Is citygatehousing.com Legit?

If you refuse to do your due diligence, are seduced by high rates of return and ignore warnings then this is what you get.I have spoken to many investors and tried to warn them about Citygate but most went ahead and invested regardless.

In July, my partner and I invested £13,000 with Citygate, and everything started on a positive note, with the first return received as promised on September 20. However, we encountered an unexpected delay with the second payment, and initially, there was a lack of communication, which was naturally concerning.When we couldn’t reach anyone by phone, I left messages and was worried by the silence. However, since then, the Citygate team has been actively working to address our concerns. They’ve been in touch, and I feel reassured by their commitment to resolving the issue.It’s encouraging to see that Citygate is taking steps to re-establish clear communication and deliver on their commitments. We’re pleased with their response so far and look forward to a smooth experience moving forward as they have promised us our money back in February.

Scam!!! Well marketed, well presented, promises government and local authority backed. Then they're gone with you money and the property isn't even theirs to rent, lease or own.I ignored, the little niggle in my gut and now down £27,000. Reported to the police!

People leaving reviews like Najeeb Alneab (below) are clearly connected to Citygatehousing and are the ones pocketing investors money. Their message should be flagged and removed from this site. Which company doesn't respond to emails or have a phone number to contact? Day by day it is becoming more and more apparent they are scammers. Plain and simple there is no government backing and there is no social housing. They have 0 contracts with any councils as they claim and no estate agent of the blocks they mentioned have heard of them! Justice will be served to these frauds!

They took my 65k for 5 units and promised 36 months of 'guaranteed' payments every quarterly. They even went to lengths to proove this was goverment backed and regulated so so nothing could go wrong and my payments would not stop. How wrong was I, after 1 payment all payments have been halted and they can not be reached.After closer inspection, I did a little research on the property I had invested with and contacted the owner and the owner has no contract with CG nor has he ever heard of them.I put my money and faith in them and they ruined my family.AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

I’m having the same issue. Invested back in July, meant to received 1st payment on 20th October. Received an email regarding banking issue , just like someone other people mentioned here in their concern. Since then I’m trying to call and emails after emails, but there is no answer as of yet. I will wait another week before take a legal action, bring police in and other channels if needed. We all need to make enough noise to the authorities have no option, but to take action against these scammers.

My partner and I have invested in several Citygate housing properties this year as we have a passion for helping the homeless and the disabled. This style of investing was completely new to us though so we had a lot to learn. There’s definitely a lot to take in, but Siobhan and Matthew are really experienced and were very patient with all of our questions even to the point of sending us diagrams and videos of how everything works which massively helped. When we decided to go for it they guided us through everything perfectly and kept us updated regularly. We are now receiving our returns on the exact dates each month as promised on the paperwork so really happy in that respect too. We honestly couldn’t be happier with the experience to the point of highly recommending the opportunity to our family and friends.

October payment still hasn’t been received, and there's been no direct update on the supposed banking issue. It leaves me wondering if there was any malicious intent. They also announced an institutional buyout and claim they’ll return our initial investments by February 2025. With the lack of transparency, how can we trust this promise?They have ceased all communcations!

I knew it was a scam! They almost had me but I was careful enough to talk to a specialist about before I invest. What a shame that the law allows these scammers steal from innocent people. Take legal actions asap or they’ll disappear with your money for good, enjoying abroad with all your hard earned money. Check their director’s history, check the companies’ house website before you invest in any company.

Investing with CityGate Housing. Think of it as a unique opportunity to watch your hard-earned money be spirited away to… well, I'm not entirely sure. Somewhere mysterious, definitely sunny, and far from any returns you’ll ever see.They market it as a “government-backed income” investment, which sounds reassuring—until you realise that the only thing that's actually guaranteed is their ability to dodge you once they’ve got your cash. Lovely.And the customer service? The last time I heard from them, I still had hope, which tells you how long it’s been. They call it a “partnership.” A partnership? I’d have more luck partnering with my late mother-in-law. I’m wondering if the next step is to send smoke signals to get an update.So, if you fancy an investment experience with all the customer service of a faulty toaster, CityGate’s your place. Just don’t expect them to respond, fix anything, or act remotely like a functioning company. Toss your money into a well instead. At least it won’t pretend it’s emailing you back.

I was due to receive my first investment payment on October 20th, but nothing has come through. They communicated about having banking issues and that I will get paid within 7 working days but that has not happened. I am so distressed as £13,500 is all the savings I had. No one from Citygate has reached out, and calls to the provided number go unanswered. It’s starting to seem very suspicious. The silence from them—no contact by email, phone, SMS, or WhatsApp—says a lot, especially given how quickly they reached out to take the funds initially.

Been working with Citygate Housing for a considerable amount of time. Questions are always answered. Meetings are always informative. Payments are always made in full and on time. Fantastic partner to have!

Does anyone know what we do here… Money was invested and now none of the numbers work, no one responds on the instagram, people saying they invested money and no return What is the next step we can take to try and get our money back Help much appreciated

Recieved an email this evening from Citygate Housing saying they are going to be reimbursing all investors their initial investment back by Feb 2025…..? I’m not sure if I trust this, can anyone share some advice on what we need to do to get our money back and which authorities to speak with?

Nikki has been a pleasure to work with, put my mind at ease after my initial apprehension, and always quick to respond to any queries I had.As it is one of my first investments like this I would have liked a little more updates throughout the process. Perhaps this is a testiment to their success and how busy they are. However, I received my payment the other day so I can't complain. All in all they felt like a solid company to work with, and I will be investing with them again in the near future.

Citygate has not been transparent in their dealings. No direct communications and a social media posting is not how you communicate with your investors. Email addresses are no longer active and phones unanswered. Also learned that a separate company managed their sales and marketing and have also not been paid since June. So clearly there has been problems for a while now. This however did not stop them from taking on new investors knowing full well they will not get paid. Latest posting on Instagram on Friday about a buyout in my opinion is another stalling tactic. I suggest all investors communicate with each other and we seek legal advise for a class act. This is my first investment which I was skeptical at first about so I done my research. Nikki from Citygate answered any questions I had and there was no pressure to invest! My first payment was paid on time and will try to get another unit asap!

After my initial contact with Citygate I did some research & felt it would be a sound ethical investment.Later communication with my two contacts proved very supportive, giving me good advice & guidance on the investment. Meeting with my them at their office was also reassuring.I look forward to receiving my returns & investing further in the near future.
