“Unreasonable ripoffs!”

Made one online purchase for 42.00 and they claim my payment for the one item was a day late. I explained I sent the balance in full in a timely manner, but they refused to accept that. They said they received it a day later than the due date and charged a fee that totaled almost as much as the purchase. So now, they are charging late fees upon late fees, now totaling almost 150.00! They offer no grace! No explanation is good enough! I will proceed to the BBB and Consumer Protection Commission for this blatant act of robbery. “Shipping Charges! Whew!”

If there is one thing I know for sure it is that when a Brick&Mortar store was popular and it goes "Online only" and there are LOTS of negative reviews, steer clear. I haven't purchased, nor will I be purchasing anything from Catherines Online. They have more ONE STAR reviews than any well-established store should have. From quality of product, to shipping costs, to returns. Just horrible reviews. No thanks, who needs that headache. BTW the shipping costs really are criminal, just obscene. “I should have paid attention to all the other terrible reviews”

Everywhere I look the reviews for this mess are horrible but I used to love these clothes. Sigh. I ordered 2 skirts and 8 pairs of pants and I received 2 skirts 6 pairs of pants and a pair of boots? I've been waiting for weeks now for the prepaid return label and according to all the other reviews I'll probably be waiting a long time but hey run out that 60 day clock so you can say you're off the hook. When I do the math with what I was charged and what I got I didn't save any money and the aggravation is not worth it. Since it looks like almost no one ends up a satisfied customer surely these clowns will be out of business eventually. Fingers crossed. There was no paperwork of any description in my package. “Poor customer service and shipping charges on large orders”

I tried three times to reorder 5 of 6 items that were ill fitting or poor quality products. Since their tech systems are inadequate and often down, they kept trying to get me to reorder everything over the phone. On my second try with an agent who had a children's birthday party going on in the background, the reorder was never processed as promised. During round 3, I finally insisted on getting my money back (what was left after all their shipping costs on my returns.) It ended up I paid more than double the cost for the one item I kept. “Fraudulent Company”

I purchased a pair boots as a Christmas present and they changed a membership fee the next month of 18.23. I called the 1800 number to investigate and a Karen hung up the phone in my face! Do not ever give this company your credit card number they are crooks! Tip for consumers:Do not give this company your Credit Card Number or you will be fraudulently charged every month $18 for their monthly membership that you did not subscribe too!

I received my order on Sept 10. Suppose to be 2 pair of pants. Instead it was 1 pair and bathing suit bottom. I returned wrong item that day and still waiting for my credit. Called today and told a gift card issued, no credit to my card. WOW! Service Returns

“$35 for shipping?”

It's hard to find plus size bras. I like Chantelle which is a very nice brand but they no longer sell in my size. Catherine's seems to have a large selection and variety. I want to try a few different styles and sizes because I'm not familiar with the brand. I have 6 bras in my cart and shipping is $35 (I live in the US), which I assume I won't be able to recoup if I return some of the product. After reading these reviews about their customer service, I'll abandon my shopping cart and keep on looking.

“Do not make payments by phone with a Representative”

I have been a long time customer with Catherine's. I have some of the same complaints as others with order mix-ups and poor quality of clothes. However my biggest complaint right now is their payment system. I had a lost payment at the post office. As soon as I found out about it, I made a payment over the phone. That payment did not go through and I only found out about it through noticing that my credit score went down over 100 points found out the representative had used my credit card number instead of the account number. I was immediately charges $29.00 for a returned check. I called and made another by phone payment and that one did not go through either and they charged another $29.00 returned check. I had gotten nervous about the payments and made a $100 payment on line myself. It was super easy and it went through. In the mean time they lowered my credit and that caused my credit score to lower because a higher percentage of my credit with Catherine's was used. Although a talked to a couple of people who seemed to want to help me, I found that they are the kind of company who seems to shoot first and ask no questions later and heaven forbid that they admit to a mistake. Personally, I will not ever charge with them again but if you do, use your Credit Card either write a check or pay online. Service

“Worst Customer Service and False Information”

