gadgetward.co.uk Review

The Scam Detector website Validator gives gadgetward.co.uk a medium-risk trust score on the platform: 64.1. It signals that the business is best defined by the following tags: Known. Vetted. Low Risk.. We are confident about our score as we also partner with other high-tech, fraud-prevention companies that found the same issues. So, why this score? We came up with the 64.1 score based on 53 aggregated factors relevant to gadgetward.co.uk's industry. The algorithm detected a slightly lower risk for activity related to phishing, spamming, and other factors, noted in the Known. Vetted. Low Risk. tags above. Long story short, we recommend staying vigilant and using common sense when engaging with this website. But let's explain in more detail.

Explaining Our Analytical Approach

We've displayed some important information within the Company Details section above, each deserving more explanation:

  • Proximity to Suspicious Websites
  • Threat Profile
  • Phishing Profile
  • Malware Score
  • Spam Score
  • Domain Blacklist Status
  • HTTPS connection
  • Domain Creation Date

While some are self-explanatory concerning gadgetward.co.uk, let's dive deeper into the remaining ones.

Proximity to Potentially Harmful Websites

This metric gauges the connection, scored on a scale of 1 to 100, between gadgetward.co.uk and websites marked as suspicious. Elevated scores point to a stronger link with these questionable online destinations. It's worth noting that website owners might not always be aware of their site's proximity to these dubious platforms or servers. However, a "Proximity to Suspicious Websites" score surpassing 80 strongly indicates a high-risk website, while a score below 30 signifies a less-threatening site.

Risk Factors: Threat, Phishing, Malware, and Spam

These indicators reveal the vulnerabilities and elements embedded within the HTML code of gadgetward.co.uk. They become especially pertinent if the website has received reports from internet users who've encountered unsolicited emails, ads, or messages related to the site. In the context of gadgetward.co.uk, our investigation continues working to pinpoint the specific category, but we welcome your insights in the comments below. A high Malware score generally implies the presence of suspicious code that might be unknowingly disseminated. Conversely, a high Spam score hints at a possibly spam-ridden email address associated with the business. Scores under 30 in both categories are reassuring, but any score surpassing this threshold should raise concerns. gadgetward.co.uk is likely a safe website, given all the risk factors and data numbers analyzed in this in-depth review. Share your experience in the comments.

Domain Blacklisting Status

This term indicates whether gadgetward.co.uk has landed on any online directories' blacklists and earned a suspicious tag.

Assessing HTTPS Connectivity

This section provides insight into whether gadgetward.co.uk boasts an 's' at the end of the 'HTTP' protocol listed in your browser's address bar. If the tab displays in green, consider it a positive sign.

Safe Check

We want our trust scores and reviews to be as accurate as possible so that you can protect yourself from online fraud. Our algorithm aggregates factors that efficiently analyze a company's website, in this case, gadgetward.co.uk.

