footballguys.com Review

The Scam Detector website Validator gives footballguys.com a medium trust score on the platform: 53.1. It signals that the business can best be defined by the following tags: Questionable. Minimal Doubts. Controversial.. We are confident about our score as we also partner with other high-tech, fraud-prevention companies that found the same issues. So, why this low score? We came up with the 53.1 score based on 53 aggregated factors relevant to footballguys.com's industry. The algorithm detected possible high-risk activity related to phishing, spamming, and other factors noted in the Questionable. Minimal Doubts. Controversial. tags above. Long story short, we recommend using caution when using this website. But let's explain in more detail.

Explaining Our Analytical Approach

We've displayed some important information within the Company Details section above, each deserving more explanation:

  • Proximity to Suspicious Websites
  • Threat Profile
  • Phishing Profile
  • Malware Score
  • Spam Score
  • Domain Blacklist Status
  • HTTPS connection
  • Domain Creation Date

While some are self-explanatory concerning footballguys.com, let's dive deeper into the remaining ones.

Proximity to Potentially Harmful Websites

This metric gauges the connection, scored on a scale of 1 to 100, between footballguys.com and websites marked as suspicious. Elevated scores point to a stronger link with these questionable online destinations. It's worth noting that website owners might not always be aware of their site's proximity to these dubious platforms or servers. However, a "Proximity to Suspicious Websites" score surpassing 80 strongly indicates a high-risk website, while a score below 30 signifies a less-threatening site.

Risk Factors: Threat, Phishing, Malware, and Spam

These indicators reveal the vulnerabilities and elements embedded within the HTML code of footballguys.com. They become especially pertinent if the website has received reports from internet users who've encountered unsolicited emails, ads, or messages related to the site. In the context of footballguys.com, our investigation continues working to pinpoint the specific category, but we welcome your insights in the comments below. A high Malware score generally implies the presence of suspicious code that might be unknowingly disseminated. Conversely, a high Spam score hints at a possibly spam-ridden email address associated with the business. Scores under 30 in both categories are reassuring, but any score surpassing this threshold should raise concerns. footballguys.com is a dubious website, given all the risk factors and data numbers analyzed in this in-depth review. Share your experience in the comments.

Domain Blacklisting Status

This term indicates whether footballguys.com has landed on any online directories' blacklists and earned a suspicious tag.

Assessing HTTPS Connectivity

This section provides insight into whether footballguys.com boasts an 's' at the end of the 'HTTP' protocol listed in your browser's address bar. If the tab displays in green, consider it a positive sign.

Safe Check

We want our trust scores and reviews to be as accurate as possible so that you can protect yourself from online fraud. Our algorithm aggregates factors that efficiently analyze a company's website, in this case, footballguys.com.

Online Reviews of footballguys.com

  • Sitejabber
  • Score: 2.4 stars

“Poor Management”

I can't speak to their pay content but their forum used to have good info in the Shark Pool. It's fallen off and in recent years they established a Political Forum which has multiple staff members running it in a discriminatory manor against those that don't have same views. Seeing how an owner treats a guy name Jon in there was enough for me to move on. Very disappointing to see a company let their politics lead to this kind of treatment of people.

“Below one star really, but, well read on...”

Had used this site for years and at one point is was a decent gathering of like minded individuals who liked to discuss the NFL, fantasy football and related topics. Over the last 4 years, the site has turned into a cesspool, however, with almost all of the discussion now being in the politics forum. The main individual running the site embraces far left wing viewpoints and has ran off moderators, authors and members, including paying members, who express any views differing from his own. Don't waste your time there, the place is now a joke Tip for consumers:Stay away, this is a waste of money and will simply frustrate you Products used:Forums, Rankings, online content Service Value Quality

“Poorly run, poorly managed”

It's just never been a good experience. Not worth the money. You can get the same info for free on the web. The "chat forums" are full of people who are quick to insult anything you say that's different from what they think. Service Value Quality

“Football guys has really dropped of in quality”

This fantasy football site used to be useful for the casual fan to make their fantasy football team better, but now they deleted the section where it helped you pick players for your specific team. I would say, this software is a complete waste of money, pure and simple. Do not pay for this fantasy service.

“Not worth the money...”

Used to be good, now its all automated and premium content is a joke. Im getting better info way earlier from two different free apps on my phone before i get a "premium subscriber" email on braking news from footballguys. "Money back guarantee" - lies. I have requested it and got no response. The draft cheatsheet is okay but there are many other places to get it cheaper than their subscription.

“Good site. Just about everything you might need.”

I've been a subscriber for several years. FBG covers just about every aspect of fantasy football. They have gained more focus on gambling information, which I think is unfortunate (although probably extremely helpful to those who want that info). I don't feel they emphasize dynasty league information like they should, but I realize its a business and that drives a lot of decisions. What they do offer is exhaustive, current and their forum discussions, if occasionally over-heated, are generally among people who know and care about the minutiae of NFL fantasy football. If that's what you want, there is nothing else like it. I've looked.

“Losers”

My poodle knows more than these brainiacs. We hate to see CBS is covering an important game because we know dead air will be included. You bunch of dead beats. Start covering bowling or something else nobody watches. Maybe pool or other nonsense. You losers.

