Is cashamericatoday.com Legit?

Their website repeatedly says “we are a direct lender” but as soon as you submit your application, they immediately redirect you to a 3rd party lender! Blatant false advertisement and a complete waste of time!

Borrowed a loan of $250 from Cash America today subsequently they charged me $743 for the $250 loan came out of my bank every month $18 principal and $73 fee called to speak with someone they were rude and sarcastic made me cuss him out I got mad don't go through them how is it legal to charge double or triple the original loan amount because they keep adding their account fees every month on a 7% pay down plan 7% Plus their account fees what's your $75 per month on top of any other fee they want to slide in there you'll end up paying $800 and some dollars on a $250 loan on the pay down fee plan I mean

It's not something I would do again, what you borrow versus what you pay is just grossly misporportionate. The added amount to payoff is a good way of keeping you from paying it off. Honestly I would much rather have never had this experience. Stay away from this type of loan or anything like it go pawn something, you've been warned.

I am giving you a bad review. As I am extremely upset with your treatment of me. Given that I have been an excellent customer and have already paid off 2 loans with no problems; and having requested another loan was told that my loan was denied. I have received no excuse as to why I have been denied. I would call this very poor business practice and the way you treat good returning customers by denying my application. If I could give this company a zero I definitely would do that. I applied for a loan was approved received a welcome letter and also the signed agreement that showed my loan number and payment schedule. Next day there was nothing deposited into my checking account. When I called them to request the status they said that my loan wasn’t approved which was confusing since I have received all the other documentation saying that I was approved. Lastly, no communication was made on their part to let me know that they were breaching the agreement and not holding up to their responsibility. So, I tried to speak to a manager however they would not accept my call so if this is how they do business then I do not want to be one of their customers and I would advice anyone else to not use them for loan services.

Cash America Today portrays themselves as an online DIRECT lender. However, after entering your personal information, they direct you to a site where you must signup for Credit Sesame in order to complete the application process. Once you sign up for the service, you have membership with Credit Sesame and given a list of additional lenders to apply for a loan with. A total waste of time.

Not a direct lender! Definitely the "middle man". Thanks for wasting my time just like the others.

If I could of gave o stars I would! I'm VERY dissatisfied! I recieved a message after applying saying I was approved and I also received a voicemail stating I was approved. I signed the loan papers and everything. So when I got the call they told me I was denied. I have had pay day loans and all have been paid ON TIME! They will not give me a reason I was denied after I WAS APPROVED I even sent them the screenshot I took of the approval. Do not go through these UNPROFESSIONAL people! There are better places such as Dave, Bridget, and Possible finance.

They approved me for a $200 installment loan, took my bank information then turned me down because I didn’t provide my employer phone number for them to call to confirm my employment. They had access to my direct deposit info to prove it and I wasn’t comfortable with my boss having to confirm employment for a measly $200. Definitely would not use them in the future.

I got the loan and I had used them before but their annual rate has skyrocketed.It is now 333.9017percent So I borrowed 200 dollars and I am paying payments that amount to 399.00 in interest for 12 payments. So all total of paying back 599.00 dollars. Will pay the amount off in one payment of 260.00 dollars so I don't have installment payments. Be careful if u use them Try to just use them for 1 month.

It was fantastic at first till I had multiple payments coming out of my account even way after I paid off the load. I called customer services and was told I have a daily interest charge of $6.18. If I didn't pay it off immediately I would have had to pay over $1000.00 for a $300.00 loan. Never again will I use this service again.

I will give it no stars, but they won’t let that happen. I have to at least punch in one star just to give a review anyway I would not do this ever again with this company. Their loans I was told that there would be a $90 fee and a $300 loan . I asked the representative with biscuit and he told me yes that would be it and it would be paid off .Instead they never told me about finance fees. this is to extend the loan longer and longer making you pay more than double what the $300 loan was.I advise anyone that’s trying to get a loan with this company not to ever try,not worth it. Total Ripoff. Don’t watch the guy on YouTube. He doesn’t know what he’s talking about.just Paid it off $308 after 3months I Paid $313 in interest. I would still be paying on a $300 loan into 2025 which would have quadruple the interest just for $300.

For the hefty fee and advertisements of same day deposit, it didnt happen. Everything was done, finished and processed by 1pm cst and the funds werent deposited until the next day.

Horrible service. If I could give 0 stars I would. And the employee Jason (I’m sure that’s not his real name) was not any help at all. He said I was approved then he said I wasn’t approved. And from the looks at the other reviews this happens all the time with this place. Never referring this place to anyone

I PAID OFF MY 3RD LOAN WITH CASHAMERICATODAY EARLY. MY DUE DATE WASN'T UNTIL NOVEMBER 2020. THE SERVICE I RECEIVED WHEN I CALLED WAS EXCEPTIONAL.I SPOKE TO DAVID FIRST WHO EXPLAINED THAT I COULD PAYWITH MY DEBIT CARD TO AVOID A 3 BUSINESS DAY DELAY TO RE APPLY. HE TRANSFERRED ME TO JOSHUA WHO WAS FRIENDLY, KNOWLEDGEABLE AND UNDERSTANDING. HE ANSWERED MY QUESTIONS AS WELL AS OFFERED ADDITIONAL INFORMATION I DID NOT THINK TO INQUIRE ABOUT. THE ENTIRE PROCESS TOOK VERY LITTLE TIME YET HE COVERED EVERYTHING I NEEDED FROM START TO FINISH.I HOPE HE IS RECOGNIZED AND APPRECIATED FOR HIS AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE.

I love their flexable loan pay back they offer. I have been a long time borrower and not once has there been any complications. Customer service is the best, loan intreast are low and totally due able. This company does want to help you vs sinking you, like other loaners do. I highly recommend CAT.Rebecca Zarate.

Poor customer service, Assistant Manager rude and they don't check or clean the equipment they sell properly.

No loans are inexpensive but if you need to take out a loan, I do recommend CashAmericaToday. It's straight forward and easy to apply. Helpful reminders by text of upcoming payments. Payments are usually divided into 5 months and there is no penalty for paying off early.

To invited,I believe you're a real customer because these 5 stars I see were probably wrote by the owner or employees...if you borrow say $200 and want to pay it back a week later...they still charge all the "installed" interest meant to allow you to pay in a yr...in other words,paying it back early does no good like most places...you would still pay over $600 even just a week later if you wanted to pay the $200 you only borrowed....it's against the law.I'm testing these ppl.i filled out a soft inquiry loan...this fool with a British accent calls and asked if still needed a loan..I said yes,I need $500. He hung up...these online loans are scams...I'm glad trust pilot trust me for reviews because I don't trust anything on the internet so I'll be sure to let them know every bogus situation I encounter...I'm very street smart and definitely can handle myself so I don't respect people who hide behind a computer and rip people off like a coward...it's a rat move and there was a time people like that were dealt with...I'm on the good side now but the bogus cowardly crooks are hiding behind these keyboards and they need to be dealt with and pay restitution to everyone they've ripped off... trump 2024.. mass deportation is coming and we're getting these people out who don't want to do things the American way. ..they can go back and do it where they came from I don't bite my tongue

Quick approval, I had a couple of questions on the loan before I accepted it. I had no problem getting ahold of someone to discuss this. They gave me a call to verify my payment options so there was no miscommunication. When I wanted to pay off early had no issue getting in touch with them. Great experience