Online Reviews of gadgetward.co.uk

  • Score: 2.8
Fraudulent company. I've added an item in the basket and there are a few options for how to pay and also there's a text saying 'Taxes and shipping calculated at checkout'. I didn't plan to buy anything yet just wanted to check how much taxes and shipping going to be added. At this stage they didn't ask for my address or bank details but just after I pressed 'Checkout' my bank sent me a message 'We have blocked transaction for £amount'. Once again, I didn't provide my bank details but Gatgetward somehow found my payment details and tried to change my bank account without my consent. !!!! BE VERY CAREFUL WITH !!!
This company is a total SCAM! I placed an order TWO MONTHS ago, and nothing has been dispatched—just a web of lies! They wasted my time by repeatedly promising that my item would be dispatched within 7 business days. After two months of this nonsense, I finally cancelled the order, but now I'm in a battle to get my money back. They REFUSE to refund me! I'm left with no choice but to take legal action. This has been an absolute waste of time. DO NOT, under any circumstances, order from them! The positive reviews you see are clearly written by themselves to deceive potential customers. Stay away from this fraudulent company!
OK, best price of all grey import sellers. And also have to be admitted their support was polite and apologetic, but the good stuff are ending here. Their realistic delivery time is weeks, not days. Worst they are not transparent about it. Instead lie every time you chase that your order would be dispatched "next Friday". After 4 weeks I got fed up and had to open a case with PayPal to get my money back, which they promptly refunded. I would avoid in the future as I do not feel they are trustworthy (think warranty if needed) and saving is not worth it.
I am utterly appalled by my experience with this company. I placed an order for a £2000 lens on October 5th, lured by their seemingly cheaper prices, and it has been a nightmare ever since. I spoke with a representative named Harry (if that’s even his real name) who assured me that this company was legitimate. He promised my order would ship within 10 business days and that I would receive it within 3-5 business days. Spoiler alert: NONE of that happened! After waiting with no updates, I emailed them for clarification. They apologized and claimed there was a shipping issue—something they supposedly had never encountered before. I thought, fine, I’ll wait. Harry assured me my order would be dispatched in 5 business days. Again, NOTHING!On October 25th, I reached out again, desperate for answers. They told me it would ship that week at the latest. Surprise, surprise—it didn’t! When I tried calling the following Monday, I couldn’t even get through. They had blocked their phone lines! It’s clear they’re hiding from their customers and their responsibilities.I started reading other reviews and realized I wasn’t alone—everyone is suffering from this company’s incompetence. They don’t answer calls, and their email responses are painfully slow, if they respond at all! Finally, I requested a refund, and they promised it would be processed in 2-3 business days. Of course, that didn’t happen! I’ve sent countless emails, and there’s been no reply.I’ve now raised a dispute with my bank and am still waiting for my refund. This has been a total waste of 6 weeks, and I’m left scrambling to find a legitimate company to order my lens from.DO NOT, under any circumstances, order from these scammers! Save yourself the headache and choose a reliable company instead!
I urgently needed a new phone after mine unexpectedly crashed, so I ordered from GadgetWard based on their stated shipping timelines. Despite prompt communication, they failed to meet each promised date, leaving me waiting without updates until I had to request a refund. Their delays forced me to stretch my budget to buy a tablet instead, which I hadn’t planned for. If you’re in urgent need of a product, avoid GadgetWard. They couldn’t deliver as promised, and it cost me extra in the end.
Product delivered with specification as described at a really competitive price. Expected delivery date was way out so actually missed the first two assigments for this camera . Said 5 - 7 working days. Was actually around 20 working days. Shipped directly from Hong Kong via Fedex. Reasonable communication process but only via WebChat and not always available. Sometimes took quite a few hours for a response
Scammers methinks , don’t reply to emails . Avoid like the plague . Trust pilot beginning to not be trusted either .
Just received my new Nikon Z 100-400mm F/4.5-5.6 VR S lens and I have to give the whole process five stars. I ordered via Gadgetward.co.uk on Sunday 7th August and it was delivered by FedEx on Monday 15th, spot on 5 working days! Absolutely brilliant communications and service, as well as an unbeatable price. The lens arrived in original sealed packaging, was well wrapped for transit and is all in perfect condition. Brilliant and highly recommend.
OK, I have to confess I run into some anxiety after paying 2K worth of product. but at the end it all arrived as promised and everything was as it should have been. It took some time though. obviously these are grey impost products. therefore customs can take time. Correspondence was hit and miss. at time I got a fast response, at time radio silence for a a few days too many. This is certainly something that the company should improve upon. I dealt with Himmi, who was helpful and at the end we managed to sort the order. The fact that on the uk website the verified business logo has a broken link does not help you to trust them. The issue I run into was that they promised a 7-10 working days dispatch, whereas in reality it took more than 20. But at the end I got the products and everything was fine. I think to improve they should: link the telephone number to someone who actually picks up the phone, sort the verified business logo link, improve communication and set better expectations on delivery times.
Ordered a Sony A7CII kit on 12th June. Took 3 weeks for the camera to be delivered due to warehouse issues. But has been well compensated by the company. And to be fair, the £500 saving (product sold are parallel imports) compared to the high street price is worth the wait for me.
I was after a Canon R7. The price offered by GadgetWard was 2/3 of UK prices. There were already a lot of reassuring comments on Trustpilot and the availability of PayPay meant that I was confident enough to make an order. However there was no news for a couple of weeks so I started to get a little nervous. I emailed some questions and got prompt and sensible answers. When the camera arrived I appreciated the care taken with the packing. I was very happy to see that the maker’s seal was intact and even more happy to find a camera with a UK serial number and a firmware number that showed that the camera was made in the last year or so. I feel confident now that they would handle any issues I might have with the camera during the warranty period in a professional manner and would be very happy to use their service again.
