elfontheshelf.com Review

The Scam Detector website Validator gives elfontheshelf.com one of the higher trust scores on the platform: 90.8. It signals that the business is best defined by the following tags: Authentic. Trustworthy. Secure.. We are confident about our score as we also partner with other high-tech, fraud-prevention companies that found the same results. So, why this score? We came up with the 90.8 score based on 53 aggregated factors relevant to elfontheshelf.com's industry. The algorithm detected little high-risk activity related to phishing, spamming, and other factors, as noted in the Authentic. Trustworthy. Secure. tags above. Long story short, we deem this a secure website. But let's explain in more detail.

Explaining Our Analytical Approach

We've displayed some important information within the Company Details section above, each deserving more explanation:

  • Proximity to Suspicious Websites
  • Threat Profile
  • Phishing Profile
  • Malware Score
  • Spam Score
  • Domain Blacklist Status
  • HTTPS connection
  • Domain Creation Date

While some are self-explanatory concerning elfontheshelf.com, let's look closer at the remaining ones.

Proximity to Potentially Harmful Websites

This metric gauges the connection, scored on a scale of 1 to 100, between elfontheshelf.com and websites marked as suspicious. Elevated scores point to a stronger link with these questionable online destinations. It's worth noting that website owners might not always be aware of their site's proximity to these dubious platforms or servers. However, a "Proximity to Suspicious Websites" score surpassing 80 strongly indicates a high-risk website, while a score below 30 signifies a less-threatening site.

Risk Factors: Threat, Phishing, Malware, and Spam

These indicators reveal the vulnerabilities and elements embedded within the HTML code of elfontheshelf.com. They become especially pertinent if the website has received reports from internet users who've encountered unsolicited emails, ads, or messages related to the site. In the context of elfontheshelf.com, our investigation continues working to pinpoint the specific category, but we welcome your insights in the comments below. A high Malware score generally implies the presence of suspicious code that might be unknowingly disseminated. Conversely, a high Spam score hints at a possibly spam-ridden email address associated with the business. Scores under 30 in both categories are reassuring, but any score surpassing this threshold should raise concerns. elfontheshelf.com is an authentic, safe website, given all the risk factors and data numbers analyzed in this in-depth review. Share your experience in the comments.

Domain Blacklisting Status

This term indicates whether elfontheshelf.com has landed on any online directories' blacklists and earned a suspicious tag.

Assessing HTTPS Connectivity

This section provides insight into whether elfontheshelf.com boasts an 's' at the end of the 'HTTP' protocol listed in your browser's address bar. If the tab displays in green, consider it a positive sign.

Safe Check

We want our trust scores and reviews to be as accurate as possible so that you can protect yourself from online fraud. Our algorithm aggregates factors that efficiently analyze a company's website, in this case, elfontheshelf.com.

