carparts.com Review

The Scam Detector website Validator gives carparts.com a medium-risk trust score on the platform: 66.3. It signals that the business is best defined by the following tags: Known. Vetted. Low Risk.. We are confident about our score as we also partner with other high-tech, fraud-prevention companies that found the same issues. So, why this score? We came up with the 66.3 score based on 53 aggregated factors relevant to carparts.com's industry. The algorithm detected a slightly lower risk for activity related to phishing, spamming, and other factors, noted in the Known. Vetted. Low Risk. tags above. Long story short, we recommend staying vigilant and using common sense when engaging with this website. But let's explain in more detail.

Explaining Our Analytical Approach

We've displayed some important information within the Company Details section above, each deserving more explanation:

  • Proximity to Suspicious Websites
  • Threat Profile
  • Phishing Profile
  • Malware Score
  • Spam Score
  • Domain Blacklist Status
  • HTTPS connection
  • Domain Creation Date

While some are self-explanatory concerning carparts.com, let's dive deeper into the remaining ones.

Proximity to Potentially Harmful Websites

This metric gauges the connection, scored on a scale of 1 to 100, between carparts.com and websites marked as suspicious. Elevated scores point to a stronger link with these questionable online destinations. It's worth noting that website owners might not always be aware of their site's proximity to these dubious platforms or servers. However, a "Proximity to Suspicious Websites" score surpassing 80 strongly indicates a high-risk website, while a score below 30 signifies a less-threatening site.

Risk Factors: Threat, Phishing, Malware, and Spam

These indicators reveal the vulnerabilities and elements embedded within the HTML code of carparts.com. They become especially pertinent if the website has received reports from internet users who've encountered unsolicited emails, ads, or messages related to the site. In the context of carparts.com, our investigation continues working to pinpoint the specific category, but we welcome your insights in the comments below. A high Malware score generally implies the presence of suspicious code that might be unknowingly disseminated. Conversely, a high Spam score hints at a possibly spam-ridden email address associated with the business. Scores under 30 in both categories are reassuring, but any score surpassing this threshold should raise concerns. carparts.com is likely a safe website, given all the risk factors and data numbers analyzed in this in-depth review. Share your experience in the comments.

Domain Blacklisting Status

This term indicates whether carparts.com has landed on any online directories' blacklists and earned a suspicious tag.

Assessing HTTPS Connectivity

This section provides insight into whether carparts.com boasts an 's' at the end of the 'HTTP' protocol listed in your browser's address bar. If the tab displays in green, consider it a positive sign.

Safe Check

We want our trust scores and reviews to be as accurate as possible so that you can protect yourself from online fraud. Our algorithm aggregates factors that efficiently analyze a company's website, in this case, carparts.com.

