cartoys.com Review

The Scam Detector website Validator gives cartoys.com a medium-high trust score on the platform: 71.9. It signals that the business is best defined by the following tags: Standard. Valid. Common.. We are confident about our score as we also partner with other high-tech, fraud-prevention companies that found the same issues. So, why this score? We came up with the 71.9 score based on 53 aggregated factors relevant to cartoys.com's industry. The algorithm detected a low risk for activity related to phishing, spamming, and other factors noted in the Standard. Valid. Common. tags above. Long story short, this site's trust score still warrants a little caution. Use common sense when using this website. But let's explain in more detail.

Explaining Our Analytical Approach

We've displayed some important information within the Company Details section above, each deserving more explanation:

  • Proximity to Suspicious Websites
  • Threat Profile
  • Phishing Profile
  • Malware Score
  • Spam Score
  • Domain Blacklist Status
  • HTTPS connection
  • Domain Creation Date

While some are self-explanatory concerning cartoys.com, let's dive deeper into the remaining ones.

Proximity to Potentially Harmful Websites

This metric gauges the connection, scored on a scale of 1 to 100, between cartoys.com and websites marked as suspicious. Elevated scores point to a stronger link with these questionable online destinations. It's worth noting that website owners might not always be aware of their site's proximity to these dubious platforms or servers. However, a "Proximity to Suspicious Websites" score surpassing 80 strongly indicates a high-risk website, while a score below 30 signifies a less-threatening site.

Risk Factors: Threat, Phishing, Malware, and Spam

These indicators reveal the vulnerabilities and elements embedded within the HTML code of cartoys.com. They become especially pertinent if the website has received reports from internet users who've encountered unsolicited emails, ads, or messages related to the site. In the context of cartoys.com, our investigation continues working to pinpoint the specific category, but we welcome your insights in the comments below. A high Malware score generally implies the presence of suspicious code that might be unknowingly disseminated. Conversely, a high Spam score hints at a possibly spam-ridden email address associated with the business. Scores under 30 in both categories are reassuring, but any score surpassing this threshold should raise concerns. cartoys.com is a likely trustworthy website, given all the risk factors and data numbers analyzed in this in-depth review. Share your experience in the comments.

Domain Blacklisting Status

This term indicates whether cartoys.com has landed on any online directories' blacklists and earned a suspicious tag.

Assessing HTTPS Connectivity

This section provides insight into whether cartoys.com boasts an 's' at the end of the 'HTTP' protocol listed in your browser's address bar. If the tab displays in green, consider it a positive sign.

Safe Check

We want our trust scores and reviews to be as accurate as possible so that you can protect yourself from online fraud. Our algorithm aggregates factors that efficiently analyze a company's website, in this case, cartoys.com.

