I came across the Freedom Club on Instagram back in May, where they advertised the promise of financial freedom, making it sound attainable for anyone. Intrigued by the concept, I decided to explore further. I set up an online meeting through Maria, which led to a chat with Alex, who was in Bali at the time.During our conversation, Alex seemed more interested in why I clicked the link rather than providing clear information about the business model. I expressed my unfamiliarity with the concept, and he shared a two-minute promotional video that left me even more confused. Despite my hesitancy and the lack of clear direction, Alex quickly suggested that I was an ideal candidate to start—provided I could transfer $3,000 to get started.As a single mother of three working full-time, I explained that my time and resources were limited. However, Alex continued to push for the immediate payment, and I felt pressured into agreeing to pay a $200 deposit just to end the conversation. At no point was it communicated that this deposit was non-refundable.After reflecting, I realised that the commitment required was not aligned with my lifestyle, and I was not passionate about the opportunity. I decided against pursuing this further. Despite being clear with Alex that this was not the right direction for me, he persisted, wanting to reconnect and pressuring me to commit the full $3,000. When I asked for examples of successful single mothers with similar lifestyles, the only examples provided were young men or women who did not match my situation.When I requested a refund of my $200 deposit, Alex stopped responding altogether. This experience has left me feeling frustrated and taken advantage of, as $200 is a significant amount that I could have used to support my family. I would advise others to approach the Freedom Club with caution. My experience has been disappointing, and I believe the promises they make are misleading. The high-pressure tactics and lack of transparency are red flags that suggest this may not be the opportunity they claim it to be.
I've loved my experience with Freedom, how much I have learnt and continue to learn. The success I am seeing with my store still fills me with pride, excitement, amazement and disbelief. I can't believe it's really happening, I am well on my way to financial freedom.
