easytogrowbulbs.com Review
The Scam Detector website Validator gives easytogrowbulbs.com a medium trust score on the platform: 59. It signals that the business can best be defined by the following tags: Active. Medium-Risk.. We are confident about our score as we also partner with other high-tech, fraud-prevention companies that found the same issues. So, why this low score? We came up with the 59 score based on 53 aggregated factors relevant to easytogrowbulbs.com's industry. The algorithm detected high-risk activity related to phishing, spamming, and other factors noted in the Active. Medium-Risk. tags above. Long story short, we still see some red flags with this website. But let's explain in more detail.
Explaining Our Analytical Approach
We've displayed some important information within the Company Details section above, each deserving more explanation:
- Proximity to Suspicious Websites
- Threat Profile
- Phishing Profile
- Malware Score
- Spam Score
- Domain Blacklist Status
- HTTPS connection
- Domain Creation Date
While some are self-explanatory concerning easytogrowbulbs.com, let's dive deeper into the remaining ones.
Proximity to Potentially Harmful Websites
This metric gauges the connection, scored on a scale of 1 to 100, between easytogrowbulbs.com and websites marked as suspicious. Elevated scores point to a stronger link with these questionable online destinations. It's worth noting that website owners might not always be aware of their site's proximity to these dubious platforms or servers. However, a "Proximity to Suspicious Websites" score surpassing 80 strongly indicates a high-risk website, while a score below 30 signifies a less-threatening site.
Risk Factors: Threat, Phishing, Malware, and Spam
These indicators reveal the vulnerabilities and elements embedded within the HTML code of easytogrowbulbs.com. They become especially pertinent if the website has received reports from internet users who've encountered unsolicited emails, ads, or messages related to the site. In the context of easytogrowbulbs.com, our investigation continues working to pinpoint the specific category, but we welcome your insights in the comments below. A high Malware score generally implies the presence of suspicious code that might be unknowingly disseminated. Conversely, a high Spam score hints at a possibly spam-ridden email address associated with the business. Scores under 30 in both categories are reassuring, but any score surpassing this threshold should raise concerns. easytogrowbulbs.com is a problematic website, given all the risk factors and data numbers analyzed in this in-depth review. Share your experience in the comments.
Domain Blacklisting Status
This term indicates whether easytogrowbulbs.com has landed on any online directories' blacklists and earned a suspicious tag.
Assessing HTTPS Connectivity
This section provides insight into whether easytogrowbulbs.com boasts an 's' at the end of the 'HTTP' protocol listed in your browser's address bar. If the tab displays in green, consider it a positive sign.
Safe Check
We want our trust scores and reviews to be as accurate as possible so that you can protect yourself from online fraud. Our algorithm aggregates factors that efficiently analyze a company's website, in this case, easytogrowbulbs.com.
Online Reviews of easytogrowbulbs.com

Wish I had read online reviews before ordering. A very simple order of 20 gladiolus bulbs, 10 Arcadia and 10 Union Jack. Planted them respectively to complement some mature hybrid tea roses and to date 6 Arcadia out of 10 have sprouted (no blooms yet), only one of the ten Union Jack has sprouted, unlikely to bloom and one of the UJ corms was the size of a dime when it came time to plant. The time between order and receipt also was much longer than expected, so the bulbs went in before Fathers Day instead of a desired early May planting. Order date was 4/16/24 and while no ship date was recorded on the invoice, I did not receive the bulbs until June. I do not expect a refund or replacement. I will take this as a lesson learned to never order from this company again and that this review is helpful to other garden enthusiasts as to what to expect. In hindsight I would have been better off going to Lowe's or Home Depot where I could see the quality of the bulbs before purchase as it became obvious, especially with the UJ bulbs that no one there did.
