destinationxl.com Review

The Scam Detector website Validator gives destinationxl.com a medium-risk trust score on the platform: 64.7. It signals that the business is best defined by the following tags: Known. Vetted. Low Risk.. We are confident about our score as we also partner with other high-tech, fraud-prevention companies that found the same issues. So, why this score? We came up with the 64.7 score based on 53 aggregated factors relevant to destinationxl.com's industry. The algorithm detected a slightly lower risk for activity related to phishing, spamming, and other factors, noted in the Known. Vetted. Low Risk. tags above. Long story short, we recommend staying vigilant and using common sense when engaging with this website. But let's explain in more detail.

Explaining Our Analytical Approach

We've displayed some important information within the Company Details section above, each deserving more explanation:

  • Proximity to Suspicious Websites
  • Threat Profile
  • Phishing Profile
  • Malware Score
  • Spam Score
  • Domain Blacklist Status
  • HTTPS connection
  • Domain Creation Date

While some are self-explanatory concerning destinationxl.com, let's dive deeper into the remaining ones.

Proximity to Potentially Harmful Websites

This metric gauges the connection, scored on a scale of 1 to 100, between destinationxl.com and websites marked as suspicious. Elevated scores point to a stronger link with these questionable online destinations. It's worth noting that website owners might not always be aware of their site's proximity to these dubious platforms or servers. However, a "Proximity to Suspicious Websites" score surpassing 80 strongly indicates a high-risk website, while a score below 30 signifies a less-threatening site.

Risk Factors: Threat, Phishing, Malware, and Spam

These indicators reveal the vulnerabilities and elements embedded within the HTML code of destinationxl.com. They become especially pertinent if the website has received reports from internet users who've encountered unsolicited emails, ads, or messages related to the site. In the context of destinationxl.com, our investigation continues working to pinpoint the specific category, but we welcome your insights in the comments below. A high Malware score generally implies the presence of suspicious code that might be unknowingly disseminated. Conversely, a high Spam score hints at a possibly spam-ridden email address associated with the business. Scores under 30 in both categories are reassuring, but any score surpassing this threshold should raise concerns. destinationxl.com is likely a safe website, given all the risk factors and data numbers analyzed in this in-depth review. Share your experience in the comments.

Domain Blacklisting Status

This term indicates whether destinationxl.com has landed on any online directories' blacklists and earned a suspicious tag.

Assessing HTTPS Connectivity

This section provides insight into whether destinationxl.com boasts an 's' at the end of the 'HTTP' protocol listed in your browser's address bar. If the tab displays in green, consider it a positive sign.

Safe Check

We want our trust scores and reviews to be as accurate as possible so that you can protect yourself from online fraud. Our algorithm aggregates factors that efficiently analyze a company's website, in this case, destinationxl.com.

