Is frogtape.co.uk Legit?

Absolute garbage. It doesn’t deserve 1 star. Can’t believe this is sold as a solution to painting clean lines. It does that alright but be prepared for a big repair job of filling, sanding and repainting the numerous areas of pulled paint and plaster. Gone back to cheap old masking tape at a fraction of the cost. It’s not perfect but still a million times better than this.

Your tape sucks! ALWAYS PULLS UP THE PAINT from where you've stuck the tape to! It doesn't matter which bloody colour people use before you come back and say "try this colour tape for this stage of painting!"I'm so annoyed that I have spent hours decorating my stairs getting ready for new carpet to be laid and now I have to go back and sand and repaint all of my white woodwork! I have a video, should you like to see your tapes handiwork!

An absolute waste of money. After using cheaper masking tape that would partly refuse to adhere and partly tear off paint, this came recommended as the solution. It did EXACTLY THE SAME THING in the space of a single strip. Being placed on a newly painted surface that had been given days to cure, and which had no surface dust or residues. This behaves identically to unbranded tape bought in a pound shop. Ruined my paintwork and now I have a roll of tape that's good for nothing.

Wish I had read these reviews beforehand. It was OK in some areas even though it was the same paint. Looks like I'll be touching up paint some areas next weekend. Note, no problems with the green version, that's a great product.

Best thing ever. Will never use cheap tape as I call it again! I am not a decorator by any means but results look professional ie where skirting joins wall. Great masking carpet too. Do not understand why others not getting on with it?

This tape, after reading and looking in a store for the right one to use on delicate, new painted walls, so I went with the ball crap a company does and feeds lies and false information to sell a product. Absolute sh@£e! this does not work, it does not do what it says and have now wasted more time, more money. I work in merchandising, this wouldn’t be a company I’d waste my time for to help sell a money making scam.

Slightly more expensive than the old blue tape but in my opinion slightly better performance,less bleed and even though it has a mid tackiness it holds firm without causing paint peel.Perfect straight lines every time,great for detailing work.Highly recommend

Worst product going!! Purchased to give clean lines and edges, yet it rips majority of the paint off with it when removed…… and it’s not fussy weather it’s the wall it’s stuck too or the intended clean line your trying to achieve!! It’s done both meaning I’ve now got to sand down the walls and do it all again by hand

Its rubbish use ordinary masking tape instead. it pulled the old emulsion and the new off down to the plastrer. Now having to sand and cut in. Very dissapointed. I will never buy again. I followed the instructions and as had to let first coat dry cut paint with Stanley knife.

I should know better! I’ve been burnt by frog tape before but I thought I would give it another go and again it’s pulled all my freshly painted wall off when removing the tape even when lightly applied and removed immediately after second coat!

Have to agree with most on here. I applied it to a newly painted surface which had been totally dry for at least 5 days. Applied it lightly and thought I'd test a bit first by placing it on wall then immediately peeling off. Despite saying its for painted surfaces it pulled the paint off the wall. So now we are left with a repair job. Completely rubbish product, wouldn't t use again.

Awful tape, we did everything advised applying it to paint that was already 24hrs plus dry but it ripped it all when we peeled it off absolute rubbish now have to repaint free hand. Waste of money and time so disappointed wish I had of read these reviews before we bough and used this tape!!!

Bought the more expensive yellow "delicate surface" tape to mask an emulsioned wall prior to painting rails, frames, skirting. Did the test on a smaller area - perfect! Masked up, painted a larger area, removed as advised - it took off most of the paint underneath leaving me a big repair job. Crap!! If you can't trust the test what do you do. Clearly you can't test it all - that wouldn't be a test that'd be doing the job!! Ironically this is the first time I've ever used FrogTape and, even more annoyingly, the first time I've ever masked to paint rails, frames etc, relying instead on a good brush, care and patience. Never again!!

If I could give less that 1 star I would . Absolutely sh** Followed all instructions-ended up sanding and re painting the damage frog tape did . Don’t bother with this stuff -waste of time and money

I have to agree with most of the other reviewers, I bought this as normal masking tape usually tears. This is supposed to be for delicate surfaces yet has far too much adhesion. A complete waste of money. If you want true low tack tape use Tamiya, expensive but so much better.

Horrendous tape. I bought the delicate surface tape after years of using normal Masking tape, thinking I was making a wise investment on a job that I wanted as perfect as possible. It stuck to the surface so hard, it was impossible to remove without it peeling the paint off, very frustrating and an expensive redo. Avoid at all costs. You are much better off de-tacking normal Masking tape on your trousers before application and you will not have this problem

Please don't waste your money on this green frog tape ... it does not come off never mind leaving a residue it takes off the paint its protecting ...it is expensive compared to other tapes but it is totally useless.I have was painting my sons wardrobe edges white ( which had been replaced and were unpainted) We had painted his wall grey so I placed the tape on the wall to protect it (it was not left on too long according to the manufacures own guidance ) when I finished I removed the tape as carefully as possible ( i have pictures but I can't download them) it just took off great swathes of grey paint... This product should be on the market it's not fit for purpose.

I used the yellow low tack on a wall that had been painted over a year ago, I wanted to repaint the wood door frame and architrave 1 x undercoat 1 x top coat 3 days later took the tape off and it has taken lots of paint off of the wall, WHAT A LOAD OF EXPENSIVE CRAP. I emailed the company they never even responded to my email. Thanks a bunch Frog tape. if you want my opinion stick to masking tape its a lot cheaper and works better.

Do not buy, literally peeled off my ceiling paint when removing the tape. Normal masking tape works so much better, I only brought as I had run out and thought I would use the ‘professional stuff’ big mistake.

This product does not do what it says, it just ruins your room, DO NOT BUY!!! The yellow 'LOW TACK' tape has completely took the emulsion from my wall down to bare plaster, this room had a PVA wash coat, a full white coat, then finally 2 coats of Little Greene Intelligent Eggshell Emulsion at £59.50 per tin and its a JOKE! After 3 emails directly to Frog Tape UK they still will not reply... Product = RUBBISH, Customer Service = TERRIBLE!
