Delivery was quick but the driver left it on the front door without advising he’d done so. The butchers / steak box were both tasty and quality and very much enjoyed. Still have a few items left to enjoy! 😋

The service was good, meat arrived on time. I thought for the price even with the promo reductions was expensive when I saw how small the joints were. I was rather disappointed with the pork 'crackling' shoulder joint only 500 g and meat was OK slighty too much connective tissue between morsels of meat , but though I tried hard and even ended up grilling the rind the rind to try and crisp it,didn't crackle at all. Taking the rind off the meat and tying it onto another piece of pork doesn't make at all for good crackling, so disappointed about that. It had no fat left under the skin at all, only the skin, so that's why its almost impossible to get it to bubble up and crackle. I normally have few problems getting pork crackling from my pork joints. Rather a miss especially when you take in the expense of buying in the first place. Won't be buying pork crackling again from DR.

Our first ever order arrived in an oversized polystyrene container, just two thin sheets of bubble wrap to protect the contents, which was clearly insufficient. One item was missing and of the others, four of the six containers had burst open. I had to gather the contents into the only plastic tubs I could find to store in the freezer. I phoned customer service and they were apologetic and offered to credit us for the missing item, as well as additional credit for the damaged packaging. The credit did not appear on our online account, so I emailed and they replied that the credit would be added to our next order. I emailed back asking how much credit was owing, as due to our poor initial experience, I was reluctant to place another order. I asked for a credit refund. I have heard nothing back in the two weeks since. Terrible customer service!

First order great. Second order a waste of money. Apparently there were issues with the carrier. Not my problem. So the goods will now arrive unfrozen after 48 hours and all you could do was blame DHL. Clearly you don’t think through a customer lens when we have waited in all day for the order. Great quality meat at reasonable prices. Delivered quickly and extremely well packaged. Can be transferred straight to the freezer or thawed and eaten. I have tried several products from Donald Russell and all have been excellent. I will certainly be back for more. Very well done!

I've been purchasing various cuts of meat and other products from Donald Russell for a few years. Their products are always of a high standard albeit a little more expensive however, as the saying goes....you pay for what you get.The staff are very helpful and courteous, the products are always despatched frozen and arrives in that condition.

Ive made many orders to Donald Russell and have been absolutely delighted with everything purchased we absolutely loved the the fillet steak burgers which we tried this year . The Chicken breasts Fillet steaks Pork steaks have all lived up to expectations. Everything packed secure and fresh and delivered on time.

Cannot fault the service. Order arrived as expected and I was very happy with most of the products. The slow cooked pork shoulder was superb, the artisan bacon sausage rolls not so much, but I guess that’s probably just a matter of taste. The sticky pork ribs deserve a special mention - our weekend guest was served them on the day of his arrival and spent his whole visit raving about how great they were!! Will definitely buy these again.

We don't buy a lot of meat generally, but DR quality is excellent. Steaks, burgers, sausages all good but some other cuts like beef rib trim are also great quality Much much better than supermarket meat and if you wait for offers the price is comparable/ sometimes cheaper

First time ordering from Donald Russell and first impressions are very good ordered two Chateaubriands on special offer and large beef rump joint good price as I got first order discount and free delivery.Arrived promptly and well packed only had one Chateaubriand so far but quality and flavour was very good. Size for two was plenty and gave us left overs for a very tasty indulgent steak baguette next day.Not sure why people say it’s frozen meat? it clearly states this on the web page bit naive I thinks as lots of things are frozen nowadays and in many case can be better than fresh.

I’ve used Donald Russel for several years. Everything ordered has been of a high standard. Might be a bit more expensive than some local shops but quality is outstanding. I live in England and there has never been a problem with delivery. I often recommend Donal Russel to friends. Wanting something special order from Donald Russel. You won’t be disappointed.

Have been ordering from DR for a few years now. The quality of their steaks is nearly always superb, there have been a couple of issues over centre fillet steaks not being "centre fillet" but these were sorted by customer service. I do find the prices quite high but the quality is excellent and the delivery service from DHL faultless. My only real gripe are the continual special offers that are very restrictive on quantity. One steak - really??

Their meat is always fantastic. I personally love the chateaubriands. They arrive frozen but that really doesn't detract from the quality and taste. Much better than my local butcher's fresh version. Donald Russell are now my regular meat supplier. Fast and efficient delivery too! Glad I found them

I use Donald Russell quite regularly, especially their promotions and on special occasions. I have never experienced as problem with delivery dates, although have had a couple of times when DHL haven’t knocked the door on delivery. Have always been pleased with purchases. We especially like the beef stir fry and steak and ale pies.

How Donald Russell does it I do not know but over the years I have grown even more satisfied with their service, quality and value for money. Fortunately, I have been given privileges to use a nearby neighbour's chest freezer which has allowed me to increase the frequency and quantity of my DR orders. Email alerts keep me on top of amazing offers which I definitely take advantage of regularly. I cannot recommend DR highly enough. A 5☆ operation!

Used to buy from Donald Russell some years ago and enjoyed great quality meat. Hoping to be a bit greener changed to a nearer supplier with recycable packaging but was tempted back by amazing offers from Donald Russell which included a superb chateaubriand. There are so many offers I am paying considerably less for my meat and enjoying every mouthful. As mostly only cooking for one can't eat fast enough to take advantage of all the offers as freezer is stuffed! Just one quibble what can I do with the boxes meat comes in?

I have used this company for years. The quality of meat and fish is excellent. Some of the ready meals leave room for improvement but we all have different expectations onvthat score. I'm a good cook ,For instance I cooked their venison medallions with a Farthingoe sauce I made this evening, perfect!!

We try to buy all our meat from Donald Russell. The quality and the taste are amazing. Yes it’s a little bit more expensive that a supermarket but the quality and taste are so superior that it is worth the difference. Our favs are the steaks / confit of duck / meat loaf / lasagne / burgers / sausage / pork chops. All good and even better when they are on offer
