Is egyptair.com Legit?

One of the worst airlines. Flight was supposed to leave at 1pm got delayed to 4pm flight arrived only at 4.45pm and then no boarding. Boarding was only at 5.30 no explanation given and flight left at 6 !!I had a connection to aswan which i missed. And no one was willing to assist in the airport. Finally got a flight at 11.30pm when arrived at aswan the luggage was missing !!Had to wait till 1.30am to report the issue. Was informed that will deliver the luggage to the airport but never did. Had to pay a cab 600 egp to go and collect the luggage . Never reimbursed as well !!!! I had 4 flights on this airline all 4 was delayed . Dont ever book on this

I travelled with Egypt Air and had a disappointing experience that I feel compelled to share. Upon arrival at my destination, I discovered that my luggage had been damaged the wheels totally snapped off. I immediately reported the issue to the airline staff, who assured me that my claim would be processed.However, what followed was a frustrating six-month wait for any sort of resolution. Each time I followed up, I was met with vague responses and delays, which only added to my frustration. It felt as though my concerns were being ignored. Eventually, I received a minimal contribution towards the repair costs.The lack of timely communication and accountability from Egypt Air is unacceptable. Travel can be stressful, and when mishaps like this occur, passengers expect a certain level of service and support. Unfortunately, my experience has left me with a negative impression of the airline. I urge Egypt Air to improve their customer service processes and ensure that passengers are treated with respect and urgency when issues arise. Until then, I cannot recommend flying with them.

I would never travel with EgyptAir again. They don’t care about passengers. If things go wrong, you’re on your own. They do anything but help you, it’s just endless fobbing off.

Terrible service, got food poisoning, delayed by 4 hours, worst airline ever

Everything you read and get told about them is true, racist and terrible airline and unhygienic don’t know how they are allowed to operate, also lost my bag after a week and didn’t even reply when you ask for compensation. I would personally never travel with them even if they offered me a free ticket for life. Disgusting company.

So first the trip MS 731 that should travel from Cairo on the 9rh of September in the Direktion of Berlin should Start at 11:45 and it started at 15!!!!!!No compansation for this delay I booked a train to my destination AMD paid 60€ and due to the delay I passed my train and I had to buy another ticket which Costa me 120€!!!!!Inside the airoplane the aircondition Was very cold and my husband asked for a blanket and the reply was no more what is this and even the lady did not care to help!!!!!!

My two young children were isolated by the staff on the 5hr flight. The other children were offered beverages while mine went without even a friendly smile. When I needed assistance as my youngest had fallen asleep on my arm, I was completely ignored several times. I truly believe that they should stop allowing people they deem “unworthy or subhuman”to purchase tickets, saves everyone the hassle of having to go through what myself and my children went through. If anyone reads this, please rather use another airline, you’ll thank me later.

Very bad airline they charge for calling customer service but never answer and just keep putting you on hold. Never came across an airline that does that specifically when they are charging for customers service calls which other airlines don't charge for.

I had a horrible experience with Egypt Air during a time of family crisis, and I would strongly advise anyone against flying with them. My elderly father was hospitalized in New York, and we had to make urgent changes to our flights from Rochester to JFK and then from JFK to Cairo. Despite providing a doctor’s note and notifying Egypt Air three days in advance, they showed zero compassion and charged us over $1,700 in change fees!While other airlines were incredibly accommodating and didn’t charge us a penny, Egypt Air’s customer service was shockingly rude. The representatives literally yelled at me when I tried to explain the situation, and they acted completely inhumane during a very stressful time. I cannot believe an airline could be so heartless.As if the poor customer service wasn’t enough, the airplane was ancient and filthy. It felt like it hadn’t been cleaned in years, making the entire flight uncomfortable and unsanitary. I will never fly with Egypt Air again, and I urge others to think twice before booking with them.