They were able to help me in a nice respectable fashion. And responded quick.
There was an issue during the return process of my order that carparts.com handled in a very professional and efficient manner. I will definitely continue to use carparts.com for my future repairs.
Dishonest shipping policies. I purchased a bumper from car parts over some other sites that had it for less money (when factoring in shipping costs) because the delivery date was listed as July 1st. The other sites had delivery dates in the range of July 5th-8th. It was worth the extra money to get the piece sooner. Starting July 1st I have received shipment delayed emails each day. Chatting with a customer support representative it became clear that they a July 1st delivery was actually impossible. What started on July 1st was just the printing of the shipping label which they claimed meant that my package had technically "shipped" on July 1st. They seem to trying to put the blame on FedEx for not getting my my packing on the day they printed the label, but they clearly did not pay for overnight shipping of any sort of expedited handling. My current estimate from FedEx is that I will receive my package on July 5th.
CarParts are very good with getting there products to be delivered at a reasonable price and on time. The cost is not that expensive. I would recommend everyone to go through them.😁
Bought a rebuilt power steering pump and returned the core for a $75 refund. They received the core a month ago and have not returned my money despite several attempts to collect it. This is a delay tactic designed to prevent them from returning my money. Scam and theft.
The cam phaser broke when torqueing it down. Torqued to 30 ft lbs then an additional 90 degrees. The sprocket sheared off of the gear. Bad design or cheap part I suppose.
They have the highest priced shipping prices in the industry. Most auto parts places are free or minimal charge. They charge as each part is sent individually even when sold as a group. $53 to ship 4 tie rod ends get real should be $10 tops not my problem if you ship from more than one place or separate that’s your problem or offer shipping discount the bigger the order. Seems you are profiting off shipping
Edit: As I already stated in my original review I DID reply to your request for more information and as anyone else reading this can see below they're saying I didn't. Not sure why they're lying but there it is.Original post: I requested a price match for 4 items and someone responded to me the next day. They then requested my shipping address and I promptly provided it. Then they never replied again, clearly they don't want to honor their price match guarantee so they ignored me. Shady, horrible business. Wasted my time when I could have already had the parts in hand.
i ordered from carparts.com on the 18th part didnt come until 25th then when i got the part its not the right part it put me in a real bind the time itself has me ubering to work because of their negligence and long shipping im done!
Ordered three separate parts- a tail light and rear wiper for a Toyota and a rear wiper for a VW. The tail light was fine but the wiper blades did not fit. CarParts.com issued a full refund for the wiper blades without any trouble, so customer service was excellent.
One of my worst experiences, first I received two emails with two different carriers and tracking numbers. And after a week wait, they sent me wrong item, now I have to wait 2-3 business days which is 5 more days to get a confirmation if the warehouse is receiving the package plus 7 days for refund total 18 days wasted for a part. Do not buy things here، they cannot manage small things.

Cheap parts, but won't last. Save yourself the headache of having to replace the same part in a year. Sure, they promise they'll reimburse you if the part fails, but you have to cover return shipping and (have to purchase the exact garbage part or they won't reimburse). The return shipping on the radiator was $50. After having both a radiator and a power steering pump fail in a year, I've learned my lesson...........................................(update after carparts reply)1) The return shipping I was referring to was for shipping the original radiator that failed. That was $50 just to ship a bad part back to you. And was forced to purchase the same part. Side note - shipped part back over a month ago and still no reimbursement.2) The power steering pump was one I purchased from you last summer. order# CPZ386091248. That has failed, however I am not initiating a return because I not going to buy another junk part that will need replacement in another year.
This was originally a 1 star review that I have updated to five stars. I won’t give too much detail other than there were complications with my order. Emmy and her team made it right and changed my entire outlook on the situation, and on the company. I will order again.
Customer service was very helpful. ordered the correct part but the computer system had the wrong part listed as a "guarantee fit". They gave me a full refund without having to spend the money on returning it. Great job, thank you very much Josely M.Customer Advocate Team
You will see a lot of bad reviews from impatient people. The reality is, for the part I was looking for, carparts had the cheapest price. RockAuto and genuine part were both $100+. Guess what? Carparts had it for $10. Shipping was inexpensive, less than $5. Some reviews say they lie about shipping dates, and in this case, their prediction was inaccurate, they estimated the 16th, and it came in on the 18th. However, that was still only 5 days after order date (not bad). Part came well-packaged and in perfect working order. I received text updates about the status of my order as well along the way. It was a trunk latch by the way. No complaints for this site.
Slow on reimbursement for defective part. Refund policy 1-7 days to process, then email and 1-7 days for refund to be back in account. On chat told me 30 days. Not good business to post one thing and then do another. I guess I may have to report this to the CC company.
The quality of the mirror isn't the best but I do want to say their customer service is above and beyond. They worked quickly to resolve the issue and I am happy about the outcome. The customer service is excellent!
I ordered a part at it arrived broken. I was able to fix it, so I used it. I did not have time to return it.... I posted a review and mentioned the situation and customer service reached out to me. I was given options on making up for the broken part and selected to recieve a replacement part. The whole thing happened with no questions or accusal. I'm very satisfied that CarParts took the initiative to reach out t me to ensure I was treated properly.
Customer service is top notch, but somewhere between the warehouse workers packing the starters and the shipping company, something is seriously wrong. 2 starters and both were broke in the exact same spot. I then ordered the same starter from a different company that was packaged the exact same way without any issues. Ups is who delivered the 3rd starter from a different company. Fedex delivered one of the starters from Carparts.com. Not sure if Fedex delivered the 1st starter or not. Quality control is zero stars. Customer service is 5 stars.

