electrifybike.com Review

The Scam Detector website Validator gives electrifybike.com a medium-high trust score on the platform: 78.9. It signals that the business is best defined by the following tags: Known. Standard. Fair.. We are confident about our score as we also partner with other high-tech, fraud-prevention companies that found the same issues. So, why this above-average score? We came up with the 78.9 score based on 53 aggregated factors relevant to electrifybike.com's industry. The algorithm detected a low risk for activity related to phishing, spamming, and other factors noted in the Known. Standard. Fair. tags above. Long story short, we deem this website low risk, but you still need to pay attention to details and use common sense when engaging in online transactions of any kind. But let's explain in more detail.

Explaining Our Analytical Approach

We've displayed some important information within the Company Details section above, each deserving more explanation:

  • Proximity to Suspicious Websites
  • Threat Profile
  • Phishing Profile
  • Malware Score
  • Spam Score
  • Domain Blacklist Status
  • HTTPS connection
  • Domain Creation Date

While some are self-explanatory concerning electrifybike.com, let's dive deeper into the remaining ones.

Proximity to Potentially Harmful Websites

This metric gauges the connection, scored on a scale of 1 to 100, between electrifybike.com and websites marked as suspicious. Elevated scores point to a stronger link with these questionable online destinations. It's worth noting that website owners might not always be aware of their site's proximity to these dubious platforms or servers. However, a "Proximity to Suspicious Websites" score surpassing 80 strongly indicates a high-risk website, while a score below 30 signifies a less-threatening site.

Risk Factors: Threat, Phishing, Malware, and Spam

These indicators reveal the vulnerabilities and elements embedded within the HTML code of electrifybike.com. They become especially pertinent if the website has received reports from internet users who've encountered unsolicited emails, ads, or messages related to the site. In the context of electrifybike.com, our investigation continues working to pinpoint the specific category, but we welcome your insights in the comments below. A high Malware score generally implies the presence of suspicious code that might be unknowingly disseminated. Conversely, a high Spam score hints at a possibly spam-ridden email address associated with the business. Scores under 30 in both categories are reassuring, but any score surpassing this threshold should raise concerns. electrifybike.com is a low-risk website, given all the risk factors and data numbers analyzed in this in-depth review. Share your experience in the comments.

Domain Blacklisting Status

This term indicates whether electrifybike.com has landed on any online directories' blacklists and earned a suspicious tag.

Assessing HTTPS Connectivity

This section provides insight into whether electrifybike.com boasts an 's' at the end of the 'HTTP' protocol listed in your browser's address bar. If the tab displays in green, consider it a positive sign.

Safe Check

We want our trust scores and reviews to be as accurate as possible so that you can protect yourself from online fraud. Our algorithm aggregates factors that efficiently analyze a company's website, in this case, electrifybike.com.