“Great info on the site but hard to navigate”

I love all of the information on your site and any time I have had a question, everyone responds very quickly! Very helpful and polite staff. There is so much valuable information you offer. With that being said, it's difficult to navigate the site. Some things aren't intuitive and things could be organized better. I am not a web designer but I think it's worth having someone take a look at it. I told my husband about all the great information on your site but he too said it's too hard to find things on there. Just trying to offer constructive feedback to make this already awesome website even better!

“Used to be great, but has gone way downhill. Not worth it anymore.”

This site used to the best place on the internet for fantasy football tips, strategy and support. But that was years ago. Today it's a waste of time. In fact, it's become somewhat scary as it became a safe place for Trump supporters. One of the owners even got caught up in QAnon and was wildly posting that pizzagate was real. Apparently the other owner got him to stop posting about it, but he must have gone behind his back and posted with aliases because the site was filled with pro-Trump stuff, especially the weeks before Trump supporters attacked the Capitol and congress. If you love Trump, than this place is for you. But if you love fantasy football, don't waste your time. Tip for consumers:Be Trump positive so you don't get banned. Products used:Shark pool, free for all, PSF Service Value Quality

“Bad Fantasy Advise”

Worst on the net. Played in a league years ago with some of the staff and they wanted to take back picks in the draft and change the rules. They didnt even understand fantasy basics. Now their forums are full of liberal hate. Owner is the biggest woosay on the planet. Service Value Shipping Returns Quality

“Very poor connections to their draft dominator and rate my team - also poor IT department to correct”

I had draft on September 2nd and using Draft Dominator. It did not function properly. Also after my draft I used Rate My Team - again it did not function. Their IT department got involved and they could not correct my problems.

“I love it”

It is the best fantasy football advisory service anywhere. It is the best premium fantasy football only site on the planet. Get involve and stand a chance of winning. Your winning is guaranteed...

“Owner is Religious Fanatic”

The site is run by a religious fanatic that only will let G content on the message boards. As he says, it's his way or the highway.

“Disappointing”

Content has slipped over the years. Used to lurk some forums and there some extreme content and questionable moderation at best.

“The Football Guys Review”

Great podcast! Their analysis is always top notch, love all the stats they provide. Would highly recommend everyone watch!

“Lame Owner”

Kicked his best projection guy to the curb. More concerned with left wing politics and feel good forums than running a business Tip for consumers:Don’t. Products used:Paid content and forums. Service Value Shipping Returns Quality

Top 5 Effective Ways To Spot a Scam Website [VIDEO]

There are many types of fake sites in the online world. We have some good news. Watch the video below to see the 5 effective ways you can spot a fraudulent website in 2024:

How To Remove Your Information From the Internet

Whether you like it or not, unfortunately, the Internet has all your personal information stored. How did that happen? Every time you visit a simple site and accept cookies, consent to their forms, or download an app, unscrupulous data brokers collect not just your phone number, name, AND address. They also sell this to third parties, which creates a $1 billion industry a year. Your collected personal data is used by buyers to send you never-ending spam emails, targeted ads, and, of course, telemarketing calls. Crooks use all your data without remorse.

We can help. Many people have asked us about how to remove your personal information from the Internet. If you want your data deleted entirely from the online world, contact our official partners at Incogni immediately. This legitimate data privacy tool works on your behalf to officially require a ton of online brokers to remove your data.

Our staff verifies that this service works and is trustworthy. For robust, essential protection, their Standard plan is a steal at just $8.29 for individuals, and you can extend that crucial peace of mind to your entire household with the Family plan (up to 5 users) for only $16.49. They also introduced the Unlimited plan starting from $14.99 that covers not only automatic data removals, but also unlimited custom removals available right away upon purchasing the Unlimited plan. It allows users to submit websites not yet covered by Incogni and get their data removed from there, too. They also offer a free exposure scanner that will give you an insight into what data of yours is exposed and where.

How To Protect Your Online Browsing From Installing Malware

We have two more powerful fraud prevention tools that you should know about. We've been asked over and over again about the most effective ways to stay safe online. After testing several fraud prevention products online, we could certainly say the winner is a browser extension called Guardio. It automatically blocks 100x more harmful websites than competitors and 10x more malicious downloads than any other security tool. It was tested and vetted by our Scam Detector team.

Guardio has over a million users, and while it is already affordable for the benefits it provides (just a few dollars a month), it covers up to 5 family members. For Scam Detector readers exclusively, Guardio offers a 20% discount this week. How To Stop Third Parties From Tracking Your Devices

The second most powerful fraud prevention tool you should consider is Surfshark. Here is why you should get it now, as the first 5 months are free:

  1. They have an award-winning VPN service, protecting your privacy and preventing third parties from tracking your device.
  2. They will notify you when your personal info is leaked online so you can delete your private data from the Internet immediately.
  3. Surfshark has a super powerful antivirus program. It offers you effective protection from viruses and zero-day threats, a lightweight, clean, and easy-to-use app, and a 30-day money-back guarantee.
  4. Check this: They hide your online searches, which means you will get only organic search results without tracking and follow-up ads. For example, when you search for a flight, and the next time you look at the same search, the prices are higher. With Surfshark, this doesn't happen.