I ordered 'Legolas' gladiolus (peach colored) in April 2023 after receiving a confirmation that they were back in stock. The gladiolus bulbs were in great condition (Gladiolus 'The Bride' was not and did not grow), but since I planted them late, only one bloomed in the season they were ordered (August 2023). It was a garish purple/yellow bicolor. (for a garden that is booked for weddings, so very bad color clash) Thinking the bulb color might be a fluke, I waited till this year (July 2024) to see what color the rest were. All have been wrong color. I sent my order documentation with pictures of the promised bulb and a photo of the actual bulb, but to date have received no response -- not even an acknowledgement of my request. I recently re-sent the same information as a second request. After sending the first request, I found a complaint from April 2024 on a similarly colored gladiolus where the customer received... purple and yellow -- not pink-- flowering bulbs. The facts point to a systemic (not occasional) problem based on reading other reviews, so I agree that this is a company that should be avoided. It was within their power to avoid this negative review. I did not go public with my experience until they failed to address the issue.
I ordered two 3-packs of Alstromeria plants from Easytogrow bulbs, and was delighted when they arrived this April….all of the plants were large & healthy, not root-bound, and in large pots (over 2 pints of soil)…not the skimpy 4” pots that are usual for mail-order nurseries. They were carefully packed… no damage during shipping. I will definitely order more plants from this outfit!
I bought Mrs. F.D. Roosevelt peony 3 years ago from this company on Etsy. You can imagine my surprise when the peonies finally flowered they weren't the ones I bought at all! I did email to ask what peonies I actually were sent but the customer service was unhelpful. You can't actually write a low review into their website, so that should give you an idea of what kind of business they're running.
Dont ever buy from this company. They sent me an already flowering silver lace vine that consequently did not grow because it already thought it had grown sufficiently to flower. It stands 1 foot tall. they refused to send me my money back!
I ordered the Tuxedo Calla Lillie’s back in very early spring. The first order of bulbs (approx 40 bulbs) arrived timely and were in good condition. Had my landscaper plant them in clusters of 5; 5” deep in well draining soil and 8” apart in a circle. So I ordered a second set (30 or so bulbs) and 80% of those came moldy, sold enough to push your finger through, and smelled horrifically. Contacted Easy to Grow via email with photos and descriptions. After a couple days I called them after they sent an email saying they needed more photos. I sent 10 photos grouping bulbs by color and condition. All were horrible. They finally decided to send me more. Those came and most were horrible as the second set I ordered. I thought I salvaged about 9 bulbs. So after properly planting them, about 14 spotted/germinated. And those are rather spindly. Then this guy John just emailed me a few days ago. Now it’s July 2024. He wanted me to give a review or let him know if I had a negative experience. Sent him what I’m writing here. All he did was respond saying they sent a replacement to my second order for free. Yet he didn’t realize those replacement bulbs were as horrible as my second order that ther were to replace. And out of 60+ bulbs, all I have is about 14 that sprouted/germinated and those are spindly?!?!?Waste of effort and expense as I had my landscaper plant the bulbs. And waste of a season. I just received a compilation of better online sources of bulbs from “The Spruce”. It’s a site that provides recommendations and reviews of/for various online shopping. They don’t mention Easy to Grow. I understand why they don’t. Easy to Grow’s horrific quality of product and apparent lack of quality control (they shouldn’t allow moldy, smelly bulbs to ship) is abysmal. For a list of quality online bulb sites, go to The Spruce.com and search “places to purchase online bulbs” Would really have rated them “0 stars”. Jeff Dawson Annapolis, MD
Horrible company! If I could give them no stars it would be too much! The roots I received in my order were nothing! All dried up and never grew. The corms of ranuculus never even grew and when I contacted the company all they would give me was a credit to buy more of their dead stock! It took 5 emails to finally get the items that did not grow refunded/ credited as they try to ignore your requests. Emails are their only way of communicating so that tells you something right there! They are way overpriced and their shipping charges are astronomical! Don’t bother with this company as you’ll just be wasting your money and don’t think you’re going to get a plant that no other company carries because it will only be dead roots!
