to the law courts.

Manual for obsolete sewing machine supplied BUT I was totally taken in by the ongoing subscription. Thankfully managed to cancel AFTER first payment taken from my account. Barclays Bank Fraud Department contacted me regarding the payment which I think was probably legal but sharp practice. Not a good way to run a business.

Wanted a manual for an old mobility scooter. Found very quickly on this site. Downloaded and printed quickly. Job done. Very pleased. Accidentally signed up for a subscription which I didn't want. Contacted the company who cancelled my account and quickly reimbursed the first months sub taken from my bank account. Just be careful.

When reading the title a company offering to source any manual for 95p there is no indication that this is a monthly subscription of just under £100 per month that comes into effect a week later!It's a total rip off Obviously, it's in the small print somewhere so be very aware and personally try other sources to get your manual its often out there just needs a bit more digging sometimes, its certinaly not worth £100 per month

As many others have said this company is nothing short of a bunch of scammers paid 95p for a manual I never got and got conned into a £99.99 a month subscription. Ok it’s in the t&c small print but who reads all the way through them!.anyway contacted my bank to cancel all payments and they told me they could stop payments for thirteen months. But beware this is a self repeating subscription so in theory will start again after thirteen months so be aware if you get suckered by this company just make sure you contact them and cancel the subscription totally.

As many others paid 0.95 for a toy manual.luckily when the download hadn't arrived,I contacted the bank who looked into the company on my behalf,and told me they had me down for a recurring payment,why would I pay monthly I only wanted one toy manual, luckily the bank put a block on the recurring payment. I agree they need to be investigated for this kind of malpractice.Nothing but scammers!

How does this company operate?they have taken £49.95 from my account every month since November and now I have put a block on them so it wont happen again

The manual "Getanymanual" found for me is exactly the same printed manual I had. This will help me understand my multi-function steam / pressure cooker better for my cooking ! This a complete cam. Not only did I not receive a manual but I immediately got hit with a £99.95 charge. Maybe somewhere in the small print there was something about a monthly subscription but it certainly wasn’t obvious. Beware of this fraudulent company’s activity!

I had lost the manual for my Janome 8050 XL computerized sewing machine, which is no longer in production. A fairly quick internet search led me to Getanymanual.com. I entered the make and model of my machine and it took seconds for them to locate a manual. I was able to purchase a copy online for less than £1 and I received an email from them the following day including a link for me to access my manual, which I was able to download right away. Overall, a very quick and simple process! My only reason for the 4 stars, rather than 5, was because the manual was for the 8050 machine, not the XL version, but I was only interested in the basic operation of the machine and this covered all I needed to know. A great service, highly recommended.

Wanted the manual for my Audio timer unit the advert said they had my manual, I had to pay a small amount to obtain this manual, but when I got past the payment process I had to search a list, whereas the manufacturer was not listed let alone the product number. Disgusted at a company that advertises this, Secondmanual, was the same at a higher cost not much but subscription. not impressed. cancelled immediately as this is just a scam

For the advertised £0.95p, I found the short manual I asked for, to be good value for money. However, I later found out that the Getanymanual company tried to extract around £50.00 from my account a few days afterwards. Fortunately, this was blocked by my bank, but I wasted hours trying to sort it out with them. Buyer beware!

After being told that there was a charge of think it was 95p I thought that was reasonable, so went ahead. Spent about 1 minute looking at the section I wanted for a Honda CRV. and cleared down. Only to find days later that my account had been charged £99.95.This is a scam on a staggering level. My bank is now taking action to reimburse me thankfully. I had to give the company a rating of 1 star or I couldnt proceed to make this statement. I would advise anyone using this site not too. Am deeply suspicious of the "good" feedback on here, I seriously believe that it is themselves writing the positive feedback to lull you into a false sense of security. If any one from the company wants to contact me and give me a refund I would be more than happy....Oooh look some flying pigs.