Their app absolutely sucks. I was looking at items. I added two items to the cart. I setup my PayPal account. And it just automatically checked out with the items in my cart. It had said I would be able to review my cart before checking out. But that isn't what it did. As soon as I had my PayPal setup on your app, it skipped the next page and auto checked out. I have tried to chat in the app to stop the stupid order. And it auto closed the chat after I already had typed in a full message three separate times. I will never shop with this company again. The whole process online is nothing but frustration and I feel like a scam. I want the non authorized order cancelled. $18 for a shoe horn and disposable lint brush. And that is AFTER using my $20 coupon! Items that should cost less than $10 at virtually any store, they are saying is $37 with price, shipping and their $1.99 handling fee now. Absolutely absurd. Others in the comments are right. This place is WAY, WAY overpriced. I bought a dress shirt, trousers and a belt in store. And it was nearly $175! I only bought them, because I needed them next morning for a court case. Otherwise, I would have bought these elsewhere. And paid like half that much. I won't be going back to this store, or app.
I've been a customer for decades but looks like every time they offer a great brand like Buffalo Jeans by David Bitton, it just doesn't last long and then it's no longer available. That brand had the best fitting jeans I've had in a long time without any alterations needed. I hope DXL can get them back as a brand.
Purchased suit at Pasadena store on Saturday. Suit Was not complete. Pants had to be ordered online. Also ordered shirt. Store manager promised that they would be shipped and delivered by Tuesday. Flying out on wednesday morning. Called customer service spoke Mitchell the worst manager they worst customer service. Will never purchase from dxl again. Would encourage for mitchel manager purchase from them.
Waited in all day for delivery from 0800 - 1800 and no delivery got in touch the next day and they said the driver had run out of hours on his taco and would be believed today and if I rang back after 11.30 they would give me a time slot. Rang back and was told delivery would be between 13.30 - 15.30. 1600 hrs nothing again so rang back and was informed again that the driver had ran out of time on his taco so delivery would be tomorrow then all of a sudden the delivery driver turned up on my driveway and informed me that he didn’t have my package and opened his back doors and there in front of me was my package. The same driver turned up on my drive the day before and drove off when I informed him of this he said yes he did but his machine said the package wasn’t on the lorry so he drove off but actually it was it had been on there for 2 days he said. The driver was lovely and couldn’t believe what was going on but the office just lie and don’t care about their customers so stay clear as I would never use their services again
I can’t imagine that this outfit isn’t a scam. Excessive pricing. Absolute third rate junk for merchandise and nonexistent service. If you make the fatal error of opening their email offer, you will never be able to unsubscribe and will receive three to five spam messages a day offering more junk and more crappy service. Save yourself, go visit your local thrift shop. At least they won’t be sending you five spam emails tomorrow and tomorrow and tomorrow…
These shoes we bought are for my husband who had a stroke 2 years ago. They arrived and he put them I n with his brace wears r/t paralysis. They are well made, supportive to his ankle, and he absolutely loves them. And I love them because they are waterproof and the tred is excellent in the snow to come here in mountains of Colorado. Thank-you from me and my husband for finally someone making a well made shoe!!!
My experience with DXL has been incredibly frustrating, and it all started when they asked for my email address at checkout. Little did I know, providing that information would automatically enroll me in a never-ending mailing list that I can’t seem to escape from. I’ve tried clicking the “unsubscribe” link in their emails, but it just redirects me to their homepage—completely useless. They bombard my inbox with several emails a day, and while I’ve managed to filter them into my spam folder, it’s still extremely annoying. It feels like they’re using shady tactics to keep people on their mailing list, and honestly, it just shows a complete lack of respect for their customers. On top of that, their clothing is overpriced, which makes the whole experience even worse. I’ll definitely be taking my business elsewhere. DXL needs to do better.
Wide range from causal to formal wear for big guys but I will no longer shop here anymore no one sales clothing for the retail price but they do, seriously overpriced. Make sure to search around before purchasing found same jacket priced there at $90 at another location for $47 jeans same thing. Returned!!! OUCH!!!
I tend to avoid DXL as their prices are very high, it’s almost always cheaper to go direct through the manufacturer or shop at Macy’s. There are alot of brand exclusions to their coupons and deals that renders them almost useless. Their free shipping threshold is also $100. Today was the last straw when I saw they now charge a handling fee on top of shipping. The customer is now paying for their cost of doing business. It looks like I will absolutely avoid them fully now.
Ordered a pair of dark tan boat shoes in August. Wrong color was delivered. Unable to return for refund.Shoes became available in September again, asked DXL Support twice to confirm they were the right color. Reordered, same wrong color delivered.DXL mistake twice, they do not refund the original postage fee ($20) PLUS charge an additional $7.50 to return the shoes. Out of pocket nearly $20, twice.Wouldnt recommend DXL, wouldnt buy from them again, wouldnt recvommend then, their fulfillment service is abysmal.
Experience has been fine. The reason for “eh” rating is lack of new brands or designs. Same ole stuff, especially dress shirts so I’ve been ordering a lot more from competitors or custom fit shirts. Want my business back? Get some new inventory. Something other than Brooks Brothers.
DXL is predatory for large men. They charge 25%-50% more, apples to apples (comparing 2XLT TO 2XLT same brand and products) than the retail mall stores near their store in Belden village, Canton ohio. I would only recommend this company as an absolute last resort. I received a coupon that expired 2 days after I received it, and was told casually by the lady who was working to look at the bottom in the fine print to see when it expired. She knows this happens all the time and it was apparent by her reaction that your company doesn't give a f u kc.
DXL exploits over weight people. Absolute top dollar for low quality products. And, they bombard you with “rewards” but don’t honor them when combined with other coupons. Example, 20 dollar gift card for my birthday, 25 dollars reward to be used in a two week period. Today is Veterans Day and they won’t honor their sale with my other coupons mentioned above (what is supposed to be cash) rewards. Getting good value here is not possible. Kohl’s and jc penny, here I come!!
I love the clothing! It would be nice, though, if they either quit offering (and charging for) expedited shipping or actually got it shipped as promised. This is the second time (of twice that I’ve paid for quick shipping) that they’re simply not getting it to me.This would be less of an issue if it weren’t combined with the fact that they’re available inventory at my local store consistently sucks. If I could find clothing I like ANYWHERE else I would take my business there.
I bought a pair of casual dress shoes for work in what the store associate said was June. The stitching literally came loose on the sides of both shoes. It’s the stitching the holds the material and sole together. I know you have a 90 day return policy, I wear a size 16 shoe and have for 45 years and I’ve never had this issue before.
Visited their website out of curiosity and got signed up to their email spam list (not sure how they got my email... probably from some malicious google integration?) From here clicking unsubscribe doesn't remove me from their list so I continue to get spam. I have now set a rule to move it along but still a bad experience.
The employees are supposed to represent the brand, not this store. Brooklyn DXL store has employees wearing ripped jeans, hippy shirt and sneakers. Employees are supposed to make you want to shop, not run out the door. Cashier had an attitude. First time and last time walking into dxl. My money was well spent at Macy’s big and tall section across the street.
Paid extra to rush order an item and it didn't deliver. I have had some pretty awful experiences with the DXL warehouse recently. But because there is nothing close by that sells big enough, I don't have much of a choice. Had an unexpected deadline for an event, so I paid out the 30 dollars for 2 day shipping 3 business days before the event. It still isn't here. . . . . Left me embarrassed for the event. If you can't deliver on the promised date then don't offer the option.
My daughter is getting her Doctorate in Ministry degree in a few weeks and I needed a makeover to attend- not fancy but a little nicer than my norm as a Preacher/Construction Missionary . I went to the Kingston Pike, Knoxville store. Kevin Bass was outstanding. He listened, knew his products, helped me find what I needed suggesting, but not overselling. Thank you for the kindness and respect shown, and the quality of the products.
I ordered some Ralph Lauren double knit joggers in XLT, they sent LT and tried to convince me they are the same size. A supervisor argued me that Ralph Lauren doesn't make XLT but when I him a picture of joggers in XLT he still wouldn't accept it. Then told me I had to return the joggers first before the correct size can be sent out. They weren't trying to correct their mistake.I won't be shopping at DXL anymore.

