Is carbon2cobalt.com Legit?

Way overpriced! Fabrics they use shrink easily when washed so upsize in shirts. Buttons are crap. I spent 800$ on 6 items and I could’ve gotten way more at a local store with better quality, convenient returns, and better customer service.

I ordered - stealth wealth soap coins. The item on page 16 described six, 6 ounce soap coins. I received 6 one ounce soap coins; just a little bigger than a necco wafer! How are you to wash with this? No one is answering the company phone. This has been in a couple catalogs, the same wording. I want to return the order. If the company needs a proof reader, I'm available !

I’ve seen C2C has had some poor reviews and wanted to leave a very fair and honest review of my own. Here’s my experience: My order arrived two days early. I ordered the winterberry plaid shirt and cocoon coatigan, both size small. I am happy with both items. They both fit well with quality fabric, which lays nicely. Not too stiff, nor too flimsy. The plaid shirt could stand to be a bit longer, because it is cotton and will shrink, and I can already tell that a medium would be too large for me. But it fits just fine and is nice and soft. I’ll have to hang dry so it doesn’t shrink. The buttons, particularly on the sweater, are rather thin and could easily break when washed, but that’s my only real complaint. I do think, given what C2C charges for their clothing that they should invest on thicker, more durable buttons. I’m wearing the sweater now and it’s cozy and soft. I’m sure I’ll get much use of it this winter. I would order from them again, but would like to see their customer reviews change for the better, especially with regard to their return policy, although I do not have any experience doing exchanges or returns with this company at this time. Overall I am very satisfied with my order!

Sizes are inconsistent; return policy and refund calculation are convoluted.My first order was for one shirt, size small: it fit perfectly, so I ordered one more of the same shirt. My subsequent order was for two shirts, both size small: one was at least one size too large and the other was 2-3 sizes too large. Returning the improperly-sized shirts cost me the initial exorbitant shipping cost of $17.95 plus a return shipping fee of $7.95, so in effect, I paid over $25 just to try on 2 shirts from a company that is based about a mile from my home.On the plus side: items appear to be of high quality, and customer service is responsive (when I expressed concern about how my refund was calculated, I was reimbursed the $7.95 return shipping fee); hence, the 3 stars. Because I don't want to deal with any more problematic potential returns to Carbon2Cobalt, however, I will not be a repeat customer.

Carbon2Cobalt has a wonderful line of clothing for both men and women. They are quick to ship and well-packaged. And they frequently have very tempting sales.

“Liars!”

I ordered a top and returned it. They declined refund and said it had makeup stains. They returned the top to me today and there were NO stains. They sent pictures with the refusal to refund. The customer service claimed they would refund but I received another email shortly denying it😡. Will never buy anything from them! Service Returns

“Bad product, bad customer service”

I ordered a white women's shirt from Carbon2Cobalt. It arrived and was actually a dirty grey. I returned it and was notified that they were sending it back to me because it had some pet hair on it. Really? Such an arbitrary reason, which, as it turns out, is the way they run their business. I called and talked with a customer service rep (they should be called Customer Service Robos since they don't actually serve anything) who never once tried to work with me to resolve the problem. He also promised to email me with a solution after speaking with his manager and...guess what? No email.So basically they returned to me a product I DON'T WANT because it is not as advertised (I ordered a white shirt, not a dirty grey one) because there was some pet hair on it and (more importantly) so that they could keep my money. Poor, poor business model, really bad customer "service" (haha), and theft of my money because the product is not as advertised/sold. Stay away from C2C! Tip for consumers:Avoid it. C2C does marketing well and that's about it. Way overpriced and here is one example; identical shirts, same photograph, with prices ranging from $26.52 to $89.00 - and you know the seller makes a profit even on the $26.52 shirt. I call this a ripoff. You be the judge. Tip for consumers:Disappointing because I do like the styles represented in the catalogue but half the price would be too expensive due to poor quality. “Disappointed”

I've purchased Christmas presents for the men in my life for the last two years from this Company… Great Boots, soap and leather bags but very disappointed with the quality of their clothing and even more disappointed with their Customer Service. FYI two washing cycles before zippers break, threads become frayed and the Fading begins. I buy and care for top designer lines as a norm so when I am told that because the garment has been washed twice, there is no warranty it tells me that they do not expect a garment to last more than two cycles from the door. I do not recommend you buy your loved one anything from this company due to that fact. I know I certainly do not intend on purchasing anything more. Thank you.

“Such a shame”

Beautiful clothing. Well made. Lovely fabrics and tailoring. BUT! The worst customer service. I ordered several items that did not ship together. The first shipment never moved from the warehouse. I tried to report this to them several times with the tracking number. The agent did not every comprehend the situation. Repeatedly reminding me about some 5-10 business days which is a given but again NOT the issue. Here I am 2 weeks later with still no package and USPS closed my case. The package is lost or stolen according to them. It never transited after its initial location. Now these things happen from time to time. My concern was more about the lack of skills to resolve a valid issue and to please the customer. This is an upscale catalog. Sadly I had to file a dispute with my CC company. Hopefully when the funds are withdrawn trained personnel will be available. None the less I'm sure I won't shop with them ever again. I do like everything I've purchased this far.

