The community is great because the experts and brokers explain it in a way that makes sense to understand. Everyone in the community is in somewhere in the process of business buying. Like one person could be one step ahead of you and you’re one step ahead of another person. Basically, the community as a whole helps each other through the business buying process. Get to network with people inside the community and stay in touch and support each other. It’s a wonderful experience.

The community has a lot of other people who can help you along the journey. To take the most advantage of it you will want to go to all the scheduled calls as much as possible as well as getting in on the office hours. Variety of experts is the biggest value...its actually not very much Codie which is OK since it great to have many people sharing the load.

Recent experience has been very good. They don't sugar coat the fact that buying a business is hard work. They do walk you through the framework, and then have multiple zoom/webinar calls per week on various topics relating to getting a deal that won't explode, or bankrupt me. It's a lot to take in, but it seems like it's all there. Highly recommended if you want to do this very specific thing of buying a small (<$5M) business.

The amount, and quality, of the information in the Main Street Accelerator course is amazing. Add in the Contrarian community and you’re definitely getting your moneys worth. If you don’t complete this, it’s on you.

I love the community! I think it’s really what you make it. If you come in open and asking you’ll receive what you put out. I do wish we had more avenues to connect with investors within the community though. I think most of the hustlers are in slack, we’re all talking among eachother which is helpful. We all share so many deal reviews but only a few of us are able to connect with partners that can help put our ideas in motion. I also think if we could have 2 years within the community for the price we pay for one would be amazing too🤗

Contrarian Thinking is full of helpful, experienced, and knowledgeable people. There's more help and zoom calls available from staff than I know what to do with (and that's a good thing). And the members inside the community have a positive vibe and are willing to share their thoughts, advice, and wins/losses for everyone's mutual benefit. Like many successful communities, you join for the content and stay for the people. Definitely recommended.

This community is great to learn about buying a business and building networks. The people are extremely knowledgeable and helpful! I've learned valuable lessons from participating in meetings and attending events. I would recommend joining the team!

This community is the best of the best. I don’t say that lightly. There is so much relevant (relevant being the key word) it will make your mind spin. The people within the community are true experts in their fields. The Knowledge given here to start or Acquire a business, Is something anyone even thinking about the idea I should experience. Community will save you hundreds of hours and thousands upon thousands of dollars and mistakes that could be made along the way

The course is decent but the size and activity level of the community is better. They seem to be working really hard to make sure everyone who asks for help or feedback gets it. I also appreciate the emphasis they put on members being generous with one another and the facilitators work hard to make themselves available. I also attended the community event, Main St Over Wall St and was impressed with the caliber of members I met. Most people were already successful business owners or high paid employees in their respective industries looking to acquire.

Joining the Contrarian Community has been a game-changer for me. The access to resources, expert support, and having a second set of eyes on deals has been invaluable. Programs like MSOWS and the workshops offer practical, actionable insights that I’ve applied directly to my business decisions. Beyond that, the community creates a space for accountability and connection, which has helped me stay on track and make smarter moves. If you’re serious about growing as an entrepreneur and want a group that genuinely cares about your success, this is it.

IT has been an excellent source of information and expertise. The like-minded people at the various events as well as the positivity of the in-person events and calls has been very positive in my journey to purchase a business.

I wanted to do this back in 2018. I attended a searchfund conference at HBS and found that it was not inclusive of people without an Ivy league education. This community is what you make of it. Providing constant guidance and inclusivity on a weekly basis. Events where you can meet real people and get tangible development in person. If this were around in 2018, I'd own three businesses by now. This community gives me the confidence to pursue building an empire and access to those that are already doing so.

Everyone has a genuine desire to help you succeed. The knowledge in the community is fantastic.

I've been a part of the Contrarian group since June of '23. The course, resources and people helped push me off the ledge to buy my first business. I don't know that I would have without them. I felt confident going into my deal knowing what I had learned from the group and had the collective knowledge of multiple experts analyzing my deals.Since that time I've leveraged all the brainpower of the group to help run my new business. Plus there are people who are 2, 3, 4, and 20 steps ahead of me - that's the room I want to be in. If you're serious about biz buying, so should you.

Incredible community that truly does provide value as soon as you join. Don’t get me wrong…you need to do the WORK and participate. Personally I felt the group supports you quite a bit to purchase a business. The course is incredibly valuable even more so than my masters in engineering management. Would highly recommend!
