He was also very patient with my inexperience and the delays caused by a very old computer. Consistently patient and encouraging. It makes the cost well worth it.

I have had FTM for yrs from 2017 to 2019 versions and absolutely loved it till now. This latest update FTM2019.24.2 broke the sync and upload/download for Ancestry.com site. Since Feb 2023 to-date, this has been a 4-5 mth unresolved issue rendering its usefulness a mute point. I'd pay of a 2023 Upgrade that fixed the issue, but till then I'm stuck using the online Ancestry tree which sucks. Plus, a relative just (6/10/23) bought FTM based on my earlier recommendation and was not advised they would not be able to download their existing Ancestry tree. That's a bit unethical.

While attempting to download a much-needed update to my Family Tree Maker program, the download failed. Called Tech Support and spoke with Nova Anderson. I explained that I have difficulties understanding the workings of computers. Nova was able to take control of everything. He efficiently diagnosed my problems, solved the issues, then updated my program for me. He was courteous and knowledgeable concerning Family Tree Maker and all other issues concerning the workings of my computer. Should other problems arise, I will not hesitate to call and ask for Mr. Nova Anderson.

AJ ReviewMy experience with AJ was extremely pleasant, timely & efficient. I have been getting les & less info from Ancestry & have only recently heard that it might be the FT Maker 2017 that is out-dated. Since I started a new tree & was researching needed data from England it seemed to slow down access to the program even more. AJ did not have an easy time relating to me because I am not very knowledgeable with the computer language. Nonetheless he was patient enough with me & he managed very well to get his message across. I appreciate that very much as I am in my 80's & pretty darn slow on the uptake.Another aspect with my interaction with him is that he also ensured that we spoke directly with each other when he finished with the installation & transfer of data. I am much relieved & will get started on my project later this evening. You have saved my sanity!!!!

AJ Got My whole program of Family Tree Maker-2012 working faster and merged duplicate Families. Between what AJ and Annie did, they saved me months that I thought I was going to have to use to re-input all the data that I thought I had lost.

I called Family Tree Maker tech support to get the new update. I haven't used Family Tree Maker in years, and the latest version is very different in every way. Not having time to learn the system yet, I asked the tech support person, Randy, to do the install for me. He was very good natured, patient and helpful. Even with an internet booster, my phone connections are sometimes garbled, as was the case today. Randy perservered with me through several calls until everything was done. He answered any questions I had and also encouraged me to call back anytime for help and information. I would recommend Family Tree Maker especially because of the good experiences I have with their tech support. Good customer service is a rare commodity these days. Kudos to Family Tree Maker, and their tech support representative Randy.

I have used Family Tree Maker for many years. Several years ago the sync with Ancestry.com quit working. It took quite a while before they supposedly fixed. Just recently got applied the latest patches and the install went fine. Now when I try to sync my tree with Ancestry.com it bombs with no explanation but pops up a window that says to clink on the link to send Family Tree Maker a report. Did not get a valid response other then to rebuild my tree. Called online support today and said there was a problem with the database and I would need to pay $150.00 for support to them to fix it. This is their software and database but want to be paid high amount of money for them to support their problem. Perhaps this is a money making scheme for them. I have used different versions of FTM for a long time now and have been a happy customer until now. I am not going to be held for ransom to fix one of their problem. Beware of support, they expect you to pay to fix anything they may have caused. Bring the software back to America!!!

The service was very good in that they were very patient with a person who did not know how to follow their instructions. They were able to fix the problem because they had patience with the customer and gave them encouragement.