Purchased Aegis Zip (Item *******) as gift. Worn once. Pocket seam has one stitch and easily tore. Paid $149, plus shipping, for a product made in China of very poor workmanship. Love the colors and patterns of the shirt selection. I was initially hesitant to order due to price but took a chance. The shirt I ordered exceeded my expectation both in color and quality. Also whoever designed them I know they're designed in either America or whatever made in China or India but whoever designed these clothes for men and women must be a computer because the cuts the way there they fit is not right for the money you're spending

“Beware when you place an order with this company”

After placing an order with this company, I did not receive a confirmation or any shipping information. When the item never arrived, I checked my credit card and discovered that I was charged in full for the item. When I contacted the company, at first they could not even locate my order. Once found, it was communicated to me that it had shipped to an address from over 10 years ago. They stated that I had entered that information, which I absolutely did not do. I always triple check my information before confirming on line orders to ensure it is accurate. The company refused to reverse the charges or reship the item to the correct address. “Terrible Terrible. If I could give a zero star I would.”

We ordered Christmas gifts well in advance, paid for priority shipping. When the gifts didn't arrive talked with customer service, unbeknownst to us they cancelled part of the order, "credited our account" (not received) and delayed shipment on the balance until after the holidays. What a disappointment for my family flying in from all over the country there gifts were cancelled/delayed. Carbon2 is offering no solution or resolution.

“No help with resolving issue with product after purchase”

Too many retailers out there. Avoid at all cost. Issue with Christmas gift and all they did was torcher with emails did we wear it, wash it, use stain remover. Send additional pictures. “Good picture, flimsy reality”

I ordered the Chill Factor Zip, which looked warm and comfortable in the catalog. It arrived flimsy, very lightweight, with faded colors and a very sharp-edged zipper. Also short clip-type bands on the sides, just above the waistline, which looked liked they would be a constant hazard for snagging. I think I could find something like it at Burlington Coat Factory for $19 or less; Carbon to Cobalt had it for $79, so after I returned it I was out about $7.99 for the return. “Style, Quality and Heart”

Amazing company. Love the style. Fabrics are beautifully curated. Customer service representatives are courteous and very helpful. They listen. Even their online CS Chat is a person not a bot like most online retailers. I had a problem with an order. I chose the wrong size. I called them to see how quickly I could change it. It was supposed to be a gift. They sent me out a new one even before my return was sent back, so I'd have it in time. The best.

“Style and Grace”

Living in Florida, I appreciate the lightness of most of the shirts I have received. The fabric may tend to be on the light side and, for me, that's just fine with the summer months. The colors are great and people do notice the new ones I put on. I usually wear these collared shirts out to dinner and get great compliments. I can rotate thru them and like the fact that I can wash them, cold water, and then iron them myself without going for expensive dry cleaning bills. Looking at a pair of shirts right now that are close to a "fine" mens clothing store shirt at $249 but C@C they are $79 each! Not a brain teaser, right? “Bad Experience Shoddy clothing”

The fleece was so thin and cheap that after wearing it in my auto for 30 minutes the seatbelt left a stripe across it forever. The shirt I ordered was soiled around the neck and very poor quality material. All this at ridiculously high prices. Waste of money.

So I read the reviews many of which were not good. Maybe at one time Poor customer service? I don't know. All I can say is that I had a great experience with Carbon 2 Cobalt. Decided to try them out and glad I did. Ordered online and chatted with the customer service chat line. Quick response. They helped me with sizing and offered a code for free returns and exchanges if needed. A few days after the item shipped, I got an email saying that there was a sale. Of course, the item that I had just ordered was now on sale. I made a quick call to the customer service line and they refunded me the difference. Also received the poncho quickly, much faster than I expected. The poncho is good quality and exactly what I hoped for. I mentioned to the customer service rep that I had read many bad reviews but that my experience with them was awesome. He said that they're a small company and trying to do the best they can for their customers. Will be ordering from Carbon again for sure! “Bad purchase”

Don't waste your money on buying this sweater I received it for my birthday I waited more than 90 days to wear it past the return period. I had it cleaned after wearing the end of the sleeves and hem have rolled up and cannot get them to roll back down. So think twice before buying this sweater

“Uneven quality”

I bought several things for my husband last Christmas. The shirts have been great but the $89 jeans have ripped in the crotch just 6 months later, with very little use. I patched it but that is a really awkward place for the fabric to fail. I think the quality control might not be a high priority with this brand. I will not be ordering from them again.

I ordered the double layered kinetic Henley in blue with the brown collar. It's so soft and looks fantastic! Great purchase. Definitely on the more expensive side for sure, but this is also the only place I was able to find a Henley like this. Supply and demand.

Purchased men's Zamora leather jacket. Buttery soft, nice detail & stitching. 2XL seems more of an XL, so I'm glad I sized up. Shipping was fine fr California to Florida. Jacket is a gift,& I'm sure he'll like it.

“Here's the skinny on carbon to cobalt”

I see a lot of negative reviews about this site which in turn calls me to write a review. Here's the deal. I've ordered from this company probably 5-6 times over the past couple of years. In my personal experience that 4.7 rating they have on their site is accurate. The reason it's not five for me is because of the sizing being a (little) off sometimes. I have received everything I have ever ordered from this company exactly as pictured in the magazine. I have not returned anything so I do not know how that side of the company operates. For the most part everything is true to size and is of good quality. I'm trying to do better about writing reviews for good service not just reviews for negative experiences which is what most companies receive. Like others have stated, slick catalog with nice looking products that don't deliver. Generally I'd say their products are maybe slightly above Old Navy quality, at triple the cost, especially the button-down shirts. The pullover was pretty nice. Jeans were crap. On a positive note, the clothes are actually true to size, but I won't be ordering from them again.

“Good quality but did not appear new?”

Received an 8 M leather loafer which is beautifully made, but it appears to be gently worn, or perhaps tried by several other people. The heels are stretched and slipped so they won't stay on my feet. The box has several fingerprints on it, along with a spill mark on the top. The paper inside is crumpled and old. The item had been listed as back-ordered till Sept on my online order, but arrived 8/28. Disappointed because the shoes are beautiful in the catalog.
