We came up with the 13.1 score based on 53 aggregated factors relevant to ezclear.ca's industry. The algorithm detected high-risk activity related to phishing, spamming, and other factors noted in the Untrustworthy. Risky. Danger. tags above. Long story short, we recommend staying away from this website. But let's explain in more detail.

- Threat Profile
- Phishing Profile
- Malware Score
- Spam Score
- Domain Blacklist Status
- HTTPS connection
- Domain Creation Date
While some are self-explanatory concerning ezclear.ca, let's look closer at the remaining ones.
Proximity to Potentially Harmful Websites
This metric gauges the connection, scored on a scale of 1 to 100, between ezclear.ca and websites marked as suspicious. Elevated scores point to a stronger link with these questionable online destinations. It's worth noting that website owners might not always be aware of their site's proximity to these dubious platforms or servers. However, a "Proximity to Suspicious Websites" score surpassing 80 strongly indicates a high-risk website, while a score below 30 signifies a less-threatening site.
Risk Factors: Threat, Phishing, Malware, and Spam
These indicators reveal the vulnerabilities and elements embedded within the HTML code of ezclear.ca. They become especially pertinent if the website has received reports from internet users who've encountered unsolicited emails, ads, or messages related to the site. In the context of ezclear.ca, our investigation continues working to pinpoint the specific category, but we welcome your insights in the comments below. A high Malware score generally implies the presence of suspicious code that might be unknowingly disseminated. Conversely, a high Spam score hints at a possibly spam-ridden email address associated with the business. Scores under 30 in both categories are reassuring, but any score surpassing this threshold should raise concerns. ezclear.ca is a suspicious website, given all the risk factors and data numbers analyzed in this in-depth review. Share your experience in the comments.
Domain Blacklisting Status
This term indicates whether ezclear.ca has landed on any online directories' blacklists and earned a suspicious tag.

So this company holds YOUR parcels and demands HUGE "brokerage" payments. Canada Post has a $5 flat brokerage, so don't believe their lies that they don't set the prices (UPS did the same, look up all the class action suits that have been won against them for this). I refused the parcel, told them to return it to the UK. The company (who was pretending to be Canadian but was in the UK) told me to accept the parcel, pay the fee and then return the items...BUT you don't get the brokerage fees back, and you have to PAY to ship it back! Total scam.
Holds your parcels hostage in exchange for exorbitant brokerage fees. Oh, sure, you can self-declare, but it will take 2-5 business days for them to get you the paperwork, and then you have to go to a CBSA office yourself and report back to them before they'll release your parcel...if they haven't returned it to the country of origin first. Customer service will then tell you that this is all your fault for making the purchase in the first place.
I have read many reviews on this company. I had never heard of them before. The staff for this company were quick to respond and were helpful. I did not feel they are "scammers". I did ask to self declare at the advice of other reviews here. It did take a few days to get the paper work I needed, but that is to be expected. It is a pain in the butt to have to find a CBSA office where you can pay the duty yourself. In Vancouver there is only one! I did save a few dollars by doing this however. Despite persistent emails that I needed to pay duty, I was surprised to find that my package had already been transferred on to Canada Post. Here I was a bit stressed that they would return my package to the UK. Overall it was smooth. They are an intermediary and I guess charge the fees to give you the convenience of not having to go to a CBSA office. And I will say they were helpful when I needed more information.
“Scam” sounds like they hack your credit card. Deceitful, greasy, are better terms to describe them.Legitimate company but you will be paying extra for no real reason.Canadian consumers: contact Canada Post and give them the receipt after. You can self-claim customs fees.My main concern is the only time I used them: my package has gone missing. I am uncertain who is to blame.
I ordered something from the UK and when it arrived in Canada I started getting emails from EzClear that I owed money before they would deliver. I simultaneously started getting emails from Canada Post with my tracking number, which is the same "parcel code" that EzClear is using. I checked with Canada Post and THEY have my package, it's in transit, and they've confirmed I don't owe anything. EzClear is literally lying saying they are holding my package until I pay them - for nothing. Scammy garbage. Check your tracking number with your local post!