Only received half my order, sent an email asking about the remainder. I got 3 different answers so I asked for a refund. The sent an email saying they will refund my money but they're not refunding the entire amount of the remaining products that I never received. Not only can they not ship on time they can't count either. Worst company I've dealt with and I will never be ordering from them again. I gave them almost 3 weeks to make it right. I placed my order May 2nd 2024 and got the run around on where the other half my order is even at. Told me once it was ready for shipment, then told me it was ready to packaged, finally told me it hadn't been received at their warehouse.
Fast shipping, plants came alive and in good condition. They were healthy and are still thriving several months later.
High quality bulbs - extremely slow shipping (over a month for items listed as "in stock" on their website).
Don't waste your money! I had a horrible experience with this company! I never received the tracking number of my order, nor the order itself. I have been writing to their customer support and after a month they finally replied. They do not want to take any responsibility for their failure and I didn't receive a refund. I am so disappointed! Never again ordering from them!
I ordered several different items. Several weeks later, most have arrived, I almost with they hadn't. Of the three amaryllis bulbs I ordered, one was half the size of a premium bulb and one had been growing for weeks in the tiny paper bag it was packed in, needless to say, that one is a bust. Of three cyclamen corms, one was completely desiccated and dead. Customer service was inept and not helpful, email replies didn't address problems reported or offer to help in any way. I wish I had looked here first before relying on their slick, professional looking web site. Thankfully, I received a large percent off my first order as a new customer, so I didn't lose too much money. I will never order from them again.
Plant received on time but failed to thrive. Customer service rep gave runaround saying I must wait longer. The plant is DEAD less than 3 weeks after arrival and planting. Dead plants do not improve.UPDATE, 6/5/2024 -- That plant is STILL DEAD.
I ordered 2 huge boxes of plants that were delivered yesterday. 1 box had been packaged so poorly that the tape fell off of the box, exposing the plants which were dead or beyond hope. The 2nd box was irises that were thoroughly dried out and filled with hardly any dirt. I immediately contacted the company via email with supporting photos. No response. There is no one there to answer the phone. SHOP ELSEWHERE
Pathetic, childish people, whom are corrupt and blame customers for it. I've been ordering since 2009 from these people. Around 2019 new ownership took over and has destroyed the quality and is now cheating people. When you call them on it, they blame you and then won't communicate. They pack things in fall and don't look at them again before they are shipped in Spring. The result is a rotted, smelly mess that shouldn't have ever been put in the box to fulfill an order. They hide from customers and restitution, and will condemn customers and make them the scapegoat for their bad behavior, never taking responsibility for the 1000s of bad reviews and complaints. Don't be enticed by the pretty pictures. It's not what you will get. You can see from the numerous other reviews on this site and others that I'm not the only one having difficulties with these Charlatans, by far! They are no friend of the gardening community, but prey off of it with their corrupt behavior to scam people.
As others have indicated, this company has horrendous customer service. If you engage them through the chat, the representative just acts shady and provides no real information (she just repeats useless information and even conflicted with herself). If you call them, they don't answer the calls and just put you into voicemail.
I ordered 3 plants 10 days ago and have yet to receive any updates without contacting them 1st. They continue to state that it is in process in their facility. Really? Poor customer service! I called and only get voicemail, no one has returned my call.
Terrible company to deal with. Placed an order in February 25, 2023 and 2 months later after numerous contacts from me, I finally got the order on April 26 - well into my planting season in central Florida. Ordered 8 different flowers and not one thrived. 1 of the flowers was recommended for zone 4-8 so I knew that was a gamble, but it never even emerged from the soil. Even normally easy bulbs like daylily, gladiolas and oriental lily din't bloom or didn't even emerge. I even ordered an Ixia mix with 80 bulbs....and not a single bloom! 80 bulbs! I got beautiful TALL grasses, with a couple of heads that look like papyrus, or weeds, but not one flower. All of that was bad enough, but the real insult came when I wrote to Easy To Grow Bulbs and never even got a response! I am better off going to my local nursery or hardware store to purchase plantings, because at least then I can take the failed plants back and get replacements or refund.