I asked the store to install a CD player in my car. They could only order 1. It was incompatible with my car (so they discovered). I paid for the CD player and the install. They would not take back the CD player and kept the money for the install. Terrible customer service. Will not go there again.
BEWARE! Car Toys on 2650 S Texas 6, Houston, TX 77082.My mistake is trusting this company to install a back-up camera, radio, and sound system to our C300. Invoice#09163WOZFFQ. They made a hole on the car’s firewall and the trunk to run the wiring for the system. Rain water dripped through the holes and flooded the inside of the car, short circuiting the wiring and burning the car’s ECU. We’re $9k deep into repairs and still going. We’ve reached out to the manager of the store and he has acknowledged, talked to our mechanic. and asked for pictures, video, and quotes which we have complied to. They have not replied as of this date.
STAY AWAY from the Rockwall Texas location! The so-called assistant manager Arthur has to be without a doubt the worst Customer Service oriented Manager I've ever encountered. Always on his cell phone while you're trying to talk to him face to face. Never acknowledges anything as has NO clue what he's selling. No car audio experience at all. He's a real d...
I purchased a detail from their Parker, CO location. Nothing was done to the vehicle except maybe a quick dash wipe. It wasn’t vacuumed, the steering wheel and middle consoles were still trashed, even just basic trash was left lying on the seat. Waste of money and time. Stay away and use another service.
Never in my life of 60 years have I ever seen customer service suck so bad .granted they are representing another product but if they do they damn sure better do there job and s.tacoma store failed I hope me bretler? Gets this your employees at that store are rude n unfriendly I've served in retail at one store for 15 years my boss would never stand for in cold sales people , they couldn't even let me charge my phone ya at cartoys so intoxalock will be calling to find out why such support was never given . what happened to this country...
They'll charge you three times what it should cost to do simple jobs. I had nothing but trouble from the Tacoma location. My personal favorite was the tech placing his razor blades on my leather seats. That was cute.
dont even know how to stat this , i took my 2011 chevy silverado into this car toys ( WHAT A MISTAKE)!!!! #1. they talked me into some credit program they have i was approved for $1500 and i wanted a new stereo and 4 new speakers and a little amp, they charged me like $1900 total they racked that chage account until there was no credit left .... i had to pay out of pocket 300 omg and thats not the worst part , they charged me fo wiring i dident need they chopped my wiring all up . they dident put my door panel bolts back in i opened my door if fell to the groung they dident screw the speakers in they broke my trim then said they would glue it back togethe. they took the wiring to the back of my new stereo . then i called them to get it back they are EXTREMELY RUDE and the stereo wasent properly installed and kept turning off and no sound ... I WILL NEVER RETURN TO THIS STORE AGAIN EVEN TO GET MY WIRING OMG I CANT BELIEVE THEY ARE STILL IN BUSINESS!!!
Tell me if this sounds right.. ? I was charged $550.00 installation fees . I own a Toyota Tacoma / 2004. And wasmt told til after it was installed . Then they switched out speakers without telling me . I wanted these really nice $559 speakers & they put on these on sale Alpines ..Funny thing. The price never changed ! 😤😤😤 The stock stereo I had in there sounded better then what’s Installed now ..! The Alpinrs were on sale for $87 . And they didn’t even tell me ..lol ..Ya..! .
9-7-2022 I stopped by Car Toys the next morning after meeting with some kid there night before. Sean is a assisted manager from Clackamas, that moved over to Tigard Car Toys and I'm glad he did. Conversation begin with me, wanting deck removed and money back. We then did talk about what I really needed in a hands-free deck for my truck. Kenwood just came out with a new deck that would do everything I needed. We agreed I would bring truck back sat. for the Kenwood installation. Called Car Toys Friday 9-9-2022 and talked to Manager Fernando. We agreed to have installation done Saturday 9-10-2022 12:00. The same kid was there on Saturday and said he didn't like the way I talked to him on Tuesday. He's probably off to bigger things, Car Toys is just a pasting point in his life.Jordan a great installer was there on Saturday. I asked Jordan, please do not let that kid touch my pickup. Jordan said the kid wasn't certified by Car Toys for devices and installations. Then did my installation himself. Sean was right about this Kenwood deck. It does everything and more that I really like. The directions are easy to read and understand. Unlike the Pioneer I thought was better that Jordan initially installed. Then gave me back $200 from the different in price. I am 100% pleased with the end result dealing with Car toys now. They have great managers, that were calm and knowledgeable of what they were selling and installing. Jordan was right about the Kenwood deck for me when we talked about 3 weeks ago. I was gun sly because of a Kenwood deck I hated from 8 years ago. 9-11-2022 Very Happy Customer, Lee Westerman Sherwood, OR