How I wish I had read these reviews before ordering! Besides not honoring promotions that I constantly am receiving emails for, their shipping info for international customers is false. Was offered after purchase of items "express courier - air). Paid a premium for it this service. I had not received any tracking notices and when I called was told that "we don't do air courier for international" and that the items have been delivered by ground courier. Finally received a tracking email from the courier company which showed that indeed it was being delivered by ground. Of course when I called to get a refund for the air courier premium fees, I was told that it was against company policy! Buyer beware... shop elsewhere. Placed order on June 24th and my order has still not shipped. The site says 5 to 7 days. Customer service said they could not help me. Warehouse is behind and it will be 7 to 10 days before it ships. Not only did I have to pay shipping for my item I had to pay shipping to return it just because I wanted it back on my card. If I had chosen their credit then it wouldn't be a charge. I took a $30 loss on an item to return it because it didn't come in on time. Be forewarned these are money hungry people. “Catherine curvy jeans not the same quality as years ago”

I ordered my Catherine curvy jeans on eBay. They arrived fast but the jeans are not of the same quality that they were a few years ago. I sent them back because they were not described as in in the pictures. EBay paid for shipping and I hopefully will get a refund with three days after arrival. Won't buy jeans from them again.

“Horrible - Do not order”

It is unfortunate that there is no longer any Catherine's brick and mortar store. Their online shopping is awful and you will be confused with all of the "sales"going on at one time. $27 for shipping? What? $11 for a return "processing fee"? What? And you can't cancel an order after you've placed it even though it won't ship for another 7-10 days. So your only option is to refuse delivery or return it yourself for all of these fees. Horrible, horrible. And forget about speaking with anyone who speaks good and real English as their customer service is "off shore" and they won't transfer you to anyone "on shore." I should've listened to my gut to begin with an NOT ORDERED from Catherine's. I bought a bra. The elastic was so thin you could see through it. No support. It was way too small. I called immediately to return it and they wanted to charge me $10. Restock fees. For a $14. Item. Plu I would have to pay to send it back to them. I'll donate it to goodwill. “Customer Satisfaction is not important”

I ordered 3 bras, I waited almost 2 weeks for them to be delivered. When my package arrived, instead of bras I received a pair of pants. When I called customer service, I was told they would ship the bras, but they would charge my card again. And once the pants were returned they would refund my card. Um, no.this mistake was on their end. They should send me the bras and not charge me again, even if it is a temporary charge. I didn't order the pants, I don't want the pants. I will return them. I would have been satisified with an apology, told that my correct order would be sent out immediately and told that the shipping and handling would be credited back to my card. Instead, I am getting a refund for my bras, but that won't happen until they receive the pants back. This is bull$#*!. I am really disappointed in Catherines. “Give them a chance”

I see Catherine's trying to come back from the pandemic. I ordered some swimsuits for my vacation but didn't arrive in time for my trip. A month. Catherines is O. K if you like something and are willing to wait for it. Don't order something if you need it for a specific date. I would order again if I really liked something and it comes a little later. I was happy with the items when they arrived. Also, you really have to know your size because sending it back will cost you money and I'm not about to do that. “Coupons - Too many rules/regulations”

I purchase most of my clothes from Catherine's Plus Shops and have done so for the past years. However, I am very displeased with the coupons that are issued by this store. There are so many restrictions on which items the coupons can be used on that I am ready to switch stores to make my clothing purchases. Don't give me a coupon for 25% off and then tell me I can only use it on certain items. This is very confusing and misleading. Thank you for listening to my concerns.

“Better quality than most plus size stores”

They've raised their prices within the past 5-7 years, so you have to search out the deals and coupons, but their clothes are of a higher quality than most plus sized clothes. It's the best place for extended plus. If you're a regular plus, Kohls has better prices. If you have an issue and need customer service, call, don't web chat. “I'm a first and last time customer here”

I'm a first and last time customer here. They had a great sale and I got carried away and spent $250. I checked the return policy before ordering and they mentioned using the enclosed label and that shipping was not refundable, but I guess I forgot to read the fine print. I expected a pre-paid label with a return charge deducted that was equal to what I had paid when purchasing. But you're responsible for shipping back on your own, plus insurance. Because my items were heavy sweaters and velour warm-ups, it cost me $25.00 to send back on top of the original shipping charge! I did like the quality of their clothes, but it was all really big on me. I wouldn't recommend this site unless you're very sure of your size.

Then they send me a notice saying my payment for the 3rd item wouldn't go through which is bull because the first two items were the same payment method. The third item that was backordered happened to be on sale when I placed the order. I think they were hoping I'd re-order it at the regular price by saying my payment failed but there is no way!