Online Reviews of elfontheshelf.com

  • Score: 1.7
Just echoing all of the other reviews to be honest! It was just absolutely rubbish and underwhelming in every single way. No official photos with Santa, no personalisation, a cheap sticker book that wasn’t even wrapped up for a gift. The biggest waste of money I’ve ever spent. Please listen to these reviews and don’t waste your money.
What a disaster! So disappointed! Just a room with various boring things to touch! No elves to interact with just pictures on the wall. Parents and kids just roaming round not knowing what to do and waiting for an experience which doesn’t happen! No professional photos taken with Santa as one of the staff said “well no one ever buys them” ! If you want a photo have to take a selfie with a Santa that is just roaming around not interacting with kids at all. Waste of money but more than that it’s spoilt the magical experience of yearly trip to see Santa. Bluewater you should be ashamed!
I wouldn't even rate the elf on shelf experience a 1 star.Absolutely shocked how bad it was and we have been visiting since 2016 with our first born. The kids were bored and confused on what it even was, no Christmas spirit atall! A sticker book for a gift and a selfie with santa and off you go. Total waste of money. Please revert back to the old experiences. I don't think you will get anything more than 1 star from all parents for the sham that it is this year. Real shame as my kids were really excited.
Waste of money, children did not enjoy it at all! A vast space with various activities aimed at younger children! Seems other parents felt deflated by the whole experience as well!
What a waste of money. We have gone to Bluewater’s Santa experiences for years and always praised them and was genuinely excited for a new take on a Santa experience. However, it was rushed. An empty room with a couple of activities suitable for maybe 3-5 year olds? A magnetic tree and a Santa sat for a photo with a pile of sticker books. Not personal, not worth the nearly £100 spent on it. Every parent in there looked liked they regretted it. Surely Bluewater Management knew how underwhelming this was after their run of good Santa’s workshops? Waste of time / waste of money
My order qualified for free shipping however I paid for express delivery to ensure my children got their items for Christmas However they use royal mail 48 hour tracked and as we all know royal mail are anything but express Royal mail have had my parcel stuck in Northampton for 3 days and whilst I understand this is not their fault when I contacted them They told me it's tough they don't guarantee express delivery and to pay to return the items They made no offer to chase up the items with royal mail or offer to refund the express shipping fee I clearly wasted my money on They just did not care You would not expect this from a company calling themselves elf on the shelf and apparently aimed at children for Christmas Disgusting
It’s no where near as bad at bluewater that the other 1star reviews say. The kids 3 of them 5,6and 7 had a great time. Yes the sticker book is a bit cheap but then the price isn’t anywhere near as expensive as some other locations. Personally I loved the free play the elves were great interacting with all the kids. One had an elf on the back of his head and was helping people take pictures with Santa he was funny and had people laughing. One elf was very softly spoken but so wonderful with the kids, playful she just had all of us really feeling Christmas. Only issue I had was the Santa. He didn’t seem to know what he was doing and ask what do I need to do to the elves. Sounded like an old man. My son asked how can Santa deliver presents if he’s is fragile and forgetful. Over all I’m happy though. And the elves made it for me they were wonderful.
Would not say this is for all ages under 5 maybe.Wish tree is an inflatable you stand at, decorate a tree is a wooden magnetic tree . The elves did not look like the scout elf all the kids recognise at all! Snowball throwing didn’t exist. A bland room with some colouring, button pressing and photos.Wouldn't recommend at all.
This was very poor, Do Not Waste Your Money. Not magical at all, just a disused retail outlet with some activities in it. My son actually asked me ‘is this really the north pole’ which was really quite upsetting. I am really surprised that Bluewater allowed this as we had a really good experience there last year for Father Christmas. Kents very own Willy Wonka Experience. A waste of money that actually started my son asking me questions that he would have never asked if they had just spent some money and made some effort instead of profiteering!
This experience was described as “a never-seen-before interactive, theatrical experience that will transport you to the North Pole on an immersive adventure where you'll help the Scout Elves spread Christmas cheer by completing a series of magical games and challenges, including making a wish at the wish-gatherer, Christmas tree decorating and snowball throwing!” This experience was nothing as described above! In fact it was shocking for the price paid. I took my two kids aged 4 and 2 and other than doing some drawing and sticking magnets on a wooden tree, there was nothing magical about the experience. They each got an elf on the shelf sticker book which I’ve seen sell for about £1.19. This was a complete waste of money and really not sure why adults pay £6.50 each! The kids spent most of the time, which felt rushed, just running around could have done that for a lot cheaper at a playground. Honestly don’t waste your money.
From start to finish the ‘adventure’ was disappointing for both my boys ages 6 and almost 2, especially by 6 year old who came out disappointed which was of course really horrible to see. Our experience we had could not been further from how you described it and definitely not immersive. The setting was not magical, there were very few decorations, lighting was bright, we were told we were entering the North Pole, the look on my sons face when we entered was something i will never forget. Unfortunately it was an experience we will never forget but not in the way we had hoped. Please avoid!!
Don't order a letter from Santa from them. I ordered on November third and still no letter. Emailed them and still no letter..emailed again and no letter..once I realized what a great scam it Is to charge $7 a pop for an item that doesn't exist, we agreed on a refund since they were never sending a letter at all. We will see if I get refunded sometime in this next month. Happy holidays to anybody who isn't a scam artist :)
It was badly organised. We were stuck in there for three hours with an 18 month old child. Each room you were in it dragged on to allow the crowd in the next room to move on first. There was two lines of people to see Santa so was stuck in a line for way to long. My sister asked to leave she wasn’t feeling well and was told she couldn’t as the way out was where santa was so to get out you had to wait for Santa. Because it was delayed so long water should have been handed out for kids. We were booked in for 10 to 6 so there was no hot food left just Pringles buns and some chocolate. For two photos it cost 25 euro which I thought was expensive. Some people thought the photos were included in the booking price so didn’t buy them. I was there last year it seemed more organised. The people I went with all said they wouldn’t go again and I myself won’t go anymore.
I came to bluewater for this event with my twins, I had an amazing experience and they absolutely loved it. Staff were amazing and interactive and the girls even got to meet Santa eventhough this wasn’t the purpose of my visit to this event, just an added extra! We then picked up our gifts which were lovely sticker books, the girls were delighted. I would highly recommend as an additional Christmas activity!
Not sure why it has a theme of elf on the shelf, it’s has nothing based on it once inside. It wasn’t very fun and didn’t feel Christmassy at all!! The gift if a sticker book was a bit rubbish and could have been better and a meet and greet per family with Santa would have made the experience a lot better. Wish I chose elsewhere!
Such a disappointing experience! It was rushed, the kids are basically left to do whatever they want with basic entertainment and then given No warning when it ends, leaving my friend's little girl in tears! No festive spirit, the elves didn't really interact. We came in a bit late and didn't realise the stamp card you got given at the beginning was to be used to collect a gift at the end, which was then downstairs!!! Santa was around but not great... absolute waste of money and time.
Absolutely disappointing experience. We have been going to this place for so many years now. It was always such a magical and fun experience. My children were so looking forward to it this year. But they were also very disappointed this year. Even a small grotto in your town/city will be better than this one. Absolutely waste of money. We did not feel festive at all and the whole experience was rubbish. The staff were also not nice and were hurrying us up to get out from there. There was no special festive room to meet Santa. He was there out and about and we could take pictures from our phone. Very disappointed
Complete waste of time and waste of money. The experience was so rushed and no activities for kids. There were some random things/ games around which was even boring for kids, no activities like in previous years. The worst santa experience at Bluewater so far. Not worth the price.
I would have given zero stars if that was an option! I’m still unsure what the experience was. SO disappointing and all the other parents there thought the same. Absolute waste of money! Do not go! We did Wishmas in London last year and thought it was going to be like that but it wasn’t- just one room with a few rubbish activities and an opportunity to have a photo with Santa but of course you’re expected to pay for the photo. Rubbish colouring book as a gift. A really bad money making scheme!
We took our 4 year old and our 1 year old to the Elf on the Shelf adventure at Bluewater! I was skeptical after reading reviews so expectations were low. But it was clear they have taken on board the reviews and tweaked the experience. Both kids got the official sticker book which they loved from Santa himself not the kiosk and they've moved Santa from the green screen so you can actually get the good photo! A very kind Santa too who didn't scare the kids so that was a bonus! There was plenty to do for my two kids in the 25 mins! My 4 year old loved all the challenges eg decorating the magnetic tree, snowball tester and ring toss! She also loved calling the elves in the phonebox! Maybe if your kids are older it may not be the right thing but it absolutely hit the spot for us, we would love to do it again next year! It was the perfect addition to a shopping day as the kids got to play and run around!