Wished I'd read the earlier reviews before attempting to buy a Sony Xperia 1 V 512 GB mobile phone from this company. They have a call handler in Manchester, who initally said I'd be getting the item in a week, from their warehouse in Bristol, as others have described. When the time came and went, the story changed to delivery from warehouse in Hong Kong, and via air freight no less. ETA in < 1 week, and 3% refund by way of apology. That was another fib, because 2 weeks later, still nothing. By this time, the same call handler had run out of excuses. Said he'd checked the warehouse inventory and email me right away. No email came. This was now almost 1 month since I made the order online, and I had become concerned about the financial viability of their outfit, cos you hear stories about firms that are bankrupt but which are still trading online. And GadgetWard UK is not registered with Companies House. Very fortunately, my demand for a refund was honoured. But an utter waste of time! I have never written reviews for Trustpilot before, but feel compelled to sound a warning here. Like others before me, you will almost certainly have to wait for and chase repeatedly for your purchases from this firm. That's if they actually have it in stock.
bought several items from them at very good prices: although the delivery times are slow (it might take weeks to get your order), their customer service is excellent; very fast communication using the live chat and I had no problems. I had to pay customs fees when the orders came in to the UK but gadgetward re-imbursed after I sent them the receipts and the funds came through within days.
Order tracking was efficient and provided real-time updates. Trustworthy and reliable tracking information made me feel secure. The process was seamless, giving me peace of mind. Highly recommended for those who value transparency in online shopping.
At first I was skeptical of gadgetward because of other reviews I had seen, but because of the price difference being so large that I could buy a lens as well as my camera and it still total less then just the camera I decided to take the punt. I ordered it on my credit card to be covered and waited nervously (Almost £3000 order!).However the support they offered was amazing, I was waiting about 3 weeks for the order to arrive but I had expected this from reviews I saw, and it was definitely worth it! I think a lot of these negative reviews are just because people are both impatient and told it will arrive sooner on the order page. The camera and lens arrived in good condition and gadgetward even paid for the VAT and fees to ship it to me so no extra costs. It’s a no brainer to order from them with the prices they offer, just be patient on your order and support will be there if you need them! It was a great experience overall and will definitely be ordering from them again!
Ordered a Mi 11 Ultra, after a day or so they emailed to tell me there is a delay in 3 weeks for delivery as opposed to advertised. They gave me some options an ultimately I went for a cancellation - ok shame about the delay, but I cannot fault their comms and service etc. Will be happy to go back to them in future.
I ordered a Sony FX3 on September 24th. I received an email on October 16th stating that my "order is on it's way.". Here are some email exchanges with GadgetWard:GadgetWard 30th September: "Accordingly, your order is expected to ship between 10-15th October and delivered in 2-3 business days thereafter. Kindly note, we may need additional time to ship this order."GadgetWard 15th October: "Currently, your order is expected to ship by the evening of October 22nd or anytime during that week."GadgetWard 18th October: "I would like to inform you your order has been processed through Royal Mail but has not yet shipped. We expect the tracking information to be live within 4-5 business days. Once the tracking is live, your order will be delivered by 1 PM the next business day."GadgetWard 23rd October: "I would like to inform you that as per our last conversation occurred on October 18th, during which I mentioned that the tracking would be live within 4-5 business days from that date. Business days do not include weekends or public holidays. Accordingly, your order will be handed over to Royal Mail by the evening of October 25th and tracking is expected to be live then."GadgetWard 25th October: "I would like to inform you that your order is scheduled to ship either tonight or by Monday night (28th) at the latest."Still nothing as of 30/10/2024, 5 weeks after order date or 26 working days. I have a Royal Mail tracking number but on RM's website, it simply says "We're expecting it". I don't mind waiting long periods of time for an item at such a competitive price; I just wish GadgetWard would be transparent and realistic about their delivery time/stock/cashflow. Will keep this post updated.
The short version: like many other reviews here, I did get my item in the end, but the delivery time and communication were disappointing.Ordered a new Canon EOS kit on August 24. Confirmation email stated that it would be delivered within 7-10 business days (i.e., Sep 3-6).I was expecting a notification when the item was shipped and hadn't seen one by Sep 4, so emailed support; received a quick reply (to their credit) telling me it would be shipped by Friday night (i.e., not even shipped until after the end of the expected delivery period).Friday came, no notification.Over 2 weeks later on Sep 23 I emailed again asking for an update. Was told it would be shipped by Thursday that week (Sep 26) and delivered by the Saturday. Item was eventually delivered on Sep 26, 23 business days after placing the order.Today I received a followup up email asking me to share my feedback, so here it is I guess! If I had my time again, I would not order from this company.
Absolutely do NOT 'ignore the hate' as one reviewer put it, all reviews are based on personal experience and negative experiences are valuable. I ordered a Samsung phone for £378 which failed to be delivered. They sent me a Royal Mail tracking number which never progressed beyond 'Sender preparing item'. They did reply to some of my queries but in retrospect they were just fobbing me off, and they have since stopped replying. It's fairly clear they are selling items that they don't have in stock, it's just a scam. I opened a case with PayPal and finally, about 6 weeks after placing the order and it not turning up, PayPal issued a full refund.
Found and ordered the handset I wanted on a Monday (London UK), arrived via FedEx from Hong Kong by Thursday morning so a very speedy service indeed. The value was great considering it was just over £100 cheaper than other online retailers. The only reason it loses a star is that you have to know exactly what you want before buying because from reading the terms you cannot simply return if you change your mind as postage is not free and you can only return if there is definitely a factory/ manufacturer fault with the item itself. I definitely would use this site again but probably not for buying a gift or if I wasn't sure about which product I wanted. Otherwise great service and choice of tech.