DO NOT PAY EZCLEAR. this is a scamming company that claims they are holding your package until you pay them “import fees” DO NOT PAY THEM A SINGLE PENNY. Contact canada post or your local post office for tracking information about your package.
Although it is true you can request to clear your goods yourself from CBSA, what they fail to mention in this blog is they make that process as difficult as possible. However you are advised up front this will delay your parcel delivery by weeks.
This is a fraudulent company who falsely represents a third party Customs Broker for Canada Post collecting fees and duties. This is a scam as Canada Post does not rely on any third party broker. All fees or duties for a parcel is always collected upon delivery either at your door through the letter carrier or post depot upon collecting your parcel. Do not give out any of your personal information to this scam and block all of their emails. This information was confirmed by contacting Canada Post. Glad I called.
This compagny is just making money on the fact that they are complicating the process of receiving your package. Would be more efficient to just pay the fee at the post office for the same price or even less. Everything else they are saying are pretty little lies... The business is all about intercepting every DDU packages using Citilogistics.ca servicesFunny to see all these 5 stars comments about how great this service is... who really have the time to go and post good reviews here when their primary argument is about "saving their precious time" because they have better thing to do... FAKE... FAKE... FAKE...
I ordered some bike parts from chain reactions in the UK and I was charged 13.65% HST (HST should be 13%) plus a $15 administration fee. And a disbursement fee of $1.89. They are just taking advantage of consumers. I had to call and refuse the delivery of the package... The customer service rep was polite and cancelled it right away (It seems like she was used to cancelling the delivery orders).
SCAM ALERT: EZClear is a third party broker that ransoms online orders coming to Canada from the UK. Also operating under the title CitiLogistics, they take packages from international couriers like OSC and demand a payment double the cost of actual customs to release packages to Canada Post. You can self clear your packages with the CSBA which seems to be the only way you can get them to release their stolen ‘consigned,’ items. In instances you don’t, they will eventually return to sender. International mail should not be in the hands of businesses that are not couriers! I’d avoid ordering anything that uses OSC shipping from the UK, and will be careful not to order from places that partner with them in the future. My order was from The Ragged Priest, it seems like ASOS may use them and some Makeup Brands but I am unsure.
Exceptional customer service. Maricel is truly one of a kind. Ive interacted with her on numerous occasions and she always goes above and beyond in explaining where or what is going on with your package. If there are any delays or issues, it is usually because of customs delays and other factors that don't have anything to do with Ezclear. Plus, you can pay off your duties with PayPal which is always a plus!
I spoke to the same person twice about my parcel and both times were awesome. I received a receipt from EZ clear because Beauty Bay mistakenly put the original prices on the order I paid sale prices for, so my order total was no longer labelled duty free. She was soooo helpful, understanding, friendly, gave me great advice and put so much effort into helping me (even speaking to others). I am relieved that all was so smoothly and easily resolved (at least on my end:). I can’t say enough!
When I saw this company pop up in my email after ordering a pair of pants online, their name alone seemed shady. After finding out it was indeed an actual company and not a scam, I proceeded to read the reviews. Sure enough, the rate EZ Clear would have charged me to clear my package ended up being more than twice what customs did: I went directly to CBSA and they charged me 27 dollars, while EZ Clear wanted to charge me 70. Scummy. The only thing I'll say to their credit is that when I asked them to let me pay my own brokerage fees they responded promptly and without hassle. Still, I wonder how much they make off of people who don't know any better.
THIS IS A SCAMI got an email notice about unpaid duties for a parcel to be delivered by Canada Post. I called Canada Post to confirm that they said any duties for parcel delivered by them would be collected either at the door on delivery or at a Post Office when the parcel is picked up.Don't fall for this!!
Canada Post made an error and did not deliver my package. It was en route to be sent back to the retailer in the UK when thank goodness Maricel from Citilogistics found it and reached out to me! She was incredibly helpful and has redirected my parcel back to me. Canada Post was useless and incredibly unhelpful. Thanks Maricel for helping me fix this situation and being so prompt with your replies!!!
