expedia.nl Review

The Scam Detector website Validator gives expedia.nl a fairly high trust score on the platform: 80.6. It signals that the business is best defined by the following tags: Fair. Valid. Known.. We are confident about our score as we also partner with other high-tech, fraud-prevention companies that found the same issues. So, why this score? We came up with the 80.6 score based on 53 aggregated factors relevant to expedia.nl's industry. The algorithm detected a low risk for activity related to phishing, spamming, and other factors noted in the Fair. Valid. Known. tags above. Long story short, we deemed this a known website, with a low scam probability. But let's explain in more detail.

Explaining Our Analytical Approach

We've displayed some important information within the Company Details section above, each deserving more explanation:

  • Proximity to Suspicious Websites
  • Threat Profile
  • Phishing Profile
  • Malware Score
  • Spam Score
  • Domain Blacklist Status
  • HTTPS connection
  • Domain Creation Date

While some are self-explanatory concerning expedia.nl, let's look closer at the remaining ones.

Proximity to Potentially Harmful Websites

This metric gauges the connection, scored on a scale of 1 to 100, between expedia.nl and websites marked as suspicious. Elevated scores point to a stronger link with these questionable online destinations. It's worth noting that website owners might not always be aware of their site's proximity to these dubious platforms or servers. However, a "Proximity to Suspicious Websites" score surpassing 80 strongly indicates a high-risk website, while a score below 30 signifies a less-threatening site.

Risk Factors: Threat, Phishing, Malware, and Spam

These indicators reveal the vulnerabilities and elements embedded within the HTML code of expedia.nl. They become especially pertinent if the website has received reports from internet users who've encountered unsolicited emails, ads, or messages related to the site. In the context of expedia.nl, our investigation continues working to pinpoint the specific category, but we welcome your insights in the comments below. A high Malware score generally implies the presence of suspicious code that might be unknowingly disseminated. Conversely, a high Spam score hints at a possibly spam-ridden email address associated with the business. Scores under 30 in both categories are reassuring, but any score surpassing this threshold should raise concerns. expedia.nl is an innocuous suspicious website, given all the risk factors and data numbers analyzed in this in-depth review. Share your experience in the comments.

Domain Blacklisting Status

This term indicates whether expedia.nl has landed on any online directories' blacklists and earned a suspicious tag.

Assessing HTTPS Connectivity

This section provides insight into whether expedia.nl boasts an 's' at the end of the 'HTTP' protocol listed in your browser's address bar. If the tab displays in green, consider it a positive sign.

Safe Check

We want our trust scores and reviews to be as accurate as possible so that you can protect yourself from online fraud. Our algorithm aggregates factors that efficiently analyze a company's website, in this case, expedia.nl.

