freebox.fr Review

The Scam Detector website Validator gives freebox.fr a low-to-medium trust score on the platform: 49.5. It signals that the business could be defined by the following tags: Doubtful. Medium-Risk. Alert.. We are confident about our score as we also partner with other high-tech, fraud-prevention companies that found the same issues. So, why this low score? We came up with the 49.5 score based on 53 aggregated factors relevant to freebox.fr's industry. The algorithm detected potential high-risk activity related to phishing, spamming, and other factors noted in the Doubtful. Medium-Risk. Alert. tags above. Long story short, we caution you about using this website. But let's explain in more detail.

Explaining Our Analytical Approach

We've displayed some important information within the Company Details section above, each deserving more explanation:

  • Proximity to Suspicious Websites
  • Threat Profile
  • Phishing Profile
  • Malware Score
  • Spam Score
  • Domain Blacklist Status
  • HTTPS connection
  • Domain Creation Date

While some are self-explanatory concerning freebox.fr, let's dive deeper into the remaining ones.

Proximity to Potentially Harmful Websites

This metric gauges the connection, scored on a scale of 1 to 100, between freebox.fr and websites marked as suspicious. Elevated scores point to a stronger link with these questionable online destinations. It's worth noting that website owners might not always be aware of their site's proximity to these dubious platforms or servers. However, a "Proximity to Suspicious Websites" score surpassing 80 strongly indicates a high-risk website, while a score below 30 signifies a less-threatening site.

Risk Factors: Threat, Phishing, Malware, and Spam

These indicators reveal the vulnerabilities and elements embedded within the HTML code of freebox.fr. They become especially pertinent if the website has received reports from internet users who've encountered unsolicited emails, ads, or messages related to the site. In the context of freebox.fr, our investigation continues working to pinpoint the specific category, but we welcome your insights in the comments below. A high Malware score generally implies the presence of suspicious code that might be unknowingly disseminated. Conversely, a high Spam score hints at a possibly spam-ridden email address associated with the business. Scores under 30 in both categories are reassuring, but any score surpassing this threshold should raise concerns. freebox.fr is a suspect website, given all the risk factors and data numbers analyzed in this in-depth review. Share your experience in the comments.

Domain Blacklisting Status

This term indicates whether freebox.fr has landed on any online directories' blacklists and earned a suspicious tag.

Assessing HTTPS Connectivity

This section provides insight into whether freebox.fr boasts an 's' at the end of the 'HTTP' protocol listed in your browser's address bar. If the tab displays in green, consider it a positive sign.

Safe Check

We want our trust scores and reviews to be as accurate as possible so that you can protect yourself from online fraud. Our algorithm aggregates factors that efficiently analyze a company's website, in this case, freebox.fr.

