Is eshakti.com Legit?

I had ordered from this company for several years and had always been pleased with both the quality and timely manner of delivery. Until now. I ordered one dress in April and one in July, and have taken to emailing them almost weekly. I have neither dresses nor responses. I used to recommend eshakati. I now will warn against them.

I love the fact that you can customize your order according to your own measurements. Plus, you can change the length of your dresses, sleeves and neckline right on their website so you can see how the outfit will look. The quality of the material is excellent and the tailoring is precise and well made. I appreciate how well the item is packaged so there is minimal steaming. I look forward to getting my outfits delivered right to my door and have never been disappointed with my purchases. Thank you eShakti!

I am trying to place an order. The web site says they are unable to process payment due to technical difficulties. My previous order took several months to process, was incomplete and I asked for and received a refund after a long wait. I am concerned the company is going bankrupt. Does anyone know anything about the current status of eShakti?

I used to love this company and ordered from them all the time. However, as of August 2023 the company is NOT operational. They still have a website and will take your money for orders but they WILL NOT make/ship you any products. They will not respond to customer service emails/phone calls. They are not operating anymore! Do not order from them anymore! If you have ordered from them, initiate a chargeback with your credit card company immediately!

DO NOT ORDER FROM ESHAKTI. I was a faithful customer for several years but the order I placed in February has not been fulfilled, nor will it ever be. The CEO is under indictment for stealing millions, and since August 2024, employees are locked out of factories.

After years of placing orders that were maybe a little slow but generally great, all reports are that they have now shut down, yet their ecommerce site still operates and takes orders (and money!!). No orders have been fulfilled since at least early 2024, possibly back to 2023. My own order from March '24 has not been received, and I have not received any responses from multiple customer service form submissions.

So, I've used eshakti a lot in the past and been very happy with the service. I even got my wedding dress from them in 2020. Unfortunately, they seem to be experiencing a lot of problems at the moment. (May 2024) After waiting nine weeks, I just today received three out of four of the items from my most recent order. I tried multiple ways of contacting them during that time and found their customer service largely unresponsive. I finally got a reply to one email after saying that I would have to ask my credit card company to stop payment if I didn't get an update.DEFINITELY DO NOT COUNT ON THEM FOR CLOTHES FOR AN IMPORTANT EVENT. You will NOT receive your order within the 4 weeks they promise. However, here's the crazy thing, I might still order from them again, with the expectation that I'm not going to see what I order for about 10 weeks and that I'm not going to get any updates or shipping notifications in that time. It's that freaking hard to find cute women's clothes 1) with pockets and 2) that don't stop mid thigh for some reason. Their stuff actually is cute and well made AND quite cheep for the quality. I guess it's true; fast, cheep, or well made; you can only pick two. I hope they get the company back on track soon. Right now it's still kind of worth it, if you're only ordering things for next season.

I use to order from eShakti regularly, I love the fact you could adjust the item and the quality was spot-on, but the last 3 or 4 orders I placed took 3 to 4 months to arrive and that was only after me sending several emails. I placed my last order in early January of 2024, it was supposed to arrive Mid February, by late March I still hadn't received anything so I cancelled the order. I'm done.

What is going on over there?! I have been ordering from eShakti for a while and loved their quality .. but what the heck is happening as of late?? I ordered two dresses in March and never heard anything .. took several emails to get the 'problem with fabric' message that other shoppers have; I asked to get the order cancelled and have yet to receive a refund! Out $$ now and really needed those dresses for an event!

This is no longer a legitimate company. They were great in the past but now all they do is take your money. Their phone doesn't work and they don't respond to emails. I am out $800!!! Please listen to the other reviewers with the same story. This company needs to be shut down and its website removed. I waited for months for my merchandise and now it's too late for a dispute with my credit card. How is this legal?