“No part. Customer service is a fraud.”

After days of waiting for part, and seeking tracking movement of item, I was scheduled for a refund. Why? Supposedly, their delivery service failed. When I contacted customer service they assured me I could still get the part (with additional time) and they would use a different delivery service. Days later, no contact, I did get the refund, never saw a part. So many great parts vendors out there who deliver parts, why waste your time with carparts.com? Products used:Never got what I ordered. “The parts and service were great, but they're refund practices are crap.”

The parts and service are great, but they're refund practices are crap. I accidentally double ordered a part so I called customer service. They told me I would get my refund in 3-5 days. Well… it took almost 3 weeks, and they made me jump through hoops to get my money back. Tip for consumers:Make sure you get your orders right, because they REALLY drag they’re feet refunding your money. Products used:Wheel hub and bearings. Axel nut. “Scam”

NEVER order through this site! Sent me wrong brakes and would return! I'm out $280.00 Scam! Scam! Tip for consumers:Scam Service Value Shipping Returns Quality

“Poor quality products; worse customer service.”

Bought a tail light for my Yukon and less than a year later it was getting water in it. I got a replacement and now the replacement has the same issue! They are now unwilling to replace because it has been more than a year. Seems like the products they sell are less than quality and their customer service is worse! Avoid at all costs. Products used:Tail light Service Value Shipping Returns Quality

“Poor management”

Order no СРХ*******9622. One of my worst experiences, I placed my order through their slow app and I received two emails with two different carriers and tracking numbers. First with FedEx the 2nd one with XPO. FedEx tracking show that it's not picked up yet and XPO is showing different delivery location. After a week wait, they sent me wrong item, now I have to wait 2-3 business days which is 5-6 more days to get a confirmation if the warehouse has received the package plus 7 days for refund total 18-19 days wasted for a part. Do not buy things here! They can't manage small things. Products used:Catalytic converter

“Missing Hardware”

I'm in the process of doing a frame off restoration on an OBS Chevy pickup. I ordered OEM premium parts from Car Parts.com in advance December 3rd. So I would have them on hand, when needed. I just started reassembling the vehicle, and realized that only one ball joint of four came with the bolts and hardware necessary for installation. I contacted Car Parts and was told that it's been over 30 days nothing we can do! I should have opened all of the boxes on arrival, but that shouldn't be necessary. Products used:Automotive parts

“Bought off eBay they will sell you parts that they don't have”

Bought off eBay they said upto a week for delivery sent a fake tracking number from a cutthroat company gsi and never actually sent the bumper offered to refund a week later cause they only have half a bumper told them to cancel and thanks for wasting a week I knew I should have just bought it locally had to open a claim on eBay and in the end they still only shipped half a bumper I even called and worst customer service imaginable f- now when the half bumper arrives I've gotta ship it back to them Tip for consumers:Too many idiots Products used:Front bumper cover Service Value Shipping Returns Quality

“Rush To Judgement”

I posted a poor rating because I thought that my return request was being ignored. It was actually my email sending their responses to spam. The customer service department was extremely helpful and very professional. I have to amend my original rating and give Car Parts 5 stars just based on their customer service alone. Thank you Norylin T. And Aurelia for all your help. Products used:None. Had to return item. Service Value Shipping Returns Quality

“Bad customer Service”

Ordered part for car that was guaranteed to fit, did not fit, shipped back the very next day with photos attached, was in same condition it was received. Have yet to receive refund. Was going to order a different part, but will not be going through this company again... Terrible experience. Tip for consumers:To each it's own.... Products used:Ordered from another company with better results... Service Value Shipping Returns Quality

