fareboom.com Review
The Scam Detector website Validator gives fareboom.com a medium trust score on the platform: 63.6. It signals that the business can best be defined by the following tags: Small Risk. Standard. Active.. We are confident about our score as we also partner with other high-tech, fraud-prevention companies that found the same issues. So, why this lower score? We came up with the 63.6 score based on 53 aggregated factors relevant to fareboom.com's industry. The algorithm detected potential activity related to phishing, spamming, and other factors noted in the Small Risk. Standard. Active. tags above. Long story short, please use caution when using this website. But let's explain in more detail.
Explaining Our Analytical Approach
We've displayed some important information within the Company Details section above, each deserving more explanation:
- Proximity to Suspicious Websites
- Threat Profile
- Phishing Profile
- Malware Score
- Spam Score
- Domain Blacklist Status
- HTTPS connection
- Domain Creation Date
While some are self-explanatory concerning fareboom.com, let's dive deeper into the remaining ones.
Proximity to Potentially Harmful Websites
This metric gauges the connection, scored on a scale of 1 to 100, between fareboom.com and websites marked as suspicious. Elevated scores point to a stronger link with these questionable online destinations. It's worth noting that website owners might not always be aware of their site's proximity to these dubious platforms or servers. However, a "Proximity to Suspicious Websites" score surpassing 80 strongly indicates a high-risk website, while a score below 30 signifies a less-threatening site.
Risk Factors: Threat, Phishing, Malware, and Spam
These indicators reveal the vulnerabilities and elements embedded within the HTML code of fareboom.com. They become especially pertinent if the website has received reports from internet users who've encountered unsolicited emails, ads, or messages related to the site. In the context of fareboom.com, our investigation continues working to pinpoint the specific category, but we welcome your insights in the comments below. A high Malware score generally implies the presence of suspicious code that might be unknowingly disseminated. Conversely, a high Spam score hints at a possibly spam-ridden email address associated with the business. Scores under 30 in both categories are reassuring, but any score surpassing this threshold should raise concerns. fareboom.com is a somewhat safer website, given all the risk factors and data numbers analyzed in this in-depth review. Share your experience in the comments.
Domain Blacklisting Status
This term indicates whether fareboom.com has landed on any online directories' blacklists and earned a suspicious tag.
Assessing HTTPS Connectivity
This section provides insight into whether fareboom.com boasts an 's' at the end of the 'HTTP' protocol listed in your browser's address bar. If the tab displays in green, consider it a positive sign.
Safe Check
We want our trust scores and reviews to be as accurate as possible so that you can protect yourself from online fraud. Our algorithm aggregates factors that efficiently analyze a company's website, in this case, fareboom.com.

Why will you be charging me 2.99 USD to authenticate and email me few minutes later that my authentication failed so I must use another card.I used the new card and still asking for another 2.99 USD???Are you being serious???
After reading a few reviews, I was hesitant to book through Fareboom. The process was unbeatable though so I decided to try it out for myself. The booking process is extremely easy, with all disclosure; response time is excellent. Honestly, it made my booking experience a breeze; better then booking at the carrier directly.
Fareboom is the best!!! They know exactly how to anticipate a situation that maybe related to the country and not the passenger. They usually have a plan B at hand and are quick to resolve issues. I am quite sure many think same about them
GREAT EXPERIENCE!EVERYTHING EXPLAINED GREAT!VERY SMOOTH FROM PAGE TO PAGE!ALSO VERY PLEASED WITH THE TIME GIVEN TO FINISH ALL THAT WAS ASKED FOR!
The call was never forwarded to the customer care representative even though I was first in the queue, nor was a call back given
Rahul left me a phone message offering a great deal on a flight I was not ready to book yet. He was efficient, pleasant and helpful, answering all my questions, and I booked my flight with him when he gave me a discount. Thank you, Rahul.
Yash helped me to book airline ticket, He is very professional. He knows what he is doing. Even he follow up with me. He gave me exceptional service. Definitely I look forward to him for future reservation.
Website is easy to us. I was able to talk to customer service rep who is very patient, friendly and knowledgeable.
Loved the feature which allows showing of up to 3 days of flights before or after a flight date. This really helps to allow easy comparison of prices, airlines, etc.!
All questions answered and assistance provided.
I really appreciated doing business with fareboom it is easy to manage and face.
Just booked a ticket and service was awesome. Also like the secure online system for payment while making a booking via phone.
Hello, I want to offer the highest recommendation for Sachin on the fareboom team. He was incredibly helpful to resolve ticketing and visa issue that I had with QATAR Airways. His help and assistance was invaluable to me and because of this I will continue to do business with fareboom. I am EXTREMELY thankful for his help and support. He was timely, helpful and resourceful in assisting to sort out my issue.