I ordered a CYC x1 pro gen 4 for 92mm bottom bracket. They sent me one for a 100 mm bottom bracket. It causes my chain line to be to far out causing me to lose the use of two gears. I have been trying to get ahold of them for a month. They won't answer there phone . They keep trying to get me to make a consult appointment which I refuse to do after spending $1500.00. They have the worst customer service of any company I have ever seen. I will say I like the product but that is not them. Service is the worst.
The product received seems to be good quality. Unfortunately the company appears to be either; experiencing growing pains (which is a good sign), or, something not so great.I would purchase from them again, because the product is made well enough to outweigh my experience.I was on the fence between 2 or 3 stars for a few different reasons, but decided to go with 3 because I believe they are trying. However, the room for improvement in areas like communication and accuracy, were very close to greying out another square. With some updated systems and more modernized protocols, I think Electrify can shine.
I've used this company for two projects, they helped me will both a Bafang 750W & 1000W motors and a couple of batteries. If I have a question, they always answer within 24-hours, even my dumb questions. Sometime this week, I will be placing a third order for another Bafang 750W for my new Sun Baja Trike. I once tried to ask a couple questions of another dealer with "Bafang" in their name, they never replied.
Honestly this was by far the best experience I've had spending money.Blake assistant me during the design process and purchase process I ordered a model y for my wife and a model X for me super excited can't wait for our first tripBeautiful looking Bikes So far a five-star for customer service I will review again after my first trip
In the world of ebike conversion kit sellers you need to be careful. Many kit and battery vendors sell less than quality products, especially the batteries, and can be less than trustworthy. I was very lucky to find ElectrifyBike, a great company located in Utah. They sell quality products and they back them up. I have bought two complete CYC Photon kits (including batteries) from them so far. I have called and messaged them several times with questions and have always received a response within a day -- unheard of these days! I had to return a couple of items and received an immediate refund, no questions asked. Also, they gave me a discount on my second kit. Their website is full of extremely helpful info and articles. If you're in the market for an ebike conversion kit or battery, I would highly recommend ElectrifyBike!
Just wanted to update my review of Electrify Bike Co. Can't say enough for the way they have come back with their response and efforts with regard to having sent the wrong battery (smaller 48v verses a 52 17.5ah Shark) and as well replaced a 500C Display that was not functioning correctly. It was later explained that they were in the process of moving to a new location, and issues with the order were lost in the shuffle—understandable. While it did take over a month to receive the correct parts, all is good and taken care of. I will purchase my next eBike build through Electrify. Continue the great support guys. Thank You Mark and Kevin—appreciated!
I bought their CYC X1 Pro Gen2, BAC2000 Controller, 750C Color Display, 32T Bike Chain ring, right half-twist throttle, 72v-50 Amp-8Ah battery, EBC Universal Smart Charger, brakes cut off sensor kit and pedal/ crank removal tools. I put it all on a Target Schwinn Ascension 29 bike and fiddled for about three days on/off but it installed sweetly. I only ran it once so far and can easily hit 33 mph. Drove with pedal assist (9 levels) and throttle mixed for about 10 miles and used half battery. Simply amazing and my face is sore from smiling the whole time. Electrify Bike people helped me by phone with some questions and were A-1. Will be using bike for work commuter with BIG hill in way. I'm just a regular dad with over 200 lbs and this bike hauls me around no problem. Huge hill...no problem. Does not come with USB phone charger port or lights. No regrets at all and very satisfied.
Highly recommend! Especially if your not a perfect pro yet on working on your bike. Extremely responsive and helpful support. I had to email them at least 20 times as my project had a few issues and they helped walk me through it every time. You want to go through a company like this that supports there product not just buy it of amazon or get it from China. 6 Stars
Bought a CYC Photon Motor. Assembled on Bike. Chain ring will not grab chain on 12sp setup with 38T chain ring. My personal guess is that a 38T is not compatible with 12sp chain. Have emailed a number of times with limited to no response. How hard is it to ask me a ? About my situation rather than either giving me a one sentence reply that’s not relevant. No reply when I write back. My advice: don’t sell a product that you can’t support. In my opinion the value add is not there unfortunately.
Awesome customer service in the consultation process. I learned more in a 25 minute phone call from Adam O. than I did in over a month of internet research.
I'm very please with all the assistance that Adam gave me and will use his company for furture needs.
What an absolute chore to work with, hope to never have to interact with them again. Website inventory constantly out of date, shipping estimates way off, communication incredibly slow and uninformative. Not sure exactly what era this company is actually operating in, but it isn't the here and now.
This company was good to deal with at first but they have become a complete nightmare. I have an issue with the display . They took over 2 weeks to get back to me. Then I finally got someone to contact me and they said they would get the problem resolved. two more weeks went by no contact. Then I tried to reach out again , no contact. Then another week. Then Finally a contact they had sent the return to the wrong person. So they sent me the return label but it was for the wrong person that they sent the return for in the first place. I asked repeatedly for a new mailing label with MY NAME on it after nearly 10 request I am still sitting here with the return label with JOe's name on it not mine. FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUU. I wish I could give a negative 10 review.