First experience with Ez Clear. My product cost was $156.91 and my import charges were $51.80. After reading other reviews on Ez Clear, I decided to self clear my parcel. Took 15 days to get the necessary paperwork from Ez Clear. When I took the paperwork to my nearest Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA), I only had to pay the 5% GST which ended up being $7.85. I questioned why the huge difference and was told by Ez Clear "The difference is you are not paying for the bonded services of FB Canada Express, brokerage fee of William Rutherford. The disbursement fee of using the paypal online service." Seems like a pretty expensive service FB Canada Express is offering. I would recommend to others to self clear if you have a CBSA close by.
I ordered bike parts from the UK. I have done this many times before, and am accustomed to paying a $10 brokerage fee to Canada Post. EZClear charged $14 plus 83 cents "disbursement fee". So, just about 50% more than Canada Post. Delivery was not any faster than normal.I will only shop from online retailers that continue to use Canada Post exclusively.
This is my first time doing a review here. EZclear is a scam. Please google it. There are also YouTube videos talking about this scam. I bought something from look fantastic from UK. I received an email from EZclear. They charge very high fees. And duty and custom charge is calculated at a higher rate than that what government would charge you. Please contact look fantastic and make a complaint if you receive EZclear email.
I do not trust this company at all. Every time I have to pay import duties I go through Canada Post. And the lady I spoke to told me that she has been dealing with the same retailer I purchased from for over five years, on the same token I have been purchasing from the same retailer for about five years and never ever have I paid a single extra penny in duties. What changed?

“WTF”
Just got email from EZCLEAR. Stated I owed them 21.00 on a 47.00 purchase. Pay it to release my purchase for delivery. I ordered lots of stuff from around the world and this is first time I ran into this. This order is coming from UK to Canada. As in picture you see charges for administrative fees, admin tax fee, duty fee, customs fee and a distribution fee. Found this to be excessive for 47.00 purchase..
“Scam company”
Disgusting slimy company, read the reviews below me and just self clear to get the real fees charged or not even charged at all! Unfortunately I lost $15 before seeing all this as i've already payed them! Ugh im so pissed off
“Disgusting, unethical, scamming, crooks!”
You would think that after all the people above have left terrible reviews about this company they would re think what they are doing and realize how wrong it is, but no of coarse not they are still stealing money from people. My daughter ordered something and they are pulling the same sh**. My daughter is 16 she works hard at a minimum wage job to buy herself clothes and they are despicable, stealing from a child! Gross. Just revolting. I plan on calling and self clearing her package, but what a pain in the $#*!, so annoying. I hope you loose all your customers and go under! They try to say what they are doing is right but if it was then all the other online stores would do the same but they don't I have never come across anything like this! You should be ashamed of yourselves!
“It's a scam!”
EZclear kept emailing me about duty fees when Canada Post is the one who will deliver my package. Please contact your delivery service first before paying the fees because when I did they told me that I owed them nothing! Tip for consumers:Don’t trust EZclear and don’t get too anxious with their spam emails! Service Value Shipping Returns Quality
“Terrible scam”
I have been purchasing online clothing from UK retailers for years and have never had to pay such exorbitant customs fees. This time around I received an email from these guys asking me to pay $70.00 custom duties on products worse $160.00. Naturally I called the toll-free number to inquire and the lady who picked up started explaining duty fees minimum/maximum allowed and made it sound like I had to pay right away. A company I have never dealt with wants me to give them my credit card to charge whatever. They have been holding my package for a week and as far as I am concerned, they may as well return it to sender cause they won't be getting a penny from me. I am willing to pay duties to CBSA directly or Canada Post not these guys.
“EzClear is a scam.”