Warning. Do not book long haul flights with multiple Airlines through them. They are an absolute disaster. If one airline cancels a flight your worst nightmare will begin. Even booking an upgrade you can't do without having to go through them All I can say is want hassle free travel avoid expedia like the plague
Hi this is the worse travel agency I have ever booked with.USELESS customer services, they do cancellation and doesn't have any options to offer, you spend 5 hours on the phone with them with 0 result. NEVER AGAIN I will go via EXPEDIA NL. AVOID them because it will save your life . BELIEVE ME it is a useless company and their DUTCH speaking customer service behaves like robots - they can only repeat what you know. MISERY!!!!
Booking from brussel to osaka then from tokyo to brussel. The way to Japan, expedia giving us 2 check in bagage plus meals for 2.The way back to brussel, no check in bagage and meals, that means 4x2x80= 640 euro bagage cost extra and not even meals included. I prefer having 2 bagage for backwards than forward to Japan.Who need go to Japan with 2 empty cases? What a site, never book again.
Do not book several hotel rooms on Expedia! When you book several hotel rooms on Expedia, they can cancel them one sided with the reason "booking several rooms at this hotel is a group booking and it's against the hotel policy to do so on Expedia". This policy is not legal nor published on Expedia! Why would I not be allowed to book through individual bookings if I prefer this over a group booking? So this means that weeks after you make the bookings (me on 6/6), suddenly you get a one sided cancellation (on 20/6) and need to start looking for other options. What a stupid commercial strategy as you consider all rooms have been paid for at time of booking on Expedia website and at even higher rates than going directly or booking as a group booking! The reason you book through Expedia is to be protected against these horrible situations of one sided cancellations, but apparently not...And when you try sending a complaint or email, you cannot reach them or they reply "sorry, we cannot do anything for you, you have to contact the hotel". Sorry, no, I booked through you and you do not have the right to cancel one sided weeks after the bookings were confirmed.
This website legally steals money!!During the payment, an error pops up while the money is paid successfully! No confirmation received, no customer service. And even they convince the credit card company with some made up reasons that it was customer's fault, not their fault. So, money wasted with a couple of clicks! Use Booking.com and do not fall for their lies!
Worst experience I have ever had. We were promised a full refund of over 200€ because they made a mistake on our hostel booking which ended in us not being able to stay at the hostel. After 5 MONTHS of back and forth expedias customer service assured us the money had been refunded. Yet nothing arrived and after trying to contact them for over a month, they are ignoring my emails. This is a total scam.
booked and paid an B&B. In description they mentioned bookings are not allowed in less than 48h. I booked a few hours in advance( no warning/not blocked) I arrived and tried to call the owner on 2 numbers serval times but no answer. Book an other hotel via expedia on the same day. Expedia took my money and didn't want to refund (the owner of b&b doesn't want to refunded because we didn't called him) After calling to costumers service for over 40min. I lost my money! see: my review on google maps :The Court of GerardoLa Corte di GerardoExpedia didn't published my review on there website!!!! (without any notice)
Horrible app. Can't find my booking code from itinerary number. Its booked by another email but even if I type that it can't find anything.
Expedia is a ripoff all they want is all your money. I booked a flight and they charged me 25% more than the airline website be very very careful with these thieves. Better off with kayak of similar which direct of the proper website
If only I could give 0 stars. We booked a fully flexible and refundable stay, but it took almost two months to make the simplest possible change to the booking and get a refund for 1 night out of the 14 that we had initially booked. I had to talk and write to Expedia almost 10 times before Expedia finally "managed" to amend my booking and deigned to process my refund request.
stay awayt from this company. You wil receive no confirmation for bookings and contacting them or the booked hotel is unpossible.my money is gone but it won't happen again. Hopefully i can warn potential customers.
Really bad experience with booking flight tickets through Expedia. 3 days in a row tried to book the same ticket. After filling in all the personal and payment information, I had a long wait till the booking was confirmed. After verifying the creditcard another long wait and then.. the error message that the selected price for the flight is not available anymore. The price I booked for went from €3300 + to €6000+!!! DOUBLED!! I tried to do it the next day, same situation and then on the third day. Still the same story. This is very strange. Feels like a set off.. so no recommendations for booking with Expedia. Big disappointment. ‼️
I rented a car in Mexico from Expedia website. When I was in Mexico the rental company scammed me for almost 3000 euro. My worst car rental experience.I contacted Expedia several times afterwards and complained about what happened. Every time they told me they will follow it up. But so far ,after almost 3 month I do not have an answer from Expedia. Terrible customer services. Will never book anything via Expedia anymore.
Poor service. I booked my flight using Expedia. My flight was cancelled by the airline but I was placed on another flight leaving at the same time by the airline. The email about the change was sent to Expedia which Expedia never informed me about. My booking was not showing my flight and when I called their customer support, they still did not tell me about airline placing me on another flight with the same itinerary instead they changed my itinerary. After 3-4 hours of calling Expedia and Airline customer support and sacrificing my sleep, I was very frustrated. I would not book with Expedia in future again.
Very scummy company. Due to circumstances my wife that to cancel 2 tickets (follow up trips) and it was an incredibly bad experience. The dont actually follow-up so you have to call 3 times, each call taking at least 20 minutes. And this happened twice. And after 20 days later, well after the promise to refund with a maximum of 10 working days, the still hadnt refunded. And when they finally did they withheld a "non-refundable tax from the airport"at the tune of about 20 euros. We fought this and they agreed to refund that as well. That tax is just a cash-grab from Expedia and I wonder how much money they make per year scamming people with it. Bad company, will never buy again and rather pay a bit more (the time and frustration was worth far more than the small monetary saving).
Not trustworthy!!I booked a Brussels Airlines flight from Brussels to Manchester end of May via Expedia to leave on 2 Dec. Because of Covid, I could make 1 date change free of charge and no additional fee when fare was same price. Tried to check in today with Brussels Airlines and Expedia has not confirmed the date reservation from July to Dec in their system. Reasons: I haven't paid my fare (not correct), the flight tomorrow is cancelled (not correct), I didn't pay the difference in fare (not accurate & I haven't any email requesting this payment). So I can't fly tomorrow. And I lose the cost of the flight paid. And they raise their vocies when they talk to you. My advice: don't travel via Expedia. Up to you though....
I have a nightmare with your support last 2 days where nobody wants to help me. I want a refund on the flight ticket, but your support is not helping. We booked a package which can never be called a package since the flight is going to somewhere you cannot reach the hotel we booked. Also you are referring in the contactform to a number which all expedia support is saying its free and holding is up for 2 hours on the line with saying they will not help us further if we quit the call, which costed me 250 euro's to call you for 3 hours waiting on your support, this is really maddness. I will post a detailed review on every platform about Expedia and all the evidences I have if this case will not be solved within 48 hours.
I booked a package of flights and car hire through Expedia via their on-line system with one itinerary number. With my flight arrival at 21.30, the booking system offered a car hire rental with pick up of 22.00. It was only after paying and receiving confirmation that I was informed that the rental desk actually closed at this time. I tried, and failed, to reach the car hire company to advise them of my concerns but got no response. It is impossible to get through customs and on the pick up bus before the closure of the rental desk. It was closed. I have told Expedia that it should not be bookable on their site and no future customer should not have to go through the same experience and be stranded at that time of night at the airport. (I have since done a simulation and it is still bookable - so beware) Expedia would not give me a refund as the car hire rental refused to refund. This stressful situation could have been avoided if Expedia took away this option on their booking site.
NEVER buy your tickets at Expedia!!!!!!!!!!!!!I bought two tickets for Universal Studios Hollywood ($220) and when I arrived at the park (on the right date) the tickets weren’t working.I was on the phone with Expedia while sitting un front of the entrence for TWO HOURS, to then hear they couldn’t help me. They told me the only thing they could do for me is refund their tickets en that i should buy new tickets at the entrance of the park. So that’s what i did. And now, after waiting 3 weeks for my refund they tell me that i will not get a refund because these were non refundable tickets……..😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡Very unprofessional and totally unacceptable!!!!!!!
We are 5 days ad Apolonia4. Good location. Close to many amenities. Clean en tidy apartment. Good services from Lison Breaks. We have a nice holiday in Lisbon