I ordered three Bat Plant bulbs for a cost of about $25.00. All three were shipped dead and moldy, and they were also very small - not large tubers as advertised. It was a good thing that I emailed them photos immediately after getting my package. I asked them about the mold and the size. Easy to Grow was nice enough to email me back right away to let me know that yes, these were not large, but size doesn't matter, but that was false advertising to say that the bulbs were large....also, the mold was OK and to plant them and let them know if it didn't sprout. I knew planting them that they were dead but I did everything they asked. I planted them and waited a month, nothing sprouted but they all rotted as I basically planted dead bulbs. I emailed them back and attached photos, and they said they would issue me a store credit, and only this one time, out of courtesy. I felt kind of bad, like I was the one who was either lying or did something wrong (neither my fault), but I got a credit and ordered some items I wanted. I had to pay for shipping so that came out of the cost of the credit. The good news was that everything they sent me this time bloomed: the lillies and the gladiolus, very healthy bulbs. I will keep ordering common items from them, but will stay away from exotic bulbs like the Bat Plant (tacca). I hope I don't have something go wrong again because of the experience that I had.
They had a pre-order "fall bulbs" sale in May. That is, all bulbs included in the sale were supposed to ship in the fall. Since I wanted to plant some more lilies this fall, I ordered some (the order page for the lilies confirmed they were supposed to ship in the fall). However, they shipped the lily bulbs immediately -- in May.The bulbs they shipped were from last fall's crop. They were all sprouted and some clearly rotten/dead. Out of the 12 bulbs that I ordered only two ended up growing -- weekly at that. I doubt they will make it next spring.Complete waste of money. Suggest others steer clear of this company.

“It's not "Easy to Grow" if they don't fulfill the order in a timely fashion.”
I placed a large bulb order at the end of July. In October, I started communicating with the service department to ask why I had not received the shipment. They claimed that one of the eight items ordered was waiting on the supplier and then needed to be quality-controlled. I sent several more pleas, suggesting that the rest of the order could be shipped, and asking them not to delay until the ground was frozen or the weather too severe. Now, Nov. 20, I am asking them to cancel the order and issue a refund. Tip for consumers:I asked for a complete refund of the purchase price. However, since I used a $100 gift certificate that I had purchased from them to keep them afloat during the pandemic, they would not refund it to my credit card. I was told I would be issued another gift certificate. Given, the poor fulfillment service, I would rather boycott this company, but I guess I am forced to do business with them if I don't want to lose my $100. However, I would urge others to submit their bulb orders elsewhere. Service Value Shipping
“Bad bulbs, bad guarantee back up”
I must have contacted them through email at least half a dozen times about 2 iris bulbs that died next to 1 that survived. The first few times they did not respond. They finally did when I expressed my frustration, as their site states they will offer a refund for defective product. They kept telling me to send pictures of the dead ones. Each time I did, they claimed that I still needed to send them the photo. Finally, my email stated that my email service was unable to connect to theirs. They make it impossible to reach them. I couldn't find a phone number either. They are totally careless about their customers.
“Never sent my order- fake tracking number”
I placed my first order on 4/10/20. I contacted the company on 4/30 asking to cancel the order and get a refund. The following day "Jess" reached out to me via email stating they had shipped my order and providing me with a tracking number. Tracking has shown pkg "in transit to UPS facility for 6 days now. I used amazon pay to pay for my order so I should be able to get a refund via amazon. I don't trust these people at ALL.
