Elevated scores point to a stronger link with these questionable online destinations. It's worth noting that website owners might not always be aware of their site's proximity to these dubious platforms or servers. Top 5 Effective Ways To Spot a Scam Website [VIDEO]
There are many types of fake sites in the online world. We have some good news. Watch the video below to see the 5 effective ways you can spot a fraudulent website in 2024:
How To Remove Your Information From the Internet
Whether you like it or not, unfortunately, the Internet has all your personal information stored. How did that happen? Every time you visit a simple site and accept cookies, consent to their forms, or download an app, unscrupulous data brokers collect not just your phone number, name, AND address. They also sell this to third parties, which creates a $1 billion industry a year. Your collected personal data is used by buyers to send you never-ending spam emails, targeted ads, and, of course, telemarketing calls. Crooks use all your data without remorse.
We can help. Many people have asked us about how to remove your personal information from the Internet. If you want your data deleted entirely from the online world, contact our official partners at Incogni immediately. This legitimate data privacy tool works on your behalf to officially require a ton of online brokers to remove your data.
Our staff verifies that this service works and is trustworthy. For robust, essential protection, their Standard plan is a steal at just $8.29 for individuals, and you can extend that crucial peace of mind to your entire household with the Family plan (up to 5 users) for only $16.49. They also introduced the Unlimited plan starting from $14.99 that covers not only automatic data removals, but also unlimited custom removals available right away upon purchasing the Unlimited plan. It allows users to submit websites not yet covered by Incogni and get their data removed from there, too. They also offer a free exposure scanner that will give you an insight into what data of yours is exposed and where.

DO NOT buy anything off of this site. This company charged me an extra $28.99 for four cat toys that I declined. I paid for one cat toy at $9.99. They are very rude in their customer service dealings. Literally threatening me with their "legal team" if I reported them to my bank and fought the payment. They did not respond to my email that I sent the same day of purchase telling them to please refund the money. Then, two days later, I sent another email. They acted as though I never sent the first email. I sent a screenshot, They ignored it. I also called them the day I purchased and the phone number just rang and rang. I called again. It said this number "is not in service." This is a scam company. I have refunded people in my business over $100.00 when I know that I did nothing wrong simply to resolve the customer being upset and to not have to deal with them anymore. These people didn't even ship this item yet, and will not refund $28.99. They also sent a video of me purchasing the add-on items. The video shows clicking to refuse the add-on extra 4 cat toys and the screen blips and then the little blue dot moves up and shows it clicking on the box to buy it. I had a funny feeling something wasn't right when I saw that happen when I made the purchase but thought maybe I was imagining it but the video they sent actually proves they have their website rigged.
I'm also pretty sure that the website they directed me to to demonstrate that the membership charge was legitimate was a different website than the one I was using to buy the so-called cat toys.
They are DEFINITELY a scam! They have a fine-print notice that they're going to automatically charge you $34.99 a month if you buy one of their $9.99 toys. There's not an acknowledgement that shows you understand that before you buy. There's not a customer service number. You can't pay through PayPal. They have not responded to my email requesting cancellation of my so-called membership. I had to cancel my credit card and get a new one. PLEASE DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!!
Same exact thing just happened to me! I'm trying to fight the charges with my bank right now
They are scammers for sure! I wanted to buy a cat toy that costs only $9.99 but thee days later I was charged again $34.99. Going through the purchasing process online I refused all the other offers that were popping up like crazy, I was just clicking “no”on them just to go a check-out. There were no other way to buy that bloody “fish” rather than to click “Agree with term and conditions”. When I emailed their customer service and asked for refund that “brilliant businessman” from Dubai by the name “OJ from Cat Maniacs” said to me that “All the books, guides, videos or content inside of paid members area offered on this website are digital products. Due to their instant availability and to prevent misuse of our content no refunds are accepted for them”, but in fact that stupid CatBook was a free gift with the purchase of toy. It's now turns to be a Free book for $35! . And he is a layer, he said that I had received email with details on how to login into members area, which I never received, otherwise I would suspect something right away. I even tried to go on “Manage billing” on their Return/Refund Policy page and I got “500 Internal Server Error”. Don’t allow mislead you by shity website full of cute cat pictures!!! STAY AWAY FROM THIS WEBSITE!
I am not sure this qualifies as a scam. They had it up front in their TOS and I was pretty aware of it before I purchased.
The are ABSOLUTELY a scam. What people are describing below happened to me. Ordered two toys, was signed up for a subscription of some sort. Got a charge of $34.99 on my credit card labeled “cat-maniacs trial end” or something similar. Have no idea what I was subscribed to, but I disputed all both charges from them (I hadn’t received what I’d ordered & had doubts I ever would.) CC company ruled in my favor on the disputed, credited my account & changed the number on my CC.
Did your bank ask you for proof that this is a scam? My bank is asking me for proof buy I don't know what proof to give them
SCAM ALERT. They did charge me 34.99 additional charge for a $9.99 ad. I wish I saw the reviews first. SHAME on them. I had to get a new cc number as well.