This airline needs overhaul to meet today's safety standards, has poor organization, cairo airport is heavily bureaucratic and no luggage until four days later in Dar es salaam.

Horrendous customer service, phoning their premium line in London, it took ages to get my phone picked. I regret travelling with Egyptian airlines. Try at your own agony.

The worst airline I had a double ticket I wanted to refuse but they do not respond at all. I have proof of all this

Don't ever buy tickets from this airline.We bought a flight from sharm el sheikh to Cairo on 22nd of August 2024. Flight was supposed to leave at 1235hr. Got to the airport at 10am, told the flight is slightly delayed. No problem. Sat at the airport waiting for update, after 8 hours no information from this airline and checked their website, flight has been cancelled and no one told passengers at the airport. People sitting there until around 2200hrs when passengers are told there is another flight they can catch to cairo. Eventually got another flight and arrived Cairo at midnight. Yes you got that right, midnight. A flight that is less than an hour took over 12 hours. Trying to get information from this airline about anything is like trying to get Trump to tell the truth. Virtually impossible I have decided to engage my credit card company to recoup my money from them as they are not worth the paper their name is written on.Terrible airline company

I've been trying to get through to Egyptair on the phone for days because I needed to make an amendment not available on tthe App and was thoroughly disappointed. Today Sept 3 2024, I topped up my phone with £20 of credit to cover the cost of their premium number cost I was left on hold for 2 whole hours from 1400 to 1600 and was cut off. I could've drove into their Hammersmith office from where I live in the time and money it took to produce no results. Prior to my call attempts I had sent an email to webbookingsupport at 12 :23 on Sept 1 2024, to explain my situation and requested assistance with no reply. There is something seriously wrong with the service or they are seriously understaffed. It's sad and I really hope they can improve because no company should have such a poor service. It's on the same level as scammers. PLEASE, PLEASE Egyptair if you read this review please get in contact. I have some positive ideas on how to improve your service.

4 flights out of 4 were delayed for not explained reason. Sometimes the delay was not even announced

I recently flew with EgyptAir from Brussels to Uganda, with a stopover in Cairo, and I can confidently say it was one of the worst travel experiences I’ve ever had. Not once, but TWICE, this airline managed to lose our luggage—on both the outbound and return flights. How does that even happen? It's beyond frustrating.To make matters worse, there was zero communication from the airline. No updates, no apologies, nothing. We were left in the dark and had to chase them down for any kind of information. It was like they just didn’t care about their passengers or their responsibilities.On top of that, both flights were delayed by over an hour. This caused us to come dangerously close to missing our connection flights, adding even more stress to an already chaotic journey.If you're considering flying with EgyptAir, do yourself a favor and choose literally *any* other airline. They are unreliable, unprofessional, and their complete lack of customer care is appalling. Strongly NOT recommended. Avoid at all costs!

They lost our bag, got it one week later but they are ignoring all claims for compensation. Terrible customer service.

After reading the reviews, I was quite discouraged from using this airline despite knowing someone that had flown multiple times with no problems but booked for the rates anyway.Flights were on time, luggage arrived safely - we opted to wrap our luggage bags quite thoroughly to avoid any damage but all was well and we were happy with the overall experience.1 short star for the meals, weren't the best but doable.

Terrible company. Got me home 7 hours late and no offer of compensation. Everything to do with trying to get re-routed when their delay messed up my itinerary involved navigating lies, arrogance, stressful conversations, moving goalposts and lots of rushing about. And, even when the processes work, the planes are terrible and the on-board service is non-existent. Avoid unless you're desperate.

Recent 2 international & domestic flight I found to be good, on time & efficient. Cabin crew friendly & helpful. Didn't expect a meal on less than a 5 hour flight so that was a bonus. Negative is safety checks for take off & landing were not good, seats remained reclined, cabin bags not checked safely positioned, less than a week after the Singapore airline death due to turbulence, crew not interested in whether passengers had belts or if casually walking around during turbulence.