This is yet another company that once it has access to your bank account does not want to relinquish that access. My phone and internet was about three months out of contract when I cancelled the subscription on the site. There was no response or acknowledgement, then next thing that I know is that Free is trying to take money from my bank account. I then cancelled by email still no response or acknowledgement. Free cannot find time to respond but have no problem trying to take your money.I then sent a registered letter cancelling and included the French equivalent of a subject access request. It is a legal requirement for Free to respond. Did Free respond like they are legally rewuired to do, well that’s a definite NO. I am of the impression that Free like many corporations believe that they do not have to adhere to the law.So Free you now have the opportunity to explain here on a public forum why you feel that you do not have to obey laws and what gives you the right to continue to take money from an account after cancellation
I ordered two mobile lines for use in Bordeaux. It is possible that there are some areas where this works, but while phone worked, data was non-existent in the Chartrons area. Bouygues was a much better experience for setting up and data speed is fantastic.
Free telephone answering system was quick and a lady technical support was appointed to assist me rapidly. She understood my technical issue ( I.e. no internet connection due to external lost of fiber contacts ) quickly and reassured me appropriate actions would be taken soon 👌Sure enough, within 2 hours the internet connections came back 👍 Thank you. Let’s hope it does not come back when another neighboring house has their fibre optique set up …
Staying in France for a year and wanted a phone plan. Tried other providers without success as don't have a French bank account. Tried B&you (Bougyues online), SIM cards never received and terrible instore service. Walked into Free store (Perpignan), with low expectations but we were met with excellent customer service and a quick and easy process. So far good phone service and zero complaints. Thanks Free!
Initially my Free phone forfait worked very well. Then Free 'improved' the service with a huge GO provision that I absolutely did not need and I wonder who might need so many gigabits only for Free to bump up the monthly cost by 30%. No option to stay at a lower Gigabit/GO offer. So I am now paying much more for something I really don't need. Am looking at how to move to a different provider.
I'm since very long time free client and was in the past often impressed by their attempt to do better than the big players. Now that they are a big player at their own they are hell like all the others. A big computer for more and more attemps and a visible insufficent investment in software and haptic (e.g. you turn only in a circle) By my last experiences (add a mobile contract to my internet contract, simple, eh? didn't work at all) with all instances of free verybody is nice, nobody is of help. Solve it at your own we have no explanation why the system doesn't work we can't verify that. A pitty.
I signed up for Free mobile AND wifi so have experience of both. I was expecting terrible service because... France. For only the 2nd time in my 14 years in France, I experienced customer service approaching perfect. This is the kind of service you get in Anglo countries. Free now has actual humans located *in your home arrondissement* who literally call you up and are nice to you. If you log a problem, they respond within 5 minutes. It's crazy. They send a technician to your home as many times as it takes (and let me tell you, I made it hard for them due to a million things I did badly wrong) and that was all for free and handled with saintly patience and good humour. I am seriously shocked and impressed. Whatever corporate culture business strategy thing these guys are following, it's working.
Freebox Delta avec player POP : livraison très rapide et installation de la box et du player super facile. On peut enfin profiter d'une excellente qualité technique (TV, wifi, ...). Merci.
I`m using 8.99 euro package, and in general I`m completely satisfied with Internet speed and Voice calls. Yeah, sometimes I see 3G instead of 4G on my phone, but all other is ok.I`m a Free Mobile user for 10 months
Wifi keeps cutting several times a day every day. Every time I call it’s minimum 10 minutes waiting time on a chargeable number, no matter what day or time I call. Technicians are overly polite and give suggestions that don’t help, each time a different diagnosis. Last update was a supposed problem with synchronization in my whole area as other complaints received. Was supposed to be called back to arrange the visit of a technician on site but never was. Am on hold again for minimum 10 minutes.
Worst customer expierence i ever had. No way of changing my contract via customer portal. Customer success could do nothing. When searching for the error message it appears to be a rather common issue that has been posted for years. End of the story is that I purchased a sim card that I could use exactly for a month. What a waste of money and time.
Since some weeks no signal when I am outside France.Contacted support via Chat, which went relative easy. But they did not come up with a solution. We are with them for years and things went well. Also they send out emails but if you present them with your problem via email you do not get an answer.Update, today I had a chat again and had someone who knew his/her stuff. So problem is fixed.
Excellence service at home....just a pain that it took two weeks for someone to come. Was without internet and a tv during the whole time.
I have been a customer Chez Free for 12 years, when all is good, it's a good service for a good price. When you have problems, you can go "flock" yourself. I have had 3-5 big problems, over 12 years. Now, 12 calls to Customer Service, all cut off, pretending I was calling outside customer service hours. 13th call, very nice lady, yes, yes, yes, all our company will fix this, asap. That was 24 hrs ago.Meanwhile, I had to pay €65, chez SFR for a 1 month, slow Hotspot, good for 2-3 windows open & no TV or proper Phone access.Free didn't even offer me an option to be robbed blind by them, whilst also paying their abonnement en meme temps. As soon as possible, I will be leaving Free, there are many cheaper & better offers available;Flock Free & Flock Zavier Niel, Vampire Thief.Shame, shame, shame.Donal B
I subscribed to Free's ultra fiber service, and while waiting for the fiber connection, I added pocket WiFi to my subscription. To my surprise, the pocket WiFi arrived only two days before the fiber installation, despite paying extra for it, resulting in just two days of use. Moreover, the device was defective and did not work properly. When I called customer service, the representative said he would check the issue and asked me to wait a minute. I waited for 15 minutes on the phone, only for him to hang up after thanking me for my patience. I strongly advise against this operator because it is nothing but a scam and their customer service is terrible.
Asked for receipt promptly told I can't have one ....the machine isn't working. Clearly a liar. And should have notified me before purchase.
Non-existent Customer Service.Everything about this company is fun and games until you run into some problem. Then they will show you true colors. Being in service sector they refuse to speak English. So if you are a foreigner with no knowledge of French then customer service does not exist for you. Real problem starts when you stop their service. There is no coordination. I am getting emails about returning their equipment even after I returned their equipment.
Free's “service” sucks! Internet failure in one of fiber optic distribution boxes; failure occurred June 5, 2024; Free does not have time until June 15! Truly a hopeless provider.Who will pay my damages (tenant claimed costs due to lack of Internet, television and inability to use Internet-enabled devices)? Free?
Peu d’attente quand on appelle le service client. A l’écoute, bonnes explications.
I've lived in France for 10 years, I had orange at my previous place had 0 issues, I use bouguees for my cell phone 0 issues, my new place I thought I'd try free, terrible decision, they're internet crashes so often I may aswell just use my boyguees data 24/7 because free is forever got issues, there customer service is more interested trying to get you to buy an iPhone than actually fix the freebox issues.

Top 5 Effective Ways To Spot a Scam Website [VIDEO]

There are many types of fake sites in the online world. We have some good news. Watch the video below to see the 5 effective ways you can spot a fraudulent website in 2024:

How To Remove Your Information From the Internet

Whether you like it or not, unfortunately, the Internet has all your personal information stored. How did that happen? Every time you visit a simple site and accept cookies, consent to their forms, or download an app, unscrupulous data brokers collect not just your phone number, name, AND address. They also sell this to third parties, which creates a $1 billion industry a year. Your collected personal data is used by buyers to send you never-ending spam emails, targeted ads, and, of course, telemarketing calls. Crooks use all your data without remorse.

We can help. Many people have asked us about how to remove your personal information from the Internet. If you want your data deleted entirely from the online world, contact our official partners at Incogni immediately. This legitimate data privacy tool works on your behalf to officially require a ton of online brokers to remove your data.

Our staff verifies that this service works and is trustworthy. For robust, essential protection, their Standard plan is a steal at just $8.29 for individuals, and you can extend that crucial peace of mind to your entire household with the Family plan (up to 5 users) for only $16.49. They also introduced the Unlimited plan starting from $14.99 that covers not only automatic data removals, but also unlimited custom removals available right away upon purchasing the Unlimited plan. It allows users to submit websites not yet covered by Incogni and get their data removed from there, too. They also offer a free exposure scanner that will give you an insight into what data of yours is exposed and where.
