Is foldupkayaks.com Legit?

On second use seam tore 1/4 of the way down and completely useable. I’ve messaged the company directly twice without response the moment it happened. This occurred February 24th after receiving the kayak in December. I’ve given the company plenty of time to respond to my complaints as it’s May 5th at the time of writing this. Apparently this isn’t the first time it’s happened and the company seems to be deleting and covering up negative reviews.. Super disappointed as I wanted to enjoy this product!

The kayak is great but, we were to get a paddle with the kayak we purchased at Christmas 2023. No paddle was in shipment. We have reached out to customer service multiple times about this an another issue but, no response.

I 100% recommend a Tucktec to anyone who is looking for a recreational kayak!!! I have a 10-ft 2023 model, which I LOVE! I get out on the water as often as I can, and I’m fortunate that I can use it year-round because of where we live. It’s so portable that I carry it around in the bike trailer I originally bought for my dog, which now also serves as a beach cart and kayak cart. I can put in anywhere I can get to the water’s edge. No special roof rack or kayak ramp needed. I will also say I am so impressed by Tucktec as a company. Their customer service is something you rarely experience anymore, so it stands out. They stand behind their products and are amazingly responsive. When I first bought my kayak, I did have some issues. I sent a handful of emails, always in the evening or on the weekend. I got a response back within the hour every single time from Dan (Daniel?). I was floored. On top of that, they immediately resolved my issues without hesitation, even though that meant replacing a kayak. I cannot say enough good things about this company, including the fact that the kayaks are made right here in the USA. The only possible downside is for the introverted kayakers: When other people are around when you’re putting in or taking out, they will inevitably gawk at you and ask questions. Sometimes when I’m not feeling social, I’ll purposely choose a more isolated launch point. 😁I think Tucktec could mobilize an entire PR/sales push if they made all of us ambassadors and equipped us with QR codes or something to share with interested gawkers who are in the market for a kayak!

I took the plunge (figuratively) late last summer after hearing about a friend's #tucktec. It did not disappoint! Easy to assemble, transport (no roof rack struggles!), sturdy and stable, checks all the boxes. Some opt for alternate seating, and there's a marvelous fb community available for advice, tips and hacks. Customer Service is extraordinary and they're always moving forward in design. Highly recommend.

Tucktec folding kayaks are quality made kayaks that are life changers for folks whose heart desires are to kayak...but handling and transporting a hardshell kayak is impossible! As a physically challenged 68 yr old, I independently kayak with my Tucktecs (yes, more than one!)Tucktec's customer service is the BEST of any industry! Bought an 8’ model this spring and used it almost every weekend this summer. As and apartment dweller, I like having something I can store in my place and transport easily I may small car. I did have to reach out to customer service and they were prompt and eager to resolve my concern. I would recommend a Tucktec to anyone looking for a folding kayak.

Awesome portable kayak backed up by excellent customer service! I was searching for kayak solution with portability and usage - Tucktec checks all the boxes for us. We have two 10' 2023 Tucktecs. Easy to setup and put away, paddling is enjoyable, your back is supported way better than with inflatables, easy to take along for camping or around town. Customer service is faster than Jimmy John's "freaky fast" in answering emails, chat questions, and order status. Very impressed with the product and company. #Tucktec

Before I owned this folding kayak, I had no real access to kayaking short of renting one. Now, I can fold her up, put her in the back seat of my car, drive to the nearest river or other body of water and get paddling! Tucktec is excellent with customer service. They aim to please, and if there is ever an issue, they strive to resolve it fast as lightning. I love the independence and freedom I now have to get exercise, peace and soak in the beauty of nature from the water!

Bought my first Tucktec last year when my inflatable sprung a non-repairable leak. Then I got another to bring friends along. Then I won the new 2023 version. This company interacts with their customers all the time and has weekly give aways. What other company do you know that does that? They take suggestions seriously and put some into production. They are also USA made in South Carolina!

We got our kayak delivered, assembled it and the family loves it. It is pretty easy to unfold it and latch everything into place. It also feels nice and secure when you are sitting in it.I ordered the pro version because it offered some excellent options and the price difference is really negligible.I highly recommend #tucktec kayaks. When I ordered my Tucktec, I will admit I was skeptical...a FOLDING kayak?! But living ina condo with very little storage and with a very small car, I decided to take the chance.Maiden voyage with Pinky Tuckadero was incredible!! I can't rave enough about how stable and comfortable it is!!!The plastic is thick and I honestly wasn't able to put it together cold. I read other reviews and took the advice to let it warm in the sun, then it went together easily. I'm thoroughly impressed with my #Tucktec

An avid kayaker but no longer able to lift 40-50 lb kayak unto the roof rack I am so happy someone recommended #tucktec ! After watching the demo videos it’s easy to put together & take down. So excited for the freedom ethos affords me once again to do what I love

Tucktec brings kayaking to many who would not have access otherwise. I'm not an athlete and couldn't lift a standard kayak onto a roof rack - but I can easily carry my folded up Tucktec and put it in the trunk of my car. Easy to store, too! Ten minutes to put together, and I'm off to explore! These are much tougher than inflatables, and #Tucktec customer service is top notch.

#TucktecI just received my first Tucktec and am extremely happy with my new yak! Took me awhile to assemble the first time, but the second time (later that day) was quick and easy. Customer service is responsive and wonderful, warranty is great, and my first paddling adventure was incredible. I’m new to kayaking and no spring chick, so if I was able to figure out how to assemble it and how to enter/exit the boat without great embarrassment, most anyone can!

Customer service has been incredibly fast and helpful, and the kayak itself is amazing! I took mine on its maiden voyage down some rapids with no issues whatsoever. It felt perfectly secure and sturdy, even when I tried rolling it over and when I got stuck on a boulder lol. So far I love my #Tucktec :)

Tucktec made it possible for me to kayak again! With neither the appropriate vehicle, rack system, or strength to haul hard-shell kayaks around, a foldable option seemed like a possible solution. I chose Tucktec for the design, product details, responsive customer service, generous warranty, and price. I took my 2022 10’ kayak out just 8 times and loved it so much that I purchased a second one (2023 8’ model). They’re both great for me, a 5’1” middle-aged lady. Tucktec has the best customer service, speedy shipping time, and amazing products. Their fold up kayaks are the best for portability and durability, I don't worry at all about the scratches my tucktec takes while out on the water. I did have a hook snap off the side of my kayak and emailed customer service. They responded immediately mailing out replacement parts and the tools needed to fix it. Their company is friendly, helpful, and stands behind their product 100%