To make a very long story somewhat shorter, I never delete e-mails until the transaction is over and done with. I could therefore print out for the credit card card company the complete thread. I can not prove I never ticked off a box I shouldn't have, anymore than they can prove that I did, but I can demonstrate that I never received a "welcome new member" message or directions for logging on as such. We are hoping we won't have to cancel the credit card and start over. I got four of the cat toys, and they arrived promptly. I thought that they would make fun gifts for friends and family with cats. The cats have given their final verdict on the toys: "Looks like fish. Flops like fish. Smells like phish." They want nothing to do with them, and incidentally I have to throw them on the ground quite hard to get them to flop at all. I can't even give them away.
The company delivered the cat toy on time and had a very friendly customer service. Yes, they did have a trial for their membership program, but it was pretty well pointed out and I had 3 days to cancel it (which I did not because I wanted to see if the lessons would be helpful - it turned out they were).
Why are you reporting a positive review on a scam reporting site? What brought you here in the first place?
Great toy for the cat. She adored it! Their membership was well structured and I was completely aware of it. I checked it, decided it's not for me and wrote to cancel it. They did in less than 24 hours and I was never charged :)
What brought you to a scam reporting site if you had a positive experience?
i ordered at this site and expected to recieve a box full of different toys, treats etc but what i got was a bag of cat items most of which i was not interested in there was only one cat toy in the bag i do not intend to order from this site again as i was very disappointed with what i received
and there was only one kitty toy i ordered a kitty treat box for my cats at half price and was expecting to receive a box with kitty play items what i received was a bag with a kitty bed ,bowl and there was only one cat toy in the bag im trying to find a way to contact them so as not to receive any more packages from them any help woukd be appreciated
Good Luck!! They don't answer their phone. I let it keep ringing until someone on their end picked up and then hung up. They don't answer e-mail. Their address is 106 Al Nayeli Building, Hor-Al-Anz East Dubal, P.O. Box 94895 United Arab Emirates. They have a really long and complicated dispute settlement "contract", where you will be charged fees for different things. "Legal Fees" they call it. I'm going to file anyway, and not pay their fees. I'll probably not get my money back but I can be a pain in their back side.
Everything arrived on time and customer service was great. Highly recommend their physical and digital subscriptions too.
If you have a positive review, why did you come to a scam reporting site?
My cat is extremely happy with the toy! It also came in just 6 days. Their digital subscription also helped me solved the problem with my cat's pooping all over the house :P
Why did you come to a scam reporting site if you had a positive experience?
Scam website. Beware. They trick you into buying additional Jumping Fish Toys in addition to what you've already purchased by enticing you with a low limited time offer of $9.99 but in the fine print is where it says you are signing up for an Elite Membership that has a monthly charge of $34.99. I also opted for the $25/month Mystery Box but was charged $75 for a 3 month period and what I got were cat items that cost no more than $20 anywhere else. OJ (seems to be who responded to someone's post on this site) from Cat Maniacs was quick to respond to my email complaint. He/she was very professional but was adamant in pointing out all the "fine print" I may have missed (and many others have missed, apparently) that, according to OJ, would "legitimizes the transaction and makes it lawful" when I made my purchase. Only scammers point to fine print as a defense because they design their website to intentionally mislead consumers. I knew something was amiss when they did not provide a receipt for what I purchased and provided no customer purchase history on their website. Buyer BEWARE!
100% scam - anyone in the comments saying otherwise is obviously working for them.
I had a great experience and am sure as hell not working for them!
My wife ordered a couple of the cat toy fish- our credit card was billed twice without authorization. Beware- SCAM!!!!
Bought the toy and my cat is happy with it. The subscription was also usefull for some of our challenges with our cat's behaviour.
Why would you come to a scam reporting site if you had a positive experience?
My cat loves the fish. It arrived in 7 days. Also me and my husband enjoyed the books they offer in their membership area. They even give you 3 day trial to download the books and check if you want them. Pretty solid company.
Why would you come to a scam reporting site if your experience was positive?
This company is a fraud i wanted one cat toy at 9.99 they then decided to help themselves 34.99 for some bullshit membership when i reached out to them for a refund the piece of shit thieving founder responded that to bad so sad he wasn't giving me anything their a fucking thieving company as i had selected no over 8 times on other bullshit they were trying to force on me hell as soon as i bought it there was an email already implying I'd be sending emails that the toy isn't going to work avoid at all costs unless you like people helping themselves to your money for nothing by the way the piece of shit cancelled the quote unquote membership immediately but yet refused to refund what he helped himself to as again i gave no permission to him to help himself to my bank account DO NOT BUY
Great customer service and a fascinating toy. Our cat is loving it. They gave me 3 days to cancel my membership and I did in the first day, so there were no additional charges. The company is legit in my opinion.
Why report a positive experience on a scam reporting site?
Thieves. Same bad experience as others here. Multiple unauthorized charges to credit card. They refuse to refund the charges, for which I received exactly NOTHING. I had to cancel my credit card and I am still fighting for a refund. Cat Maniacs sucks cat balls.