I've been dealing with the folks from Electrify for about 3 years now and I'm completely happy with the service and support.
This is a brief summary of my experience with Electrify Bike Co. over the last month or so:I've been a cyclist for over 60 years and was still riding about 8,000 road miles a year on my Trek and Salsa road/gravel bikes at age 81 when a car hit me from behind last December, breaking the left clavicle, left foot and six ribs on the right side. That of course meant a pit stop. After a couple of weeks of inactivity, I dusted off an old Greenspeed GT3 that was sitting unused in my garage and managed to crank out a few miles on that until a friend recommended adding a motor to help with hill climbing. Not knowing if I'd ever recover enough to get back on a 2-wheeler, I was on the verge of buying a Catrike with a Bosch e-drive from a dealer when a neighbor listed a used Terratrike Rogue on Craigslist. He had converted a similar machine to e-power using a Bafang motor and was very pleased with the configuration. Googling, and with the help of ChatGPT4+ I stumbled on the Electrify bike website and its promotion of the Taiwanese CYC equipment. The CYC control system, with a combination of toque sensing, speed sensing and "adlib" throttle, was particularly attractive. So, I bought the used Terratrike and scheduled a pre-order phone meeting with Mark Ostrund at Electrify. With my prepared list of questions, the phone meeting was very productive. A presales consultation with a non-local vendor should be part of every sales process (phone is good, Zoom possibly better). The following morning, I submitted an online order for a CYC-centered e-drive system (with controls, cables, etc.) with an Electrify Bicycles Shark battery. The order was handled, packed and delivered in a surprisingly short time, all packaged carefully in protective foam. An inventory check discovered one missing throttle clamp screw and undersized battery and speed sensor extension cables (extra length needed for mounting the battery aft on the trike). These were quickly corrected by Electrify Bicycles by Priority Mail. Even before receiving those parts, I had the system assembled on the Terratrike and on the road. The original Terratrike configuration consisted of a rear Enviolo internal hub CV drive with twist grip control, and a front Metropolis 2-speed internal bottom bracket drive with a Shimano handlebar shifter. The mechanical inefficiency of those transmissions made pedaling a workout. The CYC motor replaced the Metropolis drive and took about an hour to set up. The downloaded CYC PDF manual is very clear, unlike the typical mangled English text from other Asian manufacturers. I had also purchased a "chain gobbler" and chain tensioner from Terratrike. The gobbler is an idler to allow changing the trike frame length without having to add or subtract chain links; the tensioner is basically the bottom section of a rear derailleur to absorb torque shocks from the motor drive. On the first ride out of my garage the system worked flawlessly (except for the absent speed sensor input, which resulted in the entire system timing out every 5 minutes because it "thought" I was standing still). Once the speed sensor cable arrived, performance was indeed flawless. Pending receipt of the battery cable extension, I also mounted the battery forward on the boom just aft of the motor. This worked fine except for some oversteer with so much weight ahead of the CoG. Moving the battery to the rear rack above the wheel made weight and balance perfect and still left enough room to hang panniers on each side of the battery on the rack. The detachable battery with a key lock to the base plate is excellent; I can quickly remove it for charging or even charge it right on the trike. In terms of drain, because I use the electric drive mostly as a granny gear, I estimate my range per charge to be about 300 miles. In normal pedaling, I set the torque mode to zero and very sparingly advance the thumb throttle to scoot through intersections when traffic is heavy. On longer climbs, I set the torque to Mode 1, which I have set to a max of 300W; it's enough power so far for all situations I've encountered. At this point, with about 500 miles on the trike, I have lots of praise for Electrify Bicycles for their responsiveness to my few issues and to CYC engineering and quality assurance. The motor is super compact and fit and finish are of Swiss watch caliber. The noise level is low, much quieter than others I have heard that sound more like a Hoover Dam turbine.
Bought a battery from them for my Ebike. I was having issues with it cutting out mid ride. Dead. Paid to send it back to them. They kept it for a month and sent it back to me. Same issue. Contacted CS and haven't heard from them since. Guess I'll take it as a ($320) loss. Would not recommend.

How To Remove Your Information From the Internet

Whether you like it or not, unfortunately, the Internet has all your personal information stored. How did that happen? Every time you visit a simple site and accept cookies, consent to their forms, or download an app, unscrupulous data brokers collect not just your phone number, name, AND address. They also sell this to third parties, which creates a $1 billion industry a year. Your collected personal data is used by buyers to send you never-ending spam emails, targeted ads, and, of course, telemarketing calls. Crooks use all your data without remorse.

We can help. Many people have asked us about how to remove your personal information from the Internet. If you want your data deleted entirely from the online world, contact our official partners at Incogni immediately. This legitimate data privacy tool works on your behalf to officially require a ton of online brokers to remove your data.

Our staff verifies that this service works and is trustworthy. For robust, essential protection, their Standard plan is a steal at just $8.29 for individuals, and you can extend that crucial peace of mind to your entire household with the Family plan (up to 5 users) for only $16.49. They also introduced the Unlimited plan starting from $14.99 that covers not only automatic data removals, but also unlimited custom removals available right away upon purchasing the Unlimited plan. It allows users to submit websites not yet covered by Incogni and get their data removed from there, too. They also offer a free exposure scanner that will give you an insight into what data of yours is exposed and where.