“*Terrible*No order number...smh”

Stay away! Ordered something on feb 2 and items had to get here on feb 5... to my findings they had no order number and no tracking info for GLS. I rather stay on ebay something thats been around for years. If u know what im saying i would stay away from new sites. As they say " what you pay for is what you get". Also for my refund..."ohh lord bby jesus" how do you do a refund with no confirmation on my end. This sounds alot like a scam. I just pray to god that they send me some of my hard worked money back. Yessir! And i am a real person not a bot. Stay safe everyone! Tip for consumers:Stay away from foreign shipments and courier Products used:Didn't receive my order Service Value Shipping Returns Quality

“Scammers”

I ordered 2 sets of new rotors and pads, but ended up canceling the order the same night. The next day, they canceled one of the sets, but still shipped the other, even though they had already canceled the other. They're now telling me to return the item I will have to pay a fee. This is a clear attempt at squeezing any money they can out of me because I chose to cancel my order. Tip for consumers:Don’t waste your time with this immoral company. Products used:Didn’t use the product, my issue was with their scam of a cancellation/return policy. Service Shipping Returns

“Terrible company”

Do not order from this website. I bought a power steering pump from this company back in December and wasn't able to install it until recently. I spent half a day getting the part installed only for it not to work. So I have absolutely no power steering. How do companies get away with this? So I called their customer service number and after waiting half an hour on hold I finally got through to someone that just told me since I was out of the 30 day return window they couldn't do anything. So I just wasted 100 bucks and half a day on some garbage that doesn't work and they don't even have the decency to give me my money back. Never ordering from this company again and don't recommend you do either. Value Returns Quality

“Return”

Very respectful and professional also, explained why this happened. Quick response in emails and processing the requested stuff.

“Items Late, broken and not delivered”

Out of 10 items, 3 arrived on time, 6 were late (and 3 of them were cracked) and 1 has never arrived. I have to wait a week before I can do anything with the company Extends to try and find the missing item. They came with 4 different shipping numbers making it difficult to work with extends since they only had 1 shipping number. Car parts did reach out after a review and offered me a 20 refund which I accepted. The person who helped me in that email exchange was nice and quick to respond. Overall, I will not use this company again. Tip for consumers:It's just not real efficient working with another company to guarantee returns or help finding the product that you just sold me. Service Value Shipping Returns Quality

“Integrity goes a long way.”

Update to my first and only order placed for bumper trim for a 2018 Nissan Pathfinder. I was highly disappointed to see the part damaged upon unboxing but still able to make it work. I was not happy but I had accepted it, wrote a review about it and decided to never return. I was beyond satisfied to see that this company certainly believes customer comes first, I received a refund and will gladly return for any of my car part needs! Products used:Car parts

“Garbage items from a garbage company”

Ordered a Mazda trim piece that we needed to replace. It didn't come with the hooks to put it back on the car. No problem. Ordered those. They didn't work. Asked Mazda to install, they couldn't do it either. The parts from this company are useless and won't fit despite it being the "correct part". They even shipped the item to the wrong address so I had to buy it twice...Both were useless, just like them.

“Defective ahh car parts”

To everyone saying carparts.com are "quality" no they arnt. Their made in China bro. These are bot ahh people making unaccurate reviews. I had bought from this website in the past. An EGR valve, and a Shift Solenoid for my 2000 Coupe Accord in beginning 2023. They both came on time but the parts were defective. Definitely do not recommend ordering any part from them that has to do with electrical circuits or components. Your better off buying something cosmetic from this website. If you get lucky with an electrical car part, that actually functions the right way, than you got lucky. Other than that, don't say I didn't warn you. They wouldn't shoot me a refund. So that means bad business 😬📉 Tip for consumers:Don't buy electrical car parts with circuits, sensors, wires, or any type of electrical component from this website 📉 Products used:No products. They were all defective smh bruh

“Lies and Unprofessional”

They sent me the wrong item and refuse to send me the right part. Also want to charge a 200.00 return fee. Unprofessional and will never order from them again. Con Artist They only want your money and card information. Then she hung up the phone when caught lying about the order. Bastards Products used:Went to another part service that Professional and Honest.