I was looking for a place to give the company a review and came across this website. It is really strange to me why so many comments are negative. First, their toy came on time and was of good quality. Second, they give you their terms before checkout which you agree with, give you their subscription policy, THEN give you an email with a login to their membership area where the digital content is (it's up to you to use it or not) AND THEY GIVE YOU 3 DAY TRIAL to cancel it. It is really sad to see a legit company being given so many reviews because of a people's lack of attention and sense of entitlement while purchasing online. I for example used the subscription for 1 month, then wrote them to cancel it and they did within 24 hours.
Matthew, I got the Toy, It came on time, Cat loves it. I didn't get terms before checkout, I didn't subscribe to anything, I was never given an e-mail with a login to any membership, I would have cancelled on the spot if they had. I never heard, saw or read a single word about a 3 day trial. Again I would have cancelled on the spot. Matthew I'm not a ignorant person, I have a degree in Engineering, I'm detailed. Again who did you buy from? Its not a legit Company, I'm happy you are pleased with what you got, but just because you are does not make the rest of us stupid.
Matthew, you are full of S&#@!They only send me the fish!Nobody gives you a 5 page agreement to sign!!They never send me an email with a log in to their membership!!!They never answer the phone!!
Both toy and digital content (paid and unpaid for) are awesome. I am keeping their subscription for now. To all the negative comments - read what you are purchasing before you criticize the world! I read my checkbox before checkout, went down to read the subscription policy, put the checkmark meaning I agree with the terms and purchased. They sent me 2 emails with confirmation, one of them was a link to the paid members area. After 3 days I was charged as expected. Thats it :)
If you had a positive experience, why would you even come to a scam reporting site?
Dear God Monica! I read everything, I always do. Most people do. I know how to read, been doing it since I was 5. Who did you buy from and how much did they offer you to come on a scam reporting outlet to praise them? HUMMMMM?
Their website is organized like an Ikea store; you can't just grab what you came for and go. They will show you a progress bar and force you to parade past a lot of other merchandise to consider, while warning you that your order will have trouble (they allude to duplicated) if you do not play their game to the end. I got fed up with the tactic and escaped the website, deciding I could do without the toy fish rather than play at this stupidity. STILL, they billed my credit card for the toy fish. I've asked then to cancel the order and I've disputed the charge. I advise you to stay away.
Addendum to my post: watch out! This guy is a con artist! Don't be fooled like I was. I was hit with credit charges from Sofia (city in Bulgaria) and Dublin. Got a smart-mouthed email from their "customer service" that was purportedly sent from Dubai. The toy got here and I refused delivery of it. I am still disputing charges with my credit card company (one for the accursed toy, one for the accursed "membership").
Awesome product and great subscription. Glad to give them a 5 star review :)
Why did you come to a scam reporting site to report a positive experience? Why would you even think to come here?
I have received the cat toys. However, I did not realize I was going to have to become a member in order to purchase the toys. I cannot find the site again where I purchased four cat toys and assured the seller over and over that I did not care if my cat was happy, or entertained, or well-behaved, which I had to do in order not to commit to additional purchases. (I should have cancelled the order right away, I know.) So it is possible that I completely missed the (very) small print that said that I had to become a member to make any purchases. It is also possible that it was not part of the site on which I purchased the four cat toys. The one to which I was directed to demonstrate to me that I had indeed signed up for membership only offered the opportunity to buy one. I have assured them that I do not want the membership for which they want to charge on a monthly basis, but now we are waiting to see if they will honor that or whether we have to cancel our credit card.
Don't buy anything from them. Other places sell the same toy without all that. Do not buy from Cat Maniacs either. Amazon sells these toys also.
Our cat is delighted by the toy and all of their books and guides were helpful too. The subscription is well organized and usefull :)
Why would you come to a scam reporting site to leave a positive review? What made you even think you needed to come here?
I don't understand why people who had a "positive" experience with Cat Maniacs aka Cat Lovers would even think to come to a scam reporting site. It doesn't make sense to me. When I have a positive experience with a company and their product I don't go and report it on a scam reporting site. To me, it is very suspicious.
Wow!! I have never thought of that, but its true. People with good experiences don't come here.
Cat Maniacs are theives. You get the toy but it will cost close to $50.00 before they are finished with you. On Dec. 1 I ordered the fish toy for my cat. I was charged $13.98. On Dec. 4 I was charged another $34.99. with the statement of "Trial End". I knew nothing about a "trial". I tried calling they didn't answer. I let it keep ringing until someone on their end pick up then hung up the phone. I've tried e-mail, they don't respond. I contacted my bank to file a complaint. My bank had to cancel my card and my account and begin a new. Today is Christmas, I still have not received my new card or information on my new account. I was unable to finish my Christmas shopping because I can not access my account. Cat Maniacs are thieves. I would like to get my money back and my Christmas back. These people are located in the United Arab Emirates. So, Fat chance of me recovering but I will continue to try. Their address is 106 Al Nayeli Building, Hor Al Anz East Dulial, P.O. Box 94895, United Arab Emirates. After reading some post here I see I am not the only victim, they have a pattern of doing the same thing to others.
Cat Maniacs charged my credit card $270+ over 7 months following a $9.99 purchase. It is a scam. Don't give them your credit card number.
