   eSaverWatt.com - Scam? General indicators (for me) say, "YES". First, here it is, July of 2023 and THIS article says Elon Musk wants these devices in every home by 2022. A year later? Nope. Red flag #1. Second, as most scams appear to operate, there's a discount if you hurry and make a purchase in the next five minutes. Why? Well, of course, limited supplies are very nearly gone. Red flag #2 for me. Third, it is easy (so they say) as all you need to do is plug it into the outlet nearest your power panel (breaker panel). Later in the article, they say customers are buying two, three, or more of these devices. Why? Red flag #3. Fourth is at the very end of the article where a disclaimer says, and I quote: "The information provided herein should not be considered as a substitute for the advice of a medical doctor or other healthcare professional." Healthcare? HEALTHCARE?? What the He-- are they talking about?? WTF!!! This isn't even CLOSE to being associated with a health service/article. Red flag #4. This is, most certainly, the nail in the coffin for me.

   I was an electronics engineering major in college and do have some understanding of the scant information provided on how the Esaver Watt device works. The website displays two graphs: one graph showing electronic "noise" and the other showing wave amplitude and wave distortion between volts and amps (which are related but different measures). electronic signal noise and amplitude spikes and dips (brownouts) are taken care of by surge protection devices. You can purchase whole house surge protection devices for $200 plus the electrician's fee for installation. Individual surge protection (usually UPS - uniform power supply) can be purchased at most retail outlets for $25 to $120 (with battery backup), and they supply clean power. Out of phase signals are rectified at the transformers (which are very expensive and in the domain of the power company's grid) handle the out of phase signal, and that is done before it reaches your home. Protection/surge devices must be placed between the appliance and the plug receptacle, In other words, in-line. Plugging the Esaver into a convenient receptacle cannot backup its influence to the rest of the home circuitry. Only a whole-house surge protector attached in-line between the main power source and the circuit box can perform that function for the entire home. And yes, that will prolong the lifespan of appliances and electronic equipment you use in your home. But will those devices actually reduce your power bill? Maybe 5%, but don't expect miracles because you will be sadly disappointed. The main purpose of power supply surge/brownout protection is to provide the cleanest possible signal to your electronic devices and appliances. Testimonials cannot be trusted as people are paid to write them. In statistics (I also have a masters in mathematics), anecdotal (testimonial) information can only be used to collaborate research findings - not as proof. Final analysis: It's a bunch of B.S. (The website address entered below I must assume is the website for the offending device falsely advertised. Most individuals like me do not have domain names or websites.). If it sounds too good to be true, it probably isn't.

   I came to this site because this is what showed up on my 2/8/25-3/7/25 credit card statement: \"Post Date: 2/28 -- Trans Date: 2/27 -- Ref# 2120 -- Transaction Description: VESAVER*ESAVERWATT ESAVERWATT.CO FL -- Amount: $14.95\" We do not recall ordering this. I have NO receipt that we ordered this. We did order the Ultra Air Heaters in December of 2024. We paid for them. This $14.95 charge was on our December 2024 statement and was on our January 2025 statement. I thought the 12/24 charge was in relation to the heaters. I must have over looked the charge on the January 2025 statement because we owed nothing on that statement. In fact on that statement we had a credit. After a diligent search I have found a phone number. Will be calling them in the morning, since this is Sunday evening. Yes, I view this as a scam!!