Second year in a row I tried to buy a remote start system.Vehicle2011 kia sorento$229 remote start sale, install included.Well the first year I brought my wife's car in to get her a remote start and $229 sounds great. So I bring it in and go to buy the system. Well the $229 doesn't include the reciever. Another $100 but youve got to have it. Also it's a kia so another $250 in parts should put it at $569.Can't afford double this year so I wait.Next year comes around, I call in ahead of time with all the car info. $569 final price. Okay I'm ready this year. Show up again, well it's a $15 extra charge for the labor because now kias don't qualify for the sale install price. Uh what? Since when? Oh and now we want to charge an extra $100 in labor for the other parts you need as well. So now you want $690? I would find a company who will give you an honest price the FIRST time. I can't get these clowns to even give me their own price. When I called the salesman on the new fees he told me it was my fault for getting a quote over the phone because they want to see the car. It's the same car the first second and last time. He couldn't explain how he had a different price even though he never looked at the car and just entered the information I gave him.I don't understand what they're doing here but if their customer service is indicative of their work ethic and organization then would rather crush my toes with a hammer than try to do business with them. And if they can't get the details right I would never let them touch my vehicles.Multiple stores, multiple employees.
I had the same issue. I had to ask for $900 back. I have a newer Toyota, the Radio and GPS worked, but the GPS wasn't very good. So, I went to Cartoys asking for a unit with GPS and a receiver. They said try this unit and I said I will try it, but wasn't so thrilled about some features. They told me if I didn't like it they would take it out and put in something else. I paid a couple hundred up front a special harness. 2 days went by and I told them I wanted that out of my car, take it back and get me a unit I want. I would pay for what I need, Just get it. I hated that unit and they told me they would remove it and out another unit in. But they said it would take a few eeks to get one. A month went by, then and I asked them if I bought one myself and brough it in they would refund the money I paid for the first unit and install the 2nd unit. They charged me again and plus they refused to refund the first unit, after they took that unit back as per agreement. I was already in about $2,300, counting the new unit I brought them. Then they charged me another $100 for the install, and kept another set of wiring, documents and accessories I brough with the new boxed unit. I had to send a letter to the headquarters and ask for a refund of $900. They did refund me, but it was like pulling teeth out of a great white. They still have one of my sets of install accessories, one of the special conversion boxes used to install aftermarket headunits, plus the accessories used in installs. Which I had gotten in that box with the Headunit I Purchased on my own. PLus, as per my problem with the unit, the radio antenna is not working correctly. They blamed the area we were in, a large city, and said the radio signals are not good there. B. S. I am disabled and am really having a hard time and decided I would try a pro shop, and I can do a better job being disabled. They have these specials where they say free installs, but find ways to tack on lots of money. I don't mind paying for quality work, but they really don't know what they are doing. PLus they will charge you every chance they get. PLus they can't seem to be able to order parts, yet I can, and I am no one special. I am shocked that they are still in business.I had to go into my Alpine Car HeadUnit and fix the problems they made while in there. I took it partially out and fixed the powered antenna. I can now receive radio stations They never attached the 12v power to the Antenna amplifier on my Toyota. 41,00 Alpine with no radio reception, which I tried to explain to them for 2 months that the reception should have no problems at all, and they insisted it was the radio. They had the wrong wires hooked up to the wrong places! I will not even bother going back to tell them how to run their business, but they are going to end up in deep crap, I am shocked they are still in business!