I work customer service, and I've ordered from eshakti many times, so trust me when I say sharing this gives me absolutely no pleasure. I think this company is dead or dying. I started noticing delays with my orders in 2023, but at first I assumed it was just growing pains. Now, after placing an order in May, I still haven't received it. I tried calling customer service at the two month mark, and after a minute on hold I was sent to voicemail--as someone who works CS this is a signal that the department is inundated. I emailed and replies took over a week. They said fabric was backordered and my order would take another five weeks. Well, I wanted the clothes so I decided to wait, but that date blew past and there were still no updates or changes to my order status. Finally, after contacting them for a refund and getting no reply, I decided to file a dispute with my credit card company. In my experience disputes often take about a month for a result, either positive or negative. Well... less than 24 hours after filing a dispute I had my money back. In full. I don't know what my credit card company knows that I don't, but I am telling you it is NOT good. I am so sad, and so sorry that a company I loved has deteriorated so thoroughly. I hope all the eshakti employees--if there are any--are ok!

DO NOT ORDER FROM ESHAKTI! As of today, October 4, 2024, I am still waiting for an order I placed in March. In addition I still haven’t received a credit, refund, or gift card for a previous order that I cancelled after I paid for it. I cancelled that order because it didn’t arrive in time for the event that I ordered the dress for in the first place. They have the $249 that I paid back in March. I’ve emailed customer service multiple times. They stopped responding in June, 2024.

FRAUD - Company is out off business. The company has not returned any emails for a purchase on 20 May 2024 with the payment processed through Amazon Pay. The customer service phone numbers are disconnected. They are still taking order and payments.

I ordered a dress in February, received a package in June that contained 2 sweaters that I did not order. Followed the return instructions, verifying the receipt of the return with photo of the tracking screen. Cannot get my money refunded though I also sent photos of the box and contents. They will not respond.

I placed an order on 18 December 2023, it arrived 17 April 2024. Regardless of the international shipping (which itself was subpar; UPS' performance was appalling), that timeframe is not acceptable. I have marked two stars as the workmanship on the ordered products is excellent and I am sorry those workers are let down by the "organisation". Something has gone terribly wrong in eShakti in recent months; they simply don't respond to messages sent from the order portal nor their FB Messenger account. Multiple emails to "Customer Champion" eventually got an inaccurate template reply. I lodged a complaint with Better Business Bureau in March 2024 which may have expedited shipment. I requested a refund for the shipping and that request hasn't any response and I don't expect any effort at goodwill will ever be forthcoming.I caution anyone ordering via eShakti - be prepared to take a risk on paying for an order and waiting without any communication.

COMPLETE SCAM. Avoid eShakti at all costs unless you want to be robbed. I gave them $180.90 USD on 5/18/24 and never received my dresses.What's worse is I emailed eShakti customer service 8/30/24 with no response.eShakti is a scam company that will rob you if you try to order from them. I don't know how the owners can live with themselves keeping the website online when the business is non-operational. The owners must have been raised by parents who taught them it is OKAY to steal from others. Absolutely shameless people.

Order placed May 20, 2024. By July still nothing. Communicated with company then by July 27, 2024 still no order so requested a refund. told I would receive full refund and details to come. Nothing happened. I still have no dress and no refund.

Do not purchase from this company. I ordered a dress in June and have nothing to show for the money I spent. I have emailed the company 7 times. They have responded once, after my initial email. Their reply was purely to placate me. Nothing since. Total rip off company.

I used to order from eshakti all the time- I have several dresses from them, and get compliments on them all the time. I used to tell people where I got them. Not anymore. The last two orders took two months to get. They send gift cards as apologies… okay. The last dress I ordered, I accidentally ordered the shown style instead of the personalized one. I realized an hour later and called, left a message asking to cancel it. No response. Called, sent several emails, no response. Finally, I just happened to look at my app and it said it was cancelled.No notification, email, phone call, nothing. Now, I ordered the right dress in the middle of March for an event in a week and a half, and no word. Will I have it for the event? Don’t know. The dresses used to come within 2-3 weeks. I could even be okay with a month. Now eight+ weeks? I think I’m done.Update- I cancelled my order on June 16- three months after I ordered- and a month later, I’ve still not received my refund. I’ve submitted complaints to the Better Business Bureau, the Federal Trade Commission, and E Commerce. What’s infuriating is they are still advertising, as if their company hasn’t been turned into a sham. I don’t want people spending hundreds of dollars on a company that used to be great, and now is a sham.

EShakti used to be great. Now they just take your money and never send you anything. Total fraud. It;s ridiculous that they leave their website up and take orders. They aren't sending anything, and because it's in India and takes a while, it will likely be too late to reverse any charges by the time you realize you've been ripped off. DO NOT USE