The representative was rude and lied to us about submitting a refund to the airline on our behalf
Date of experience: December 14, 2024
I would like to thank Fareboom's agent Somraj Chakraborty for his excellent work, he explained to me and my wife all the options related to finding tickets with transfers and other details of our flights very professionally. He offered us the most profitable and convenient flights and connections between flights, was very polite and patient. Thanks a lot, Somraj, for your great service. The last step in our journey left is to return back home to Calgary. I am really happy with dealing with Fareboom and his agent Somraj Chakraborty so far.
It's great companies 👏
Fareboom is a great app for booking flights. Because you get to select any flight you want from the cheapest to the most expensive ones. The app is also easy to use and understand. They also provide guidance so you don't make any mistakes when booking your flight.
Yashpal Singh has been an an absolute pleasure to book with. He was so patient during the whole booking process, so I appreciate the whole experience with hi,. He was able to make a complicated booking experience very smooth for my family, so I highly recommend him and the company
I usually use this site to book all of my tickets ,, love it

“Avoid like the plague!”
Here is what this scam company does: 1. Sells you a reasonably priced ticket. 2. Then keeps sending you emails saying that you flight is being cancelled. Cancel your itinerary for a future travel credit/voucher. 3. When you cancel (in my case they cancelled themselves!) they quote you prices for the "voucher" double what you originally paid. Because they have your money/"voucher", they basically have you by the balls, and people panic and pay what they are being asked for. Pretty much all the reviews i read reflect similar stories. So, Buyer Beware! Do not lose your money to this scam business! If i could give zero stars, i would!
“Never again”
I realize this is a difficult time, but I feel totally cheated by fareboom. I had a voucher and after numerous emails and unfriendly customer reps, ended up paying almost full price for my exchanged ticket. Never again will I book with them.
“The worst agency”
They changed ticked 2 hours before check in. Would have gone from Canada to Newark 1:30 minutes would have been home). Instead they send me to Boston waiting time 11 hours than Newark. Nor refund. No apology. Just never answered. Do not book anything with this company.. Tip for consumers:Don’t use this company Products used:Ticket Service Value Shipping Returns Quality
“Scam”
I used this company several times during 5 years. So far didn't have any problems until today on the morning 6 hours before my flight. I called to emergency line and they began conversation with only one option I have to cancel my flight. After 15 min of conversation I realized that this company are chitin me, because they each 5 min they change the option. Finally the promise to refund my ticket which I was agree. Then in an hour I received the email that they can't refund my money. I tried to call them again the hang of me.
“Fareboom: BEWARE of this site”
By far the worst customer service I have ever come across in my entire life. They cancelled my return flights just 48 hours before my trip began and blamed it on the airlines. In reality, the airlines didn't cancel the flights but it was Fareboom that completely jeopardized my travel plans. When asked, they didn't share reason for the cancellation or alternate options for the return flights. All I got was that my concern has been sent to ticketing department. All this just 48 hours before my departure. I had to cancel the entire itinerary and ask for refund because there was no return flights in it. It was completely Fareboom 's fault. They charged 97 dollar service fee for each ticket for the refund and And on top of this my refund doesn't even include an amount (680 dollars) which I paid as a fare difference for preponing one of my flights earlier. This is a SCAM. Tip for consumers:Do not use this site EVER. Products used:Flight tickets and had to cancel the entire itinerary because of the travel agent Fareboom's fault
“Do not book with Fareboom”
Biggest waste of money. No service. Fareboom does not answer phone, e-mail/note slow response which is not an alternative flight offer. Air Canada would have given all money back after cancellation but Fareboom kept $450, for what? Nothing. Most inflexible for rebooking. Must rebook all parties on same route, dates or contact them and you get zero customer service. Overall rating should be zero Stars. Cheap tickets but if airline cancels you get a voucher you can't use because rebooking is a nightmare, if even possible. Don't see how Fareboom can stay in business. I have not been able to rebook after many attempts online, by calling, or writing to Fareboom. Tip for consumers:Do not use Fareboom unless you want to loose $450 per ticket for no reason. Products used:Trying to rebook flights to salvage what can be salvaged Service Value Returns Quality
“Worse service to use please never ever buy ticket from them.”
My uncle bought a ticket from them.he is heart patient.he could not reach the airport because he got a pain in his chest.he provided all documents its been one month he is stuck there and could not make to final destination because of fareboom service after sale.they are not helping at all.asking to pay full amount.long story short never ever please buy ticket from all of you guys.they are scamers cheaters.on the top they hang up on your face.
“Scam Business, be aware!”