Months ago I ordered a t-shirt for a charity campaign that never arrived. I emailed the company (Stands International) about the delivery that tracking said had been delivered. They confirmed my address and sent me another one. Just today I recieved an email from EzClear who somehow has my old order and will happily release it to me for $16.22 can. I am sending a copy of the email to stands to let them know of this scam, and that their packages are being intercepted. I contacted Stands and they sent me a replacement directly. It did not have to go through customs, and I was not charged extra. Service Value Shipping Returns Quality
“No up-front explanation; Charges 6.5% duty on 0% rated item”
Despite knowing exactly what the item is, and despite charging $8.99 for their work, this company is charging me 6.5% duty on an item that is supposed to be duty-free from the country of origin (in Europe.) What is the point of this company other than to incorrectly assess duty on packages, charge $9 (plus 55 cents for "disbursement") and then likely not remit the 6.5% to the federal government at the end of the day? I'm sure their paperwork accounts for the 0%, we are stuck paying whatever they consider to be the duty. The only way to fight this is to contact the company you purchased the goods from and suggest that they never, ever use this company or any shipping company that uses their services again.
“Watch out, hidden fees”
Big scam. Hidden fees. Crooked company to ask more $$ once you paid them as a GRAND TOTAL. I ordered with Military First (1st) in UK for 150$ CAN $ and suddenly, they ask me more money to pay the custom fees. I had no mention of that in shipping and handling when i paid it first time on their website. So watch out $$$$$$$$$$$$$
“EL OH EL... THEIVES. DO NOT PAY”
LOL is all I have to say. To think that people wouldn't google this SCAM of a company is hilarious. To all of you who "work" at EzClear... karma is so real. I did not pay them because I already paid my duties with my purchase. Thank God I googled y'all and found this page. Sharing with everyone I know :)
“SELF CLEAR YOUR OWN PACKAGE”
Read all of the other reviews about this scam of a company. Do NOT give them your money. Forward their request for payment email to their support email and request the link to self-clear the package. Disgusting that a company like this exists. I will be contacting Missguided immediately to tell them to stop using this courier that uses this company.
“Frauds”
Literally hold your packages hostage and make you pay... went on the CBSA website and calculated the proper duty fees which would be $22 but EZCLEAR says I owe $36... they sent a breakdown of the fees I owe which included a $14 administration fee. Which adds up. $22 + $14 = $36. They are simply frauds. Heading to the CBSA office tonight to pay the proper fees... I knew something was up when I received the email in my junk mail rather than direct inbox. Thanks to everyone on this site for the reviews which helped me do my research and not pay these SCAMMERS
“SCAM!”
Got an email from this company EZClear stating I owe duty fees of $13.79. Ignored the email and looked them up and all pointed to a scam, the email stated that I needed to pay these fees in order to have my package delivered. I got an email from Canada Post telling me a label is being made for my package, I called Canada Post and asked them if I owed duty fees and they said no and that my package will be sent out in a day or 2. He told me not to pay the duty fees and the email from EZClear is most likely a scam. I am glad I called Canada Post and found out this information, as i thought it was fishy and possibly a scam. Tip for consumers:...... Products used:.... Service Value Shipping Returns Quality
“Why are you charging administrative fees that Post Canada can charge themself?”
They are doing nothing else than charging Duty tax that they don't even evaluate themself. Let Post Canada charge these fees to me themself and the package will get faster to my home... It is just a clever way to steal money from people. There is absolutly no value to this service. They also deliberatly don't mention anywhere that you can self-clear the package yourself. Another tactic of scammy business. If you do, the process take forever and they are counting on that to get your money when you really need your package ASAP... Tip for consumers:Complain about this compagny to DDD Products used:They are holding your package asking money for Duty Tax. Service Value Quality
“STUPID COMPANY”
This is the dumbest sh*t I've ever heard of. First of all miss guided doesn't warn you about the charges before checking out, second the customer service for czclear is useless and you have to end up paying the fees if you want you're package! They are basically forcing you to pay pointless fees FRAUDS
“Definitely a scam, I reached out to Canada Post and they confirmed”
I got around three emails from EZ Clear within the span of three days reminding me to pay their duties. I was very suspicious because I had already received a tracking number from Canada Post. I reached out to EZ Clear and someone named Maricel responded. This is suspicious because ALL the other reviews for this company say they talked to someone named Maricel too. Does no one else work at this 'company'? Can you guys not at least use different fake names? Anyway, I reached out to Canada Post to ask about this company and they responded saying, "This is a scam. If duties are levied by CBSA, our Track package will display options to pay online or at a post office." Do not pay EZ Clear. Edit: Legit just got a FOURTH email from them as I was writing this review.