Top 5 Effective Ways To Spot a Scam Website [VIDEO]

There are many types of fake sites in the online world. We have some good news. Watch the video below to see the 5 effective ways you can spot a fraudulent website in 2024:

How To Remove Your Information From the Internet

Whether you like it or not, unfortunately, the Internet has all your personal information stored. How did that happen? Every time you visit a simple site and accept cookies, consent to their forms, or download an app, unscrupulous data brokers collect not just your phone number, name, AND address. They also sell this to third parties, which creates a $1 billion industry a year. Your collected personal data is used by buyers to send you never-ending spam emails, targeted ads, and, of course, telemarketing calls. Crooks use all your data without remorse.

We can help. Many people have asked us about how to remove your personal information from the Internet. If you want your data deleted entirely from the online world, contact our official partners at Incogni immediately. This legitimate data privacy tool works on your behalf to officially require a ton of online brokers to remove your data.

Our staff verifies that this service works and is trustworthy. For robust, essential protection, their Standard plan is a steal at just $8.29 for individuals, and you can extend that crucial peace of mind to your entire household with the Family plan (up to 5 users) for only $16.49. They also introduced the Unlimited plan starting from $14.99 that covers not only automatic data removals, but also unlimited custom removals available right away upon purchasing the Unlimited plan. It allows users to submit websites not yet covered by Incogni and get their data removed from there, too. They also offer a free exposure scanner that will give you an insight into what data of yours is exposed and where.