“Beware "Free Installation" Deals”

Car Toys frequently has sales and advertises Free Installation, then when you get your stereo and take it in for installation they want to charge you $1100 for the "Free" installation, claiming that free is only for a basic install and whatever you purchased (a Basic $249 stereo) requires lots of extra parts and work that isn't noted anywhere at all in anything you've received. What a rip off. This is how they make their money - cheep prices and gouge the customer with overpriced installation fees. I'll never shop with them again and I'll do everything in my power to let others know not to as well.

“GPS tracker couldn't disable starter”

The whole point of GPS tracking is to disable your car and quickly recover it if stolen. This disable feature only works if it is properly connected. Spent a lot of money for it not to work properly. Contacted the manufacturer and they were able to confirm the system received the disable signal. Since the car was not disabled it is an installation issue. Part of the installation process is to confirm it works properly. This obviously was not done. Wonder how many others received a bill for something that doesn't work. Hopefully people test this function before finding out the hard way it was not connected properly. Products used:GPS tracking system Service Value Quality

“Ripped off”

I paid for a light bar around 500.00 used there snap finance paying 99.00 a week n yes I didn't noticed until later I ended up paying close to 2,000.00 never again will I use Car Toys nor will I recommend them to my enemies let alone my friends! “Rip off”

Got a quote from them for free install with purchase. They guy told me 300 for my dash kit, another 300 for my whip that plugs into my harness. I did some research before calling and expected it to cost a few hundred, not 1500 just for install. I also had past issues with them so it was against my better judgement even getting a quote. They suck and as soon as I said that was too much he got super disrespectful. So they will never get my business again. I also found someone to do my install for 1k double din included Service Value

“I got robbed by car toys”

About 2 months ago I had car toys install a radio/gps in my truck. I told them that I would be trading my truck in soon. They told me that they would swop the radio into my new truck for me. No mention of an additional $1300. 00, by the way I already paid $2000. 00 and it wasn't even the unit that I wanted. There was a long delay in the installation. I will never, ever use or recommend Car Toys to my friends, family or my customers. I feel like I just got robbed. Tip for consumers:About 2 months ago I had car toys install a radio/gps in my truck. “Bad detail job”

A couple weeks ago I had them detail my toyota tacoma. They didn't do a very good job. The job cost almost 400$ and the windshield was had streaks they didn't clean under the back seats and other places. They also just toss every item you leave into a bag with no regard. “Detail my truck.”

I paid a little bit extra ($569.22) to clean and detail the inside of my 1500 chev truck. Vacuum, and clean the floor mats, and remove the stain from the seats, etc. They got one job and they rip me off.

“STAY AWAY shady employees”

They will tell you a install price then call you later and jack up the price. My quotewas 225.00 then went 525.00 didn't have them do the install took it to stereo king paid 165.00 STAY AWAY FROM CAR TOYS! Service Value

“Great service, excellent customer service and they fixed any, and every problem I had.”

The first experience wasn't a good one, but that was because of one employee that couldn't do his job right. “Quality installation”

I had a very pleasant experience with Car Toys having them install the steering wheel controls for my Sequoia. Their prices were fair enough for a brick and mortar shop and the quality of the installation was top notch that Clay provided. I asked to inspect the wiring before they system was buttoned up. All connections were nicely crimped and zip tied neatly. Don took the time to show me other features of my system and I will be doing more business with them again.

“Intoxalock”

Sam Jordan and the entire staff at the 550 Broadway store in Denver Co were all amazing to deal with. They go above and beyond even though I was there for an Intoxalock. Thank you! Service Value Quality

“Worst installation/customer service in my life”

I've never had a more terrible more offensive more absolutely lazy unaccountable experience in my life. These people didn't install the unit correctly in the first place and after the six time of bringing it in because it kept trying to reset its self I found out that they hadn't even logged any of the phone calls any of the visits where they supposedly fixed it. Nothing at all. I got into two accidents while having the drone God dash cam installed and neither one were record because the unit was not working correctly. Unbelievable. Don't ever go to car toys I spent three thousand dollars for nothing.

“Sweet deals on Alpine speakers”

Sweet deals on Alpine speakers. My local auto shops are charging me about 50% more than this website for the same exact alpine system. That does not include installation. Instead I bought it from cartoys and brought it down to an arco station and got it installed for just a couple hundred dollars. I could not believe what a rip off those car stereo stores are these days. I cannot see them staying in business when I can buy the same stereo online and have it installed by a regular garage.

Car toys are the worst when it comes to ethics and business conduct/ Practice. They cheat, promise you with best service and they are on the other side of that! If you do not agree with them and accept their mistakes, they humiliate you and prove you wrong no matter what evidence you have. They will never refund you your full money, In case if they accepted to cancel the deal!