“DISGUSTED”
I just received an email asking to pay $85.00, I have never heard of EZClear so I google searched and I found everyone with the same reviews, Horrified! All the years that I have ordered from the UK to Canada, duties have been between $30 to $50.00. My last purchase was for $155.20 and duty with DHL was $43.00, which is expensive already. This purchase is for $195 CDN and duty is $85.00? Why is this company charging double? I will ut in a complaint with the store I purchased with and let them know to switch carriers or I will not purchase with them again. And I will also put it on the store review to warn others before they purchase that the store uses DHL only. It will not stop there. I will also use this charge as an example with ALL my DHL charges and make it public as well as make a complaint to Canada Border Services Agency as this does not make sense nor is it right! Order Summary Details Admin Fees* *includes brokerage fee, funds advancement fee, bond fee $14.50 GST/HST on Admin Fees $1.89 Duties $35.33 Customs Tax $30.11 Disbursement Fees $3.27 Total (CAD) $85.10 Tip for consumers:This is in regards to EZClear customs Brokerage that is charging higher than normal duty fees, double than what I normally pay through DHL. Make sure the company you purchase with uses DHL and not an independent courier company anywhere around the world. This is horrifying!! Products used:Customs broker Service Value Shipping
“Hidden fees”
I pain for fast shipping from the uk, took longer than the 5-6 days, now ive gotten an email saying they wont deliver it until i pay duties. Canada post lets you pay at the door. Piss me off
“Scam!”
Bought some ma-up products from Sample Beauty (& Beauty Bay). I received several email from EzClear from the 31st May that asks me for a fee of $16, but the total of my products is only $30. The email has all my personal info SB have confirmed in their email that EzClear is indeed the agent of their courrier, and they asked me to pay the fees. However, I have called Post Canada 2 times, EzClear has nothing to do with them. They haven't heard of it, there is absolutely no handling/admin/custom fee, none. The item is already with Post Canada and cannot be handled by another individual or company. Post Canada said my package will soon arrive in the following days. THEY ARE SCAMMERS. DO NOT believe SB or EzClear. The picture is the screenshot of the emails. Tip for consumers:DO NOT USE. Scammers. Service Value Shipping Returns Quality
“Questionable legitimacy”
Was contacted by EzClear about a shipment from the UK from a retailer who I have dealt with in the past. $60 CAD worth of product and EzClear wanted to charge me an additional $26 CAD. Nope. Went to Border Services to self clear and the border agent was legitimately confused at the paperwork that had been provided by EzClear... he said it didn't make sense because CBSA had already cleared the shipment for delivery. Walked out with NO DUTY OR TAXES PAYABLE. STEER CLEAR of EzClear. DO NOT PAY THEM. Go self clear... takes a few minutes, but well worth it.
“Scam”
Im never ordering from missguided again. Trying to charge me $27 for a $50 purchase claiming to hold my package hostage. I have emailed them to ask for a link to self claim. Well see what happens
“BEWARE”
THEY DONT TELL YOU ABOUT DUTIES AND ANYTHING ELSE THEY SHOULD OF INCLUDED THE PRICES FOR EVERYTHING when you pay the first time. Got 2 screen protectors they were expensive like 75 bucks worth expensive for 1 screen protector and then they now charge another 30 dollars for duties ARE YOU SERIOUS. Why are you a canadian company website if thats the case
“SCAM. Do not pay.”
I have now received three emails from EZ Clear asking me for money. Upon contacting Canada Post by phone I was told that there were no duty charges on my package and it was in transit. I spoke to them in person and was told not to pay EZ Clear because there were no duty charges on my package. To TRIPLE CHECK I provided my tracking info to the CP chat (3rd time confirming tracking info with them as well) and surprise surprise, NO DUTY CHARGES, PACKAGE IN TRANSIT. I am convinced this companys claims are fraudulent at best and criminal misrepresentation at worst. Service Value Quality
“Not legit at all.”
