The Scam Detector website Validator gives escentsaromatherapy.com a medium-risk trust score on the platform: 66. It signals that the business is best defined by the following tags: Known. Vetted. Low Risk.. We are confident about our score as we also partner with other high-tech, fraud-prevention companies that found the same issues. So, why this score? We came up with the 66 score based on 53 aggregated factors relevant to escentsaromatherapy.com's industry. The algorithm detected a slightly lower risk for activity related to phishing, spamming, and other factors, noted in the Known. Vetted. Low Risk. tags above. Long story short, we recommend staying vigilant and using common sense when engaging with this website. But let's explain in more detail.
Explaining Our Analytical Approach
We've displayed some important information within the Company Details section above, each deserving more explanation:
- Proximity to Suspicious Websites
- Threat Profile
- Phishing Profile
- Malware Score
- Spam Score
- Domain Blacklist Status
- HTTPS connection
- Domain Creation Date
While some are self-explanatory concerning escentsaromatherapy.com, let's dive deeper into the remaining ones.
Proximity to Potentially Harmful Websites
This metric gauges the connection, scored on a scale of 1 to 100, between escentsaromatherapy.com and websites marked as suspicious. Elevated scores point to a stronger link with these questionable online destinations. It's worth noting that website owners might not always be aware of their site's proximity to these dubious platforms or servers. However, a "Proximity to Suspicious Websites" score surpassing 80 strongly indicates a high-risk website, while a score below 30 signifies a less-threatening site.
Risk Factors: Threat, Phishing, Malware, and Spam
These indicators reveal the vulnerabilities and elements embedded within the HTML code of escentsaromatherapy.com. They become especially pertinent if the website has received reports from internet users who've encountered unsolicited emails, ads, or messages related to the site. In the context of escentsaromatherapy.com, our investigation continues working to pinpoint the specific category, but we welcome your insights in the comments below. A high Malware score generally implies the presence of suspicious code that might be unknowingly disseminated. Conversely, a high Spam score hints at a possibly spam-ridden email address associated with the business. Scores under 30 in both categories are reassuring, but any score surpassing this threshold should raise concerns. escentsaromatherapy.com is likely a safe website, given all the risk factors and data numbers analyzed in this in-depth review. Share your experience in the comments.
Domain Blacklisting Status
This term indicates whether escentsaromatherapy.com has landed on any online directories' blacklists and earned a suspicious tag.
Assessing HTTPS Connectivity
This section provides insight into whether escentsaromatherapy.com boasts an 's' at the end of the 'HTTP' protocol listed in your browser's address bar. If the tab displays in green, consider it a positive sign.
Safe Check
We want our trust scores and reviews to be as accurate as possible so that you can protect yourself from online fraud. Our algorithm aggregates factors that efficiently analyze a company's website, in this case, escentsaromatherapy.com.

“They will take your money but not give you product in return”
Wow... so disappointed. I've been to the shop in Victoria and it was great! The staff were incredibly knowledgeable and helped my mom and I find what we were looking for. I was thrilled to learn they had an online store as I live overseas. Fail! I placed my order over a week ago, they took my money straight away and I'm still waiting for any sort of communication from them. I cancelled my order and no one has (a) refunded my money or (b) reached out to find out what the problem is.
“Dishonest company... lies to its customers”
Bought their dot diffuser which comes with lifetime warranty. 3 months later the diffuser broke. I contacted head office in Vancouver since all their locations in Toronto closed down (now I clearly see why). They told me to send back the diffuser to their head office and they will send me a replacement pronto. It has been 2 years and I have yet to receive that replacement. I have tried to contact them via phone, email repeatedly but to no avail. After careful due diligence, I discovered that Escents is notorious for lying to customers and for being non-responsive in after-sales customer care. Shame on you Escents. You guys deserve to go bankrupt based on how you treat and lie to your customers.
“Miss labelling on products”
Miss labelling on products. Said Aluminum free deodorant and it's not. They thin their aroma blends with vegetable oil that causes they diffusers to break down. I also noticed that they use palm oil in their soap. YUCK. I walked into one of their mainland stores and saw a box that said 'Escents Aromatherapy' hand milled soap Made in China. I thought they advertised as a Canadian Company?