“Shop elsewhere”
I ordered 2 huge boxes of plants. 1 box arrived open with the plants exposed and dead or dying. The 2nd contained irises that were dried out and had no dirt. I've attempted to contact the company by email, phone, and Facebook to no avail. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! Service Value Shipping Returns Quality
“Nice product but erratic shipping and prone to cancel items”
I have ordered from Easy to Grow several times over as many years. They have a reputation for very nice bulbs, which they are. However, they do like to bait you in with a novel item which they will inevitably cancel and send all the other things you may or may not have really wanted. Over the pandemic, they seem to have been stretched thin. I always say I'll never order through them again, but they chum me in with a new thing every season. Now, if you are living in a place where you get hard freezes and it matters when you receive your fall planted bulbs, I would tell you to steer clear. The quality is great but I am afraid you won't be able to get them into the ground. I live on the West Coast and was able to plant my daffs and tulips around Thanksgiving. Later than I'd have liked. Probably not possible to do in Minnesota or Wisconsin. Finally, their shipping in general is slow. They must get their product from other growers. This is fine, but instead of holding things up for everyone, they should drop growers who cause them delays in shipping orders promptly. You will have a hard time getting ahold of them if the need should arise. You'll get your things, but on their time. Good product, increasingly bad customer service. Tip for consumers:Don't expect items in a timely fashion Products used:Belladonna, Narcissus, squill, anemone, freesia, fritillaries Service Value Shipping Quality
“Don't buy anything from them”
I placed an order over a month ago... they finally shipped. Guess what... outside of box was my name but inside shipping slip was for someone else in California. And I live in Florida. I contacted customer service, no one ever answered the phone. I left voice mail, no one ever called me back. I emailed to them, I got a reply from them 5 days later. I went on "Live Chat", all I got was useless apologies, empty promises that they will ship the replacement. When I chat again asking for update, they would say "your order was delivered". So story starts all over again. Long story short, the conversation went back and forth several times, did not get to anywhere, same apologies, same answers that warehouse was preparing for the replacement shipping, I should receive a notification. 2 weeks later, still nothing, when I asked again for update, and asked for refund, then they just stop communicating. Not reply for anything. I had to dispute my CC charges and I swear to myself never buying anything from them AGAIN. They are just useless and try to scam your money. Watch out! Top 5 Effective Ways To Spot a Scam Website [VIDEO]
There are many types of fake sites in the online world. We have some good news. Watch the video below to see the 5 effective ways you can spot a fraudulent website in 2024:
How To Remove Your Information From the Internet
Whether you like it or not, unfortunately, the Internet has all your personal information stored. How did that happen? Every time you visit a simple site and accept cookies, consent to their forms, or download an app, unscrupulous data brokers collect not just your phone number, name, AND address. They also sell this to third parties, which creates a $1 billion industry a year. Your collected personal data is used by buyers to send you never-ending spam emails, targeted ads, and, of course, telemarketing calls. Crooks use all your data without remorse.
We can help. Many people have asked us about how to remove your personal information from the Internet. If you want your data deleted entirely from the online world, contact our official partners at Incogni immediately. This legitimate data privacy tool works on your behalf to officially require a ton of online brokers to remove your data.
Our staff verifies that this service works and is trustworthy. For robust, essential protection, their Standard plan is a steal at just $8.29 for individuals, and you can extend that crucial peace of mind to your entire household with the Family plan (up to 5 users) for only $16.49. They also introduced the Unlimited plan starting from $14.99 that covers not only automatic data removals, but also unlimited custom removals available right away upon purchasing the Unlimited plan. It allows users to submit websites not yet covered by Incogni and get their data removed from there, too. They also offer a free exposure scanner that will give you an insight into what data of yours is exposed and where.

We’re more than willing to update your review based on the evidence you provide—the more proof, the higher your trust score. Please note, however, that we cannot verify non-operational websites or those redirected to other URLs. Additionally, we do not verify websites involved in high-risk financial services, gambling, adult content, or illegal activities.