“Very bright, cheerful and colorful”

Very bright, cheerful and colorful. This would be great for kids and adults of all ages to watch together. The store has elves of all shapes and sizes you can buy for yourself or gifts. It is set up as if the website was an elf adoption agency, which is a cute, unique idea. They call the checkout cart Santa's Bag. When you go to My Elf you can customize it I guess that part of the site was down when I visited. Otherwise easy to navigate and worth the time for the experience.

“Wonderful site!”

Wonderful site! If you have a child age 4-7, then you want to get this asap. It is a little elf that sits on a shelf and "Watches" your child and then reports back to santa to let him know if he/she has been naughty or nice. Clever idea and kids love it!

“Excelente”

Estan hermosos los productos, lastima que me falto uno pero me ayudaron sin duda seguiré comprando, lo recomiendo mucho!

Top 5 Effective Ways To Spot a Scam Website [VIDEO]

There are many types of fake sites in the online world. We have some good news. Watch the video below to see the 5 effective ways you can spot a fraudulent website in 2024:

How To Remove Your Information From the Internet

Whether you like it or not, unfortunately, the Internet has all your personal information stored. How did that happen? Every time you visit a simple site and accept cookies, consent to their forms, or download an app, unscrupulous data brokers collect not just your phone number, name, AND address. They also sell this to third parties, which creates a $1 billion industry a year. Your collected personal data is used by buyers to send you never-ending spam emails, targeted ads, and, of course, telemarketing calls. Crooks use all your data without remorse.

We can help. Many people have asked us about how to remove your personal information from the Internet. If you want your data deleted entirely from the online world, contact our official partners at Incogni immediately. This legitimate data privacy tool works on your behalf to officially require a ton of online brokers to remove your data.

Our staff verifies that this service works and is trustworthy. For robust, essential protection, their Standard plan is a steal at just $8.29 for individuals, and you can extend that crucial peace of mind to your entire household with the Family plan (up to 5 users) for only $16.49. They also introduced the Unlimited plan starting from $14.99 that covers not only automatic data removals, but also unlimited custom removals available right away upon purchasing the Unlimited plan. It allows users to submit websites not yet covered by Incogni and get their data removed from there, too. They also offer a free exposure scanner that will give you an insight into what data of yours is exposed and where.