“RIPOFF with a pioneer open box special?”

Open box special, a pioneer Top-O-Line in dash with backup cam for the wife. Great deal. Great service. Great install. Volume control did not last even 2 lousy, stinking hours? Volume up works fine, but then it lowers volume back down to ZERO on its own? I have had 2 dealings, purchases from Car Toys in the past and there were NO PROBLEMS or SCAMS what so ever. Now the Colorado Springs CO, north Academy Car Toys store is out to destroy their integrity. How sad. A fix is due in the next few days. Hope it works? “I feel sorry for myself as a customer with Car Toys”

I had Car Toys put in my stereo and rear view camera for my Dodge Truck. I paid $400 for service and quality of work that was far below what I paid. I had to go to another stereo installation business to find out a relay was Needed so the stereo could work properly. Car Toys took the cheapest route To wire in the stereo and by doing so made the stereo work improperly. They don't Deserve a star but had to put in one star to submit a review

“Wonderful service and an excellent installation!”

Jordan and his crew at Car Toys, Spokane provided knowledgable options for a new car stereo/CD player, and then they installed the same while I waited. All of this happening during the holiday season when everyone is usually busy and cranky! Just the opposite happened at the store and I am quite pleased with the result. Sincerely, Mark J. Bessermin

“Cartoys in Shenandoah, TX. AWESOME!”

I went to Cartoys in Shenandoah, TX. To have a stereo installed. Now I am a repeat customer from about 6 years ago. SAME CUSTOMER SERVICE! In 6 years I was sill met with great customer service. Same great and friendly attitudes and fast service. I was scheduled for about 3 hours for the install. They had it done in less than an hour. SUPER FAST and done right. “Quality installation, audiophile performance!”

Approx. 3 months ago I purchased Kenwood's next to top of the line double din audio system from Car Toys Willowbrook for my 2008 Corvette. I initially hesitated because I thought it to be pricey. I decided to go ahead and pull the trigger. First Elijah took a considerable amount of time educating me on exactly what I was purchasing 'cause I had a thousand questions. Tim the installer explained what was involved in the installation and did a first class job. It looks like a factory unit perfectly installed with not a scratch on my console. Then Pedro sat in my ride with me and helped me learn the basics of how this unit works and also walked me through getting set up with Sirius. It works just like the factory unit but sounds oh so much nicer. As time passed I learned all the nuances of adjusting the radio settings to my liking. This unit plays connoisseur grade audio and I am truly happy with the way you guys treated my baby and I won't hesitate to recommend your services. You get what you pay for! Thanks gentlemen. “Great diagnostics, solid quality install”

I'm posting this on a couple review sites because many of the reviews are years old. They are certainly not reflective of the super diagnostic and install service I received (August 22,2022) from both the Salem store manager (Omar Tapia) and the installation manager (David Sabrowski). After taking my Subaru Outback to the local Salem Subaru dealer they assessed my dead Harmon-Kardon system (head end system with CD and Subaru navigation) as requiring a complete over $1800 parts and service replacement. I declined and drove to Car Toys where they diagnosed the problem as the Subaru factory amplifier --- not the complete audio/navigation system. Short story is they encouraged me to locate another Oregon Subaru dealer with a new factory amplifier part in stock (at several hundred dollars less than the Salem Subaru dealer), which I did --- for several hundred dollars savings for the amplifier part alone --- and then charged me an extremely reasonable charge for less than 30 minutes swap-out of the bad unit. My total savings over what the local Subaru dealer had quoted --- just over $1115. 00 in savings! So the diagnostic ability at Car Toys was far superior to what even the local Subaru dealer did --- and the Subaru dealer charged me more for their false diagnostic (that wasn't accurate) than Car Toys actually did for the actual swap-out and re-install. Tip for consumers:Accurate diagnostic for Subaru Outback audio system issue Products used:Car audio equipment diagnostic and swap-out for dead unit to new unit Service Value Quality