What a terrible experience I have had with this company. I placed an order at store in the UK and they so happened to use CitiLogistics as their shipper which for some really odd reason uses this third party broker, EZclear. I started getting harassed by email every day by this company asking for exorbitant duty fees. Weird thing is that I received a tracking number from Canada Post, where it said that my item was received by them and was on it's way. I even called Canada Post and they said not to pay any other company, that it was a scam, and that any duty fees will be paid upon delivery or at the local post office. So naturally I ignored EZclear's sketchy emails, and eventually asked them to stop bothering me. The "customer service" rep told me that in that case they will be returning my item. It seems like they were actually holding the item hostage and decided to return it to the UK as a means of revenge for not paying their fees. The CitiLogistics tracking showed that I "refused the delivery of the package", which is not true. I would have gladly paid any duties to Canada Post. Now the store (Military1st) will not return the shipping charges. I guess it's a lose-lose for everyone involved except the shipper. Never again will I order from a company using CitiLogistics or EZclear. Seems like they work together to extort their customers. Service Value Shipping Returns Quality
“Scam”
This is the biggest scam of a company I've ever seen. And to suggest that calling it a scam is "damaging" to your company is not true at all. We are calling it as it is a "scam".
“Misleading and expensive”
I live in Canada and ordered something from Missguided. A few days later, I get an email from Ezclear asking for a fair amount of money for duties (well, taxes, duties, and their charges which were more than DOUBLE what my other fees were). They gave me two options on how to pay them. I never heard of them and was unaware of their services so I suspected a phishing attack. I emailed them to pay the mailman at the door because I didn't want to deal with potential fraud. Their response was that this was not possible, the parcel was with them, awaiting my payment. I didn't like their response and they didn't offer any guarantee that the package would arrive after paying them so I looked them up and found this message. Thank you to the previous person, I asked to self-clear my package in person at the CBSA Office and only then did they offer me the third option of doing this. They sent over the paperwork, I went to the office in the city, paid EVEN LESS tax than what they said I owed them, and I did not pay their fees... so it ended up being much cheaper. I forwarded the receipt to Ezclear and got my package within 1 business day. I wouldn't be mad if they they just told me all of my options right from the beginning but they withheld information and wanted to make me pay way too much. In that regards, I really think this business could be more transparent.

There are many types of fake sites in the online world. We have some good news. Watch the video below to see the 5 effective ways you can spot a fraudulent website in 2024:
How To Remove Your Information From the Internet
Whether you like it or not, unfortunately, the Internet has all your personal information stored. How did that happen? Every time you visit a simple site and accept cookies, consent to their forms, or download an app, unscrupulous data brokers collect not just your phone number, name, AND address. They also sell this to third parties, which creates a $1 billion industry a year. Your collected personal data is used by buyers to send you never-ending spam emails, targeted ads, and, of course, telemarketing calls. Crooks use all your data without remorse.
We can help. Many people have asked us about how to remove your personal information from the Internet. If you want your data deleted entirely from the online world, contact our official partners at Incogni immediately. This legitimate data privacy tool works on your behalf to officially require a ton of online brokers to remove your data.
Our staff verifies that this service works and is trustworthy. Are You the Owner of ezclear.ca?
If you own ezclear.ca, we’d love to hear from you. If you'd like to challenge the trust score we’ve assigned, we’re happy to take a closer look. However, please be prepared to provide solid proof of your business's legitimacy. Introduce yourself with your name (not just "Admin").
When domain owners contact us to dispute their trust score, we kindly ask for the following:
* Business documentation that verifies your legitimacy (e.g., certificate of incorporation, business registration, or official records with the site or business name).
* Your personal LinkedIn profile and the business's social media accounts (e.g., Facebook).
* If available, proof of satisfied customers (e.g., screenshots, not just testimonials on your website), evidence of inventory, or records of handling order cancellations properly.
We’re more than willing to update your review based on the evidence you provide—the more proof, the higher your trust score. Please note, however, that we cannot verify non-operational websites or those redirected to other URLs. Additionally, we do not verify websites involved in high-risk financial services, gambling, adult content, or illegal activities.