“Horrible stay away”

I had ordered from them once before and told myself never again I should have stuck with that. They lie about the shipping date and you won't get your order for probably two weeks. I placed two different orders one with Rock auto one with car parts, my rock auto literaly came in one day… two weeks later I'm still watomg on my car parts order… please if you see this and you need your parts any time soon stay away! Tip for consumers:I genuinely hope people will see this and go to Rock auto stay away from car parts .com they suck and the CS can’t understand you Products used:All I ordered was spark plugs and it’s been over 10 days steer clear! “ECM”

“NEVER AGAIN”

I will NEVER order ANYTHING from this company! I placed my order Saturday, they immediately took the payment, the order didn't get "shipped" until Tuesday (the day it was supposed to get delivered), I had to call this morning (Thursday) to find out where my order was! I was informed it was returned and refunded, because FedEx lost or damaged my package. No one contacted me to inform me! And you know I kinda need this order, I mean I'm on foot! I'm missing my son's first track meet tonight! UGHHHHHHHH! OH AND IT WILL TAKE 2 TO 4 BUSINESS DAYS TO REFUND ME MY MONEY! NEVER AGAIN! Tip for consumers:I AM LIVID!!!!! THEY DIDN'T HAVE ANY REMORSE OR EVEN TRY TO ADDRESS THE SITUATION/PROBLEM!!! THEY ONLY WANTED ME TO REPURCHASE WITH THEM!!!! Products used:I had to reorder my parts with a different company Service Value Shipping Returns Quality

“Great customer service, everyting else horrible”

Ordered a set of headlamps, received two passenger side. Went to put in the one I did receive...the headlamp side looked exactly the same...wrong part.different model year. Dont do business with them unless you like getting the wrong parts.

“UPDATE”

The company did end up sending a return label, but the shipping cost I won't get back. Lesson learned on my part. Tip for consumers:Review return policy first and make sure you 100% will not for any reason need to return such item. Products used:N/A Service Shipping Returns

“Sent wrong parts”

Bought some parts for my car that their site said would fit my vehicle when I get them they are for a different model. And only sent me one rotor out of a set of two. Asked them for a refund and they only refunded me $10 of my 50. They asked me to send parts back in but only gonna refund me for one of the two rotors. How tf am I gonna send two back if you only sent me one?!?!?!? Tip for consumers:$#*! company Products used:Whole entire rotor Service Value Shipping Returns Quality

“Bad experience so far”

Ordered a rear light for American truck (Silverado), shipment delayed, so waited to end up getting rear light for Japanese car (Nissan Sentra). Now to deal with going to UPS to return part and trying to get the correct one. Forget saving a few bucks, use a more reliable parts source.

Your collected personal data is used by buyers to send you never-ending spam emails, targeted ads, and, of course, telemarketing calls. Crooks use all your data without remorse.

We can help. Many people have asked us about how to remove your personal information from the Internet. Are You the Owner of carparts.com?

If you own carparts.com, we’d love to hear from you. If you'd like to challenge the trust score we’ve assigned, we’re happy to take a closer look. However, please be prepared to provide solid proof of your business's legitimacy. Introduce yourself with your name (not just "Admin").

When domain owners contact us to dispute their trust score, we kindly ask for the following:

* Business documentation that verifies your legitimacy (e.g., certificate of incorporation, business registration, or official records with the site or business name).

* Your personal LinkedIn profile and the business's social media accounts (e.g., Facebook).

* If available, proof of satisfied customers (e.g., screenshots, not just testimonials on your website), evidence of inventory, or records of handling order cancellations properly.

We’re more than willing to update your review based on the evidence you provide—the more proof, the higher your trust score. Please note, however, that we cannot verify non-operational websites or those redirected to other URLs. Additionally, we do not verify websites involved in high-risk financial services, gambling, adult content, or illegal activities.

Please send the following via email to [email protected].