“AWESOME SERVICE”

NEEDED SOME THINGS DONE TO MY VEHICLE. BOUGHT A BRAND NEW RADIO AND SPEAKERS AS WELL AS AN ALARM SYSTEM FOR MY TRUCK. I NEEDED EXTRA ALARMS AND DUE TO COVID-19 I NEVER RECEIVED THEM UNTIL AFTER MONTHS LATER. MANAGER JOCK SMITH, REORDERD THEM AND MADE SURE THAT I RECEIVED THEM WHILE MAKING SURE THAT THEY WERE PROGRAMMED AND READY TO GO. FOR WHATEVER REASON MY RADIO SYSTEM KEPT JUMPING OFF OF WIFI AND HE AND HIS TEAM GOT ME BACK ON TRACK WITH THAT TOO. THEIR FAST AND FRIENDLY SERVICE WAS AWESOME. I WILL ALWAYS BUY MY CAR ACCESSORY NEEDS FROM THEM. THEY ARE EXCELLENT PEOPLE TO DO SERVICE WITH! MS. JONES

How To Remove Your Information From the Internet

Whether you like it or not, unfortunately, the Internet has all your personal information stored. How did that happen? We can help. Many people have asked us about how to remove your personal information from the Internet. Last but not least, here is another must-watch video you don't want to miss:

How To Protect Your Online Browsing From Installing Malware

We have two more powerful fraud prevention tools that you should know about. We've been asked over and over again about the most effective ways to stay safe online. After testing several fraud prevention products online, we could certainly say the winner is a browser extension called Guardio. It automatically blocks 100x more harmful websites than competitors and 10x more malicious downloads than any other security tool. It was tested and vetted by our Scam Detector team.

Guardio has over a million users, and while it is already affordable for the benefits it provides (just a few dollars a month), it covers up to 5 family members. For Scam Detector readers exclusively, Guardio offers a 20% discount this week. How To Stop Third Parties From Tracking Your Devices

The second most powerful fraud prevention tool you should consider is Surfshark. Here is why you should get it now, as the first 5 months are free:

  1. They have an award-winning VPN service, protecting your privacy and preventing third parties from tracking your device.
  2. They will notify you when your personal info is leaked online so you can delete your private data from the Internet immediately.
  3. Surfshark has a super powerful antivirus program. It offers you effective protection from viruses and zero-day threats, a lightweight, clean, and easy-to-use app, and a 30-day money-back guarantee.
  4. Check this: They hide your online searches, which means you will get only organic search results without tracking and follow-up ads. For example, when you search for a flight, and the next time you look at the same search, the prices are higher. With Surfshark, this doesn't happen.

For the Black Friday promotion, Surfshark offers 86% off + up to 5 months free to Scam Detector readers. You can get the deal only this week HERE or by clicking the button below. stop third parties to track my device button

Are You the Owner of cartoys.com?

If you own cartoys.com, we’d love to hear from you. If you'd like to challenge the trust score we’ve assigned, we’re happy to take a closer look. However, please be prepared to provide solid proof of your business's legitimacy. Introduce yourself with your name (not just "Admin").

When domain owners contact us to dispute their trust score, we kindly ask for the following:

* Business documentation that verifies your legitimacy (e.g., certificate of incorporation, business registration, or official records with the site or business name).

* Your personal LinkedIn profile and the business's social media accounts (e.g., Facebook).

* If available, proof of satisfied customers (e.g., screenshots, not just testimonials on your website), evidence of inventory, or records of handling order cancellations properly.

We’re more than willing to update your review based on the evidence you provide—the more proof, the higher your trust score. Please note, however, that we cannot verify non-operational websites or those redirected to other URLs. Additionally, we do not verify websites involved in high-risk financial services, gambling, adult content, or illegal activities.