“In process forever”

Ordered more than 4 weeks and the orders still in process... the customers service is suck and create more problem than solve it! I've been told that I need to send out ID, credit card, phone number. Etc info to them in order to process my orders! Never have that same problem on other online shop. It's sound likle a fraudulent activity than online shopping! If you want something from them for X'mas, you should order it now and with a little bit of luck you should get it by Xmas! Good luck mate!

“I will never shop at a Destination XL store or online again.”

I had a coupon for $30 off a $100 purchase. I did not realize that it would not include the total of a sale item to meet the total required. I don't have a lot of money and these coupons provide me an affordable opportunity to shop at DXL I went back into the store and asked about it. There was an employee out of sight when I came back into the store. This employee thought I had left and then made a fake cough and said 'LOSER' in reference to my inquiry. I purchased an additional item to meet the coupon requirement and left. I will return everything I purchased at another location. I have never felt so terrible about myself as an adult man. I will NEVER shop either in a DXL store or online again. Products used:Shoes, hoody and polo shirt.

“Never in stock!”

I'm from the Flint Michigan area, and I've been a loyal cust6omer with DXL for about 15 years, way back when they were casual male. For the last few years, I guess they have forgotten who most of their customers are, yes the big and tall men. I am 6'5 and have problems getting long sleeve shirts to fit me properly. Every time I go to the Miller Rd store the staff always say to me waiting on the shipment to come in. In addition I went in today to purchase a new watch or get a in store credit and the salesperson was very rude and short with me, I guess he was having a bad day or something. He did give me my money back, so I'm done shopping@ that store and will be a loyal customer@ the Birch Run store, personally talk with the manger and she is super cool.

“TERRIBLE Online experience - 2 1/2 weeks & counting for a refund”

I will start this review my saying I am (WAS) a huge fan of DXL and shopped MANY times online and at the local store. After this experience I will never shop there again! On Sept 24th I placed an online order in my local store so I could take advantage of a promo. I was charged $ 60 more than what my $320 purchase should have been. The employee immediately called and corrected the issue and said i would receive a refund. I have NEVER received this refund! I was so upset that i cancelled the entire order and almost 3 weeks later i still have NO refund!

