Is fribikeshop.dk Legit?

I went to the shop because my bike had a flat tire, and I couldn’t fix it myself.They told me they’d sorted it out and charged me 125 DKK. But as soon as I got the bike back, I noticed the gears weren’t working anymore, so I had to go straight back to them.The next day, I realized the tire was still flat, which made me miss an important meeting. When I went back to the shop, they claimed it wasn’t their fault. Apparently, instead of replacing the inner tube, they decided (without even asking me!) to just patch the hole—on an old tire! Unsurprisingly, the patch didn’t hold.They charged me another 300 DKK to fix it properly this time, with no discount or even an apology for all the trouble they caused. I can’t help but feel like they took advantage of me—probably just saw a young foreign woman on her own and thought they could scam me. I’m definitely never going back there.Edit: You replied to my review and said I’d be getting a refund. But you didn’t include any email or way to contact you so that I can actually get my money back. Is this just some kind of marketing trick?

I was today here in vallensbæk strand fri bike shop the old guy on the counter was the most helping person as i don't know the Danish langauge he communicated well in English and was very helping , i found all the things in here , they are really good shop

Friendly staff, reasonable prices, quick delivery.

Competitive prices, but unfortunately it is not always possible to ship items, even if the total amount is more than the one for the "free shipping", not even possible to get the shipping from a store to an other store (they have a very big network of shops!). After all we were able to find what we need and but it wasn't very easy. People in the shops were kind and nice. :-)

The level of expertise August Beck possessed was beyond my expectations. As a newcomer in DK, it was extremely important to find a bike with great quality. He quickly understood my needs and offered me multiple choices of bikes, which made me feel safe of my final decision.Definitely recommended!

We rented a bike on fano (nordby). After 8km we had a flat tire. When we rented the bike the tire was already a bit soft, should never had accepted that, but trusted the rental Guy. Flat after 8 km. Called the shop. No solution at all. We don’t have a car ( the shop told us). So we can’t help you. You can’t leave the bike and lock it and take a bus. You just have to walk back with the bike (8km, 2 Hours), in the sun ( it was over 25 Celsius). If you dont bring the bike back in time, we will charge you. When we made a compliant the guy at the shop said he could charge us for the costs of making the tire. Very very rude treatment by the shop owner. Service is 0. Don’t rent at fribikeshop Norby!! It will spoil your day at beautiful Fano.

I purchased the bike via an online store and picked it up in a stationary store, the entire purchase took me 5 minutes. The next day, a person from the Esbjerg store contacted me and congratulated me on the purchase and made sure I had chosen the right frame. It was a very nice experience. When the bike was ready for collection, I received a text message and I could enjoy my new bike.

Was on vacation in the area, and found that my road bike was damaged during the transport. I was absolutely delighted with the service I got there - while the bike could not be repaired fully with what was on stock, they made it work again so that I could enjoy some great spins while on vacation. If I lived in Esbjerg, THIS would be my favorite bike shop. Clear recommendation and all thumbs up!!

This week has been a great one because I was at Fri Bike shop in Vanløse, and got help to find my new bicycle. Christoffer that ask me relevant question to guide me on the right path is a great salesman that put the costumer in the first room. Just pure happiness when I today bicycle from your store with my new Batavus. Looking forward to buy more bikes to my whole family at Vanløse.

Staff at the store are always incredibly friendly and helpful. Willing to answer any questions and share their expert opinions, looking to aid you in finding the best cycle for your needs, and not just trying to sell expensive models.

From the moment I stepped into their shop I knew I’m in the right place!First I want to say many thanks to Fri BikeShop for their implication in helping me find the perfect bike. Got a broken axle on a child bike because of the child carrier. They got it fixed within a day so we could continue our bike trip. That is impressive as they needed to customize a standard axle so that it fitted. Very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable!

The below is a copy of an email sent to the customer service of Fri BikeShop two weeks ago.So far, I have not heard from them.Breach of contract is a very serious offense and it seems they just prefer to turn a blind eye.So according to my experience, refrain from getting into this shop and do not get misled by the good reviews on trustpilot, they cannot be real, I tend to believe that they are just bought.Hello Fri BikeShop Kunderservice,My name is Alberto Climent with address in XXXXXXXXXXX 2800 Kongens Lyngby and I bought a second-hand Batavus Finez Power Exclusive in October 2022. The bike was bought, as new, a few months before, on 24 May 2022 as indicated in the invoice attached from Fri BikeShop Vanløse.The owner of the bike bought as well the service Fri BikeSmart and he told me that I could use it for the rest of the contract since it was attached to the bike and not the owner. At that time I called Fri BikeShop in Vanløse and they told me that I could pass by the shop and they will conduct the regular service to the bike.I drove today with the bike to Fri BikeShop Vanløse with the intention of having the service conducted and to have a look at the rust in the front fork and brake disks and other components with the aim of getting it repaired or the fork changed. The employees told me that they could take care of the service and of the rust, since the rust on the fork was a known issue on the Batavus bikes, but they offered me the possibility of using another Fri BikeShop which was closer to my address; this is the one in Lyngby, Klampenborgvej.Therefore I took the bike to the Fri BikeShop in Lyngby, but the following happened:• An employee called Thomas told me that Fri BikeShop Lyngby could not take over the Fri BikeService contract from Vanløse Shop since the bike had “remtræk” and that I had to take the bike back to Vanløse. I could not understand this since Lyngby also sell bikes like mine at that shop.• Then I told Thomas that they could take care of the front fork rust and he claimed that the rust in the front fork was due to a bad maintenance and that they could not do anything about it. As you can see in the pictures attached, the bike is in perfect condition, it is stored in my closed store room and the rust is clearly located in the fork and the brake disks, whereas the rest of the metal component of the bike were without any sight of rust. He told me all this from a distance of 2 meters; he did not get closer to the bike to get a closer detail.• Then I asked Thomas why the rest of the metallic components of the bike did not have any rust and he responded that that was because tools were used on those parts and therefore these removed the rust (I could not believe this reasoning)• I was shocked by Thomas´ behaviour. He did not seem at all interested in continuing the conversation with me.• I asked Thomas to introduce me to the manager of the shop and his reply was that he was not available at the moment.• The attitude of Thomas, at the Lyngby Shop, was not at the level of what I was expecting when he did not even got closer to the bike to look at the rust and he did not even show interest in looking at the rust in the brake disks.• The situation was very uncomfortable to me and I had the impression that he just wanted me to leave the shop. Therefore I left.• It is my understanding that Batavus has a 2 year guaranty for rust as per their website. I would like to hear from Fri BikeShop Customer Service regarding the above with an explanation about why Lyngby could not take over the service contract from Vanløse, why Lyngby rejected to cover the service of the contract, why Lyngby is not covering Batavus rust guaranty and why the employee called Thomas acted on this unprofessional way with an absolute lack of a minimum understanding of customer service and an unappropriated arrogance for a Fri BikeShop employee.I look forward to hearing from you.Best regards,Alberto