“Such a dishonest company”
It looks like I am not the only person that has been mislead by online purchases. I placed and order and received one item of the 6 on the order. I was told that they did not have the others in stock and they will send them to me as soon as they have the items in stock. It has been 9 months and I have received nothing. As far as communication goes, I have sent numerous emails and also several phone calls and all communication has been ignored. Absolutely a group of scammers working out of a vacant warehouse it seems. They should be shut down!
“I had never heard of Escents products when I was living...”
I had never heard of Escents products when I was living in the US (since in North America, they only have stores in Canada). In Taiwan, you can find these guys in any department store. The Escents section of the store always smells great, and you can tell that their products are of the highest quality. The prices in the department stores in Taiwan for Escents aromatherapy products are pretty steep. When I found this website (which offers free shipping over $100), I was really happy since the prices are much much more reasonable. Compared with department store prices, you can easily save 33% to 70% on the website. The website features different special deals and sales, and their email list will notify you of different specials going on. I personally use their diffuser with essential oils at nighttime, and it really has improved my quality of sleep. They also have great soaps, skin care products, hair care products, and body care products. Check them out and try them out.
“Bad Business”
They have never refunded me for a $13 product and still owe me a back ordered product It's been one month and even after several polite requests... nothing. No response that is just bad business
“Totally this company is a fraud.”
If You purchased items from their official website and yet the company wont delivery any ordered goods to you and ignore all your message! Yet the company still survived! Scammer cheater fraud money
“Disappointing Service - Won't Buy their product Again”
I purchased a few products during Escents' Black-Friday sale in November 2018. In December I received an email from Customer Service informing me that one of the products was out of stock and would not be available until January so the item was being removed from my order and a refund would be made to my credit card. After 2 weeks I hadn't received the refund so I emailed Customer Service to inquire about it and also to communicate that it would have been nice if I was initially given the option of a refund or keeping the product on my order and waiting for it to come in. I indicated that I would still like the back-ordered product as long as I didn't have to pay the shipping fee. I was pleasantly surprised that Customer Service communicated that the refund was processed and because of the inconvenience they would send the back-ordered product at no-charge once it was back in stock. By mid-February 2019 the product had not arrived and there had been no communication from Escents so I sent an email to Customer Service to inquire if the product had been shipped and to let them know I had not received it. I received no reply. I have since sent 2 more emails, left a phone message with Customer Service and even left a phone message with Human Resources - because who do you contact at Escents when Customer Service doesn't respond and no one answers a phone live? So what was at first a kind gesture has turned into a very disappointing experience and one that has influenced my decision to not purchase from Escents again. I have since read some of the reviews of Escents on GlassDoor and my experience with them now makes even more sense.

Top 5 Effective Ways To Spot a Scam Website [VIDEO]
There are many types of fake sites in the online world. We have some good news. Watch the video below to see the 5 effective ways you can spot a fraudulent website in 2024:
How To Remove Your Information From the Internet
Whether you like it or not, unfortunately, the Internet has all your personal information stored. How did that happen? Every time you visit a simple site and accept cookies, consent to their forms, or download an app, unscrupulous data brokers collect not just your phone number, name, AND address. They also sell this to third parties, which creates a $1 billion industry a year. Your collected personal data is used by buyers to send you never-ending spam emails, targeted ads, and, of course, telemarketing calls. Crooks use all your data without remorse.
We can help. Many people have asked us about how to remove your personal information from the Internet. If you want your data deleted entirely from the online world, contact our official partners at Incogni immediately. This legitimate data privacy tool works on your behalf to officially require a ton of online brokers to remove your data.
Our staff verifies that this service works and is trustworthy. For robust, essential protection, their Standard plan is a steal at just $8.29 for individuals, and you can extend that crucial peace of mind to your entire household with the Family plan (up to 5 users) for only $16.49. They also introduced the Unlimited plan starting from $14.99 that covers not only automatic data removals, but also unlimited custom removals available right away upon purchasing the Unlimited plan. It allows users to submit websites not yet covered by Incogni and get their data removed from there, too. They also offer a free exposure scanner that will give you an insight into what data of yours is exposed and where.