“They say big and tall but stock slim fitting and nothing over a 19 collar 36/37 dress shirt”

Why call big and tall? You don't stock anything that fits big and tall people. I need a 20 collar, 39/40 dress shirt. You don't even have a 19-37/38. That's not big and tall.

“Defective DXL-Harbor Bay Undergarments”

DXL & Amazon will not replace defective undergarments because they state it is over 90 days. I purchased them in January 2022 and now it is July 19,2022 So, let me understand this. A product that has been washed and used no more than 28 times (probably closer to 24 times) and is only worn 1 day each time is considered normal wear and tear? I wear the Harbor Bay / DXL during the day and Hanes (lighter weight) during the nightl. If I do the math the Harbor Bay / DXL have been worn for a total of no more than 448 hours while other Older Harbor Bay / DXL have been worn for over 5 years with about no more than 260 days of wear X 16 hours max = 4,160 hours of use. I guess I will no longer purchase Harbor Bay DXL. Tip for consumers:Great Suits, shirts, pants. Terrible undergarments - use to be great. Products used:DXL Harbor Bay Service Value Returns Quality

“The management was very helpful in our search for a friend size. They readily helped us with order.”

The order we wanted was not in the store, but, management filled out the form and sent the order mailed to our home. Products used:Jacket and pants Service Value Shipping Quality

“Avoid buying these pants!”

I've been a very satisfied DXL customer that's bought the Gold Series brand of pants for almost 20 years. However, a few years ago, DXL started implementing the Perfect Fit styling in these pants. Perfect Fit is terrible because it means there's little room in the crotch, they're tight in the thighs, and even the waist is too narrow and tight (other reviewers about the Gold Series of pants are making these same complaints but DXL is not listening). This Perfect Fit styling makes no sense since DXL's products are supposed to be geared towards big and tall men. By the way, DXL's website is misleading because it doesn't state that these use the Perfect Fit styling. Furthermore, the color of one of the pairs I bought was supposed to be "navy" but it actually was a light blue color; one of the pairs I bought was supposed to be "black" but it actually was a gray color; one of the pairs was supposed to be "dark taupe" but was actually a khaki color…what is going on?! The fabric has also been made thinner (everything about these pants is being made of a cheaper quality). So, since I couldn't try them on before buying at the store, these will be thrown away. A total waste! Run, don't walk, away from these pants! I'm never buying any Gold Series pants again. And, DXL does not stock other brands of dress pants in any of my local stores so I'm going to avoid DXL entirely and instead buy pants from JC Penney and Kohl's from now on. And, to add insult to injury, when I posted my negative review on their website, DXL refused to publish my review. Products used:None

“Items Never Shipped”

Never received about 1/3 of the items I ordered. All items said in stock ready to ship. Bad customer service will never order from DXL again!

Top 5 Effective Ways To Spot a Scam Website [VIDEO]

There are many types of fake sites in the online world. We have some good news. Watch the video below to see the 5 effective ways you can spot a fraudulent website in 2024:

How To Remove Your Information From the Internet

Whether you like it or not, unfortunately, the Internet has all your personal information stored. How did that happen? Every time you visit a simple site and accept cookies, consent to their forms, or download an app, unscrupulous data brokers collect not just your phone number, name, AND address. They also sell this to third parties, which creates a $1 billion industry a year. Your collected personal data is used by buyers to send you never-ending spam emails, targeted ads, and, of course, telemarketing calls. Crooks use all your data without remorse.

We can help. Many people have asked us about how to remove your personal information from the Internet. If you want your data deleted entirely from the online world, contact our official partners at Incogni immediately. This legitimate data privacy tool works on your behalf to officially require a ton of online brokers to remove your data.

Our staff verifies that this service works and is trustworthy. For robust, essential protection, their Standard plan is a steal at just $8.29 for individuals, and you can extend that crucial peace of mind to your entire household with the Family plan (up to 5 users) for only $16.49. They also introduced the Unlimited plan starting from $14.99 that covers not only automatic data removals, but also unlimited custom removals available right away upon purchasing the Unlimited plan. It allows users to submit websites not yet covered by Incogni and get their data removed from there, too. They also offer a free exposure scanner that will give you an insight into what data of yours is exposed and where.
