Is friluftsland.dk Legit?

My friend who was visiting me bought a few items at the Copenhagen store. However the clerk forgot to remove one of the alarms, and the alarm somehow did not sound when she passed through the security gate. When we got back home and realized the problem we called to store to ask for their help. The first person who answered the phone was unfortunately not helpful at all. And said that the only way to solve the problem was to take the bag to your store. The problem was that my friend was going to fly back home the next day. The clerk who answered the phone just said that there was nothing they could do to help. We were very disappointed and angry because this was a mistake at the store and this person did not acknowledge the problem in any way and didn't even apologize for the inconvenience the store has caused. After some thinking, we decided to call back again. This time another person answered and with a different approach. I got to know his name is Niels. He first apologized and took ownership of the problem even though it was not he who made the mistake in the beginning. Then he actively called a store in Sweden with the same brand and asked them to help us remove the alarm if we came into the store. On top of that, he actively fed back our problem to his manager, and we also got a refund on the bag. His kindness, patience, and service spirit made us trust and like your store brand more, and I believe that having staff like Niels can help stores build good reputations and enlist trust with customers. We are very grateful for Niels' effort and this kind of service needs to be praised and rewarded! Thank you for doing your utmost best to support a customer!

Deceptive pricesOnline they have a price for certain climbing shoe with 30% off. Yay! That is what is says looking at the shoe on the website and when you click on the shoe to look further at it. Then you go in to the shop to try it out only to find out that it is specifically only for size 47! All the other sizes are full price! This is a disgusting way to treat customers, and I will not go there again.

I went yesterday to buy a pair of hiking pants. When paying I asked if they were under discount as the whole shop is filled with 60% signs. They told me “no”. I bought the pants, went back home and checked their website, the item was 25% discounted (on a different color) and on the whole brand there was 10% discount. I had to go back again, return my pants, buy another one and have them apply the discount this time. Nice shop, but will go back there just to try a garment and then will order it online.

The people in charge of packaging and delivery must be some smart people. They decide that sending packages in carton boxes is a bad idea so they decide to use paper bags instead. What can go wrong ?First attempt the paper bag is completly destroyed and silvan did not accept the package and it gets sent back. I get no notification that this happened and I go to pick up my package which is not there. Upon calling them, it seems that my money has already been returned, but again, no notification.Second attempt the package is again delivered in a paper bag that is half opened upon pick up, no doubt by the good people of GLS, maybe hoping for something to steal. Gladly that didn’t happen, but the problem is still there, packages delivered in paper bags are very fragile, but the smart people at friluftlands know better. Cut the costs of boxes and replace with paper bags of course… no brainer.Thank you for an amazing experience.

After a complaint we did never get a feedback and also no new Patagonia Sweater - 130 EUR lost! We reminded several times, but no answer until now.

Quick delivery. Easy return. Money is back in an hour (I returned it in their customer service). I had to return the item because I need a bigger size.

Online shops works just perfectly and super fast. Very nice staff at Fields. I came for refund (brand issue) and guys helped me right away. 💪

The customer service was great very professional. Had my package sent to the wrong pick up place but they fixed it immediately. I picked the package up by Nørreport station at their store and there was a sour looking older man, he didnt look interested in his customers, no smile, looked like he didnt want to be there. His customer skills were none existing. I would have given four stars but he made the whole experience SUCK....

Bought an expense Arc'teryx jacket a few years ago. Was given specific instructions on care - which of course is to buy expensive jacket washing products that Friluftsland happens to sell. I've dutifully treated the jacket with this product for the time I'had the jacket. Fast-forward 2,5 years and the jacket starts to come apart in the laminated seams. Friluftsland declined any sort of help because it is out of warranty. Which is perfectly legal but I was a little disappointed.I eventually sent the jacket directly to Arc'teryx which was a much more positive experience but here I also learned that that specific treatment product is expressly _not recommended_ by Arc'teryx. Well, that's one way to increase the turnover of otherwise long-lasting equipment.

Easy ordering process, quick shipping and delivery. All you want from an online shop. For those interested in sustainability:I like that my order did not contain extra plastic and that the packaging was made with recycled content, well done. A next step could be to find out how to reduce the shipment size (e.g. different folding techniques) or investigate in reusable packaging like RePack.

Unfortunately I cannot reply to the answer given to my original complaint, so I'll quote it here to highlight why you shouldn't use this dishonest company:"Det fanns flera kunder som beställt varor som omfattas av felet, och alla, inklusive dig, har fått detaljerade svar och förklaring av detta elände. Vi tycker att det är bra service när ett köp blivit avbrutet på grund av ett uppenbart tekniskt fel."Sounds good, only it wasn't a rebate of 80%, or 0 kr, it was close to 100€ perItem, nor wasn't an obvious mistake, as companies often use serious price cuts on chosen goods to attract customers, and Friluftsland.se effectively didn't offer any rebate at all, because the 20% they offered wouldn't bring the prices on the products down to what others are offering them for without rebate. In total then, crap service, dishonest arguments and complete disregard for their customers - hardly any surprise you get hundreds of complaints.

I ordered two products and the delivery was fast, not too long, and I could follow my delivery all the way with SMS-notification. The products I received had the same look as the website was showing. Though, when I got my jacket, the pricetag on the jacket was showing a price that were 200 SEK lower than the price on the website, so the price information was not correct.

I am really glad in having found this website. With a wide range of products, it is very easy to find a good product.

Ordered at 12.20, delivered tomy local GLS pakkeshop at 10.30 the next day. Couldn't be better.