Zero star. This company will cheat you by offering a very tempting price, then they will cancel your ticket and blackmail you into paying a processing fee to get the refund. They never answer phone. Beware of dealing with this company, I will work to report this fraud to the US Federal Trade Commission, and everyone who has been defrauded by this company should do the same.
“This is by far the worst travel company...”
This is by far the worst travel company I ever deal with. We tried rebooking our flight after covid restrictions were lifted, and they quoted us prices that are much higher than the airline is offering on their websites. When we found a similar price on Fareboom website, they claimed they could not give us that price because ours is an "exchange" rather than a new flight. To get a refund? They were not only going to charge us $100/person, they want us to pay the $100 (times 5 people) upfront, but won't refund our money for another 8 weeks! So not only are they holding our original fare hostage (about $4300) they now asked us to pay another $500 to "process our refund". This company is a scam Tip for consumers:Stay away from this company. Products used:Airline ticket Service Value Returns Quality
“FareBoom is not Trustworthy”
I should have read the reviews before purchasing air tickets from Fareboom. Yes, they were a little bit lower in price compared to other sites but if you are not aware of their business practices then you are screwed. The day before my departure I received the cancellation of airline flight notice from Fareboom. The airline said that Fareboom canceled one of my return flight segments. I called Fareboom and denied that it was them that canceled and reissued my e-ticket. I flew to my destination. The day before my return flight, I received the cancellation email again. Fareboom does not accept calls. I requested a call back thru their website. Someone called me and was promised to be called back once the situation gets fixed. No call returned. I was able to fly back home but not because of FareBoom, let's say it is because of Divine intervention. DO NOT TRUST FareBoom. Tip for consumers:Do not use the site. Not recommended. Products used:Airline tickets
“Poor customer service”
Fareboom representatives gave me false information on the value of my ticket. They dated the ticket expiration was not till December 2021 and now I want to use it they are saying the ticket expired last December 2020. Instead of taking accountability and compensating me for their miscommunication, my ticket lost its value. Also whenever you call customer service it hangs up. I don't intend to use this site anymore and I advice no one else does.
“THEY'RE WORST; AFTER TAKING YOUR MONEY YOU WILL NOT HEAR FROM THEM; VERY BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE.”
I bought a ticket from them in 2020 to travel from Chicago to Uganda. Covid happened and they gave me a future voucher. However, the voucher expires December 2022. I reached out to them for a refund and they said it is not possible. I decided to use that money for another travel or exchange itinerary; however, whenever i get the flight i wish to book and write to them, they take a week to write back and by that time the itinerary i wanted has been booked by someone else. When i call them, they never answer. Generally, they have very bad customer care, they never reach out in time and once they take your money, if anything happens to your flight, they will not help you at all. If you know what is best for you, do not use fareboom. I probably give them a zero in customer service. Gerald S
“Waiting for refund going towards 2 months”
Requested refund for flight to Germany non 07/02 because of Covod-19. They charged me $300 for processing the refund of three tickets. Informed me per email last week that my refund was processed, but it could take up to 4 weeks until I see it on my account. When asking for receipt for travel insurance they told me I can show them my bank statement when the money post. When advising them that even Walmart gives you a receipt when they process a refund, they finally sent me one. Discovered that the four digit of the debit card the receipt show are not mine. Wrote them now 3 times asking where my money went to and still have no response. How is it that you can take my money in a sec, but take forever to give it back?
“It is a scam”
I originally booked a flight for 3 people in March 2020 to Paris. Due to covid 19 I decided to cancel my trip that was supposed to take place in August. I asked for a refund but was given a voucher instead. Fine. Once I wanted to use my voucher in November 2020 they asked me to add $2000! Yes, saying that the tickets went up. I told them I will use my voucher at a later date. Then on December 2020 they asked me to add $1100. I have checked with united airlines and actually prices went down. They had no reason to ask me to add another thousand. I booked it anyway. Then I needed to change my return date they charged me another $282. Lastly, I also had seat assigned on the site but United airlines declined and said I had to pay an extra $55 per seat reservation. I think I should sue this fake company. Stay away!
“Marko Cadez spam company”
Horrible company. Ceo talks about family owned value company etc. They all should be in jail. They are stealing peoples money. U buy ticket and they cancel the ticket on their own and they ask u huge amount of penalties. Even when u buy book with confidence doesnt mean anything. Family owned stealing company. No customer service at all. Some one needs to shut this company down and put them in Jail. Service Value Shipping Returns Quality
“Fareboom is terrible, stay away.”
I have been fighting with Fareboom close to two years now about getting my $2800.00 back from them since covid-19. Plus, they want to charge me $400.00 more to book my flight again. It is close to impossible to get any customer service. I just sent them email saying either extend my travel voucher for one more year or give me my money back. They aren't honoring my request to book a flight for me and my family to Florida. If anyone wants to get a group lawsuit going hit me up.
