Is fbd.ie Legit?

Originally your system simply would not allow me to retrieve my quote despite repeated efforts on my part.Eventually I gained access BUT had further time-costly trouble progressing past entering Additional Driver NumberAnd I see from the other reviews that I am not the ONLY user experiencing difficulties with the website

Website is very sensitive and it is necessary to repeat many of the steps as they disappear from the screen many times. Otherwise no problem.

Really quick and easy to use. Know your rebuild and content costs in advance and you'll get a quote in less than 5 mins.

Received quote via email, went to retrieve documents online. Looking for pin number. No pin number issued or No reference on web site or quote advising where to get pin number from. Clicked forgotten pin. Asking for my for mobile phone number, entered but rejected several times, page now blocked for a x duration. Always question why IT people, who setup these pages automatically think we all have same knowledge as them.

Going direct to what you want for insurance

Have our house insurance with FBD and moved my car insurance to them this morning. Very nice gentleman assisted me and great service. He was professional, great rate and will be back to move husbands insurance over. Such genuine customer service which is very rare.

Competitive quote. Secure site as Timed out personal details but saved with a ref number to retrieve .Did not have to re-input the same details

Racist company, their answer is that they only insure drivers who have an Irish or Ukrainian driver's license, and no European country? I just wonder when they will change their minds when holy Ukrainians start making car accidents because 90% of driver's licenses are bought and forged.

I did my car insurance on line. So easy to follow instructions were very clear. And having my house insurance also with FBD I get extra discount on both. So what's not to like. Thank you FBD. Mary

5 stars out of 5. Initially going to leave a four star score because there is no longer an incentive for existing customers for renewing policies online. Thinking on it again, that incentive was there when buying online was a newer concept than it is today. So it's five stars from me.

Terrible serviceI have had car insurance with FBD now for 4 years, and for the last three years it has increased year on year with no explanation. We are being told claims/costs and policies are decreasing, Policies are not, this is just more gouging of the public. Same car, no accidents/claims. I today attempted to renew my policy online begrudgingly going to pay the inexplicable increases for convenience sake and that option is now not functioning. The FBD Team here (and the website) are asking everyone having difficulties to Call 0818 18 18 18, What's the point? nobody answers, nobody calls back. I called at 11:30 AM, on hold for 5 minutes before getting the callback option and here we are, almost 4 hours later and still no call back, FBD seem to think everyone sits at a desk all day with policy numbers, renewal numbers and customer numbers in front of them waiting for them to call. I would have expected a call back within an hour at most. It's apparent FBD wants customers to go elsewhere. They are clearly making too much money as is and are not particularly concerned about their existing customers, website or contactability .

Really easy to navigate step by step all the way to checkout and no time restrictions or awkward questions just straight to the point finished in five minutes and enjoyable for a change compared to other sites

Ease of use website

Very competitive quote. Easy to use/navigate the online quote process. One small hitch at the end, it would not accept my IBAN for an AIB account. I then used an IBAN from a second account and it was accepted. Both accounts have been suitable for direct debit payments previously.