Top 5 Effective Ways To Spot a Scam Website [VIDEO]

There are many types of fake sites in the online world. We have some good news. Watch the video below to see the 5 effective ways you can spot a fraudulent website in 2024:

How To Remove Your Information From the Internet

Whether you like it or not, unfortunately, the Internet has all your personal information stored. How did that happen? Every time you visit a simple site and accept cookies, consent to their forms, or download an app, unscrupulous data brokers collect not just your phone number, name, AND address. They also sell this to third parties, which creates a $1 billion industry a year. Your collected personal data is used by buyers to send you never-ending spam emails, targeted ads, and, of course, telemarketing calls. Crooks use all your data without remorse.

We can help. Many people have asked us about how to remove your personal information from the Internet. If you want your data deleted entirely from the online world, contact our official partners at Incogni immediately. This legitimate data privacy tool works on your behalf to officially require a ton of online brokers to remove your data.

Our staff verifies that this service works and is trustworthy. For robust, essential protection, their Standard plan is a steal at just $8.29 for individuals, and you can extend that crucial peace of mind to your entire household with the Family plan (up to 5 users) for only $16.49. They also introduced the Unlimited plan starting from $14.99 that covers not only automatic data removals, but also unlimited custom removals available right away upon purchasing the Unlimited plan. It allows users to submit websites not yet covered by Incogni and get their data removed from there, too. They also offer a free exposure scanner that will give you an insight into what data of yours is exposed and where.
