Is canaccordgenuity.com Legit?

How strange it is that my earlier posts were not discovered by Canaccord for 10 months, until the end of Feb 2024 and suddenly between 27 Feb 24 and 1 Mar 24, there was a flurry of 5 star posts - the only ones on the whole list. The rest are all one star reviews.

Received unsolicited sales emails to my work and two personal email addresses (including one I use for friends and family only), without an option to unsubscribe. The email itself even declared it was unsolicited. This is a violation of PECR and especially disturbing giving that it was sent to a very personal email addresses.

My portfolio was moved across to cancacord after their acquisition of Punter Southall Wealth and I have to say, after a few expected teething problems, they’ve been excellent to do deal with. Joshua Llewellyn in particular has been fantastic, always quick to respond and very professional. I’ve recommended them to everyone I know who is seeking a good investment manager! Highly recommend!

I inherited a portfolio of stocks and shares when two of my relatives died and I was really impressed with how my adviser at Canaccord took the time to educate and help me understand the portfolio and financial markets as I had limited experience in this area. I have total trust in their advice and find their communications to be very timely and informative. Would highly recommend.

My husband and I have trusted PSW and now Canaccord with our financial future and as a source of advice and for many years now. Upon hearing from a friend about poor reviews on here, we hastened to ensure our (positive) experience was included. We have been hugely impressed in general, but especially with their planning and investment focus - enabling us to make fully-informed decisions that are aligned with our risk appetite. What is more remarkable is that they they have managed to continue to provide this superb support during the move from PSW and now as Canaccord. They have maintained the level of expertise we have come to expect, and (most importantly for us) still managed to be approachable, understanding and genuinely interested in our goals as a family - impressive in these recently turbulent financial times.

Extremely unprofessional, arrogant in their whole approach to dealing with clients. They took over a company that we were happy with and since that date, there is not a good word to say about this organisation.Little surprise that other reports echo our bad experience. They are however extremely good at charging for a non existent service!

If you're looking at making any money you'd be better off at the blackjack table.Six years of wasted investment time and it's been a bull market! Unbelievable.

Don't waste your time or invest your hard earned dollars with them. They don't care unless you are a high yield investment portfolio. Worst mistake I ever made was having them handle my investments. I can't get anyone to return my emails and/or phone calls. Even been turned down as to having another advisor handle my investments. My investments have continually lost money since going with them. I would never recommend Canaccord to anyone. They have basically forced me to transfer my investments elsewhere and lose further money.

My last $97,000 invested with them is now, two and a half years later, worth $6,000. Half the companies they sold me no longer exist.Apparently they excel at promoting and selling stocks that earn them commission, with any regard to how those stocks may perform. Steer clear.

Thank heavens I realised in time what they were like. In 6 months they lost me thousands from my personal pension plan. I have now sacked them as my financial advisors and removed all my money.Don’t use them !

In 2020, on a personal recommendation, I invested with Canaccord Genuity a significant portion of funds from the sale of my Company shares on retirement. Since the beginning of our relationship, and after careful consideration of my requirements, Canaccord have successfully managed my account, generating a regular monthly payment to me, whilst at the same time growing the Capital sum. This has been achieved in an efficient and professional, yet relaxed and friendly manner with my account manager Matthew. Communications with the organisation are excellent, with quarterly and year-end tax reports on time and easy to understand. I would have no hesitation in recommending Canaccord to anyone seeking an organisation to look after their investments.

Canaccord Genuity return on a on a 200K RRIF was 1.88%. When the average of the for the same period of time for this TSE, Dow, Nasdaq was 9.77%. The commission for this discussing act was over $1000 with a return of 1.88%. Canaccord/ Pinkowski shouldn’t have a licence to operate. Pinkowski is more interested in talking about the weather than performance.

Incredibly poor service and incompetence. I was previously a customer of Punter Southall who were acquired by Cannacord. My portfolio over the time it was with them significantly underperformed the benchmark. No changes were made and to make it worse, when i decided to transfer, the process was made incredibly long and costly due to cannacord incompetence. To add insult to injury, they are now trying to deduct “advisor fees” from my transfer, despite specific instructions to cancel this months ago, which have been ignored, along with other instructions! Please please avoid at all costs.

I've been with them for over 20 years and lost most the investment and can even take out what's left on the account and their charges are astonishing. I left it in there as a long term and it's down to nil.

These guys upgraded a $2 stock with a target of 21and it sells off...Do they know anything, what a joke

In 2010 I received my mothers inheritance a lot of money for me an invalid pensioner since 1972 and went to Canaccord genuity they bought shares for me and wrote a written guarantee on their value ie that as at end of 2013 theyd refund any loss on those shares The shares had by this time fell to close to nothing but theyve never honored the guarantee and I lost the lot.Can I add its not surprising they started to fall as soon as they bought them for me as I now know that their advisor was a seller of that stock personally immediatelly after I bought,,, a large holding too and he sold all of it that he held at Canaccord according to their managing director,so it appears he wanted me to buy a stock his own actions demonstrate he thought not much good,infact did he get me to buy in the hope id push the price up for him?Anyway canaccord nonetheless franticlt defended his behavior over and over again and remain adamant the guarantee not only will never be honored but that im immoral for even thinking it should be honored

Nice people, but only lost me money in the 2.5 years I was with them.
