Is carinfostory.com Legit?

This is a scam. They lure you in with a $1 fee and then, even after cancelling, persist by attempting to charge your account with $29.95. I involved my bank to reverse the charges and obtain a new card. A new card was issued and the following day Carinfostory attempted yet again to charge my account for $29.95. Evidentally, they somehow had access to my digital wallet and were alerted when my new card was activated.

Can you imagine eating and sleeping on the floor like dogs? The GREATEST gift given to these people was the computer. The evil heart was already there at birth.

They claim it's $1. But to get a report is an extra $4.95. And 2 weeks later they charged my credit card $29.95 subscription fee which I never signed up for. Better pay $40 to carfax

Never signed up to this website and If I did It was cancelled soon after, had 46AUD taken from my bank account (Fraudulently) I have a new card and have not used It with these clowns. Emailed them twice, no response. Have now disputed the transaction with the bank. Stay away from these SCAMMERS.

I canceled the trial account with this company and was still charged $29.99. I emailed Carinfostory with refund request over a week ago while this action was still pending and to this date I've still yet to hear from them. If you're contemplating on trying this company, I would not waste your money, instead use your money with CARFAX, their not scammers!!!!!

This is company is as fraudulent as it gets. They charge you $1 for a report and silently enrolls you into a monthly membership without your authorization. They have not even put any effort into creating an account for you before taking your money. The moment you view the report, it initiates an unauthorized recurring payment that you have literally no way of cancelling. When you call their "customer service" number to cancel, they try to squeeze important details out of you such as personal info and the first 6 digits of your card. The only thing you can do to avoid recurring charges in the future is to call your bank/Cc company and cancel your card. So don't fall for this clear as a day scam. It's not worth it. Even the "report" is nothing like Carfax. All the important things are missing and doesn't tell you anything more than you already know about the vehicle. All in all, a low effort scam run by a bunch of good-for-nothing parasites

This is a total scam. Useless info and once they have your credit card they just keep taking payments. Impossible to cancel. I had to cancel my credit card

Unfortunately I was one more victim.of these scam that get your account for $1 then charge $29.95Can someone do something to protect us from this fraudulent company. This is a scam. Just look at the countless others that have reported the same thing. It's true. I paid $1 and was completely unaware I was signing up for a subscription. It is purposely set up that way and they will blame you for not catching it. How sad that this company has to resort to such unprofessional measures to make money. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE. BEWARE.

Just like others have said they will sign you up for a $30 description without telling you. It's a scam. Never use this company. VIN reports aren't worth it, not full history at all.

I paid $1 dollar for a VIN report. What I didn’t know is I would be charged a $29.95 monthly subscription fee from that time forward. I revisited the website and see they now have the $29.95 monthly subscription information all the way down at the very bottom of their website. Buyer BEWARE!

They make it impossible to cancel until after pyment,then refuse to refund.Customer disservice reps are useless

Avoid. It fraudulent site. They ask for $1 and say no more charges. One week later the charge $29.95 and refused to refund. They probably will continue charging next month. Had to cancel credit card.

0 Stars this is a Fraudulent business!Their VIN Report website is $1 for 1 onetime VIN report. They charged me $1 on 7/14/24 and then charged $29.95 on 7/20/24. I canceled immediately when I saw the charge pending on my PayPal account. I filed dispute on my PayPal account.I called the company at a sketchy phone number they gave on my email that didn’t even say it was this company and left cancellation & refund request for a subscription service I did not authorize. They emailed back and said I would get no refund. The $29.95 charge is still pending on PayPal to this date (7/26/24). DO NOT pATRONIZE THIS BUSINESS!!!

One time use, $1, charged me twice. The information was worthless. Then I was "auto-enrolled" without my consent and charged $29.95.Complete scam

It's been nearly a year and I am still fighting these cowboys. My bank has tried time and again to try and stop them, but they just changed the name and keep taking money out. I have requested 3 times on the website to stop the subscription, to no avail. This last time, they gave me a link. Which just popped up with you cannot cancel!

DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS SITE!!!I saw a pending reoccurring charge on my PayPal. I had spoken with a rep from this site previously. They told me not to worry, the subscription would be canceled and I would receive confirmation within 2 hours..NOTHING. so, I emailed every address they had to again cancel my subscription..STILL NOTHING! I filed a grievance with PayPal. I was denied because of the response for this company that I failed to cancel in time. PLEASE DO NOT DEAL WITH CARINFO. I'm now out the money. They are not reputable.

Karma is real & very slow! When you see a judge sentence people to life in prison the initial reaction would be like damn that's steep. In this case there is no sentence that would constitute a proper sentence, what you people are doing is unforgivable to legitimate people doing there due diligence on researching a motor vehicles Vin before purchasing a car! Vinhistoryusa.com or vincheck.info they work with this company name Carinfactory.com” I never done business with carinfactoy.com next thing you know they tried to get money from my account on the amount of 29.95 for some suspicious subscription I never agreed on, or anything!
