Is classdojo.com Legit?

for me as mamy i recommended , very easy to use and allow me to check my baby at school

So I didn’t want the Plus account version which I inadvertently pressed and paid for. Thought there was going to be one of those epic endless battles to get a refund, but no. Sent an email and a few minutes later a full refund was on its way.

Speaking from a tutor’s perspective, Dojo is a great team to work with. We get to focus on 1:1 teaching and are given the autonomy to design our lessons to suit each individual child. Dojo offers plenty of optional resources that we may use while respecting our teacher judgement and creativity. The pay is prompt and transparent. The community of teachers is friendly and helpful. The flexibility of a 1099 position means we can tutor alongside other commitments. It’s taken a lot of stress away not to worry about grading or other admin tasks. Dojo assigns us our students, so although we can advertise to recruit more, we don’t have to.

ClassDojo Tutor is a fantastic platform for educators! I love the flexibility of setting my own hours, and it’s a great way to keep my teaching skills sharp. The best part is the supportive community—there’s always someone ready to help you at the drop of a hat. Highly recommend for teachers looking to tutor on their own schedule!

I love ClassDojo! I used it for 8 years when I was a classroom teacher and it was amazing! I also LOVE Dojo Islands. My students always had so much fun creating and collaborating together when using Dojo Islands. I've been working as a Dojo tutor for almost two years and its been an amazing experience so far. I love the relationships I built with my students and its great how I can teach at the comfort of my own home. ClassDojo is amazing all around!

I have taught for almost a half century and this company's onboarding process and pay scale is an insult to those of us who are masters at our craft. Class Dojo only pays $7.50 for a trial class. Few if any parents sign up for a subscription after the trial class even if they LOVE the teacher and class because in order to receive an hour of instruction (recommended for middle school aged students) it is very costly, out of which the teacher only receives $30. My only paycheck after two months of onboarding and work was $30. Management does not answer emails and disrespects their teachers during their Zoom "training" sessions by ignoring questions posted in the chat. However, after this review was posted management did reach out to me personally and it was apparent they really do care about the experiences of their teacher tutors and listened intently to my suggestions.

Classdojo has helped a lot as a teacher! It has been very useful not only to motivate my students and make them independent on their learning but also it is a terrific tool to stay in touch with families! It offers a chance to post and share pictures of the day to day in the classroom so parents can see what their students are working on. Totally recommended!

Very pissed off with this app… I paid for a year subscription for the plus and my account does not reflect the changed. It’s impossible to get help and I am unable to get a refund… I just wanted help but it’s damn near impossible

It has changed my teaching practice 💚💚, it fits awesome in the way I communicate with families and kids. My classroom mood has improved. Some features are needed but I wrote a mail and they answered me, that are working on them, hope they be sooner.

I've used Class Dojo in my classroom for so long now I can't even remember when I started. It's part of my back-to-school plan every year. With busy parents and so many forms of communication, it's nice to have one central hub for everything classroom and parent-related. I use the points system as part of my classroom management system, and the kids go wild for it! Even my 5th graders get excited to hear the "ding" knowing someone got a point. (I don't take points away in my classroom). I love that I can easily share pictures, documents, and assignments, and they can do the same with me. It all stays in one location, and it's easy to search for information when I need it. I share my class with all the staff members they work with daily so everyone can access parents' contacts, behavior contracts, notes, and the same classroom management program. (consistency is key!) And the best part for me as a busy teacher is my admin can access all of my parent contacts and notes. Having them in the loop cuts down on interruptions during my lessons and can also be used as part of my teaching evaluation. If you're a teacher and not using Class Dojo, what are you doing?

I use ClassDojo daily in my classroom, and it has become an indispensable tool for both student engagement and parent communication. If one parent pays to use the app the other parent should have the ability to use the app as well for what you spend upfront to use the app it's high as it is there is no way for parents to share this app as they said

Not a great app! Constantly asking you to upgrade and get more functionality or so that you can see history further back than 7days, so if you want to check you child’s behaviour history say 2 weeks ago you can’t unless you pay! Please if you are a school looking to use an app system- do not choose this one, there are better ones out there, our school went from an easy to use app that was used by the senior school in the MAT where if you had children of different ages they were all on one app to class dojo- really NOT a fan!

I really do not like using this app for school. I wish the school would get rid of it. It is constantly asking for you to pay a subscription and whenever there's a 'message' from the teacher or whoever you can never find it. Then if you do miraculously happen to find it, it won't delete the 'new message'symbol so you're constantly having to go in and check in case you are missing something. I spend ages searching and searching for the so-called message. I'm a busy mum, I really don't have the time thank you.

Since I discovered ClassDojo my classes have completely changed. My students are happy with this platform, which is now my main work tool as a Teacher.

Potentially dangerous. Found out my daughter and her friends had created accounts as teachers. There’s no parental control, anyone can sign up, no proper age verification. I (as a parent) have to subscribe and pay and I have to agree that my data (and my child’s) can be sent to the US - this is against GDPR and U.K. data protection regulations

Class Dojo provides excellent resources to work with my students. My students get very motivated when they see the monsters and they enjoy every single activity.

Another greedy tech company who started free to get all the teachers and parents involved and now they want to start charging us. Disgusting using schools to make money, disgusting using our kids to make a profit! It's about time this app was pulled, boycotted and the education system did their own work and launched an app that will always be free for teachers, parents and pupils. ClassDojo, don't use the excuse that you don't make any money and need it for hosting the app, your prices are ridiculous. You say that 95% of teachers use it, what kind of profit is that? It's pure greed you horrible people.

I use a ClassDojo to get in touch with my families and I could do it any other way. It helps me connect with my students and their parents.
