Is examine.com Legit?

I've been using Examine.com reserach for years now and it is my go-to for solid and well-researched health, nutrition and supplement information.Their emails are also pretty much the only email I love reading every time it reaches my inbox! Always, informative, often entertaining and full of relevant and interesting information. Thank you to the team for your amazing work!

In a world full of misinformation it's so gratifying to find a source of unbiased (well as unbiased as humans can be given bias is one of our evolutionary survival traits) health and medical information. Bravo!

I am 69 years old. I was diagnosed with RA several years ago. I did not tolerate the medication that the MD tried me on, and I was hesitant to jump into another medication regime that came with so many unpleasant side effects. Keeping in touch with my rheumatologist, I searched for other treatment options, targeting ways to get my immune system modulated. I found some good sources of help (including Pub med) for addressing my food choices, exercise, sleep hygiene, stress management, supplement choices, etc. I have been fortunate to be successful, so far, in keeping my RA in remission; because of my success (symptoms subsided, my bloodwork improved), my rheumatologist gave me his blessing. I was so glad to come across the Examine site, which since I found it has been a solid source of information that I can turn to when I need to vet what I find on health strategies through personal research, or when I just want to know what their research has turned up regarding health.Examine’s summaries of their research into the plethora of studies out there regarding how to be at a personal optimal state of health (using food, supplements, exercise, etc.) are so valuable to me in a variety of ways, because what they share on their site is all backed by well-done scientific research. When I’ve checked their site, I’ve had all of these experiences, at one time or another: 1. I felt validated in the practices I was using. 2. I was made aware of a few practices that I was using that were relatively pointless, according to science. So I stopped them. 3. I was made aware of new practices I could incorporate to remain healthy. 4. On their site I could find helpful information so that I could be more efficient with my health practices, either through the substitution, consolidation, elimination, trimming, or rearranging the way I was doing things.I want to be clear that there is nothing on their site that says you can forget Rx meds and just “go natural.” My decision to manage my RA in the way that I do is a personal choice. If my health in that area starts to falter, I will attempt to augment my health strategies with medication prescribed by a physician. Regardless, the Examine site will continue to be one of my most trusted resources for health information. So, I’m dating my “experience” for today, but my experience with Examine started years ago, and as I said, it will continue.

The team at Examine is dedicated to providing a resource that tries to tackle the very complicated and miss communicated realities around supplements and health. Real people, with real commitment to trying to help us all get the most out of supplements and food. No BS, no click bait and example of how all journalism should be conducted. Examine is one of the best sources to go to for many subjects.It is evidence based and they’ve a fun but serious way of transferring information!Also, very available when you contact them!

It’s been 8 years since being diagnosed with stage 3A inoperable lung cancer. Shortly afterwards I discovered examine.com, from which I learned about immune system support and acted accordingly. I can’t say enough good things about this wonderful resource. I went through chemo and radiation with minimal discomfort and today at almost 80, I remain healthy and active. If it weren’t for examine.com, I’d be wasting my time with multivitamins... or maybe I’d be dead by now. 😐

I am so glad that I recently resubscribed to Examine.com. I’m really enjoying and appreciating the overhaul they did to their site. The way info is organized and presented is smart and appealing. It’s in more of an executive fashion which saves me time but I can also dive deep quickly if I want to. Also, I am serendipitously being exposed to interesting things that I might not have noticed or looked for. Well done!

Examine.com is hands down BEST Customer Service you will find in ANY industry!!Why?Prompt response to questions would be an understatement!!Incredibly friendly would be an understatement!!Helpful would be an understatement!!ALL companies Should “Examine” the culture there bc I would bet…. It starts at the top bc every interaction I have had since being a member has been enjoyable!Not to mention the content is INVALUABLE & I am a Doctor!!!They score 10’s across the board…Just sayin’!

If you want up to date, fact based review - Examine is what you need. I've been going to them for precise answers I can trust for around 5 years- never steered me wrong. Excellent resource- that my children now use. Highly recommend *check out the new YouTube they have too- it's wonderful!

Examine.com is by far the greatest asset in simplifying processes to give out nutrition advice. At our gym we base everything on whats current & up to date, and this used to be challenging having to scour google scholar/pubmed etc to find studies/evidence for us to help our clients. Examine has made this process a lot easier, as its easy to use, impartial, and summarises the findings of studies in easy to use ways. If you're a coach or personal trainer, or anyone in the healthcare or fitness industries for that matter I'd highly recommend investing in examine.com!

The best, and honest assessment for research done in nutrition, with all the 'grey shaded' areas explained well, and with no agenda to push except for honest advice on what works and what doesn't. Well worth my subscription fee, and the fitness guides are also excellent! The April-fools-day emails are always a good laugh too!Highly recommend these genuine and intelligent people.

A good database, not entirely up to date for the latest trends/supplements. If you are very knowledgeable about a particular product or supplement you will probably find that they are not that precise but for a 360º view prior to further research it's very useful

The material written by the good folks at Examine.com is presented in a factual, easily read and understood, unbiased manner that is worth its weight in gold. If you are not a member, I highly encourage you to become one ASAP. Nowhere else, absolutely nowhere else will you get this level of information on a wide variety of health-related topics. The best investment you will make!!!!

Examine.com simply does what nobody does. They study the studies and try to make sure that the vast literature in nutrition and health is objectively evaluated and not left intangible and/or subject to bias. Additionally, they honestly care and actively try to get better in what they do!

I've been reading Examine.com for over five years, and it's the first site I go to when I have questions about any kind of supplement. I love that they are verifiably unbiased, and that they revisit and amend information when new evidence becomes available. I also appreciate that they actively work to improve and transparency across the board.

Really great website. I find all the information about supplements I need. It's extremely well researched. You can read all the scientific literature behind any statement if you want. The information is reliable, they aren't trying to sell you anything. A good example of a great website. Keep going guys!

As someone who was a "lab rat" in the past, I greatly appreciate this blog. I especially appreciated the thoughtful piece on peer review--brought up many of the points that the layperson may not know. I always look forward to reading the balanced, rational assessments of the subject matter. Thank you so much!

I was looking to get specific and to the point instructions on what supplements are the most likely to help me with my health issues. Having spent many days researching other scientific topics, I know how hard and time-consuming it can be, thus decided to pay someone to do it for me. I figured it's a worthwhile investment, since it grants a lifetime access to all the updates that your team will make on the guide. Having all the new and old research summarised in a guide such as this every year is really valuable, in my opinion.Overall I would say that I got almost exactly what I wanted from it, but I wish the guide was a bit more specific and less confusing.

There are several other sites which provide useful and ostensibly unbiased health supplement information, but Examine.com is easier to use. Moreover, it is much easier to ascertain whether a benefit is low, moderate, or high. No other site does that as well. Their research seems to be very thorough.
