Just like everyone else said, it's a scam because it is intentionally misleading. It is phrased to imply that the “assistance” you are receiving will include sending your app to the US Gov site when really they are just proofreaders to catch any errors you might have made on your form.The transparent thing for EasyApply to do would be to state directly and prominently on the site that you will need to pay again when you submit your application. In great big red letters, it should say:“WE DO NOT FORWARD YOUR APPLICATION TO THE U S GOVERNMENT. OUR FEE DOES NOT INCLUDE THE FEE THE GOVERNMENT REQUIRES TO PROCESS YOUR APPLICATION.” But of course they’re not going to say that because they wouldn’t get any customers. My husband and I each paid EasyApply, so we are out $200+.

Do not trust Easy Apply as a US Passport service. Their site is so misleading. I thought I was submitting my application through them ands paid $128 for a form which I found out later was free on the .gov site. I however, payment never went to the state department in Washington DC . I was called by that office for the payment which they never received. I reported the fraudulent activity to my bank and to the SSA as Easy Apply is receiving personal information no that should have only been for the eyes of the US government. How do I know they won’t sell that information to other scammers! My request for a refund has supposed been escalated. I’ll bet very surprised if I hear back from them. Their site should be removed! Do not use them!

Complete waste of money. This company is nothing but a scam. They make money on people not paying attention and believing this is the passport or other official government website. You are paying for a form that you ALWAYS get free from the government, whether it be passport, social security etc. Do not use any website like Easy-Apply.us that does not have .gov in its website title. Its a scam!!! I paid $128.00 for what I thought was a passport. I feel so stupid. I gave my personal information and now I am having to contact my bank, the social security administration, etc.

Due to an apparent lack of vigilance on my part, I paid this company $128.00 to fill out a passport application online. It is a free form and I knew this but thought that it was a government service not a private company charging for something I could just have easily done myself using government resources. I sent off my app and got it back a month later asking for the fees I thought I had already paid. If a place does not have .gov after it, it is not the US government. Anybody can have .usI can see no real benefit of using that service. If it is labeled as "NOT THE US GOVERNMENT" I missed it.

Yes; I was embarrassingly that gullible. This online company is set-up to make you believe you're (in my case) dealing directly with a Social Security Office to renew my card. Scam. Charge to get a replacement Security Card which you can get for free at ssa.gov. I disputed credit card charge immediately. Sent Easy Apply an email to cancel but their email account was full. The real problem is that Easy Apply now has credit card and social number and other identifying info.

Like everyone else I thought I was on an official site, paying $65 as a processing fee. Instead, I paid for them to take my data and put it into a form--something I could have done for free. Worst part is they now have my SSN and other personal data. I called the next day and they agreed to refund my CC. I'll be monitoring this. Someone said they refund it, but then charge it again later. We'll see. Also I froze my credit reports with all three credit reporting agencies, just to be safe.

Predatory. Appears to be a passport application service and charges $89 not to submit your passport application, but to create a document that the government creates for free. These people tricked me into giving them all of my personal info.i was on the social security website to put in for my replacement card. When searching "apply online for first time passport" Easy Apply comes up. The site is set up to look as though you answer application form questions and it gets submitted after paying $65.00. Instead your sensitive and private information is taken without providing any service except a pre filled form that you still need to submit yourself at a post office or other authorized agency. After googling how to apply for a passport this site came up. It led me through the application process and charged me $65. After finding out what had happened, i tried to go back and look at this website again...I legit couldnt even find it without going into the e-mail and looking for the name of the website. Googled how to replace a sa card. Their website came up first. (I did not look close enough to see it wasn't the SSA. I needed to get a replacement SSA Card. This site popped up, had a ". Org" ending in their website, and was red-white-blue. Because it was an SSA card I was trying to replace, I didn't have a problem providing my social security number. Stupid! I never do that, but I really thought it was SSA. $40.90 later, and I get a statement saying they will be "mailing" me a packet of information. Sorry - didn't I just provide my info? I made a terrible mistake and submitted a request to renew my childrens passport through easy apply - us. Well, I have learned my lesson and I should have known better. I submitted the application April 9th and still have not heard anything about my children's passport. When I called to question status, he reperesentiative was on a poor line and I was disconnected twice. This is a fraud and I feel terrible as I provided personal information of my children. Actually if I could give a negative 10 I would. This company is disgusting. They take your money. After I ordered I found my SS card. I called the number on the download page. It didn't work. Then I called at 3:30 the next day and they were closed. I sent an email back to them to cancel and they never responded. I called customer service and they said I was past the 10 days I could to return or cancel the order. No where does it say this on the receipt or website. First search I made to renew passport was their link. Saw a.gov url in the description. They imply they will do your renewal- but they do t. It's a waste of money $65 to fill out a form a nim-wit can fill out. Save your money do not use them.

This site is still up and running. I don't even know how I got to that site because I had linked into the US passport site and this one came up and I was in a rush and that of course is when they get you. I should've known it was suspicious From asking for information that the US passport office wouldn't need. Now they have all my information and can freely use it to screw my identity. They have been reported to the FBI and if you two have been taken by them, please go to the FBI site and report them and maybe then they will get taken down. If even somebody as text savvy as I am, can get caught anyone can. All you have to do is not pay attention for a few minutes and boom, your identity is theirs. I did call them back and told them to either refund my money or I would call the police and they did refund it but then again I went back and noticed it had been put on my account again.