“Treated unfair”
Worst company ever.the airline canceled my family tickets due to covid-19. Fareboom never informed me. Called no response only email indicating they will take 100 dollars from each person. Advice pls pls avoid this company.
“Canceled our booking now instead of flying over Dublin my partner is flying over London”
I have never had this happen to me in my life flying with other carriers, and companies that booked our flight. My partner just found out last week that his flight got canceled. They are now rebooking him over London, so that I will arrive in Spain first to visit his parents. We were supposed to fly together. They have caused us stress with not even a phone call. Jerks! Do not book your Vacation with them!
“Fareboom stole my money”
I booked flights that were cancelled due to COVID-19. I was not able to get a refund, just a credit which would have been no problem if I could actually use it. I spent over $1000 to get these flights booked. I am trying to book a flight to Cancun with my credit and Fareboom is trying to charge me over $300, more than the cost to book directly through an airline. Criminal. Tip for consumers:AVOID! Products used:None - they stole my money and I couldn't use it. Service Value Shipping Returns Quality
“They canceled my flight past minute”
Be aware! They are scam! They charged me the ticket price and they canceled my flight few hours before my flight without any explanation. They haven't returned my money back either! This is so inconvenient and this company should close their business before more people got scammed through them. I will file a claim at other platforms too! Horrible! Products used:Flight Service Value Shipping Returns Quality
“FRAUDBOOM”
They stole 3,000 dollars from me. I am disgusted with the CEO Marko Cedez. They illegally are taking money claiming it's the airlines cancellation policy, when talking to the airlines directly, they said they charge zero amounts for a refund. BBB has over 56 claims against them. Service Value Shipping Returns Quality
“Intl trip anticipated but not communicated”
Yes it was very stressful to be in another country to wake up n see in my phone: your flight is on progress'. Yes flight was anticipated 10 hours n not communicated to me. Partner airline sensing its flight was getting full tried to drop me. I ended up taking the first leg of my trip n the last one as planned. It took me several days to de-stress as I couldn't get in touch nor w fareboom staff nor w any one of the airlines in question: Azul n United.
“Do not use fareboom they are good at taking your money but nothing els”
In December 2019 we booked our flight to Germany and then covid-19 happened. We tried many times to cancel starting in March and now they don't answer their phones. I have tried to find the flight on swiss air and lufthansa. There is no such flight and no one will talk to me. Germany is letting only eu members in and they must quaranteen for 2 weeks. Ec-261 says we can get our money back. Lufthansa also does not care. So please stay away from fareboom, swiss air and lufthansa. John C.
“$#*!ty service - Update”
Awful service. Avoid like the plaque. Bought tickets and had to cancel because of covid 19 charged me a fee for a refund then never received refund. Lies. Terrible service. UPDATE DID REFUND INTO CLOSED ACCOUNT. Service Value Returns
“Several international trips, great prices”
We've used them 4-5 times for flights and found good prices and service. My cousin, an attorney, was skeptical about Detroit to Mexico fare, went without a hitch. Any airlines will charge a fee if you miss or change a flight, (except SWA). We always get travel insurance and again Fareboom offers fair price if you buy when purchasing the airfare.

Top 5 Effective Ways To Spot a Scam Website [VIDEO]
There are many types of fake sites in the online world. We have some good news. Watch the video below to see the 5 effective ways you can spot a fraudulent website in 2024:
How To Remove Your Information From the Internet
Whether you like it or not, unfortunately, the Internet has all your personal information stored. How did that happen? Every time you visit a simple site and accept cookies, consent to their forms, or download an app, unscrupulous data brokers collect not just your phone number, name, AND address. They also sell this to third parties, which creates a $1 billion industry a year. Your collected personal data is used by buyers to send you never-ending spam emails, targeted ads, and, of course, telemarketing calls. Crooks use all your data without remorse.
We can help. Many people have asked us about how to remove your personal information from the Internet. If you want your data deleted entirely from the online world, contact our official partners at Incogni immediately. This legitimate data privacy tool works on your behalf to officially require a ton of online brokers to remove your data.
Our staff verifies that this service works and is trustworthy. For robust, essential protection, their Standard plan is a steal at just $8.29 for individuals, and you can extend that crucial peace of mind to your entire household with the Family plan (up to 5 users) for only $16.49. They also introduced the Unlimited plan starting from $14.99 that covers not only automatic data removals, but also unlimited custom removals available right away upon purchasing the Unlimited plan. It allows users to submit websites not yet covered by Incogni and get their data removed from there, too. They also offer a free exposure scanner that will give you an insight into what data of yours is exposed and where.
